So...I'm a rainbird with a great mechanic in Washington but I have never needed one down here.....I've driven my Honda down the last five winters with no issues...sadly this was the year...my computer system started acting all crazy after a road trip to Las Vegas..I got back and took it to a mechanic shop well known on speedway...something just didn't settle right when without telling me they did a major inspection on my car and came back with almost three grand in auto issues..and none of them were what I went in for..they told me I needed new rotors..but what they didn't get was that I knew I had just had rotors put on 10 months ago...so long story short I didnt trust them and my mechanic back home said "run"...fast forward...and my car breaks down completely a day before an LA road trip...I found this shop thru reviews and immediately when I called and spoke with Megan...I just knew they would be great.....let's be honest....especially as a woman...we feel like we can get screwed pretty easily when it comes to getting our cars fixed....just think back to the beginning...well anyway...I stopped in..met megan and "chief" and had my car towed when i got back....they took care of everything and...not for one second did i think I got screwed...the cost was less than I thought..and I'm so happy to know that I found a great shop for my car when I'm here for winter and spring!!!!! I highly recommend them...I even drove from Sabino to W Prince to use them!...having a great and honest mechanic is one of the most important things in my world!!! Thanks so much!Updated review . March 2024 Took my car in for a service before driving back to Washington . I knew I needed back shocks as they were leaking a year ago . They got me in Rick even took me out and showed me the shocks as he knows I am still weerie from the shop on speedway last year anyway got my new shocks and they even charge me less than the quote because it got done faster . Just awesome!!

Great experience, will definitely go back! Rick explained everything and took time when I was late, to go over what was immediately needed and what to keep an eye on. We've been taking our cars to Rick at Import Service Center for almost the full 20+ years we've lived here. He's taken immaculate care of four Toyotas, three of which are still running -- one is 20+ years old and still going like the Energizer Bunny! I never hesitated to trust a car he or his mechanics have worked on with my two kiddos in tow the whole time they were growing up. He's fair, honest and his recommendations for maintenance are exactly what our vehicles have always needed to run safely and economically.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Scheduled an appointment for an oil change & transmission fluid service for my Honda Accord on a Friday which went fine (despite the tech getting transmission fluid all over my lower radiator hose). But then the problems begin -The invoice was for ~$230 which I am fine with, but James (front desk) undercharged me and I was only billed for ~$30. I didn't notice right away until I checked my credit card app, and being someone that has integrity and respects the auto tech field, I went out of my way to call the shop the following Monday regarding the undercharge.The undercharge was resolved right then and there, but on the same phone call I wanted to inquire about getting my VCM Spool Valve replaced, valve lash adjusted (if needed), and a valve cover gasket replacement for both banks. James said he'll need some time to get that quote together and call me back, since it was close to closing time when the call occurred. (Which I totally understand because I know a service like that would have overlap with labor hours and he would need to speak to Rick.)Tuesday - Nothing, no call backWednesday - Nothing, no call backThursday - Still nothing with no call back, so I go ahead and call the shop directly asking about the quote. James says he still hasn't gotten the chance to speak with Rick regarding the job since he's wrenching all day.Ever since that Thursday I still have not received any kind of call or contact from them, it has been 2 weeks. I work 60 hour weeks so making a physical stop at the shop is very hard since I get off at 4:30PM and they close at 5 or 5:30PM.Regardless, I am very irritated with this experience. Especially due to the fact that I personally went out of my way to get the SIGNIFICANT undercharge (how does one even make a mistake like that) corrected, which probably saved James' job and got the techs paid in full. All I wanted was a quote for my requested service, which I was DEFINITELY GOING TO BRING to their shop to get done, but I guess I am not worthy of a person or customer to have their attention for 10-15 minutes to get a quote and discuss the service.Services: Transmission, Oil change

If you are looking for an honest, reliable, knowledgeable, and dedicated mechanic, Rick Burnett is the person to see. Rick will only make required or necessary repairs. If additional repairs are required in the future, Rick will give you his best estimate as to when you should have those repairs done.I have used Rick s services for over 10 years he is super efficient with his tools and his shop is very well organized as well. He is a professional individual and all his assistant say they learn many things from him every day. I believe Rick Burnett is one of the best car mechanics in Tucson, AZ. I used to have my car serviced here in the 90s. I moved out of town in 2000. Just got back early this year and was happy to see that this shop is still there-- same owner-- same great service. I've always felt that I was treated fairly in there. And as a woman, sometimes you aren't. But here, the owner is honest and reliable and fair. He thoroughly explains everything and he is just an all-around nice guy.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Have been taking my cars to Rick for several years now. I have experienced honest reliable servce. Its the only automobile garage I dont have to worry about when my car goes out of site that they aren't giving it tender loving care. I know that Rick makes sure its fixed exactly how he diagnosed the problem,And for the price he quoted.....

