Buck's is the place to go for automotive repairs. I own a fleet of trucks and they do all the work for my roofing company. They are always thorough, they don't try to sell me the moon, and they do the work when they say will do the work! I have enjoyed them so much, I also use them for the work on my restored 1969 Camaro. Trust me, I am picky on who touches that car! They know the love I have for that car and treated it with kid gloves! I am grateful to have an honest automotive center on my side! Thanks Buck's! Keep up the great work and we'll see you soon.Services: Transmission, Tires, Auto battery replacement, Steering & suspension repair, Tire rotations, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes

I believe these guys are amongst the small handful of trustworthy shops in Tucson. I've been coming here for years now and they continue to maintain a high level of satisfaction from both myself and the customers I refer to them. If you decide to give these guys a try, keep in mind that they are very busy and will always do their best to help you with your situation as soon as they are able. It's worth the trouble because it's an honest business.A couple of perks that make it nice is the waiting room that is separate from the main building and the shuttle service that will take you home and/or bring you back to the shop.

I've been very impressed by the honesty, professionalism, quality of work, and the reasonable prices offered by Buck's team. Their support of the community has also been impressive. Here is a local business that you can feel good about supporting, knowing that your vehicle is in good hands. Win-win. Keep up the great work Buck's!

I've been extremely satisfied with Buck's reliable service for 12 yrs now. This shop was recommended to me by AAA when I got my pre-owned Honda CR-V. Prices are reasonable, quality of work top notch they are consistently GREAT people to deal with! The best!

Bucks performed a significant repair requiring a top end engine teardown to correct General Motors selectable cylinder technology quality issues. Work was performed in a very timely manner with excellent followup. I would strongly recommend the shop for any major as well as typical minor maintenance efforts. Thanks.

I normally don't leave reviews, but Buck's deserves it. I had driven my 2011 Toyota Rav4 from North Carolina to Arizona over the summer and wanted to make sure my car was okay after the trip. The original shop I took it to performed suspension work but was unable to realign my wheels stating I need new front struts which would cost an additional $2500 of work. I immediately took my car to Buck's for a second opinion based on a recommendation I had from a friend from Tucson, and they were able to get my wheels realigned after replacing some alignment bolts due to rusting. Buck's provided great service, the front desk was courteous, and they had a convenient shuttle service that allowed me to get back to work that day. I will be taking my car to them for all future maintenance as well as referring them to all of my friends and family that need vehicle work in Tucson.

I've been taking my vehicles to Buck's for over six years and I simply can not write enough. They are the best. The bottom line is that the one thing you want in your mechanic is trust. I trust Buck's.

They charged $770 for a simple heater hose replacement on ford f150. The part they replaced was $170 at the local ford dealership including taxes, however these guys charged almost 35% markup on it and the service manager proudly admitted to that. So about $230 for the part itself. And $280 dollar on labor and all kinds of other charges including diagnostics, labor on charging coolant, for a total of $770. After consulting a few mechanics, I found out it should not have been more than 400 and with one hour of Simple plug-and-play work. I wont recommend anyone this place unless you know how much is really gonna cost you.

I'm only sorry I've waited months to write a review. First time I'd used Buck's, told my van's transmission couldn't be fixed, there was a misunderstanding, I was really upset & in despair, preparing to sell it for parts. Mike the owner went above and beyond to not only smooth things over but to help me with a way to finance a brand new transmission with a great warranty. Didn't take long to get it, either. Good people, great service and quality work. I have recommended them to others.

Absolutely horrible. Brought my car in for heater problem. Could not afford everything they claimed it needed but after asking what could be done to just to get the car warm I told them ok. $450 later the car still blows cold. No change. In addition whoever worked on my car broke the glove box. I figured they were looking for the manuel. I noticed my umbrella was on the front seat so I opened the glove box to put it back in only to have it drop down on the floor. Very sneaky and dishonest. Will never recommend Bucks.

Incedibile service. I thought it would take a day to get to my tire but they had it repaired perfectly in less than 2 hours. The price was so low I was looking for a mistake on the bill. Profesional and courteous service and followed up to make sure everything was fine. Highly recommended Bucks.

