DO BUSINESS WITH THEM YOU WILL BE HAPPY!!! Anytime you re having to come out of pocket and are down a car can be stressful. The empathy and awareness of small details make you feel apart of Gwatney s family. We hit a deer and my truck took a bad beating I honestly couldn t imagine it looking the same again. From the moment I spoke with Gwatney Collision Center in Jacksonville I knew I was in good hands. Melissa and Mary look beyond just us as a customer and took into consideration my family needs and wants and what worked best for us and not the company. We live 2 1/2 hours away from this body shop and they still came to us and pick up our car and made sure the times matched because they were aware of our children having school WITHOUT US MENTIONING IT. This shows that they either have grandchildren or are mothers themselves. Either way it goes I felt part of the family. Amy had just came back in from surgery but was handling us as if she did not. Amy is a strong minded woman who works in the body shop who goes above and beyond to make sure you know what step of the process your car is in. Trish is smart and knows A LOT about the business and will not tell you what you want to hear but what is best for you even if they make no money from the deal. She treated us as if we were her own family and she didn t even have to do that. Jeff is the manager and you couldn t even tell he was because he is hands on with every department and treats everyone as if they all hold the same responsibilities. This business is ran how a business should be ran!!! Especially when your going through hard times and may need someone to explain more, be patient and honest with you. They are fast and will not do wrong by you and that is very important! I am blessed to do business with them and I strongly recommend you do so as well. My experience with Gwatney Collision Center was wonderful. I didn't recognize my car. I've been in a rental car for a month but it was worth the wait. My car looks like a new car. I love the work and expertise they put into it.

Poor communications from the person who was responsible for repair update. I had to call for update. Vehicle was delivered to me and I had to leave it at their shop because the repair work was not completed. It took where I had to call another dealership repair shop and relay information for Gwatney to run another diagnostic to find and repair what I told them needed to be repaired. I would not recommend

I just bought a car and it's was the easiest process ever. We knew what we wanted when we made our arrangement to look at the car, we had it in mind what we were willing to accept on our trade in, if they couldn't do it then we had an appointment at another car lit in NLR. They worked with us till we made a deal. We are very happy with are new purchase. It was a truly hassle free. I will start here next time I'm in the market for a vehicle. Thanks Gwetney!

This is the second time I have used Gwatney . The first time they gave me the runaround extending my repair time by weeks. If you wanted any information you had to call and beg somebody to call you back. However,bthe work was good so I gave them another chance. This last time they had my vehicle for an entire week. They did not bother to call me once to let me know that they hadn t even begun work on my vehicle. The manager gave me excuse, after excuse. I ended up taking my vehicle with me without the repairs being completed. I have no idea how USAA can still with a clear conscience recommend this body shop as one of their certified shops.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Nice enough, but my car was kept 3 days more than originally said because their employee did not come in. This delay cost me more in rental fees. It has been 1 month and a week since I left my car, not counting the weekends only working days, we called and no, they call us to tell us something... and they are always delaying; they gave us a date later they changed it and today that they had to give it to me "they said that on Thursday they would call us but it would be to let us know how It won't be to say it's ready, it will be to let you know!!!

My insurance gave me two options of shops to take my wife s vehicle to after it had been damaged by hail from a storm. I chose Gwatney because they are one of the bigger businesses in the area. The work was done but the Insurance rep misquoted us on the damage and told us more parts needed to be replaced. After a couple of weeks it was fixed. But not after being told for three days straight that they were waiting on the windshield to be installed. They also give you a sheet to fill out when you drop your vehicle off. It asks how many times a week would you like to be updated on your vehicles status. Which I put 2 times a week. They did not call me at all during the process. I won t be using them for any other repairs.Services: Painting, Auto glass repair, Body & Trim

Got rear ended over a month ago. Insurance had me get my estimate here. Got the insurance check pretty quick and called gwatney and told them I MIGHTTTT trade my car in instead of getting it repaired. Amy told me to call her to let her know if I was trading it in or getting repairs. I tried to call several times after deciding to get it repaired. She wouldn t answer I left voicemails and she never called back. So I went up there in person (which I shouldn t have had to do in the first place!) and they told me to bring it in for repairs on March 13th. I went in this morning (March 13th) and they had put in their notes that I WAS trading my car in and WAS NOT getting repairs so they didn t have any of my parts or have me on schedule and told me they couldn t get me in until April 4th. Which would be TWO MONTHS after the accident. If you re looking for a body shop that has their stuff together, can repair your vehicle in a timely manner and knows what they re doing, I wouldn t suggest this place!

