I am appalled by the shoddy work, $125 cost, and lack of accountability or respect shown by this company for an elderly friend of mine who bought her dryer there, and later requested service because the dryer was taking 4 cycles to dry an average load. "I guess I'll need a new dryer," she said, "because the repair man said there is nothing wrong, but the problem persists. He said he just drained some water from the vent tube." I have the same model, so I took a look, and could immediately tell the air flow was warm but restricted. In 10 minutes I accessed the fan blades and found about a pound of lint slowing the blade. My friend took that to show the company and ask for an adjustment of the charge because the repair had not been thorough, but had no reply in over a week. I subsequently called twice over 2 more weeks and described to 2 people how I had easily repaired the machine, and asked for a call from the owner. A third time I called, I was told, curtly, without further explanation, a certified letter had just been sent. The letter from the owner stated a repair had been performed, and that cleaning and inspecting the vent hose was not part of the job [that was not the problem], and that proper maintenance was the responsibility of the owner. I then went and spoke to the owner personally to make sure she understood how inadequate their service had been, and that I thought at least a partial refund was in order. I asked if my calls were rude or offensive, and was told they were not. I pointed out that inadvertent, improper maintenance must be a mainstay of their business, to counter the shaming her certified letter had implied. She smiled and said she would review what went into the job and see what was appropriate. Another week has passed without any refund forthcoming or the courtesy of a phone call. In my business, if I disappoint a customer, or even if they encounter a problem we are not responsible for, I make an accommodation, and if that does not satisfy, I ask what the customer thinks is fair, to see if I can do more. Sadly, I found The Appliance Store to be nothing more than what I have described here in detail.

Okay, this place is awesome. A little bit more expensive than big name places, sure.. but my god do they make up for it with customer service. There wasn't any pressure to buy, no trying to upsell other models, etc. We bought on Friday afternoon and had it installed Monday morning. The delivery guy was amazing and totally knew what he was doing, answered all our questions. The person who helped us in store knew what they were talking about. Everything was painless and we're definitely going to be going back for our next appliances (and everything else we can get from there). We now have a working and amazingly installed washer and dryer!Also there's a super cute cat in the store, so all the bonus points.Edit: this place is under new management as of like, January 2020, so be advised some of the older reviews are about the old company/management in the same location. Can't recommend enough!

I had problems with a 2 year old GE washing machine and I called Appliances and More for repair service. I couldn t be more happier with the service that they provided. Pete came out the first time to check the machine and make the repair. Unfortunately after making the repair, a couple of weeks later another issue surfaced which was different than the first. After calling the store, Pete came right back and found the cause of the other problem and ordered the necessary parts and then came back to install. After installation he stayed while I washed a regular load of clothes to insure that the machine was working properly. I have not seen this level of service from other companies that I have tried in the past. I highly recommend them and will continue to use them for any appliance needs that I may have in the future

I'm very frustrated. My husband bought me a NEW Whirlpool Steamer dryer from Allen Appliance in Berryville AR one month ago, and it has never worked right. All of my loads (large or small) come out damp. Yesterday, I put four items in the dryer on medium and they came out damp. I now have to hang up my clothes to dry. My husband was actually going to buy a different model and was talked into this one. When he called to return it and upgrade to a better model, he was told we cannot return it. They stated we should contact Whirlpool, and we now have to get a test kit and go through a lot of hoops to return our dryer. We have only owned it one month. The reason to purchase from a small business like this is for the customer service. I was going to upgrade our washer, as well, but will absolutely NEVER do business here again. I recommend that everyone think twice before doing so. Poor service and poor product!

The delivery man was the best. He had to find another guy to help him negotiate stairs in our home and we tipped them each $45! We wanted to wash a load this morning and did not have the Amana manual. The appliance store staff insisted that they included a washer manual but they had not. And when I called to ask for it, they acted like we'd lost it or something. I got upset and just had to terminate the call.No more work with these people. They are amateurs.

They are over-worked, consequently it can take several days for them to get to you, but they do show up and they do a great job. Tom, the repairman, was quick, courteous, and friendly (even stopped to pet one of my elderly cats on his way out). My dishwasher is humming happily again.

Outstanding small town appliance store. Don't expect prices cheaper than Home Depot ... but do expect superior customer service and exceptional repair work. Tom Doss the owner definitely goes the extra mile and more for his customers. He stands by all appliances that his store sells. Wonderful folks there.

We own a Bed & Breakfast in Eureka Springs and we have done businees with Allen Appliance almost exclusively for the last 16 years. We always call them first! Tom and his staff are outstanding!

They have poor customer service and when you return some thing they keep your part and your money get you so fustrated you leave my husband and I went in to return a belt for dryer and get three small pieces witch were 43 dollars and the belt was 20 bucks so we payed the difference of 23 and that's all she run up and when we didn't need the small parts we had reciept and he tried to take them back left them there for two days cause they wouldn't return it cause they open it to make sure it was right part and when my husband went to pick up money all he got was 23 bucks and not the belt back or the money for it a very rude lady named Rhonda yelled and argued with me and yes my voice got raised I wanted her to listen how reduxkulas she sounded she claim she gave the belt money back but she didn't she applied it to the small part and we returned the small part so she wouldn't give belt back or our money yelled was very rude and hung up on me I don't recommend this store to anyone this place is not a friendly or honest place they steal your money I called back and wanted the owner number and they would not give it to me and I bet she won't even call but if she does or any changes I'll report back on her I am reporting them to BBB and filing a small claim on them just for principal of the matter she is wrong
