Mike and his team at Desert Rat were great with my diesel auxiliary tank install. Super attentive and helpful and efficient shop. Would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for work on their vehicle. I will definitely use this shop again for any future work.

Service and installation was second to none. These guys go above and beyond to help their customers. Parts we ordered and delivered in a timely manner and they were precise in their research on exactly what to install for my year/make/model. I ll be back to lift my 2nd rig!

Brian and the crew at the Palo Verde shop really know their stuff. From the first phone call, I was treated with respect and given full undivided attention to ensure that I purchased the right parts for the job. That extra effort went a long way. They installed a ReadyLift leveling kit and a fresh set of 35x11.50r20 Toyo Open Country AT3 s on my 2021 Chevy LT Trail Boss, and did an awesome job. I recommend them for all of your off roading needs. PS: Call them first before you buy anything. They might save you some time and headache.

I had fraudulent activity on my credit card and someone tried to place an order for $500 at Desert Rat. Someone called me right after it happened to confirm that the order was fraud and reversed the charge. I've never been to Tucson and I don't know anything about off roading, but these guys have great customer service!

Bryan and the boys at the Palo Verde location hooked me up! I really appreciated the great communication and attention to detail by the team. They installed a roof rack, a roof top tent, and some replacement parts on my JK. Not the cheapest in town, but you get what you pay for!

Louie and team are knowledgable and did an excellent job in researching my '20 Ford Ranger bed rack and tent. I'd not only recommend Desert Rat Off Road but I'd insist my buddies get there work done there - I know Ill be going back!

Extremely profession and courteous. They walked me through the best options for the suspension I wanted and best for what I was looking for. They didn t try to add on any extras. In fact they saved me money with several options. Couldn t be happier with the outcome and service provided. I highly recommend the Desert Rat on Palo Verde.

My truck is a 18 Ram 3500 which I drive to most of the major body shops in Tucson for my company HailRepairAZ. I need my truck to look clean and noticeable. I put my trust in Louie and Desert Rat to install a 3" AEV Billsteen kit which corrects the inherent front end problems the Ram's have with camber while preserving the original ride. They polished it off with a beautiful set of 20" Fuel Blitz Platinum wheels and some 35"�12.50" Toyo AT2 Extremes. Louie made me an awesome deal on the whole package and I couldn't be happier with the end results...thanks guys!

I was looking for a vendor to purchase and install power running boards on my F-150. Desert Rat was my second stop because I didn t get a good sense from the first vendor I stopped at also in Tucson. Louie was very helpful on my initial visit to Desert Rat to inquire about pricing and he printed out my quote and answered my questions quickly and to the point. A few days later I called and set up an appointment for the install. I showed up for my appointment and George took care of me right away and a couple minutes after, the install technician was driving my truck into the bay. I was initially told by Louie when I called to make the appointment that install usually takes about 4 hours, so that s what I was expecting. On the day of my appointment, my ride cancelled so I figured I d be waiting that amount of time. When I told George that my ride had cancelled, unbeknownst to me he put two technicians on the job and had me out in just under 2 hours! I was amazed! These guys went above and beyond for me. That s what customer service is all about. The techs did an awesome job and my truck looks awesome! If you want quality work, great prices and stellar customer service, stop in and see these guys. They know how to get it done and done right. Thanks again Louie, George and the technicians! I ll be back.

Placed a $500 order, several days went by and I never got it or tracking. Contacted Desert Rat 7 days after the order and their reply was "should be there any day" waited 3 more days, nothing, email them again and they send a pic from fedex showing delivered. They sent it to the wrong address, they sent it to my billing address, instead of the shipping address I provided. I sent them back a pic of the billing and shipping address from the order details and that they are in fact, different addresses. The package was actually delivered 5 days prior to today and 2 days prior to the first time I emailed them and asked for a status update. $500 package sitting at a vacant house, outside in the rain and snow, waiting to be stolen, could have all been avoided IF they had shipped to the correct place, provided me with tracking info when shipped, OR even provided tracking when i asked 3 days ago. It wouldnt be very hard to attach tracking #'s to the order details once shipped, or at least email a shipping confirmation with tracking, almost every company in the 21st century does this, even very small ones.

