Wife and I (+1 fishin pup) rented a boat this morning for 4 hours using the online rental platform (very easy to navigate through and complete our reservation). The gentlemen at the docks were fantastic!!Very helpful and informative! The river in the early morning fog was beautiful, the fishing was great and on return to our slip we were met coming in and guided into the slip by another nice staff member.Highly recommend these folks !!Very polite.Very professional. We had a blast!!

We read about the Red River Trout Dock on Facebook and decided to rent one of their fishing boats and spend some time on the river. The dock is under new ownership and the service was PHENOMENAL! We were met with friendly faces, they had a well stocked store for all our fishing needs, and provided all the instruction/advice needed for a successful fishing trip! And the best part ..when we got back with our day s catch, we got to sit back and relax on their beautiful dock in their comfy seating while their deckhand cleaned them and presented us with a bag of filleted fish! We cannot wait for our next visit and highly recommend you pay them a visit!!

Had a great time catching rainbow trout from the boat we rented. Everyone there was extremely helpful by giving us fishing tips, helping dock the boat, cleaning the fish, and just friendly conversation. Will definitely be back!!!

Had a great time here! The cabins were quite dated for the money. No Wifi, yet. They claim it's coming summer of 2017. It was a cozy sleep place though. Decent location. The staff was extremely helpful though. We probably won't stay here again unless they update these cabins. They would do far better, in my opinion, if they were updated. Also pet friendly here, which is the only reason we stayed here.

The cabins are perfect for a fishing trip. Very fairly priced and everything you could need is provided. There's cookware, glassware, silverware, etc. and a fully functional kitchen. The staff has always been the same few guys and I couldn't be happier with their service. They're very amicable and knowledgeable. I hired a guide as I am not able to get down to the Little Red River very often, and Caleb was the perfect guy for that job. I had a lot of fun fishing with him all day, learned a ton of things about the area and how to catch the monster brown trout that had previously eluded me. If you are serious about catching fish, I would highly recommend this resort and I would suggest hiring one of their guides. My first experience here was so positive that I've been back three times now and have no intention of ever going elsewhere.

My family and I, 6 all together, spent 2 full days and nights and we had a wonderful time. The room was big, bed rooms were big, full kitchen set up, kitchen table with 6 chairs, nice full porch we sat on during a little rain, grills supplied, and the staff was very friendly and well educated on the river and fishing. Wonderful location, close to anything needed or wanted within a few minutes driving time. While this is not a luxury place by any means, (it has a few years on it) we found that it served our purpose. There is not a pool, restaurant or play ground, but for a good clean place to stay that is quiet and wonderful to fish, you won't find a better spot. The only complaint we had were the beds were pretty hard. We had our 5 year old grand daughter with us (who loves to fish) and she had a blast. Thank you Jim and your family for helping my family make new and wonderful memories to last all our lives!

Took wife and 4 kid's there last weekend. Had a great 4 days. The staff was the most friendly people ever. They made the experience great. Lane helped my kids fish and taught us how to fillet fish. My boys caught many awsome trout. They loved it. The cabin was roomy and fresh towels delivered daily. Thanks guys

the guide was a nice guy. The cabins were not secure as some of the windows had no locks and the curtains were see through ragged and dirty. I spoke with them several times before going and was told the fishing was great. I got there and found that river was bank to bank covered in moss. The guide took us to the same spot both days and the spot was about 40X60 feet and the fishing was terribly slow. I ended up paying $800+ for 10 mediocre trout and cabin rentals. If they had been honest about the river conditions and fish quality, I would never have gone there. A waste of time and money.

The place was filthy and the towels smelled like vomit. There was lots of debris on the floor from the prior tenants. There is no broom or vacuum available. The housekeeping was Way below par. Do not waste your money. Find another place to stay. We have been told you the price would be $125 a night. When we checked out they added eight dollars for each additional person beyond on the first two. Now the cabin had enough beds to sleep 8 to 10 people. None of that was explained in advance . Another interesting thing is you cannot rate and review the business on their website for obvious reasons. I encourage everyone to find a different place to stay on this absolutely beautiful river.

My family and I have been stayed at the Red River Trout Dock several times over the last 15+ years when visiting family in Heber Springs. It is always a wonderful experience. The cabins and clean and quaint. Wonderful staff, serene setting, and great trout fishing! Keeps us coming back over the years!

First trip was almost thirty years ago. Never disappointed. Always pleased with the service and all aspects of the trip. Been there in the middle of the July heat and caught a 4 pound brown on Valentine Day 2003 in the sleet! I don't get to go as often as I want, but when I do I always leave with a smile. Hmmmm checking for my next free weekend...

Absolutely beautiful place to fish! Still blown away by how cold the water is even in the midst of summer. One thing to know though, this is a dry county so if you want any beer or liquor pick it up well before you get near here.

Dead coachroach on the floor! Curtains dont even cover all the windows so everyone can see in. Floors are filthy!!! Out dated cabins. Pillow cases are old and stained. Couch is old. Needs to be redone from the bottom up. Honest opinion for the money 20 extra bucks i could of had a cabin with fireplace and up to date without being scared to touch anything. Dissapointed!!!

Plenty of boats to rent, tackle, rods and reels, live and artificial bait, friendly owners and family run business. Good advice on fishing the river. If you're lucky, there will be a tip worthy young man there to clean your fish.
