Was passing through Tuscon on way to San Diego and my axle bearing broke. I googled a mechanic near me. Called Halls automotive and Larry was able to provide a little bit of insight on what to do. He even suggest a tow company in which he trusts. The tow was very reasonable. Once the car got it into his shop he was able to take a look at it, give me an estimate and fixed within a day and a half. Larry even updated me on what exactly he was doing and why. One of his mechanics even gave me and my 3 year old a ride to the hotel. Larry didn't just "FIX" the broken part (which I think the last mechanic did) he brought parts in from different places and chose the best one for my dollar. After everything was fixed, Larry assured me i wouldn't have this problem again. I 100% trusts he did a amazing job and in a reasonable amount of time also.Thank you Halls Automotive

Larry - the owner - is a rarity in the automotive repair world: He charges a fair price, is HONEST, and know what he's doing - especially for vehicles that have been on the road for a while. I can safely say he's the number 1 "go to guy" in Tucson when it comes to older vehicles that other shops won't touch. Why won't other shops deal with older vehicles? They simply don't want to bother with actually fixing something properly - they want you in and out as fast as possible. Larry will explain EXACTLY what is wrong, give you a written estimate and when you can expect it back. Support this local business - you'll be glad you did!

I decided to have my car fixed here because of all of the good reviews. Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience. The repairs I paid for were not done correctly and I ended up breaking down twice. I had the repairs done at another shop. I asked that shop to take photos of the problem and to explain in writing exactly what had been done wrong. I contacted Hall's in writing asking to be compensated for the additional work. I included all invoices and the note from the second mechanic explaining the issues. I also let them know that the mechanic would be willing to speak to them directly. I sent the paperwork return receipt so I know it was received. They didn't contact me. They did not contact the mechanic. I waited several weeks to hear from them and then contacted the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint. The BBB contacted Hall's directly but never received a response. I'm now in the process of speaking to a lawyer. I only want to be fairly compensated. Not contacting me is disrespectful. Not guaranteeing their work is an unethical business practice.

Need an Honest, Professional Shop to service your vehicle? HALL'S AUTOMOTIVE ROCKS! So glad I found them. Larry and his team will go the extra mile to make sure it is Diagnosed, Accurately Estimated, and Completed When Promised! I paid what was estimated to the Penny! You cannot go wrong here.

Larry and his mechanics are AMAZING. Did the work I requested and didn't gouge me on the bill. Had a problem unrelated to my repairs and they took the time to get me back on road quickly. Always willing to help and is a fair and honest mechanic. 10 stars

While passing through Tuscon, my car ( a 2003 crown Vic) began making a horrible noise that made me halt my trip home to the Northwest in fear of breaking down in the desert. After explaining all that, Larry agreed to see me as soon as I came in. We hoped in the car and diagnosed the issue immediately and had me ready to go promptly. I didnt actually need a repair (non-essential ac component I didn't care about in my hurried trip home) and he let me go FOR FREE with peace of mind after explaining everything in great detail. I suppose my only complaint is that I can't find such an honest mechanic in Oregon. I only hope that you, the review reader decide to trust halls with your repairs.

Where to start, I came to Larry with a nightmare of a project. I need a complete engine rebuild, clutch, steering rack, transfer case, rotors, brakes pretty much if was on the car it needed to be replaced. The car had sat for two years and basically was a shell of broken dreams. Larry and his incredibly friendly and efficient staff too the project and quoted me a time and date sure enough they delivered. This job was not for the feint-of-heart. Hall's Automotive definitely made a life time customer and will have my business from now on. I HIGHLY recommend this shop from projects large to small.

WOW. MY TRUCK RUNS SO WELL! The service was excellent! I was preparing my truck for my 16 year old and wanted her to drive a problem free vehicle. I was lazy and didn't maintain my truck very well. Hall's Automotive did so good at fixing it up that I have them do all my work now. You will get a fair price. You won't be sorry.

I was referred to Larry by the shop (BrakeMax on Pantano) that I take my mid 60's Corvette to for oil changes. I needed help with tune-up and minor repair work. Finding a auto repair shop that works on old cars isn't easy. Larry took care of all the issues the old car had, as well as giving the old car a mechanical look over. I highly recommend Hall's Auto for your car needs.

I would recommend Halls automotive to everyone. Larry did such an amazing job fixing the engine of my truck and at such a reasonable price too. I only go to Halls, even for simple maintenance checkups.

The Staff was really friendly and they were very explanatory. I dont know a lot about cars but they made me feel safe in the knowledge they were giving me. The shop was one of the cleanest shops Ive ever seen and the price wasnt to bad either. A little hard to find the first time but super worth it. I would recommend going to this shop.

New in town and a coworker suggested Halls. Everyone was friendly, the price was reasonable, and my car runs great now. A little hard to find, but I think they are totally worth it. I highly recommend them.

Friendly, decent price. Out of my way but they were willing to give me a free ride home and pick me up. Overall good experience here and will go back. I'd suggest this shop.

Larry and the whole staff was awesome helping get my trucks ready for a long trip to Ohio Larry was honest and very concern about the needs of my two trucks he told me what I needed I did not like what he told me all I seen was $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ but then he showed me what it would cost if I did not do all the items that he suggested the office staff was always very nice and very very helpful thanks for every thing big hoss from Ohio
