I love the folks at this shop. I took my 1963 Chevy Impala SS convertible for some restoration work. They did everything I asked and then some. The paint job is stunning and they executed my vision for new upholstery to perfection.Everyone there, David, Ryan & the irrepressible Mary, are friendly & approachable. They answered all my (sometimes, dumb) questions honestly and promptly. They are true professionals and proud of their craft. I have been very pleased with the work and their interactions with me. I would recommend them without question. In fact, I am going back to get some more work done.

This place is the best! I went in to get a new engine for my 2012 Silverado. And from day one talking to Mary on the phone, I could tell they were professional and the real deal. When I went to the shop to talk to the mechanics, David and Ryan, they walked me through all options I could do for my truck. I went with a new engine and once it got to the shop the guys were done installing it within two days of it arriving. The knowledge and professional here is second to none.I also had a grinding sound that I needed them to check out in addition to the new engine and the guy it a bad transfer case, so I ordered a transfer case and dropped it off and they had it installed the next day before noon. Quick and quality work and great communication. They never tried to up sale me on anything, they didn t try to tell me I needed something when I didn t. I felt great knowing my truck was in this shop.I got my truck back and I couldn t be happier, the truck drives better than it ever has before.I m ecstatic about the work that was done. I ll be back for more work in the near future. If you re looking for any mechanic work done to your vehicle I strongly advise you to stop by Sharps.Mary is great at her job and is great with communication. David and Ryan are skilled mechanics that will answer any question you got and they do quality work.

I went to answer an ad for experienced paint and body guy that specializes in restoration. He's only offering $20/hr. I am getting $25/hrs. currently at another shop. The car I was working on has paint cracking on cowl panel, bubble in paint on door, over spray on red stripes. And he won't offer me more until I show him what I can do. Ha. I am under the impression that he doesn't really know restoring classic cars. He doesn't know how to put together the windows on a Camaro door.. don't know how he does it. Have a great day. His response is Trumpian at best. I was only there 3.5hrs. Your finish product is okay if you're not expecting much. Your customers would do better elsewhere, if they want quality. I still have a job making $25/hr. without any paint responsibilities. I have best paint trophies for local car shows. That black camaro owner should be delighted knowing the paint is cracking and bubbling. Looks like the painter could use some help. Desperately! Here is my final product at my job. You are funny. I'm honored to not be qualified to your position. It would be a major regression. Hi-Speed is way better product than yours, hands down. You are more like a glorious Maaco from my impression. People also look for good employment and I know why you don't have the high level People; comparable to Hi-Speed Restorations. I know. I've been there. Stick to the mechanics. You're not that good at the paint end. I will keep my accolades to myself and move forward.

So me and a buddy did a engine swap on a 91 ford f150 took a inline 6 out & swapped with 7.5l. It once started but than didn't & would not drive when gas was pressed so there was issues I couldn't solve, so I took it to this "custom" shop. I took 2 loans out combined worth of $5,146.61 USD that they had suggested from there shop because they couldnt come up with a price or amount for me to pay (Im not rich I proably had 1,500 bucks in my account). That they recommended due to "not knowing how long "wiring issues" will take or why it isn't starting. One good thing I will say is they call & communicate good & hey they got it to start but was not drivable still. So this was all after I took a loan of $5,146.61 USD. That's alot of money & still they suggested to take another loan out to fix the truck. I'll give a breakdown of where the money went scripted on the invoice I have.$1,887 Labor wiring issues$940.50 Labor start up issue "getting vechile running properly"$487.50 Labor Fuel tank of corrosion$1,500 Misc work diagnosing wiring adjustmentsLast starter solenoid & fuel pump strainer kit "shop supplies" worth $306.87Now looks to me they worked proably about 2 days on my truck & used the loan amount on other projects for other customers vechiles as you know my truck is a 91 ford f150 how bad could it be I wouldn't mind if I paid this much to actually have vechile running smooth & street drivable. So if there suggesting you to take a loan out & they'll tell you to just see how much they'll lend you. Don't do it I wouldn't recommend them maybe there strong points are something else but repairing a old farm truck was too much for them.*funny note my invoice they put 91 Ford F150 5.3l.... it has a 7.5l 460 big block.

Very nice shop, they were knowledgeable and precisely described the work needed to properly mate my new trans/ torque converter in my beloved 1996 Chevy Astro that carries a newer motor. They tested it thoroughly, verified it was operating properly, and that the seals were snug before having me pick it up. With 12k / 12 month warranty I can't thank them enough!Service: Transmission

Thank you sharps custom for making my dreams a reality . They did a complete ls swap in my 71 k5 blazer and paint and body. They have exceeded my expectations. I never thought it would come out this nice. You guys are excellent. If I could give 10 stars I would. Very professional. If you want top knotch work these guys get it done and in a timely fashion. My blazer was at at two body shops and it stayed 1 1/2 at one shop and another for 10 months. Brought it here after a friend took his c10 to them. And they do it all from A-Z. I highly recommend them. Thanks again.Service: Painting