I will not be taking any more vehicles to Gwatney. We had two vehicles get damaged in a hail storm. My wife's SUV was all paintless dent repair and they did good on that. However, some of the damage on my car was beyond paintless dent repair and needed paint. When I picked it up the paint color was inconsistent and there were visible waves in the body work but I needed the car that day. I took the car and brought it back a week later for the issues to be fixed. They got most, but not all, of the waves out and fixed almost all of the paint. There's one fender that still has inconsistent color in the paint and now the air from the heat/AC vents smells like mildew when using outside air. It did not smell before they worked on the car. The hood was replaced and I suspect it was parked outside in the rain with the hood off, allowing water to get into the heat/AC intake vents. So now my less than 5 y/o vehicle has subpar body work and paint and vents that smell like mildew. Never going back and do not recommend.Edit: Also, like others, I checked the box to be contacted at least once a week about the status of my vehicle. I never received a call from Gwatney about either of our vehicles unless I called first. The only exceptions were when they called to tell me it was done.Update 9/8/2022:The mildew smell in the vents seems to have gone away after a few days of driving. However, I found another area that wasn't properly painted and brought it back a third time. I spoke with a manager named Jeff who assured me they would fix it and top off my gas tank for the trouble I'd gone through. I picked it back up yesterday evening and they clearly did some work on the area because it looks better but it's still not right. It's close enough that it's not worth dealing with Gwatney anymore. Gas tank was not topped off.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Be prepared to take awhile. The hail storms require estimates to be scheduled as well. Great crew! Did a great job for us before. It's why we came back when we needed another collision repair.

My passenger side window and passenger trunk glass got broken by flying debris (and dings and chips to the paint were to be repaired as well...I don't know if they did that or not at this time). Took my car in for an estimate 4/27/22; I could not drop my car off for repairs until 6/13/2022. Repairs were supposed to take a week. Two weeks later I got a call my car would be ready the next day, but they didn't have a pick-up time. The day I was supposed to pick my car up, they finally called at the end of the day and said it still was not ready that there was an issue with the glass. Here it is over two weeks and my car is still not ready. The glass for the passenger side they ordered was two inches too short....TWO INCHES!!!!! Now the new glass won't be in until Thursday, 6/30/22...which will be going on 3 weeks since I dropped it off. The estimate was in April, it will be July next week and I still don't have my car repaired. I've used them twice before and NEVER had this much trouble. I don't know what has happened in the past two years since I last used them, but NEVER AGAIN!! This has been the most stressful and ridiculous mess I've ever had to endure. Do not use Gwatney Collision.Service: Auto glass repair

Whoever replaced my front bumper clearly tightened it all the way on one side, it bowed, snapped the part that holds it together on the other side, gave it to me sticking out, and now since i didn t have time in the month after they knowingly gave it to me improperly fixed , my bumper fell off. This is the second time they have not put a bumper on this toyota Corolla correctly. I will NEVER take my car here again.Service: Body & Trim

Did not get my car back on time. Had scratches on the new bumper they installed. I was rear ended in October. Kept pushing me back until it was actually end of June before they fixed my car. They did an excellent job on repairing my Chevy Colorado after a large truck hit it. It looks like new! They were fast and kept me abreast of everything through the entire process. If I ever need body work done again I will absolutely use them.

I had what I thought was a finder bender and took my car to Gwatney Collision. The person doing the estimate went out took a short look and turned away then I said she should look deeper because there might be deeper damage. She informed me that she was experienced and there was no need. When I took my car in they found a lot more and said the bill would be much higher. The insurance co. got involved again. The new estimate by Gwatney showed the same parts with much higher prices for the same parts. It is my opinion that it is a plot to get people in and then charge more. That same day I had to take the car back in because the bumper was not installed properly and the inside of the trunk still had a bulge in it. Bad experience

I had a pretty bad car accident last Friday. They got my vehicle late Friday night. That didn t matter, by Monday night they had it taken apart and had an estimate for my insurance. When I called today to make sure I didn t need to do anything Nicole was super patient. She pulled up all the details, explained what needed fixed and had already ordered the parts. She gave a clear timeline and some things that could slow down the car accident repair. I felt total peace knowing she would make sure my Jeep was fixed, safe, and ready for me.
