Ordered a cooling unit. Installed it and it worked internally. Called, left message. Will not return calls. Complete junk! Buyer beware!!

I ordered two smaller cooling units from them earlier in the year that were shipped UPS/FED EX. Cores shipped back no problem.I ordered a cooling unit for a RM1350. The website said truck shipping would be $225. I called and placed the order. The guy called back later and said the freight was going to be $273 now. He said he would give me a discount on the next cooling unit I got from him since the freight ended up higher. Fine, send it. I was installing it and there were 3 holes in the freezer section and 1 hole in the refrigerator section that were missing due to broken off screws I assume. I had to find some long self drilling screws to make it work. I called them and he said it wasn't their fault because it was that way from the refrigerator manufacturer. BS. I have installed over 50 cooling units in the last several years and have never had this problem with other places cooling units. Then I called them to return the core and left a message. No response. I called back after another couple of weeks and he said he would talk to some other guy about setting up the core return via truck. No response. I called back again because there are stickers on the cooling unit saying "no warranty if the core isn't returned within 30 days." He finally tells me that it costs too much to return the core from Idaho so I need to discard it. It's obvious it doesn't cost $273 to ship a cooling unit one way from Arkansas to Idaho. So the return shipping is figured in that price. So I got ripped off on the freight charges. I told him the local landfill charges $30 to dump a refrigerated unit. He wouldn't do anything about it. Then he got irritated because I wouldn't back down and told me to go whine somewhere else about the $30. Obviously I will go elsewhere for my cooling units from now on. I sure wish my local cooling unit rebuilder hadn't retired.

Very unprofessional interaction. We attempted to return a core, using the postage they provided, and it got returned to us 3 times. When we initially reached out for feedback on what to do next, they were very helpful, stating they would send for a FedEx pick up. After a few days of hearing nothing, I reached out to him again, and this is what he said" Look. We get a couple hundred back each month no problem. I don't know what your ups drivers problem is. But messaging every day isn't going to help. I'm one person in the office right now and we just switched to FedEx and I haven't had time to sit down and do a FedEx call tag. If you want to toss it in the dumpster then by all means please do so. It's not worth all the back and forth over a core return. You got a good unit and a very good price. Just be happy." We are a business as well, and this is absolutely unprofessional.

Excellent experience overall. A few years ago, I would have installed the unit myself, but age and health have made that unwise. I called and made an appointment to have my Dometic RM2862 cooling unit replaced in my 5th wheel. When I arrived, Wick and his employees were friendly and informative and began work almost immediately. They were careful to protect the interior of my rig from dirt and damage. They did a thorough function check and leak check after installation. As a retired mechanical engineer with some experience in ammonia refrigeration systems, I was impressed with Wick's technical expertise and his approach to rebuilding and testing the units. I do not hesitate to recommend him.

Used this business to purchase a refurbished cooling unit for my Dometic Rv refrigerator. Unfortunately It only lasted for one season. The failure was due to a complete loss of charge. When I contacted Wick to see if he would stand by his work, he was unprofessional and used profanity. His attitude is as poor as his workmanship. Buyer beware!!

Wick his son Tanner and the whole crew were very polite and professional. They installed one of their cooling units in my Norcold 1200 that seems far superior to the original factory unit. He even went to the trouble of adding a cooling fan in the top of my slide out to increase air flow. Wick showed me around and explained the whole manufacturing and testing process. I have an extensive welding and fabrication background and know that he is building quality units with better materials and proper welding procedures. Great bunch of guys.

Worst company I've ever dealt with, I would have given 0 stars if I could, since ONE star is too generous! Most who have reviewed RVCOOL only picked up their unit there, where I'm out of state so customer service was a priority when I selected ordering with them. I repeatedly tried to ask their representative about the cooling unit received, but they refused to deal with my questions. In addition, they offered nothing by way of apology for their actions. Care should've been used with wording in their site, I having a good general knowledge of plumbing, heating/cooling, welding & can see right out of the box how mislead I was! I would've been happier if they would've told the truth up front, just say "we try to save you $$ by cutting the corners we feel the least noticable to the average customer." I would've at least respected their honesty, instead of the wasted $$ & bitter taste this experience has left me with.

