Maybe the best Transmission shop in AZ?I'm on Vacation and become in trouble with my rear end. Asked two other shops, one offered an appointmend next month, the other was not interested. Mike told me: "come in, we will have a look"Finaly: Plenty of Experience in the house, a great team with heart and soul for screws and nuts, the Differential of my 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 runs smooth and quiet again. They changed all diff- and rear wheel bearings and it took only three days. Professional Service! And so AIRSTREAM and me can create more memories on our Roadtrip.Thanks to Mike and the Team for make all these posible!Kept you in best memories.

Amazing service at Tucson Transmission.I had what I thought were symptoms of a serious transmission problem on the interstate, pulling my travel trailer behind my pick-up truck, near the end of a long road trip to Tucson. Made it into town, did a little online research & cold-called Tucson Transmission. Mike the owner said to come right over.Mike did no-charge computer diagnostics & quickly identified the problem as an ignition coil gone bad on 1 cylinder of my truck s engine.Despite the full service shop, huge # of vehicles waiting outside to be worked on, and no history with me, Mike immediately took my truck into the shop & did the coil repair himself, checked the plugs & confirmed no other transmission issues. Said it was no problem, he could squeeze in the minor repair on my truck while I waited. And I was on my way in less than an hour.One of the best auto repair experiences I ve ever had! Thanks Mike!I can see why your business is so successful & I really appreciate my great experience with you.

I ve known mike for years and he is the only mechanic I trust. Most honest and integrity driven owner out there. He has helped me out so many times and always provided the best work around. I now live way outside Tucson but know I can always count on mike even when I call to pick his brain when I can t make it to Tucson. If you are needing a shop go to mikes you won t be disappointed and will see for yourself how good of a guy he is and how great his staff are.He s done trans rebuilds, a nightmare Pacifica, suspension, and multiple other repairs over the last 9 or so years I ve been going to him.

Tucson Transmission has been fabulous with all the work they've done on my vehicle (2007 Nissan Murano). They may get swamped at times but do fantastic work and great customer service.

The worst place to ever get your car fixed!! I wouldn't recommend this place. My man just got his car fixed by them within a couple days it all went to hell and wouldn't work so they had to fix it again and had the nerve to charge him more money after it was their screw up it just look sketchy after not even a week of haven't it back it got worse then when he brought it in. So I wouldn't bring our car again to ever get fixed by themI will go somewhere else in the future!!!

To be honest, I have been to a lot of mechanics around town, unfortunately, and I have to say I have been working through so many mechanics that I was willing to try and having a little mechanical background, I could tell who was honest and who wasn't because it will eventually show up who isn't. Mike and his team are straight up the best, and they stand behind the work they do. There is a wait to get in, but itso worth it. We will bring our vehicles here from now on... and I am 45 min on the other side of Tucson.

They've had my Mercedes-Benz for over a week and haven't heard nothing from them the secretary or Mike are supposed to call me back on Friday but now it's 3 Days Later 4 days later no one's call me back

this is the worst mechanic i have ever been to. i took my car there in the summer of 2022, it was a early 2000 s pontiac. Mike, the shop owner, had told me it would cost 5-600 to fix everything wrong with my car. and pontiacs are not know to be the most reliable cars. so i trusted in him to fix it for a reasonable price but he lied to me. he over charged me by 1000 which the total cost came out to 15000. and he DID NOT even fix my car - _ - he would also never return any calls and kept my car for a week longer than he told me it would take to fix and by the time i got my car back i was driving it and within 20 minutes of driving it the check engine light came back on and i had to drive it back to him. all he did was clear the codes and didn t fix anything. and his secretary was rude and would get annoyed when i would call them to get updates on my car that he had for days longer than what he told me it would take and would never communicate with me. i would never go here again. the shop owner is not to be trusted, especially if you re a girl and he is just a big scam artist. his whole business is a scam. rot in hell Mike.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Brakes, Auto emissions testing, Air conditioning

Great! There s a reason (Mike the owner) has so many vehicles at his shop. Flat out one of the best shops around Tucson. Mike and his staff fixed the transmission in our suburban and had great communication and flexibility throughout the process.I really appreciated the prices as well! Thanks Mike and staff.

