Took my vehicle in for a loose connection in the wiring and the starter going out. Several weeks later, they told me the engine was seized and they were nice enough to offer to buy the vehicle from me. I Asked what did you mean the engine is blown the owner said no turney wurney, wonking tonking . I thought this was pretty strange that they were even looking at the motor over an electrical and starter issue. So I drove down and asked them to show me how they knew the motor was blown. So they put a wrench on the crank and before our very eyes is able to turn the motor, but still keeps of the charade that the motor is still toast and that it was probably seized the other day and not now . Of course the guy that looked at the truck originally is not there. So we bump on the starter with a pipe and then it tries to start. And he still keeps up the story that the motor seized up . He offers to put a new starter in, I tell him I don t feel comfortable doin that after what all has happened and that there is no way the motor seized up a couple of days ago and is magically better now. I tell him I want my 100 bucks back for having it towed , he declines and whiles off the diagnostic fees. ( I had diagnosed the vehicle,) they misdiagnosed it, said it was trash and then tried to buy and older nice truck from me for next to nothing. He said I wasn t allowing him to fix it, I replied that surely he had to understand why I can t let them touch my vehicle any more. He agreed to give me half of my tow money back if I had the starter replaced and drove the vehicle back to his business so he could make sure the motor hadn t been replaced.. AnywayI had the vehicle towed home put a new starter in it and fix the ground wire and now I m driving around and he did give me half my tow money back. I m so glad I know just enough about cars to not be swindled out of my vehicle. I hate leaving someone a negative review but this is what happened.

I bought a 2017 Nissan used 3 yrs ago and I asked Robby (owner) to check the brakes. He told me that I still have miles to go before replacement. I was pleased and surprised. Most auto repair places would have told me that my car needed brakes. But not this place.Very honest and efficient. My car will only see A1 Auto Service from this point on. Thank you Robby.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Very knowledgeable, friendly and reasonable considering today prices. They do what you want, check your top to bottom. Take the time to explain what they checked. What needs to keep an eye on, what your warranty recommends, what is safe to wait to repair. Also what you should do in the near future. It's the only shop I use and hope they are there for a long time.

Rob is the owner/manager, and he's totally professional and painstakingly honest. He explains everything in detail, and he's built one of the most trustworthy businesses in Northwest Arkansas. I couldn't recommend A1 more. He's a great credit to the community he serves, and you can trust that he'll treat your vehicle as if it were his own. Great, friendly staff, too.Services: Transmission, Brakes

Rob is the best in the industry. If he tells you what it needs it's what it needs. Honest car repair is rare these days but I've known Rob for over 40 years and he earns his money.

Not recommended, especially for grandma. Cheapish & friendly, but zero quality control or accountability. Saving 20% isn't worth it when you can't trust the work done, and they won't take responsibility for new problems they caused.Initially reasonable price on a water pump replacement became unreasonable when they insisted I pay for a new serpentine belt after they damaged my old one. Ignored my request to hold onto old parts both times (water pump and belt).

The guy who runs the place is no-nonsense. He says it how it is and he puts his customers first.I've taken my car to A1 for both oil changes and major issues. They have always done a great job and worked hard to save me time, hassle and money. Very knowledgeable.

Overall this mechanic is a place that all people should avoid. After multiple visits over the years I draw on a variety of negative experiences when I say that it is in everybody's best interest to seek car repair services elsewhere. On one occasion I brought my car to this shop asking them to find the cause of my car running poorly. Upon returning, the owner told me that his "professional" mechanic determined that it was an air supply issue. In the parking lot when I tried to start my car, it wouldn't start. That same mechanic who allegedly determined the problem came and tapped the fuel pump with a hammer and told me the fuel pump was bad. The mechanic only found the real issue after I had already paid for the services. And then the mechanic threw a mallet across the parking lot at the corner of the building. Someone could've stepped around that corner and been struck by a heavy mallet in the head. Needless to say this place is extremely unprofessional.More recently I asked for a price quote on a relatively simple job of replacing an A/C compressor and the owner, Robbie, said that I would need to replace the entire A/C system for around $1500. When I asked what it would cost specifically to have a new compressor put in, he said that they would have to pull the entire engine out and it would be around $1000. This on a Honda Accord, one of the easiest cars to work on. I looked up a video of how to put a new compressor in and it only entailed taking the front passenger side wheel off and removing it from there.TLDR ;This mechanic is definitely a crooked businessman and you should go someplace else.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Electrical, Brakes, Air conditioning, Battery

I would never go to this shop after what they tried to pull. Took my car in there for ABS light on and Robbie the owner told me I had warped rotors, bad brakes, bad sensor for 1600 and a seized caliper. I took my car for second opinion and none of these are true. My car is fine and sensor is 300 bucks. These guys almost robbed me. You ve e been warned!

Great service... changed the oil and checked over the car. Provided a list of services that should be done on the vehicle over the next few months. Helpful, competent staff. We are making this our regular service garage.

I recently took my car to get a transmission put in. I ordered a transmission and dropped it and my car off to get fixed. A week later I called to see what the status was and I was told that the transmission that I bought had a crack on some plate and it was going to cost me another $300.00 for the part. My power steering was making a noise when I turned but it was out of fluid. I told them I wanted everything serviced and the fluid filled up. I called to check on it again about two weeks in to it and they told me it needed a power steering pump replaced. So again, I shelled out money to get that replaced. My battery was going dead after a day of sitting so I had them check to see what the problem was. They told me they had to chase the draw down and it would take some time. About three weeks in they told me it was a fuse that went to the factory DVD player or GPS so they pulled it out and it quit drawing power. I picked up my car after $1700.00 and roughly three weeks later to find out the battery was still going dead and I could't use the factory accessory that came with my car. I shouldn't learned my lesson but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I ordered new headlight assembly's for my car and took it to them to put them in. A week later they told me that it was the wrong kind of headlight assembly (which was true). I picked them up and was going to send them back to get my money and found out there was a piece missing on the back of the headlight assembly, again I had to eat $300.00 more dollars out of pocket. A month and $2100.00 later I still can not drive my car down the road because it doesn't have headlights and the battery goes dead.

As a female, sometimes auto repair places treat me poorly. Not this place. They didn't try to upsell me, and explained everything well. Also, one of the customers had gone for a walk while they were working on his car and it started raining. The owner called him to ask if he needed picked up somewhere. THAT'S customer service!

Not only do these guys do a great job of fixing cars and keeping my family's 4 vehicles up and running, they do an exceptional job of explaining to me the exact issue and helping a layman like myself understand what's going on with my car. I highly recommend them.

either the owner flat out lied to my face or he lacks the experience/training to fix any vehicle properly. Well over $1000 was spent to "fix" car. He told us all it needed now was an alignment. Went to get said alignment and was told it could not be aligned because the work was shotty and still needed some other things repaired.took it for another opinion just to be sure and they confirmed it wasnt done right. Needless to say, im pretty disappointed because i trusted the word of a1 and paid alot of money just to be told it was all moot.