These people are awesome .I recently ordered a new cooling unit for my 20 year old rm 2652 dometic fridge/freezer.The staff here is friendly and knowledgeable, and guys even the ladies here know their stuff about rv cooling units.I was able to easily install my new unit after watching wick's video of the step by step process.Everything i needed was provided with my new unit.My new unit cools twice as fast as my old one. My freezer was 20 degrees in just 3 hours. We recently went camping and ran the fridge for 4 days straight NO PROBLEMS.I'm so happy i didn't have to spend $1500 bucks on a new refrigerator. Thanks RVCOOL.I will do business here in the future

The worst experience! Where do I start. My original review was removed. If this review gets removed I will purchase a domain name and post pictures and get other unsatisfied customers to post their issues as well. Before I purchased a refurbished cooling unitI for my RV refrigerator I looked at RV Cool's website then talked to the owner. He explained to me as did his website about what I would be getting. He advertised and verbally told me that the boiler section which includes the outer boiler tubing and inner percolator tube which is what gets clogged gets cut out and replaced with new heavier walled .083" tubing. Package arrived and was well packed. Within seconds it was evident that the foam insulation that was molded over the evaporator coils was over filled. Because of this a tight leak proof seal cannot be achieved between the foil faced cardboard on the back of the unit and the refrigerator itself. As I looked a little closers I noticed that there was rust that was painted over on the refurbished and supposedly new tubing..I contacted owner via email and was not answered until after a week by another employee. Finally the owner responded to me via email and was very rude. He told me basically that he does the best for the money spent but in the most attacking and belittling way. No one else can do better!A week went by then it dawned on me that if tubing was cut out and replaced that there would be three weld joints visible, one on each end of the boiler tubing and one visible on the percolator tube before it enters the boiler tubing. Only one weld joint was visible. It appears as if the boiler tubing was cut once so that the blocked percolator tube within the boiler tube was unblocked probably by jamming a rod down the tube and breaking up the obstruction, then welding back the one cut joint. I'm not even sure if he cleaned, drained, and refilled the ammonia solution with new stuff? Then I measured with micrometers the wall thickness of the supposedly replaced boiler tubing. It was only .62". The same as the original. I contacted Wick again in a polite and non attacking way. He explained that I didn't know what I was talking about and that on my model it isn't nessecary to replace any tubing due to the small refrigerator size. He then decided to try and school me on technical refrigeration stuff for several minutes in a very attacking way. I agree in concept with him but that is not what I was promised, advertised, or paid for. I asked for a refund and my original cooling unit I sent to him for a core. He was unwilling to do so.I then decided to have non destructive testing on the unit to determine wall thickness. When I mentioned this to Wick he completely flipped out. The results show that the tubing wasn't replaced as promised which is straight out fraud!A few other things I'd like to point out. I have 10 years ecperience as an installer in the HVAC & refrigeration business. I have worked the last 10 years as an engineer in the areospace coatings industry. The address RV Cool uses for their business does not appear to be visable via satellite. Interesting that all the reviews are either ones or fives. If you scour the intetnet you will see Wick bad mouthing his competitors. A pro would never do this. The paint that was used was very low quality paint. It burned off the bottom of the boiler tube after testing the unit once. High temperature paint should have been used. I tested the unit a few times in my basement and the paint that was used not only burns off and doesn't protect the metal from corrosion but also smells awful. The cooling unit and my refrigerator are still in my basement after over a year of purchasing as I would not install and risk my families safety. If you buy a refurbished cooling unit, look for a company that explains their entire refurbishing process in detail. The unit should be sand blasted, cleaned, tested, and coated with high quality paint. One company I see offers galvanized refurbished units.7/19 Unit no longer cools properly.

From a couple of negative reviews on here, I can say with 100% knowledge that RVCOOL is a TOP NOTCH business, and Wick knows his work!! He & his crew were exceptionally friendly, and what you don't know about the coils he builds, he will inform you of things you probably don't know. I found it exceptionally informative, learned a lot from the short time I met him yesterday. Things you need to know about your RV refrigerator.Mine went out and found his site, called and ordered a new coil. The day it was shipped, I received it the very next day. In Arkansas, you'll probably get it as well. Shipping costs and core returns, you will not bear the price! After receiving,g the coil, my helper and I watched the video on how to replace it yourself, needs 2 people. My helper is good at a lot of things, but I could see he was a little doubtful if we could do it professionally. So I decided to call Wick and see if they would do it for me. Price was way fair to me, so told them I'd bring it the next day, they said come on! We had already pulled the unit from my RV and loaded into my van, and away I went the next morning for a nearly 3 hr drive. When I got there, they unloaded it, and went right to work on it. They removed & replaced the coils in under 2 hrs. Brought it back, put in trailer last night, got up this morning to a cold fridge again! I cannot thank them enough from my VERY POSITIVE experience with them, and knowledge they instilled on me! Very great people!!To you naysayers on here, all I can say is YOU need to get a life!!I highly recommend RVCOOL!!

