Be wary of this shop.I brought my vehicle by for an issue with my AC.I was given an elaborate explanation of how the repair occurs, quoted $2700, and tried to immediately make an appointment for the following week.The issue was the AC compressor failed.$100 for a AC compressor and an hour of my time, AC was working fine.This shop is dishonest and gave an exorbitant quote before even looking at the vehicle.Employ at your own risk.

Honest, fair shop. I do some minor maintenance on my vehicles, so I m not completely unknowledgeable but I do understand my limitations. With that being said, I tend to dumb myself down when going to a new mechanic just to test their integrity. It becomes very clear very quickly which shops are attempting to prey on unknowledgeable customers, particularly women.I went to another shop about a month back to diagnose an intermittent sound & was told that I needed new sway bar links in the front & an axel seal. I know enough to crawl under my car and give a good tug on those sway bar links, to realize that they had no play and were totally fine. The other shop was trying to pull a fast one on me to the tune of $1,200. I went to D&D for a second opinion and was told that the push connections on my plastic undercarriage cover had come out and was causing my tire to rub against it when doing a tight turn. I felt kind of stupid that I didn t realize that myself, but grateful that I found an honest shop finally. I will definitely be back in the future when I need to take my vehicle in. Took my car in for brakes heard a little squealing and am at 90k miles. Turns out brakes are good, no charge. Super honest shop.

I have done business with D&D for a while after moving back to Tucson. I had a check engine light on for over 2 years because no one at the places I went in Colorado could find the problem. The young man that helped me at D&D was very helpful and explained everything to me. I got through through emissions and finally, my engine light is off!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Hi All, barry bovino here. My engine light stayed on for a few days. Decided to go to an independent repair shop rather than the dealer I usually go to. Checked around and noticed D&D Auto had a huge amount of 5 star reviews. This was good enough for me so took my 4 wheeler in for a check-up and repair.Boy-O-Boy am I glad I did. These guys did the diagnostic, repaired a whole bunch of stuff and cleaned the years of accumulated gunk out my carburetor, then test drove until satisfied. Everything was completed all under 4 hours. And, the price was half what I would have paid at my dealer.I am allergic to BS so you can trust me when I say this shop and it's crew are absolutely fantastic. Not your average "you're low on energon cubes" shop. They're honest, dependable and upfront about everything from the beginning. While I do perform a fair amount of the maintenance and repairs on my vehicles, there have been times where I've lacked the knowledge, equipment and process on how to perform the fix....that's where D&D Automotive shines through. Dave explained what the issue(s) is/are and provided an honest explanation on what was needed to resolve it; the technicians then performed their magic. Highly recommended as a truly wonderful place to bring your vehicles when they're misbehaving.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I have 1999 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner original owner the truck has 250,000 miles and was in need of repairs. I was looking for a good Toyota repair shop near me so after researching i found D&D Automotive after reading reviews. I knew what most of my problems were with the truck D&D replaced my rack and pinion,ball joints were replace control arms and bushings were replace and several oil and transmission leaks were fixed. My brakes were repaired and radiator flushed along with my transmission fluid replace with new filter and gaskets this process took a few days and i was in contact with Dave who updated me on my tuck status daily. The work that D&D performed was excellent the mechanic did a great job and when the final bill came it was less than i thought it would be I'm very happy and i would recommend this shop i will continue to use them in the future.Service: Steering & suspension replacement

Really great service! I m from out of town and I had problems with my battery. Someone suggested the shop to me and they were great! I think Dave is the owner, I met him and he got his team to help me so fast! Everyone there was really kind. I will definitely be back again! They re also affordable and they will not BS you. :)

I had a check engine issue for a long time that other mechanics and the Toyota dealership could not figure out, and it was costing me $$$. D&D Auto pinpointed the problem that no one else could find, and fixed it. Car passed emissions and runs like new. Been meaning to write this review for some time now. Great place to take your vehicle. I have had my rear main seal replaced, the clutch replaced, as well as other general maintenance. My daughter bought an older van to turn into a camper. The first mechanic she took it to couldn t fix it, but claimed they did. Unfortunately she took it there 2 more times with the hope that they would fix it. She spent well over $1000 for nothing. After the third time, my husband found D&D thankfully. They found exactly what was wrong and fixed everything. Now it is running great! Thank you!