Great experience working with the true professionals at Desert Rat. George and Louie were absolutely amazing to work with. They are very knowledgeable and don't hesitate to go out of their way to ensure you receive the service, product, and quality you expect. The technician does fantastic work too. I just can't say enough great things about these guys! Before I went to Desert Rat, I had gone to another off road shop in Tucson and had an absolutely horrible experience. The guy I was trying to work with was rude and just didn't seem like he was interested in helping me or any customer for that matter. That had been the second time and second person I had talked to at the other off road shop and I'd finally had enough and walked out which turned out to be the best decision. Desert Rat will always be my "go-to" place for all my off road and accessory needs from here on out. Louie and George even got me set up with Enterprise Rental so I could get into a rental car for the day and run errands around Tucson while my truck was being worked on. These guys and their technicians are top-notch professionals and understand excellent customer service, great product, and quality workmanship. Thanks Louie and George!

Cant say enough great things about the folks at Desert Rat! Had a Carli Suspension kit installed and everyone at the shop was excellent, from helping me figuring shipping directly to the shop to getting the truck in and completed quickly. Would recommend this shop to anyone and everyone!

This wonderful establishment with incredibly knowledgeable people fixed our 1992 Toyota 4runner. The rear end had collapsed due to the shocks failing and the upper control arms and the sway bar were broken in the process. Sean knew where to get the parts immediately and the work done was far and away an improvement on the overall handling and ride than I had experienced with this vehicle prior.I can't recommend these guys highly enough. If you got an issue with a 4x4 suspension, don't hesitate and go see em.

First off Louie is the only rep/tech that I use cause he's simply the best. He's not just a sales rep he's also an extremely knowledgeable tech that has great taste in mods but also listens to the customer and what they want to use their rig for. Out of all the 4x4 shops I've been to all over the country Desert Rat on Palo Verde is the only shop that doesn't try and upsell you on everything. They give me prices that beat any online price I could ever get. They offer fair and professional installation that's fast. And they're willing to help you with your build plans even if you don't spend a dime. If you go anywhere else you've warned because they're the best and everyone else just doesn't measure up.

Sean and the mechanics team were Great. Sean is knowledgeable and honest.We ordered a 3" lift kit and Toyo tires. Came in on schedule and we set up a time for install. Everything was installed and done correctly.If you need anything offroad go to these guys. Don't go to the other company in town that has a number and 2 letters in their name.Desert Rat is countless times better.Thanks for a job well done.

Desert Rat turned my 4Runner into my dream vehicle! Sean was extremely informative and made the process extremely easy. He introduced me to Toyo Open County tires which work beautifully with my lift. The technician treated my truck like his own, and I couldn t recommend Desert Rat more!

I ordered something from them online. It showed they had one in stock, but when Ryan went to pull it, it had sprouted legs and walked away! No worries, Ryan had excellent customer service, showed me multiple options, and was a great problem solver. I was very happy with the outcome. I was lucky enough to wander across this place by accident while waiting to have my tires installed next door at Jack Furrier. I had been trying to get some accessories for my 2019 truck and this was the only place in the Tucson area that could find the items that I was looking for. Not only were the prices great, they got the parts in quickly and getting an appointment to get them installed was super easy.Louis and his guys are professional and extremely knowledgeable about the products that are available for your truck or off-road vehicle. Do yourself a favor and make this your first (and last) stop instead of wasting your time and money anywhere else.

Took my 2007 Toyota Tacoma in for some work. Was greeted by the friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The staff worked on my vehicle tirelessly. They were honest about price, and all cost, I never felt hustled, just 100% honesty.Their profesional expertise from the sales representative to the technicians even discovered and fixed a persistent issue with the truck that the experts at the Toyota dealer could not figure out after 3yrs. The truck rides as if I just bought it brand new. I could not ask for a better experience. What an amazing crew.Heck, when George saw how long I was waiting for a ride while they worked on my truck he even gave me his lunch.Thank you for making my truck fun to drive again.

