Very nice. Reasonable pricing, Very competent. I asked at two different auto parts stores in town, and they both said that he is a very good mechanic. Would highly recommend.

Driving through Ft. Smith to take my son to college, his truck broke down on the interstate. Being 7 hours from home and 7 hours to my son s school, we knew no one who could recommend a good mechanic. Roadside assistance tow truck driver recommended Hector s. We thought the truck would be in good hands, so we rented a car and finished the trip to my son s school. After flying back home, I tried to contact Hector repeatedly. We could not get him to answer the phone many times we called. His voicemail box was always full and we could not even leave messages. When we did get in touch with him, he would always tell us there was a lot of work he would have to do and he could never get us an estimate of cost or timeline of completion. After calling Hector regularly for 6 weeks, we finally decided to contact other mechanics in the area. All the mechanics we called were able to give us estimates over the phone or would call us back with estimates. We had one of those mechanics tow the truck from Hector to their shop. No work had ever begun on the truck in the 6 weeks Hector had it.If you need good communication with your mechanic, do not call Hector.If you need your vehicle back in a timely manner, do not call Hector.He may be a good mechanic, but sadly, we cannot verify that. He seemed polite on the times I did get to talk to him, but was just not able to provide us the service we needed.

Can't say enough good things about him. Been going to Hector for years and have taken several vehicles to him. He's always been straight with me and will even work when others won't.

Can't hardly understand him. He barely speaks english Took things from my car. Said it would be ready same day kept my car for four days. No price menu he just tells you a price after the work. Don't go here!!

I will give it 0 stars. This man definitely doesn't have respect for anyone. I took my car to get my ball joints changed, and he told me he would charge me $100 to change the upper and lower for both sides, but that I would have to buy the parts. I thought it was a good deal, so I went and bought the parts. It cost me $120 for just the ball joints for my car, so I took them to him and left the car there. Once the car was ready, I went to pick it up and asked to see the old parts. He only showed me 2 ball joints, and I never thought about it. Two days later, my car was squeaking, so I took it back. He then told me he only changed 2 ball joints. I asked him why since I paid him to change all 4 like he told me. He then said he wasn't sure if all 4 were changed. I asked him to check for me, and he screamed at me and told me to come back in 2 days because he didn't have time.I left and never went back. I took my car to a REAL mechanic and came to find out only 2 out of the 4 were changed. So, that being said, I bought 4 ball joints which cost me $120, paid this man $100 to replace all 4 like he told me he would do, and I ended up getting ripped off. I overpaid him, he stole 2 brand new ball joints, and only changed 2 out of the 4. He is a total rip off. I wonder how many people he does this to; overcharges them and maybe lies about the stuff he replaces. He might not even replace the stuff that needs to be replaced but just charges you for it. He needs to be taken to court and have that business shut down since he doesn't charge or pay taxes for service. So, you can't even get a receipt unless you pay taxes; that's when he will give you one

Our AC went out while traveling through Fort Smith on a road trip in 98 degree heat. Hector s was so kind to fit us in fast. They found the problem right away, were able to fix it, and had us back on the road with cold air in about an hour! The price was reasonable too. Really appreciate them. Hector is absolutely wonderful, if you don't have a good mechanic Hector is one you can rely on. He will fix your vehicle correctly and at a reasonable price he doesn't try to make it a million on everyone. I recommend Hector to everyone that looking for a mechanic he's honest he's good.

We were driving across country and with 900 miles to go we heard that scary brake pad on rotor sound. Everybody in town said they'd be able to get to it in a week but Hector's mechanic said he could get it done and have us on our way within the hour. He conferred with Hector, the owner, who agreed. Hector could have charged us the crazy rates the other's had quoted starting at $200 as we were definitely in need and had no position to bargain. I was stunned when he said $35 and even more amazed when his mechanic finished in 30 minutes. I do all of my own brake jobs as I don't trust anybody and the prices are crazy but if I lived in Fort Smith I'd have Hector do it every time. Tonight I write this from my home and I thank Hector and his mechanic for doing great work at an extremely fair price.Service: Brakes

Decent price, but the price changed and when I went in a couple days later I overheard him talking about selling my car and I guess he let people look at it. It seems any time I take my car there, I m back within a month or two with something very closely related to the original problem. Took my car to another shop and had much better results. A little more expensive but the price stayed the same and I had no further problems. They also gave me the WHOLE list of things that are soon to needing replaced where as Hector will tell you a couple things and then tell you a couple more when you pick up the car. He s just very obviously trying to skim extra money wherever he can. I had my brake pads changed and without calling me he bought new pads(I already took some in) and charged me for them. Oh my God don't take your car there he lies and say he put this and that on in all reality he just tighten up a loose nut and charge you .He never fix the problem he guess it might be this it might be that .Please stay away from that place.