Rebuilt my transmission they were supposed to replace the speed sensor but didn't and then charged me again to replace it. Transmission still not working right and only a one year guarantee. Will not recommend them to anyone I like.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I went through an irritating experience where I thought that I needed to change my entire transmission that was going to cost me $4,000 in Tucson transmission assured me that that wasn't the problem. I was able to get my problem fixed and they were able to give me an oil change under $200. I have been to this place a few times and I'm so happy every time I go there. I got a quote from firestone for my front axels. They wanted $1400 and that was just for one. I went to Tucson Transmission about a month ago for a full transmission rebuild on my Ford Expedition. Not only was their quote almost $1,000 below my other quotes(some places wouldn't even give me a quote!) but the owner Mike assured me on the out-the-door price with no hidden fees. 4 days later, they delivered for that price. Transmission is smooth with a 1yr warranty.My Expedition had also been having an intermittent vacuum/fuel pump issue before the transmission went out, so I decided to let them take a look at that last week. They diagnosed a cracked fuel pump retainer ring, repaired it and had me back out the door the same day.However, the vehicle died on me two days later, and this is the main reason I decided to write a review. Mike had his shop quickly set up a tow. They diagnosed a minor connection issue not related to the fuel pump repair and fixed it for FREE... they even covered the tow fee! I was amazed by their exceptional service and Mike's ability to build genuine trust. My family has a new shop for all of our future needs. Thank you Mike and your team!

My name is Jerard, I use this service for a 2006 BMW 325i the man was nice and was engaged also with questions. He took the car for a drive to make sure the transmission was worth Saving. The BMW dealership was trying to charge anywhere between 900-3500 to fix the issue with the car. This was able to get the job done for $193 with me buying the part and that was an excellent save in my life. thank you so much.Service: Transmission

There's a reason these folks are always so busy! This is a top notch transmission shop. The owner Mike is always involved in the shop operations, and makes sure everything is taken care of. I really like the personal attention and care these guys show every time.

No don't go here absolutely horrible paid so much money to still have my check engine light still on.I can't believe they are still in business .This shop is only a transmission shop nothing else and even at that I would not take a chance with them.They even rip my electrical wires on my Ac compressor and had the audacity to give me a quote to fix it . I did I took it to a real mechanic to get it fixed properly.Had a water pump timing and about 550 miles it started grinding again I can't believe I paid $1800 for there so called mechanic skills they say they have .

These guys are amazing. After three months of battling transmission repairs with other shops and being with out my Jeep the entire time I took it to Tucson Transmission and they figured out the underlying problem as soon as the dropped the tranny. Reasonable pricing, great competent and friendly staff. I will never take my vehicles elsewhere. They deserve every bit of my business with how much they have helped me out. :)

The guys over at Tucson Transmission are hands down the best. Took my truck in to have a shift kit installed and everything went smooth as butter. Truck performs perfect and not a leak in sight! The team over there took great care of my truck and were very polite and professional. The price was super competitive and actually cheaper than most other places. Most people say "you get what you pay for" but that was not the case for me. The price was cheap to me and the craftsmanship was top notch! If you need any transmission work done do not hesitate to take your vehicle over to Tucson Transmission. Thank you guys for your hard work!

Just got a used transmission installed for my 2005 Grand Caravan. Can't be happier with Mike's crew. Friendly people and good price (I know this because I called several places). I will recommend this shop to all the friends who need auto repairs.

I was given instruction to drop my car off at 8am for an oil change and diagnostic... I received no call or anything all day and when I called at 430pm ... they said that they didn't have time to get to my vehicle.They could have at least called me and let me know! Very unprofessional. I took the day off to get this work done.Service: Oil change

They did the main rear seal in my Jeep 4 times. Still leaks. They did the work under warranty but I'm sick of not having my jeep in the driveway. Going somewhere else to get it done right

BUYER BEWARE!!I brought my car in and was told it would be ready in a few days. When I checked in to see what the status was, they said it would be a few more days and I would have to buy more parts. I asked to get the car so I could get a second opinion, because I had a feeling they weren't being honest.Low and behold, when I took it to the new shop, I was told that Tucson Transmission and Auto Repair had given me the wrong information and was obviously trying to get more money out of me.Tucson Transmission and Auto Repair is one of those shops that gives you a smile and "professional service," then takes you for every penny they can get. Had my transmission rebuilt here, and Mike and the staff here were awesome. They diagnosed my car for free, and also dealt with my warranty company, and got them to cover the bulk of the cost of a new transmission. Mike kept me updated every step of the way, and was fair and honest in with his repairs and his prices. I was treated like a friend here and my car is running like new. It also came with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. I would recommend tucson transmission to anyone needing an oil change all the way up to a new transmission.
