A response to the owners response: The fact that you chose to take a personal jab and comment on my character says much more about your business than any one star review any customer could give. So, kudos for that. Another reviewer here commented about upcharge. That's actually a more accurate representation of what was happening that day. In fact, I should've noted the red flags when I walked in for my scheduled appointment at 9am, and witnessed an employee arguing with another customer about essentially the same thing that happened to me. You guys didn't spend nearly as much time checking my car as your response would lead someone to believe. To clarify for other readers, I was told it would take an hour, maybe 2, to diagnose. By the time noon rolled around (3 hours in your possession), I still hadn't heard anything. So I called. Turns out everyone went to lunch and no one had even looked at my car yet. I waited another hour and a half before calling again (5.5 hours in your possession), only this time, no answer. That's when I went to go check on my car. To my surprise, it's parked in a lot across the street. I was then quoted at least another $200 just to diagnose it further. If you had started on my car when I dropped it off, you could've had enough time to diagnose it properly. It's hard to put into words the type of interaction that followed, suffice it to say it wasn't the first time I'd had an experience like that. Ever been to get an oil change, then all the sudden you need brakes, an air filter, new wiper blades, and tires? Like that. I just wanted a more accurate depiction of what a simple diagnostic was gonna cost me. You couldn't provide one. You ironically chose to compare the diagnostic to a doctor's visit. Similarly, doctor's and hospitals also hide behind exorbitant prices and seem to be clueless when you ask what those charges are. I already know that had I let you guys take full reign of the situation, I'd have ended up with labor charges that far exceeded what any honest mechanic would charge. These details aside, fact is I still got charged $100 for nothing. Better than $1000 though I suppose.Original: They had my car ALL DAY, checked "fuses and other external components" aka ran a code reader, failed to diagnose the problem and STILL charged me $100. I paid for literally nothing. An AutoZone employee could've done what they did and in a fraction of the time...for free. Don't recommend.

I had my Ford Edge repaired at Murders Automotive, a local family owned business. I called Amy and asked if they could look at my car on a Thursday afternoon and she said yes bring your car to the shop. I received an estimate fairly quickly and my car had three to four things that needed repaired. Amy always kept in contact with me about the arrival of my parts and when I could bring my car in for the repairs. Murders Automotive are professional in all that they do and did a fabulous job on my Edge! I have my car back the way it used to be.. smooth and amazing! I can't say enough great things about Eric, Amy and all of the staff! Thank you!!!

I was stranded in clarksville due to a blown spark plug in my van. I called about 10 mechanics and no one could help me for days or weeks. Then I got to Murders on my call list. The reception lady was so friendly and helpful. They got me in when no one else could, spent 3 hours fixing my van and allowed me to get out before noon so I wouldn't have to pay for another night in a hotel. The mechanic was also very nice and explained things to me very well. The pricing was also very reasonable. Thank you all so much. The name may seem intimidating but let me say!!!! We sent our son to college with no air conditioning because we decided to jack it up right before the 6 hour ride! Man it was hot and windows all open the entire time! We went to a different auto place but they didn't have the time....so they referred us to... Murders it was! Showing up last min they were able to fix our AC so we could go home with air conditioning!!! Thank you Murders! Especially when all automotive close around 5pm on a Friday all WEEKEND!!! Alrighty Arkansas!!! Great place and great service!!!! PLUS...GREAT PRICE $$$$

Car died late at night due to an electrical issue. They couldn't reproduce the problem (neither could a prior mechanic) but their charges were very reasonable

Alternator issue.I am delighted to leave this positive review for Murders Automotive! I met the people of Murders summer of 2022. I still think back on my experience, and remember the excellent service.Friendly, trustworthy local family owned business. Mechanics are skilled & competent. I believe they can repair your vehicle no matter what make & model. So, if you need assistance while traveling I 40 near exit 57 or anywhere in the City of Clarksville area. Don't worry. You are fortunate to be near Murders Automotive!From start to finish this garage provided top notch service at a reasonable price!Thanks Amy & Staff.