Recently had a rhino rack and roof top tent installed here, awesome service. Louie and all the guys down there were very knowledgeable about all there products. I dropped off my 4 runner right before a camping trip and they had it ready to go in just over a day. Definitely recommend this location.

Awful customer service.Had some cash to spend and went looking for some gear for my 4x4 (big tires, winch, springs, shocks, lockers, the whole nine yards) and was met with snobby attitude at the counter. Guy working there could barely be bothered, rolled his eyes and answered in about half a second "We don't have anything that will fit your truck". Made me feel like I was imposing on his web surfing/napping behind the counter...This was interesting because on the phone yesterday they were cool, and said bring it on down and we will get you set up. Rather than deal with snobs I just left. Won't be back.*********Update********Ray saved the day! Had a bad experience at the Palo Verde Desert Rat location and after having a bad experience with another 4x4 shop in town i went against my gut and gave Desert Rat a second chance. Ray was awesome to work with and made my experience a very positive one. I am very happy with my purchase and will definitely be back.Thank you Ray, for all your help my friend! Turned my whole week around!!!

I'm happy to be a loyal customer with desert rat. The staff is always attentive, you can tell they want to go the extra mile all the time. I have been a loyal customer for more than 2 years. I trust them fully and so should you. If you visit them , ask for George or Louie , great guys and they will make sure you are well taken care of. Only issue I have, I wish I can obtain more cash to burn at that place. J.e.e.p, Just empty every pocket. Right! Keep up the good work guys.

Absolutely the best. I originally brought my JK Wrangler to the 22nd and Kolb location because I was getting some death wobble. They were pretty booked up but Ray was going to try and fit me in on Saturday because my Jeep really needed some attention. It was getting worse and the guys told me their location on Palo Verde had some availability. I rushed there after work and Louie stayed with me longer than he needed to to get me set up. They got me a fresh set of tires, corrected my death wobble, and made my Jeep drive better than it did the day I bought it. I got a great deal on tires to boot. I m new to Tucson and this was a stellar experience. Everyone I interacted with treated me like family. I ll definitely be back. Thank you to Louie, Ray, and the whole crew, including the guys who fought all my New England rust in that suspension. You guys are awesome.

I was very happy with the customer service if this establishment. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile and asked if we needed any help looking for anything. The two guys at the front were very knowledgeable and kind and were able to answer our questions. I'm giving this place a 4 star only for the fact that there are no prices on anything... maybe that's common in a 4x4 store? Other than that I felt like they had a good stock of items. I would recommend this place.

Louie and the Desert Rat staff were very helpful and knowledgable. They were able to squeeze me in same-day for an alignment on my newly lifted vehicle and went above and beyond to resolve an issue with my trackbar. I would highly recommend this professional shop for your off-road needs.

Fantastic off road shop with a great staff and amazing mechanics!I took my LJ here to prevent my Jeep's shakes and rattles from leading to a roll, as well as a pesky check engine light that kept coming back and some other more minor stuff. Sean walked me through the process, asked informed questions, and clearly had a lot of knowledge about Jeeps and 4x4s in general. Desert Rat mechanic Justin was able to diagnose all my problems and identify a couple issues that needed some attention sooner rather than later, and even took the time to physically show me what he was talking about. I was given the range of options to fix the problems and the benefits of going with one over another, but I wasn't pressured to take the most expensive route...and since money's a bit tight at the moment I had to consider the bottom line. Sean, Justin, and Justin's assistant Andrew worked with me to fix my Jeep's problems within my budget, and I can honestly say my Jeep drives better now than when I bought it!I fully recommend Desert Rat! l'll definitely be bringing my Jeep back any time I need some work done, and for all the upgrades I'm eyeing for the future I've done my own car work in the past, and I'm pretty picky about where I take my vehicles, but I won't hesitate to come back to Desert Rat!

So this trip wasn't what I had in mind, but after Larry H Miller Ram failed to correct a recall item while I was out of town, Desert Rat's folks drove over to the dealership, picked up the truck, and brought it back to their shop and fixed it within a 24 hour turn-around time. They clearly know lifted trucks better than the dealership, will do business with again. Very impressed.
