JJ and his crew of experienced technicians have been doing all the repairs on my vehicle for over six years now. JJ is a wonderful and honest man. All of his work is of the highest quality and totally guaranteed. I always know that my Chevy Silverado Z71 is in good hands at Covenant Automotive Repair & Service. I highly recommend JJ to take as good of care for your vehicle as he always has of mine. Also, a big call out and thank you to JJ's Service Technician, Andreas for his skill and knowledge! Overall, Great work at very fair prices.

Would not take my vehicles anywhere else. Me and my grandmother have been using this shop for years, I took my 06 Dodge Stratus here for repairs before buying a Saab. JJ and his mechanics have always provided great customer service and good quality work while getting the job finished super quick. My vehicles have always been done same day no matter how busy they are, and they are ALWAYS busy! I even brought my Dodge in once with no appointment for a check engine light and they were able to squeeze me in and get it to me next day with no hassle. My car would've broken down had I not taken it there when I did. They also get the best quality parts for a reasonable price and have installed parts that I provided with no markup which is great. I trust them 100%, very very honest and hard-working people.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Stopped in without appointment to check body codes on my Hhr ss. JJ did it with a smile, and said bring it back after a few miles and he would check for active codes again. COVENANT has my vote for excellence.

JJ and his team have great service and do their best to get you in and out quickly. They are honest about cost. As the driver of an older model car I appreciate knowing when something may need to be addressed in a future repair.

I moved to Tucson 1 year ago. I tried several garages but I was not happy with them. I was talking to someone and asked if they could recommend a good garage. They said they used Covenant Auto and was very happy with the service they received there. So I thought I would give it a try. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation and was also very happy with the service I received too. If you are looking for a good garage, please stop in and give them a try.7/19/21I am still using Covenant Auto and I am very happy with the service I receive there. I too, cannot say enough good about them. They are honest, fair, and their prices are reasonably. Absolutely Fantastic! Honest, Reliable, Experienced, Personable. I have to say that I really appreciate people who are good at their job and like doing it. Mike fixed a head gasket for me 2 years ago on one of my vehicles and I haven't had any problems since. I live far enough away that a round trip takes me about an hour and a half, but I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else. It is hard to find people you can trust, but with Mike I know he will get things done right. He has worked with me on scheduling and always gives me plenty of options after an expert and thorough diagnosis. Thank you Mike for being so good at what you do!

I called on Monday and got in on Wednesday at 9:30am. I needed a full synthetic oil change and filter. Plus, replace cabin air filter and windshield wipers. I thought the cost was great at $158!! J.J. was great customer service, even when he wasn't feeling well. It was all done in an hour and they had to have parts delivered I think twice!! I definitely will bring my car back here!!

I have been searching for an honest mechanic in Tucson. I've taken my vehicles to places like Midas and found out (the hard way) that their main goal is to get as much money out of you as they possibly can. They try to get you to replace parts that don't need replacing before fixing the main problem. I took my car to Mike the Mechanic and had the best experience in service and pricing. He is an honest mechanic and did what three other mechanics before him couldn't. He fixed my car and it is now running better then ever. If you are looking for an honest mechanic I recommend bringing it to Mike.

Changed the valve cover gasket, spark plugs, and rear cam seals on my Taco, quickly and efficiently. The Taco s enjoying her new spark plugs and running much better. Owner was very pleasant and the job was affordable and punctual. Will definitely come here again. Also helped me with a little fuel filter mishap the day before. Thanks guys!Also loved the Easter message on the front window! Christ is Risen!

I've been coming here for several years since finding these guys. Honest hard-working mechanics with integrity are so very rare these days. Ask for JJ. Can't say enough good things about the owner and the staff at this shop. 5 out of five stars highly recommended.

Covenant Automotive is highly recommended for all you vehicle(s) needs. My vehicle kept misfiring constantly. JJ & his team were able to pinpoint the problem rather quickly. Also had an oil change & tires rotated while waiting. Very reasonable prices. Hand down, Covenant Automotive is the best in town. Fast, reliable service, & excellent customer service!! I ve had nothing but positive experiences at Covenant. These are good, honest mechanics. I ve taken all of vehicles here and have had pre-purchase inspections done on vehicles. They get everything done in a timely manner and for a fair price. It s hard to find a good, honest mechanic and I feel I ve hit the jack pot finding this place.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Battery, Oil change

I have my Maserati and Toyota serviced here. Mark is top rated mechanic and went out of the way to fix a part that was needed so I would not have to go to Phoenix and spend big bucks. Great service, repairs and partsfirst class and he even installed parts that I provided with no mark up or hassle. How great is that. If your looking for great service, look no further.I've read some of the other reviews when the shop was called 'Mike the Mechanic' but the new owner is Mark and it is a whole different shop now. If you had a problem before with 'Mike' try it now that Mark is theOwner and I believe you will be pleasantly surprised.

A friend referred me to Mike when my Buick needed work. He is an honest mechanic that won't overcharge or inflate his prices. His appraisals and fees are more than reasonable. I like that he explains what is wrong with the vehicle in simple understandable terms. Mike and his team go out of their way for customer satisfaction. We won't take our vehicles anywhere else!