We had a terrible oil leak and were unsure how much the repairs would be. At Murders we found excellent customer service and repairs were affordable and they even aired up our tires and changed the sensors on the tires. We have another car that needs tuned up, plan to pay them another visit they were so nice to me came to my job and picked up my vehicle. I am so pleased with Murders Automotive. Well be making an appointment for our second car.Service: Engine repair

This was about the 1000 mile mark on a 1500 mile road trip from CO to AL. We had already run out of gas in OK. The car was loosing power so we caught the exit and barely made it to Murders parking lot. I also was feeling under the weather. Although they were booked up they understood we were in a dire situation. They diagnosed the problem and had us back on the road in about 1.5 hrs. Thank you sooooo much! There are not enough words to say how kind and accommodating the team at Murders is. We rolled off the interstate from a three week trip on our way home into this shop. They did everything possible to get us back home as quickly as they could, helping us make phone calls and providing recommendations. We spent a few hours in the shop while trying to make plans for our family and every customer that walked in was treated so kindly. I had leaking of brake fluid around my rear brakes and clanking noise coming from the rear on my van they got me right in to check the problem but they have to check other things out so had to leave it in the shop over the weekend...and I hope whatever the problem is doesn't cost me much to have it fixed being that I am on Social security...they let you know what needs checked out and gets your permission to do the work before they do it...

Customer service was top notch, and the lady working front desk was very pleasant to do service with. The guys were very fast and I feel like the price was fair. I wasn't even there for an hour. Granted I only went for a tire patch, but regardless I've never been in and out of an auto shop so quickly. You guys are great.

Excellent service. Heading to Buffalo National River from Houston for a few nights on the river. Truck started over heating about 5 miles north of Clarksville, thankfully able to make it back into town. Mechanic was able to look at it immediately and found the issue after checking several things. Super nice people with quality service. Very thankful to have them take care of us so far from home.

I am from out of town, was alone and my vehicle s alternator malfunctioned and needed replaced. They were so very kind, provided transportation to my hotel and did excellent and timely work. I was/am so grateful. Highly recommend their services!

I highly recommend Murders Automotive. I broke down at night on a road trip. They open at 8:00 A.M., I called at 7:15, and they answered. They got me in on a Friday before a holiday, at exactly 8:00. I asked what it would cost to diagnose, and I was told $59, and if I decided to fix it, the $59 would be applied to the job. 30 minutes later I had a diagnosis, and they asked me what I wanted to do. I told them to fix it, and an hour later I was leaving. As I was leaving the owner of the shop told me to come back if it wasn't running right. They were very fair, very honest, and very reasonable. If you need mechanic work done in the Clarksville area, I highly recommend Murders Automotive. They saved my weekend!

First they "fixed" my air cond I paid 75.00 for that. It stopped working. The same week my car broke down they kept it for 3 days and couldn't fix it charged me another $350.00. I had to have it towed to the Nissan auto service in Russellville they found the problem in 41 MIN! They fixed it (it was expensive but it is FIXED RIGHT) They also reinstalled a part that murders had taked off that there was nothing wrong with. They seemed like good people But if you have a Nissan or something computerized just take it to the dealership. It WILL save you money in the long run!

I don't like this place. In 2005 I had a van and took it in for transmission filter to be changed. Nothing really wrong with it. When they finish it ran okay but the next I drove I only had park, 2nd and reverse. I don't recommend this place to anybody at all.

Eric is fair when charging for the work he does, and honors Veterans for their Service, woth a military discount. I never had to return for rework. Great job in Clarksville, Johnson Co., AR.

I think they must be pretty good because I have had 3 different vehicles that came down with heating and/ or air problems. They fixed all three and came in under budget. They were still working when the cars were otherwise passed fixing.

They installed an Intoxalock. They broke the steering wheel tilt lever. The right side of the steering colum is split in half. When they removed the Intoxalock, the instrument panel did not work. No speedometer no gas gauge etcetera. They wanted 850 $ to fix the instrument panel alone. I was able to send it off to Atlanta Speedometer when I hired Valley Motor Works. It cost 174 $.Service: Electrical repair
