Several of my family members have brought their vehicles here, so Gibbs came highly recommended.My Toyota truck needed new brakes, so I called at least six places around Tucson to get estimates & Gibbs was the most professional & realistic on the phone. Other places I called weren t very professional on the phone & some places wouldn t give me an estimate without doing an inspection on my vehicle.Once I spoke with George Gibbs on the phone, I knew this place was going to be my best option. Gibbs automotive team replaced my brake & rotors at a very reasonable cost. They were not the most inexpensive, but by far not the most. The quality of work, professionalism of staff, and their timeliness surpassed my expectations. My truck was in and out in less than 8 hours. The same week, my wife s car broke down & needed extensive and expensive work. Once again, Gibbs automotive team did outstanding work.I feel Gibbs Automotive has the most honest mechanic team I have ever encountered. The quality and thoroughness of their work is outstanding. George takes the time to listen to customer s needs & is very attentive. He is quick to return calls & answer questions and make appropriate recommendations. I will not go anywhere else if my vehicle needs repairs.I HIGHLY recommend Gibbs Automotive if anyone needs vehicle repairs.

I have been going to Gibbs since 2019 whenever I have issues with my truck. George has always been great to work with. The mechanics are really good at diagnosing problems with my vehicle. It is rare to find a shop with integrity you can always trust.Mark Y.

Came in last minute with an urgent job, and Gibbs Automotive came through in a pinch, really pulled my fat out of the fire after my truck fell when a cheap jack stand collapsed during a brake job and a couple lug bolts broke. Michaela (hope I'm spelling that right) was very understanding and helpful, quite upfront about time possibilities vs. staffing issues, and they delivered in spectacular fashion. The cost was reasonable, and the work performed to specifications; bring your vehicle here for good, honest work performed by good people.

Very good shop, would recommend! Good work, excellent prices, and good prioritization of what is needed immediately and what can wait (and how important it is).I waited a week until after repair to ensure it was done right & it was; I double checked the work.Price was extremely reasonable, and staff took a very common sense approach to what needed to be fixed, and what was "nice to have" but let me make the choices.I am new to Tucson & I will be returning here with my vehicles.

I had a great experience with Gibbs. I took a used vehicle to them for a pre purchase inspection and was treated with respect and honesty. George was a huge help and ultimately helped me get a discount on the vehicle from the dealership.

My car was stolen from my apartment complex and when recovered wouldn t start. I had my vehicle towed to Gibbs (first time there). Thank God it was just an issue with the ignition key and some other minor issues uncovered. Gar runs great again. I am very grateful for the integrity of George who runs the shop for not inflating what needed to be done. He also took a look at my mom s brakes who gave me a ride to pick up my vehicle and quoted $600 less than Brakemax. The work done was sound and you can rely on Gibbs to be honest, competent, thorough and professional. Thank you!!

I took in my car to Gibbs as it had many issues that I hadn t been able to get fixed successfully. I had a lengthy list and they took care of all my concerns and returned the car in better condition than when I bought it. I highly recommend Gibbs for all your car repairs.

These guys came highly recommended and they re just about a block from where I am here in Tucson, so it was such a quick, easy, and pleasant experience from start to finish. Firstly, they were able to see me same-day, despite being very busy, which I greatly appreciated. Michaela was kind enough to take me back home and pick me up when the car was finished. George gave me a phone call, walked through options, pricing and recommended maintenance in addition to the oil change I needed just a couple hours after drop-off. They were honest, fair, and just so kind and courteous the whole way through. I can t recommend them highly enough. Car is purring like a kitten. They have a loyal customer in me from now on! I took my car in for an inspection. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and explained what I needed in order of importance and provided an estimate for each item. They also included what future maintenance I might need depending on the mileage. When the car was done, they were thoughtful and put my sun shade up in the windshield.

I was recommended to come here for my mechanic needs, I was very hesitant at first because two other auto shops in town created more issues than I could imagine. I brought my SUV in and was pleased on the amazing customer service! George is awesome and explains in detail what he needs to fix and even shows me. I wouldn't go to any other mechanic! I give more stars that is shown above :) **********

Was willing to wait for my but because they were short handed John gave me a ride home and picked me up when the car was ready. The mechanic reviewed all of the car issues with me and explained my options. Overall, very good experience.

This is the best automotive service in Tucson! My late husband used to take is 66 Chevy here, and after he passed, I began taking my everyday car here too because I knew they could be trusted. They are honest, dependable, and easy on the pocketbook! My sister, sister-in-law, and son now also use their service. I discovered this shop because it's where my warranty contracts with. But I am so glad I did and I will be coming here even after I don't have warranty coverage. Everyone at this shop is so nice and George, the manager is really just outstanding! I've never had good luck using shops, I'm 41 and literally been treated terribly at every shop I've used except for oil change places lol. Until now. This shop goes above and beyond to do what they can to help you get on the road again asap. I have been recommending this place to friends and I will recommend it to anyone. If you are looking for a trustworthy shop where you will actually be treated like a customer they want to have, this is your shop. I haven't had to pay for the work because it's under warranty but I still get the paperwork with the prices and they seem extremely fair. I appreciate everyone that works here! You're all wonderful from reception to management and everything in between.

I have only had our vehicle in there twice so far, but very impressed with how they have treated me and my vehicle. They are careful not to do more things than or recommended or necessary, and they communicate extremely well. Both Mike and George make the whole process simple and enjoyable. Their prices are very reasonable.Update as of November 2023:George, Michaela and the entire staff are very knowledgeable and take time to explain everything to the customer. If requested, they will always show you the dirty filter, the leaky strut, or whatever else they have found. Honesty is the best policy, and they adhere to that very nicely. I think they are very reasonable in their charges compared to other auto maintenance shops that I have been to in the past. They are an independently owned small shop, so they aren t influenced by a large parent company. They will also give you a ride home and pick you up if necessary.Service: Oil change

Ive taken my vehicles to gibbs automotive for some time now i can honestly say that im not just a number at gibbs auto. From the receptionist to the mechanics and George himself have all been very hands on through this process and knowing that my cars are my office they understand the urgency behind the repairs and ive come to know them personally and this is rare in buisness today. It must be a massive job to get To know your customers personally and then there is the work that gets done with high quality work and never have to worry about your car its in the best hands with gibbs automotive. I came here to get my car repaired after being treated horribly and ripped off after being stuck in a bad situation with my car disabled and towed to a different shop. The service here and at One Stop Automotive was NIGHT AND DAY! Makayla in the office was very friendly, helpful and upfront about the costs associated with each of the possible issues. I am so glad I decided to have my car moved here after that bad experience and I could not have been happier with my choice. I recommend this place to all of my friends and family! I can trust the mechanics to recommend services with integrity and not pressure to upsell me on any other services that are unnecessary. They are pretty busy so make sure to plan ahead if possible up to a week.

Great service and attention to detail! Mechanic took extra time to explain what was found and the plan to address issues. We brought the car there a couple for an intermittent stalling issue amongst other issues. They could not figure that issue out. It had gotten worse and this time they found a torn air intake boot (hose). He called and told me the part was $395. Now he may have meant total but he didn't say that explicitly. I looked up the part and found it at the nissan parts website for $118. I called back and he stated that the part at the dealership was 169 and total cost was 395. The part was 118 at a 25% discount so would have been $147. I don't mind some markup as there is labor to go get the part. So I approved the work. The car runs great.Service: Auto engine diagnostic