This place deserves more than 5 stars. They got my car in right away and fixed. Honestly goes a long way and trust this place with my car. They have a shuttle also and the gal is great. All in all, nice people to do business with.

This was the first time I received service (oil change) on my 2020 CRV, and the customer service, as well as the actual work on my car, was excellent. I am a stickler regarding "good" customer service, and I give Buck's a 100%.

This was the first time going to Bucks Automotive. Took my older Ford F-150 to them to look at some oil leaks and transmission fluid leak. Also they looked at my A/C to find out why no air was coming from the dash. They gave me a diagnosis of what it was, a time frame and cost. Troy was great to work with. They got my truck back to me in the time they said and for the exact cost they said. I ve had it back for a few weeks now and no leaks are showing up and the A/C works great. If you are looking for very good work for a good price, go to Buck s. I am telling all of my friends.

Took car in for Mike to re surface rotors as i was having an incredibly bad shake when braking and i just had the rear brakes and pads replaced at Firestone Auto which did amazing. So i come in to drop my car off he already talks to me like i don't know whats wrong with my car and like i'm stupid when he cant even stand up or look at me when i'm talking absolutely no respect here, i knew it was the front rotors which bucks had "replaced" (they just resurface your old rotors and charge you for new ones). I then get a call a couple hours later stating its the rear rotors that need to get re surfaced well i got these done at another shop about 1 month ago so i know it wasn't that but they have a warranty so i took it to firestone where i give them the diagnosis sheet bucks gave me and sure enough a couple hours later i get a call stating the front rotors are the issue and are even out of parallel!(the ones bucks had replaced and said were perfectly fine, and btw they just resurface old rotors they won't give you new rotors but they sure will charge you for them) which was causing the vibrations and something bucks didn't even notice. i replaced my rotors there and pads at firestone and sure enough car drives as smooth as butter and is $100 cheaper down the street no more vibrations. All in all bucks employees are very arrogant and think they know it all and if you tell them you will do it yourself or take it to another shop they will take it personal and give you wrong information and try charging you for something that did not need to get fixed at all. BTW rear rotors perfectly fine did not need resurfacing at all. IDK how you guys are in business if you cant even find an obvious issue with front rotors YOUR BUSINESS REPLACED.oh please give me a call as well buck id love to talk to you :)

Finding a new mechanic can be a challenge, but I'm grateful to have been referred to Buck's.After having taken my vehicle to another repair shop, I came to Buck's for a second opinion. They gave a much more honest and transparent assessment of what I needed, and then went to work immediately. They were very fast and communicative. I'll definitely be taking my vehicle back to them if an issue arises.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Sometime in 2021 "Great bunch of guys. So far not disappointed one bit. Professional, kind and courteous. They even sent out a thank you letter for choosing them. Will be going back soon for more work."2023After dumping about 8k total from 3 of our vehicles combined including insurance claims in a short span of a couple months. All 3 vehicles have issues within the 1st couple days of getting them back. One of them noticeably could of been prevented from taking back for reassessment and extra repairs if negligence in the preventative measures were taken. So I decided not to return for business since I contacted them in regards to my concerns and heard nothing back. Nice bunch of guys like I said before, but business can take a dive if customer relations and communication isn't a culmination in their vision to continue to be that pinnacle option over their larger corporate counterparts. I hope it is just me feeling this way.

Nathan researched with the Buck s crew how to best solve a computer issue on my 1997 Volvo. Unable to find the right specialty software he offered suggestions for what to do & where to go next all at no charge. Thank you for your excellent customer service!

They were extremely helpful with my emissions problems and even took my car to be tested for me. They are by the book and super knowledgeable, and I have already been recommending them to other people.

