This place does not deserve any stars whatsoever I am a disabled 58-year-old woman living on disability, and they messed with my food stamps. I turned my application in within the time limit and they canceled me and then today I get a thing in the letter in the mail, saying That I have food stamps on a card I don t know what card they re talking about because the card I have has two dollars on it and they re saying I haven t used it in 275 days well what am I gonna buy with two dollars have you tried to buy something for two dollars at the grocery store , have you my name is Jeannette Jeans and I need to speak to a supervisor or I m going to come to the Dhs office and I m going to speak to One. If it s the last thing I do they ve messed with my stuff for two years in a row, the ones Working the front desk . And this is just uncalled for they do it to the white people yes I m white and you re claiming everybody claims that they re getting prejudice. Well they re doing it to me and I m nice but they made me mad and I demand for someone to call me check my name and call me from the DHS office because I can t seem to get to speak to anyone and I don t care about this computer stuff Because it is not working for me and I don t wanna go spend the entire day down there when they pass me over when I m sitting there in the lobby waiting to be seen someone walks in and they see them. That s the kind of stuff the people do at your front desk at the DHS office on Washington Avenue , and if you don t get taken care of, I m gonna take it out with the state because I ve had my feel of it

I ve turnt in everything requested just for them to say I didn t turn in the requested information and turn my stamps off because I kept asking when was my case gone be processed. Like why wait until I have$0 income to do this! I have a child Than never answer the phone knowing that majority don t have transportation or can t leave work! This is beyond crazy!

Never answer their phone. On hold for 5 minutes and then it goes to static.

They mix up your information then cut/stop your support and tell you that you didn t turn in what was needed . While the whole entire time they have miss place or mixed up your information with someone else s. Then you can never talk to someone besides the people at the window who is mixing up the paperwork.

The whole department of Human Resources is a joke. They legit try to make it as hard as you possibly can to apply for health insurance. If I was depending on my medicine I d be dead right now. Pathetic customer service and department. Insane how they can toy with peoples health like nothing

They do everything they can to make sure you get denied especially at the North Little Rock location. They're so lazy and wo t even try to do their jobs correctly.

I'm so over this facility. All of them this is the third time they have denied me assistance claiming to lose paperwork or whatever the case may be. When I'm truly in need of that assistance. They also keep putting wrong information under my name on my case. Somebody need to fired. Matter fact all of em need to fired then wanna try to catch an attitude with folks when they go off. I will be calling to cuss them out again today because I turned my stuff in last week only to get a letter saying denied. When I got the receipt and the initials of the person who took my paperwork.

Can't ever get ahold of anyone. Left messages for days and never got a call back. Always get my stuff cut off and have to go down and do the whole process again, and the times never make sense. Like I filled out the paper work to keep my food stamps and talked to a man on March 22, the same day I signed my lease, and and somehow my FS didn't load this month, and I can't get ahold of anyone to figure out what's going on

No one wants to go here so people are rarely at their best when here. Having said that I will also say I feel you have to have a thick skin to work here. I never expect to come in and see singing woodland creatures on my visit. I call it a good day if I don't see or hear an irate person while I am there.

Did not receive my telephone interview as scheduled. I had to send an email to the Arkansas DHHS. Gov, and make a complaint in order to get someone from Pulaski North to call me and do their job because when I called the office directly; no one would answer the phone for the entire 3 hours I was calling straight; and the supervisor not only wouldn't answer her phone but I couldn't leave a message because her voice mailbox was full. It's sad they get paid to work for the community and don't want to do their job. If you don't want to work; quit and let people who care; like myself, and need a job fill your positions. I have a BA in Criminal Justice and MA in Business and Organizational Security Management. Hire me to serve greater Arkansas and the community as necessary.

Have been trying to reach someone since December, it is now February and no one will answer the phone or respond to emails. I am unable to go to the office in person because of my hectic work schedule. Absolutely horrible representatives who will hang up right in your face. A disgusting DHS, you will most likely be better off without their rude and heinous service.

Unfortunately my case is now here and they NEVER answer the phone! What is the point of providing a number for contact & no one will answer. If you need a secretary to do this for you hire me and I'll show you how to treat people who come to.you for help! Oh and don't get me started on these rude so called case workers. Can't wait for the pandemic to be 9ver so I don't have to rely on stuff like this! Horrible!!!

The phone line would disconnect after being on hold for 5 minutes. Called on multiple different phones and got the same result. Also they sent us a letter saying we missed an appointment that we were never told was made and are at risk to lose our aid. This is unprofessional and incredibly inconvenient for how important the department is citizens of NLR.

This is ridiculous so you're telling Me that no-one is even responsible let alone reprimanded for not answering the company's phone during business hours?!. What in the "I hear the phone ringing at my job but I wont answer during business hours type of bs is this. That's Maddening!