When my Dometic model RM7732 cooling unit failed I called this company and scheduled an appointment. I drove over the night before, boondocked in there lot. At 900 am Wick and his crew started the job, At 200 pm I was on my way with my problem fixed. 24 hours later my refrigerator has never been this cold. If you have a cooling unit issue, I highly recommend this company.

Wick, the owner, has a bad attitude. Very rude when questioned about the quality of the cooling units he builds. Got to the point where he was actually yelling. Take some pills dude! Seemed nice on the phone but very shady character in person. Check out RV Fridge House in Plumerville.....they fixed me right up and had great customer service.

I am Wick the owner of RVCOOL. I usually don't bother with customer reviews but a couple recent reviews have got under my skin. I have dedicated 23 years of my life to the RV Refrigeration business and in that time I have served over 40,000 customers and have an A+ rating with the BBB. My wife and I started this business when I was 21 and she was 18. We had nothing but a handful of tools I got at a yard sale. We literally built this business from nothing. Today we have a 15,000sqft facility where we mfg 2500 cooling units a year. But it really burns me when people like A K Stray leave comments like he did recommending a place like RV Fridge house who the State of Arkansas is trying to shut down because of over 300 complaints filed against them. (Makes me wonder if it wasn't a setup from the beginning) He didn't tell about how incredibly rude he was when he came into my business or that he showed up without a reservation but we dropped everything to try and help him. From the moment he showed up he was rude but I tried to be the better guy and show him around. I showed him our testing facility and our galvanizing process and how we design our state of the art boiler. He had a rude comment for everything I showed him. I finally got to the point that I told him I wasn't going to sell him a unit or drop everything I am doing to go out to his camper and install it if nothing was going to please him. He continued to be rude so I asked him to leave. The absolute first time in my career that I refused service to someone. Then he drives down to turn around but drives through my neighbors yard rather than backing up. Since it had been raining he left ruts 100ft long through her yard. The fact is I love helping good people. I love the cooling unit business that I have spent my whole life making better. We are a family business with my wife of 25 years running the office and my son, who grew up in the business, runs the manufacturing facilities day to day operations. It's a shame more of the good people we work with every day don't leave reviews. I would love to make everyone happy but one thing I have learned is that in this day and time it is absolutely impossible. LAST YEAR WE SHIPPED OVER 2500 cooling units we had 10 great reviews and 4 negative reviews 0 BBB complaints. And of those negative reviews, one customer Larry Bean was trying to leave a review for our competitor but left it on our page by mistake, he even names them by name. So keep those number in context. If you have never been in business for yourself you have no idea the attitudes of some of the people we have to deal with every day. It wasn't like that 23 years ago when we started this business. Most of the people we deal with are quite amazing and a great pleasure to work with. A really small percentage though earned the treatment they got. Like when Stacey apologized to G Android that there was a delay in his shipment due a death in the family. Then he cursed her for several minutes and the next day leaves a negative review. Absolutely uncalled for and he was unable to be reasoned with. My family comes before any cooling unit sale. We had 40 other customers that week that were also delayed. Everyone was very understanding and supportive except for the one that cursed us and left a negative review. We pride ourselves on the years of success we have had in this business. We look forward to helping people every day. So many weekends and after hours we answer the phone because we know someone needs tech support. Many nights we work late and drive units to the ups hub late in the evening so someone gets their unit on time to take their family on a camping trip.. ...but at the same time we aren't going to be walked on either. If you are belligerent to my wife or kids or me, you probably aren't going to like my response, then you also shouldn't be leaving negative reviews either. There is no reason to be rude. If there is a problem we are going to everything we can to fix it. That's what we do. That's why we have an A+ rating with the BBB after all these years.

This company does NOT pay return shipping every though you pay him up front. He lied to me for over a year that he would take care of the billing error with UPS. Instead my account went to Collections. Guess what....Collection agency says he does this all the time so the customer will have to pay it to clear your name to avoid credit penalty. His word means NOTHING....