I was referred to Import Service Center by my trusted mechanic of 12 years who no longer works on older vehicles. I needed a lot of intensive work done on my 2001 Accord, including a motor mount and struts. Rick and his team took the extra time to re-inspect items that had previously been reported to me during an inspection in November and gave me better information to work from. I appreciate their thoroughness and professionalism. All work was completed as promised and came in totally in line with the initial estimate I was given. The car drives so much smoother now thanks to the team at Import Service Center. Greatly appreciated. Kudos to Heather as well for the time spent giving me a ride to and from my place. I would recommend them to any import vehicle owner.

Rick and his team have worked on all of my families vehicles and the experience has always been top notch. The service is always exceptional and they are extremely knowledgeable and very honest. It is hard to find this combination at most shops including the dealership in my experience. I recommend Import Service Center to everyone with confidence as I know they will be taken care of.

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. The AC went out in my Infiniti, and I brought it in to Rick. The warranty that came with my loan is from a pretty shady company, and Rick went to bat for me with them. Originally they only wanted to cover a small portion of it because the other parts of the system "weren't broken yet". He convinced them that they would be broken in a few months if we didn't replace all of it, and he got about $3000 of the repairs covered for me. He fought with them for 3 weeks for me. I cannot recommend this shop enough!!!!

I enjoy working on my older Subaru as it's an affordable car that I'm not too terribly worried about destroying while I learn the basics.However, in attempting a timing belt change, I ran into trouble making some, shall we say, choice decisions. After making an utterance of equally choice words (crass even), I gave I.S.C. and Rick a call to see if they could undo what I had wrought upon my Subie.From the beginning Rick was beyond professional, knowledgeable and helpful. This was by the far the best experience I've ever had with a mechanic/getting a vehicle repaired. Using, no doubt, a plurality of skills, Rick had me in and out and back on the road at an affordable price in the blink of an eye. No gimmicks, no up-selling parts I didn't need. These are salt of the Earth, honest tradesmen. A veritable diamond in the rough.If you haven't yet decided where you need to get your import repaired, don't hesitate! Give Rick and team a call. Rick and his colleagues at import service center are the best group I have ever run across to take care of any of my automobiles. I ran into serious trouble after my husband and I became ill and these wonderful people not only were patients but it helps me through the economic struggle it took almost a year-and-a-half and they never let me down they are honorable decent wonderful people to work with you will not be disappointed. This is the way businesses with integrity and kindness work. Go! I am indebted to them for life for their professionalism and kindness which goal s hand in hand as our life goes on. I celebrate good people these are very good people who do their jobs and go the extra distance for their clients. I m not from around here, but was at the tail end of a visit before a long road trip. Naturally, cue the triangle of death on my Prius. I limped to the shop, and Rick couldn t have been more helpful! Not only did he diagnose AND fix my problem on a Friday, he ran a complete diagnostic and told me what I may need to work on coming up. He didn t try to upsale or take advantage of me. He patiently explained the problem and gave me a quote that was spot on.I feel lucky to find places like these that could so easily take advantage of a situation, but don t. And beyond that, they offered to give me a ride to a local mall or help get a cab to a friend s. They took a stressful situation and made it a lot easier!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I own a 1993 Acura with close to 300,000 miles and have been taking to Import Systems for almost 20 years. They have a complete understanding of my vehicle and basically keep it running and safe. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Import Services.

I workeded in auto repair for a couple of years so I know about auto service. Rick and his crew are by far the best in the business. I do a lot of my own maintenance but when I get into a job that's over my head I go see Rick.

LaJuanna R.Have been taking my cars to Rick since 1995. He monitors what requires attention and lets me know what will be needing to be done in the future so I can plan for it. I had taken my cars to dealerships in the past and would get totally ripped off. I wouldn't think of taking my car to anyone else. Good to know I have someone I can totally trust and would highly recommend him and his mechanics.

While passing through Tucson, I needed my car A/C checked. The folks at Import Service made sure I could get in immediately. The checked the car visually, then did a more complete inspection to determine the issue. I was in and out within 2 hours and extremely satisfied with the results as well as the price and all the people there.

Great service and knowledgeable staff. I went for just the standard 15000 mile service and oil and filter change. They were proactive in checking over everything and they discovered a potential problem caused by a previous service company in Denver that could have been very damaging. Glad they caught it.

These guys only work on imports and they are very good. Honest, thorough, and informative. Rick Burnett is a good guy to have in your corner if you drive an import.