We have had Covenant Automotive work on both of our vehicles for a few years now . Mark & his crew always treat us fairly & get the job done right , without trying to add other repairs that aren't needed at the time . A week ago , my wife's car broke down @ dawn while on her way home from work. She works overnight & would need her car that night . We called Mark , explained our needs, & the timeline we had . He had a tow truck there within 20 minutes & we followed in my car to his shop on Speedway Blvd.When we got there , he already had the part we thought needed, & ran a diagnostic to confirm . We left & about mid-afternoon he called to say it was fixed & ready to be picked up. Even though there were other vehicles there to be repaired , they got them serviced too . Did I also mention it was a Friday ? It was . Thank you Mark & the Covenant Automotive crew for all you do. So I recommend this business for your automotive needs . They'll treat you fairly & honestly , & get you back on the road again.

I have taken my car here several times and I find I can truly trust that they will find the exact nature of the problem, And the car always runs great after having work done. However I am not pleased with the mark up on parts ! I have found myself being charged approx 2 1/2 times the cost of the part say at auto zone. I understand they like to make money on parts but I feel it should be kept reasonable otherwise it feels like getting ripped off.

Mike is awesome, my first experience with him was when he was able to identify and fix a problem with my car for about half the price as the shop that messed it up wanted to just look at the issue. Since than, I have had my car almost completely rebuilt mechanically by Mike. He is the most honest and fair mechanic I have known and has always stood by his work. If there's something wrong (which is almost never), he'll fix it too. I won't take mine or my girlfriend's car to anyone else.

Mike the Mechanic is great for classic cars too! I came by this shop about a year ago when my 1966 Mustang was having issues with overheating. Wes recommended that we install a larger fan and custom shroud for the radiator to help keep the car cool and it's worked like a dream since then. I've also been by a couple of other times for other issues: replacing the battery, replacing some electrical components, and even installing all new suspension (to include all the struts, control arms, springs, bushings, tie rods, sway bar, etc.). I have complete confidence that this shop will provide top quality service and I know that the employees are extremely competent in their craft. If you're looking for a place to get a simple maintenance like an oil change, or to get more complex work done to your car, I would definitely recommend Mike the Mechanic.

If you want to place that you can go and know that they are going to treat you well then this is the perfect place to go. Mike has done an extraordinary Lee fantastic job on my vehicle and treat her just as I treat her. They are reasonably priced and very competitive to earn your business. I will continue to bring my car here as well as future cars that I purchase.

I can't begin to describe how great this place really is. As a female, it's easy to feel taken advantage of whenever I go to any car repair shop, so often times I try to avoid these places if I can. However, my experience at Mike the Mechanic Automotive Repair and Service was nothing less than excellent. The vibe here is so genuine, just at the employees are. I've referred all of my female friends here that ever have issues with their vehicle, and this is the only place I will ever go to in Tucson for any car troubles!

I was a tourist in Tucson and just before I was scheduled to drive home, the check engine light came on. The code was for the camshaft positioning sensor. I went to Autozone and purchased parts and asked for a recommendation for a shop that could do the repairs. The first shop I went to said it would be two weeks before they could do the repairs, and the second one said it would be one week. I asked the second shop for a referral and they told me that they had heard good things about Covenant. I called Covenant and spoke with J.J. he said they were busy but would take a look at it and provide me with an estimate for the time and cost. I explained to him that I needed to return home that day, 300 miles away. He said they would get me right in. J.J. got my car looked at right away. J.J. showed me that the parts Autozone had sold me (for $145) were the wrong parts. He was able to find the correct parts and arranged for then to be delivered to Covenant within 30 minutes. A short time later, my car was fixed. J.J. didn't charge me any markup at all on the cost of the parts and only $30 for the repairs. The tech even took my car for a test drive to ensure it would run correctly and the code would clear. As J.J. told me, this is a Christian shop and they operate on Christian principles. He was straightforward and kind. My car ran great. I feel so blessed to have found this shop. I just wish I could bring them to New Mexico with me. Thanks again J.J. and crew!Service: Engine repair

Once again, Mark and his crew at Covenant have gone above and beyond for me. They installed a new starter just before closing on a Friday with no advance notice from me and had my vehicle back to me in under an hour. When the part failed, they came to my house at closing time, and fixed it the next day, all under warranty and with no surprises. They go the extra mile to take care of their customers and stand behind their work 100%. Thank you!

I can not say enough good things about JJ. This guy is the most respectable and caring guy I have ever met in the automotive field. As a woman, I tend to get messed over when it comes to having car trouble and finding someone that will not take advantage of me. Especially, because I know nothing about what's going on with my car. But, JJ was true and honest with me, he really helped me understand what the issues were with my car and he stayed true to his word about not giving me the runaround or trying to dig deep into my pockets. I really appreciated the business and treatment that I received and Covenant has a lifetime customer in me. Mike was open and honest with me about what went wrong with my truck. Within about three hours of breaking down on the side of the road, he had my truck towed to his shop, repaired, and back on the road. The price was very fair, and there was no fast talk or confusing lingo when he described what had happened. Things have been great with the truck since then.

We have a multi-vehicle household including an old SUV. Mike does all that work on them that I don't do myself or get done under new vehicle warranty. He's done major repairs & drivetrain work on the SUV & it's all been good. Good small shop service, you can discuss the details with them, and they return your phone calls.