I purchased a remanufactured cooling unit from RV Cool for a Dometic RM2601. They were very professional throughout the entire process. The unit arrived UPS from Arkansas to Utah on the exact day schedule. The thirty year old fridge works as good as new. Thanks RV COOL

Had a very productive experience with RVCool. I have an older Dometic refer in and older RV which had the cooling coil began leaking loosing the system ammonia. I set up an appointment for a week in the future for it's repair and they were ready at the appointed time per our telecon. Turns out Dometic substituted a newer coil when manufactuing the refer but RVCool had a compatible coil in stock which they used in the repair, never missing a beat. The rates for the work were reasonable, the work was done in a timely and workmanship manner and I am a happy customer. I highly recommend RVCool.

Great experience with this company. Unit arrived quickly. Larger tubing for boiler was obvious. Utube video by rvcool on install a must! Electric knife handy to trim foam on unit when trial fitting. Fridge has been the coldest it's ever been. Thermastic sealant included,in a squeeze tube so no cauking gun needed. Window foam and foil tape made job easier. Very pleased with this company, read reviews of others beforehand and you'll see.Note: insure depth of foam trimming for freezer bolts. Had to trim a little with electric knife to get unit down enough to mate with back. Also, I placed a 12v wire in the cavity and added an inside fan to the fins and a stick- on switch . Watch the video!!

Zero stars would be more appropriate. The customer service/ technician says he has 27 years of experience, but should not be talking to people on the phone representing his company. He used many (Many) expletives and has a huge ego that does not serve him, nor him company well. When I asked him his name, he said that it is none of my F* business. I called back a few times, just to try to get to someone at his company who does care about the business, or future business, and he hung up on me each time.I realize that this company does not offer the cooling unit that I was looking for, but he gave me a poor excuse why (service nightmare - all cooling units can be a service nightmare) and I called him on it, that is what made him so mad.I recorded the last conversation that I had with him if the manager or owner of the company would like to hear it.

The previous reviewer, Larry Bean, is NOT a customer of RVCOOL, he is a customer of RV Fridge Store. He has confused the two companies. Greg Rogers is the owner of RV Fridge Store, which, unfortunately for us, is in the same business and located in the same town, which is how the mistake was made. A simple google search of RV Fridge Store will show that Greg Rogers is with that company and NOT RVCOOL. Larry Bean needs to be more careful about who he is bashing online, as this could be very detrimental to our business. We welcome calls from anyone who would like to be certain that RVCOOL is most definitely a reputable company with an outstanding product and we will stand behind what we sell.

Purchased a cooling unit for my rv fridge from this company. picked it up, brought it home and started my install of the cooling unit. all was great until I was putting a screw in where the burner mounts. stupid me did not pay attention to how close the screw hole was to the tubing under the screw hole ?..sure enough, I put the screw all the way into the coolant tubing, what a mess !..lol. anyway, I called rvcool back to ask them if they could fix it ?..they said sure, bring it back to them, and they would fix it. I explained to them I had no more money on hand, as I am on a limited income per month. they really under stood how I am cash wise..and told me they would fix the coolant unit for NO CHARGE !!. WHERE CAN YOU FIND A HONEST COMPANY LIKE THIS ??!!. I was blown away as to how far they went out of their way to help me on this problem !, it was clearly my fault on busting the coolant tubing, yet..they would step up to the plate, and help me get this problem fixed...AND AT NO CHARGE ON TOP OF THIS !!!. sooooooo..I say..if you want a cooling unit for your rv fridge ?..THESE ARE THE PEOPLE TO GO TOO !..YOU SIMPLY WILL NOT FIND A BETTER COMPANY ANYWHERE IN ARKANSAS TO GET THE JOB DONE !. they went above and beyond to help me out, what more can I say about RVCOOL !..GREAT COMPANY TO WORK WITH!!.

This company is as far from reputable as it gets..my shop bought 4 cooling units over 6 to 8 weeks none of them worked right we are still sorting out the first one, the 2nd worked for a week before loosing its charge from a bad weld, the 3rd one showed up blown up in the box which cost us a job and the last one they gave me a runaround for a while then went silent, I finally had to stand behind my work so I bought from another company installed and it works perfect now, spoke with wick he had a meltdown and refused to refund me now here we stand.