Idk what happened to my review?? But I guess this business deserves for me to write about them a second time. I had my 1972 Pontiac Lemans sport LS swapped by them. The owner David quoted me a new motor, transmission, newer brakes, and more. His sister Mary Lou that works in the office is super nice, very customer service friendly and answers all questions you have. If she doesn t know the answer, she s quick to pull David into the office to sort everything out. David and Ryan know what they are doing when it comes to LS swaps. They had my car running and driving in a matter of weeks not months with the newer 6.0 and 4L80 installed. David is great, he communicates, sends pictures of the build process, and cares about each build as if it s his own. This shop personally earned my future business for there punctuality, the way they carry themselves, and the way they treated me like family. David you have a good thing going!keep making people s dream builds come to fruition! I ll see you soon with my next project! God bless!Services: Transmission, Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes

I brought my car in, I was informed the repair would cost more than my old car was worth and that I would be better off getting a new vehicle. I was happy that they told me the truth and didn't just try to make money off of me. They also let me keep my car there for the couple of days that I needed until I could get it towed back home, but with no rush.. I really appreciate that!Honest and kind!

I was an RV Dealer in Az for almost 50 years and I've used many outside businesses to do repairs on my coaches over the years. This weekend the transmission went out in my truck while coming to Tucson to pickup our granddaughter. I figured I'd be down for two or three days. I called Sharp's and John said if I could get it to them early Monday they'd try to get us on the road again today And they did amazing service and customer care. The owner David even brought me back to the hotel and picked me up when it was done. One of the best experiences ever. Thanks Guys.

We had a transmission issue on our motorhome on our way home from Mexico. I called them first thing one morning and they got us in, fixed the issue, and back on the road that same morning. Also to note, when I called they said they would trouble shoot the issue free of charge. After they looked at it they were confident it was the throttle position sensor and gave me an exact cost before doing any work. Our rig drove great after that and had no issues the rest of the way home. The price was very reasonable too. I would definitely recommend them.

We had to replace our whole transmission (yikes) and they were very knowledgeable and understanding through the whole process. John made sure to update us regularly and helped us stay on budget. The team was very kind and did a fantastic job.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Had transmission rebuilt in May 2021and business sold in July 2021. I just recently found this out but they will not cover the warranty . I corrected the dates and the new business is still using the name of previous. My warranty wasn't out so you can respond the way you want. I have proof vehicle was still under warranty and have reported to BBB and Kgun 9. If the business sold your not entitled to use their Google reviews for your benefit.Service: Transmission repair

Took my truck to Sharp's for what I though would be a simple repair. Turned out someone put glue in my fuel tank. My insurance company gave me hell, but Dave took care of everything. Great shop, great service. I'll be back...

Overall the service was good, my car is a 1999 BMW 3 series and it was leaking transmission fluid. They easily identified it and fixed it for me, so the actual service was good. Although when I picked my car up the next morning from them it did have a dead battery which it had never had before. They got the car running again in no time and I was on my way. Unfortunately later in the day my cars battery had died again. I immediately assumed the battery was done and replaced it later in the evening and now the car runs perfectly normal again. I'm not sure if something wasn't done properly when the car was serviced or my battery coincidentally just died that moment, but I also did end up having to replace the battery on my car. Like I said, the service was good and simple and I am fairly satisfied

On our way from Seattle to San Carlos, MX. When our 2010 Explorer decided to throw a "wrench" into our plans. We pulled into Sharps at 7:00am on a Thursday morning with no appointment and a red wrench and check engine light on the dash. They recieved us with open arms even though they were very busy. They performed a diagnosis on the spot and with our approval, proceeded with the repair. They rebuild their transmissions in house with quality parts. The items other shops sometimes charge extra for like new torque converters are included in the original estimate. We were very fortunate to fine them in Tucson.Thank you so much,Walt and Linda DrechslerService: Transmission

It was a standard "hot Tucson August day". My transmission went out. After I told my neighbor we were keeping the car, he recommended Sharp's Transmission. That was the last of my stress. The R & R was done in a real timely manner. That weekend we left for northern Arizona and never worried. Dave McCarty

Brought in our company van for repair due to overdrive light being on. They did troubleshooting and said internal wiring harness was defective and it would be approx 500.00 to replace. Replaced harness, came to pick up van and light came back on about a mile down the road. Called the shop, they said too busy to repair it the following week, bring it in the next week after that. I brought it back in and they said it was now the main wiring harness that must have a short. $500.00 more, and the light came back on a few days later. I do not have any confidence in their ability to repair the electrical issues associated with newer electronic transmissions.

We had our 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 transported from Santa Fe, New Mexico because Lithia Dodge had told us that our transmission was unrepairable. Sharp's diagnosed the problem as a damaged wire on the transmission and had it promptly repaired for a fraction of what the Dodge dealer charged us. I would strongly recommend Sharp's to everyone.Service: Transmission

My daughter was following. A semi truck on i10 a large chunk of metal fell off the truck and went under her car tearing her transmission up... We took it to sharps and he diagnosed the problem and gave us options . we opted to buy a used one from a junkyard and let them put it in , sharps was patient and waiting .when the transmission came in it was broke and they caught it .so another was sent out and it was broke . needless to say it's been two months and they were patient so we opted to just have them rebuild it ... 2 days later she was driving home .. Great job guys ... Number 1 in my book .. Stay local they build relationships wth their customers ... We will be back wth our other cars