I started taking my car here after a buddy of mine who works on dragsters told me about it. My first experience I brought my car in after pulling a part from a junkyard nearby, thinking that would make it cheaper. Hector swapped the parts and found another one for the other side for a little more than it costed me just to pull the part! It would have been cheaper to just go to him and avoid the junkyard altogether. I was shocked.Since then, I've used Hector 3 other times and it's always been quick, affordable service. Hector is a really good guy from my experiences. The only issue I've ran into is having to wait a day or two before bringing it in because they are so busy sometimes.

Best service ever! Fair price! But make sure it's Hector, one of his employees reset my turbos on my miayta then my engine blew consequence? Maybe but didn't have any engine rrouble before it was a new clutch it works great but still waiting on my car to be fixed elsewhere.

I have been going to Hector for almost 20 years before he had the shop he has now. I'm a woman and I have always went by myself to get my car fixed. He has always been honest,nice, great customer service. I dont take my car to anyone else. Thank u for the great work u do for me.

Go to Hector if you want new things wrong with your car when you get it back! He has inexperienced people work on cars to learn, is extremely unprofessional. EVERY time I get my car back from this place something new is wrong or the problem I had is worse! Replacing the brakes should be simple! But they're falling off a week later! Ruining my alignment and everything. Before too long he's gonna have to deal with some lawsuits. This has been going on for too long. Worst mechanic shop I've ever been to in my life. I don't even want to take it back to get something done for free because he'll mess something else up. Don't go there if you actually want your car fixed.

My car broke a serpentine belt on the interstate, I called an auto parts store and they had the part but did not do repairs. I found Hector via the internet, he came towed me and did the repair I was done in a little over 2 hours. Worked perfectly and the price was very reasonable. Thanks Hector for the great job.

Yes, it's cheap. But that's it. Terrible service. Was told our vehicle was fixed, took a cab over, (we were stranded in town from out of state) when we got there our vehicle stalled in the parking lot. So they replaced a different sensor. They got it running but barely. The son informed us that that was best they can do and sent us on our way. I wouldn't trust them to work on my bicycle.

Went in for an alignment as my car was severely misaligned with the steering wheel to one side. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Good work for cheap. Excellent service.

Honest mechanic. He has been my mechanic for 10 yrs and I had never had an issue with him. Being a woman and not knowing much about cars many mechanics take advantage of the situation. Not him. He is very straight forward about what's wrong with the car and what he will do to fix it. Very reasonable prices. Great man.

Great service for the best prices in Fort Smith! I have gone here for over 10 years and never had one problem. Hector is the best mechanic for diagnosing what's wrong with a vehicle that I have ever dealt with.

What can I say... Hector is the best hands down. This man takes his business and supercharges it. Always lower than local shops. Tires. Labor. Maintenance and oil changes. He stays busy that's for sure.

From Minn. Car wont start. Hectors towed it, fixed it. Came out $55 cheaper then quoted over phone. Fuel pumpp broken. Fixed in 2 days. No B.S. No lies.9 No crazy charges. Ill return to him.UPDATE: Hectors fixed the wrong thing. Has had car back a week. Don't know anything yet now.UPDATE #2: car really is fixed now. Fuel pump relay, no extra charges.

Heard good things about this place. Last visit 6 yrs ago had terrible experience. Repairs wher costly due to failed lubrication after a simple brake change. Decided to give them another shot, called 3 times and no answer

No longer a customer because I was told, and charged, for things that weren't fixed.. I went to him for the past couple years and not sure if this is the 1st time it has happened.. Nice guy, Cheap prices ( which is good if that's what you need), just kinda sketchy work I think he may just be over loaded but I'll be choosing better quality work from now on

Not pleased when a family member took car for repair & car caught on fire while being worked on. Burned complete interior, broke windshield, car was total loss & was offered $500 for damages, then they kept the car.