The short side of the story is, that I was referred to D&D Automotive by a friend. Just to let you know I hate taking my car to the mechanic just as much as going to the Dentist. So when I got my new (used) car I went to the shop. Even though there was some miscommunication. Dave M took care of me and put my mind at ease. The service manager went above and beyond to make sure I knew what was going on. They took care of my car. And made in a great time. Came in for an oil change and that went fine. Mentioned a code that was popping up and went with the solution suggested. Waited a day for the part to come in and then came back to the business where it got installed quickly, no charge and the code wiped clean.This shop is always friendly and informative, highly recommend!Service: Oil change

*** Updating my review post discussion with D&D rep. Issue was a Semantics issue when scheduling as to what "drop off" vs "Will drop and wait" scenario. Do give them a try as they do care !Oil change Appt made for 0800 3 days out. Asked if can do within 2 hrs - Yes we will. Came back just under 2 hrs. Car not even touched. Tech noted it may be done by end of day. Beware if you really want / need service. Won't go back !

So far, so really good. This was my first time using D and D, and they didn't disappoint. I was able to get in quickly for an appointment, and they gave my Fiat a complete inspection, time-up, and oil change. The price of their service was a pleasant surprise, and their front office guy is pleasant and spot on. I will definitely be back.

My A/C crapped and it was 48 degrees celcius. I was cooking eggs on my dash!!Drove over 3hrs to D&D.Turned out it was my a/c compressor. They did a complete a/c over haul and now I'm chilling again.Great company, great job for a fair price.

I've been very happy with the work that D& D auto has done on our cars. They are honest and reliable. When I had a vehicle that would cost more to repair than the car was worth, they told me that instead of trying to just get more work for themselves. They have reasonable prices & work on your car when your appointment is scheduled.

They caught my truck on fire and returned it to me without saying a word. The mechanic neglected to tighten the gasoline connection under the hood and let me drive away without even mentioning anything about the testing involving the gas line and resulting fire. After I drove it home and was looking around under the hood, I was lucky to notice what had happened. They endangered me, my grandson and my wife without even an apology for what they caused.

Of all the shops I've taken my Ford truck to, I love this one! The staff is efficient and friendly, and prices are reasonable. I recommend D & D Automotive to all my family and friends, and you should give them a try too. Who knows, you might become a loyal customer like me! :)

D&D is an incredible place! They re extremely honest which is very hard to come by in the automotive repair industry. I was referred to another place to get my alignment done. This place tried to charge me $1500 for stuff my car didn t need. I took it to D&D and they said all it needed was just an alignment. They put my car on the machine so I could look at everything myself. Very nice people! I highly recomend this place if you need maintenance done on your vehicle! Especially for those who don t know much about cars.

I recently brought my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek in for a scheduled oil change. I was told it take an hour or so. My car was ready not even 40 minutes later. I was so impressed by the quick service. I am used to waiting an hour or two.I was also impressed with the customer service! I am a new customer and was last in D & D Automotive in December of 2018. Yet 8 months later, Eric remembered who I was when I brought my car in for the oil change.All the employees greeted me with "good morning" and were very friendly.I highly recommend D & D Automotive, you won't be disappointed!!

I called on Monday afternoon saying that I had a check engine light on. They said to bring my car in the next day. I dropped it off in the morning (8 am). They called to let us know the problem (packrats! UGH!) and give me an estimate. The estimate was $300-$500 and the final charges were less than that. I had my car back by 2 pm. It was a very professional job, very well done. I am definitely using them again.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I came here trying to get my alignment fixed. I am not from Tucson and had trouble finding a shop that could work on my ford e350. They explained to me what was going on with my vehicle and fixed it for a fair price. This place is NOT trying to milk you for money. I recommend D&D s for people who need vehicle maintenance and don t want to worry about getting taken advantage of! Thanks D&D!

Made a appointment to get about 700.00 worth of work done and they had no record of my appt. They could not even find the quote they did the week before. I guess business is good and they don't need mine.On 7/21 I received a call from David and he expressed concern and offered a discount. The call showed me they do care and I am hiving them more stars.

A mechanic shop you can trust. They were met with all sorts of unforeseen challenges on our water pump job and it took way more work than it should have, but they held to the number they quoted us. I highly recommend.

D&D Automotive is the only place I trust with my cars! On numerous occasions they could have inflated a bill yet fixed my problem for a modest sum. These guys are honest, dependable and punctual. I recommend them without reservation.

My family and I have been coming here for years. Always very helpful w car repair issues. Willing to explain in detail, what's needs to be done and how much $$.They also let you know how urgent each repair is. "Same day service is always a option. You can leave your car overnight and leave a key in a locked box w a note of what's wrong.Very helpful if you work late

I won't ever take my cars anyplace else for repairs again!! The staff is SO professional and polite. They're honest and thorough and don't try to sell you things you don't need. We've taken both of our cars and our daughters car here and have been super happy with the repairs, the prices, and how fast they had our vehicles ready.