They have the worst stuff. They have given me the run around for more than a month now just because I'm not black. They can't get their facts straight if it saved their lives. They act like I am wasting their time calling to see why I didn't get my phone interview twice. One of the employees hung up on me in the middle of a sentence. I shouldn't even give them one star because they are not even worth that.

Tried calling this facility since yesterday cause my brother passed away and I m trying to get his ent card cut off cause someone is using his card and I don t know who it is this is ridiculous that they don t answer the phone when need help or need to report something.

I have been calling this DHS branch multiple times a week for the past 3 weeks and can't get anyone to answer the phone. Doesn't matter what time I call, I can't get through. The most recent time I sat on hold for 20 minutes just to have someone hang up on me.

Assisting my daughter who became disable after Gillian Barre syndrome called for 4 days 5xs a day never got a person! Just wanting to make sure they got the emailed paperwork that they requested so she get SNAP benefits!Fyi...I'm a Social Worker this is unacceptable!

Absolutely no excuse for the waiting time to speak to an actual person. I was on hold for 40 minutes at one point. I've called my case worker numerous times and left several voice messages. I understand there are hundreds of people they deal with a day, but this is a government office. I have one question and have called over 30 times today. Not once speaking to an actual person.

This location is very inconvenient. I came in to drop off paperwork, because the EAST DHS office was closed, you have to get a number like at the DMV, or at least your suppose to but they let anyone in line to drop off paperwork and get their receipt. It's very frustrating to the others waiting like their suppose to.DHS in general seems to be failing us. I turned in paperwork a year ago that was never added to my household and passed along to appropriate departments. As an honest member of society eligible to receive their services, its extremely upsetting to feel like I'm not given proper service when I do my due diligence to report changes.

Been on hold for over three hours. No answer. What good are the works if they dont answer thier phones. Then you go up there and they have the worst attitude. Especially the ones at the front desk (that Mexican/Latino looking hoe that wanna be black so bad). But they serious need to do something about it. The main office even get complaints and still no help. Next option will be if seven on your side can help.

This location in my experience, was fast and efficient for anything you may need help with.Ive not been pleased with other locstions in the past, but at the one in North Little Rock, they really seem to care about helping people, and it doesn't take forever.

Not a good place to deal with in my experience. Although I have had to deal wth them briefly for limited service. The whole dhs system from top to bottom is dysfunctional and a un-organized. And when an individual needs assistance they give the run around and paper push you about you about finances, car, employment, how much someone you stay with makes. To complete just this part usually take up to two days do to their requirements. So don't get hungry now, they can give you a list of food closets. But there's no guaranty when any of them open if they open. I even seen a top official threaten an individual by saying she was going to send paper work to a judge recommending 3 children be put in custody while the perents go through counciling for endangering the welfare of a minor. Long story short. He asked his wife to take the children and leave the room, then proceeded cus this lady for 10 min. Unfortunately them kid that come out of there got to here what everybody else in the building heard. When he was done he calmly walked out rounded up his family and went about their business. No security was involved. The official had a dumbfounded look on her face. Just from my observations the husband was mad about the allegations. But she was mad because she thought she had the power to require him to complete counseling.

Either the phones don't work or the operator is on FMLA because you can NEVER get a live person on the phone. Lol. Yet when you literally go to the physical address, everyone is sitting around chit chatting. I called for 2 days straight, at least 30 times, left at LEAST 5 voicemails on different lines and no one EVER called back. Then if the operator answers, she gives out false information...maybe because shes not knowledgeable of all the services that they offee. I asked 2questions so already knew the answer to, and she gave me wrong information. Just TRANSFER me if you are unsure. But something needs to be done, customer service is really ridiculous there. Come on ladies....WE have to do better, seeing that that is the only ethnicity so see employed there. You ladies don't make it hard for us to be stereotyped, so can say that much !!

This is one of the worst locations I've ever dealt with. They NEVER answer the phone. And when they do, they always have an attitude. Don't ask them questions about your benefits. They act like it's a huge problem to look up anything. By far the worst I've had to deal with.

When I walked in I noticed that there was no line. When I got to the recipient office, A man told me to pull a number. After that . 5 minutes later I was able to talk to someone and left there very happy.

I've Been calling my caseworker since May 4th and today is the 17th and she HASN'T returned my call nor has her supervisor!!! I've been left on hold for over 30 minutes and I've been hung up on although ALL my information was turned in WELL before my deadline! And not to mention I'm 7 1/2 months pregnant with my 1st child! These people are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and get paid to be rude and treat us like their better than us because we need help.

Caseworker was pleasant socially but there definitely needs to be positive changes made to the Dept itself. it's called Human Services but treated me as if I'm below them because I'm considered low income. Needs a Human Touch