Buck's Automotive is the place to go for large 4x4 vehicles. I have a lifted Excursion that has been heavily modified and upgraded, making it a real beast. Buck's always goes above and beyond to ensure the right parts are used and the installations are top quality. For this recent visit, I needed front-end 4x4 work done, as well as new rotors, brakes, and tie rods. Buck's service team called to inquire if I wanted aftermarket parts or preferred OEM. They suggested sticking with original Ford parts despite the higher cost, since my vehicle components were already quite robust. I trust Buck's judgement, so I followed their advice.I appreciate Buck's shuttle service for customers when needed. They do their best to fit you in quickly if an emergency repair comes up. The mechanics work hard to get vehicles back on the road as fast as possible.Overall, Buck's Automotive has the best mechanics and service writers I've encountered. Their expertise with large 4x4 trucks and quality customer service keep me coming back.BUCK'S IS A 5 STAR SERVICE CENTER THAT IS TRUSTWORTHY AND DEPENDABLE. Buck's is recommended by local mechanics and service departments. I have two late model vehicles that need lots of TLC. The service writers in the front office are the best in the business and they are backed up with a service department that has a full staff of master mechanics and technicians that will have your vehicle back on the road ASAP. I SEND ALL FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO BUCK'S and I only trust them to work on my vehicles.Services: Electrical repair, Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Auto maintenance, Battery, Oil change

My family has used Buck's Automotive for more than 15 years. They are honest, trustworthy and treat our '67 F100 pickup and the other vehicles we have owned as if they were their own. I can count on them to finish the repairs when they say, at the cost they estimate and be relied upon to only do and charge for the repairs requested. No surprises!. I strongly recommend Buck's - and it is a locally owned and run business!Services: Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repair, Exhaust, Auto battery replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine tuning, Tire rotations, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Brakes, Auto emissions testing, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance, Auto brake replacement, Battery, Oil change

4/13/2024 Update: Mike Nicholson, Owner, and his team are absolute gems. I continue to have consistently positive experiences - for over a decade! I recently had a gasket that was replaced and something went wrong a couple of weeks after as I was heading out of Tucson to Phx. Had it towed over to their shop Monday morning and they thoroughly inspected everything and reviewed records of prior repairs. Mike called and so kindly explained what needed fixed. Some of it was related to the prior repair. Mike took total responsibility for it and fixed everything at no charge and even fixed something that wasn t related that was over $600, gratis. I am so grateful for this team. In today s world of squeezing consumers for every dollar and passing the buck, this experience was refreshing and reassuring, but not surprising, because this kind of genuine customer service is the consistent ethic at Buck's. My 2003 Toyota with 235K miles gets exceptional care and I can sleep at night knowing they have my back.Update: Buck s continues to excel at friendly and personable customer service! My engine light came on. An intake gas something-or-another was leaking. What was notable is how Mike, the Service Manager took the time to explain what was happening and how they found it. It doesn t matter that I don t know what he was talking about but that I was respected and brought into the know as a valued customer.Aynsley is the shuttle driver. She is always professional and we have the greatest talks. She is a great fit for this team and for customers!I also want to give a shout-out to George, a mechanics who spent hours figuring out a noise several months ago. It was an enigma for sure. I was impressed with his persistence and keeping me updated.Mike Nicholson is the new manager - a couple of years now. He is a huge supporter of the community!I love sharing my experiences. Their customer service and education is enduring and car maintenance is one thing I don t have to stress about! Thank you Buck s!Update: had to give another shout out to Buck s Automotive for persisting on an issue and ultimately resolving it. The repair was made but there was still a noise. George, the mechanic decided to check every bolt and found it in a narrow space between/behind break pads (something like that). He was friendly and eager to solve the issue! Troy Rupp, the Service Manager got me in there quickly and kept me updated. The team at Buck s are always friendly and explain things in terms I can understand.

Like people, a company's character can't be fairly judged when things are going right. It's how the company reacts when things go wrong. TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!My 22 y/o daughter was driving home to KC from Tucson for a summer visit. She had the oil changed at a famous quick change franchise and as she got to her apartment, the car died. She did the research and had it towed to Buck's. The replaced the alternator and battery (which I'm currently discussing with the oil change place). She drove 10 hours and the car died again. Another tow and another shop led to another ($367) battery. 2.5 hours later, the car dies. We called a tow company and the tow guy figured out that a nut wasn't screwed on to the alternator tightly. I called Buck's and talked with Nathan. No denial conversation, nothing but empathy/sympathy for our situation and the entire phone call was about how they could make it right. While it most likely was an error on their part that contributed to the nightmare, it was handled with complete class and resolved to my satisfaction with no arguing, in fact Nathan first offered what I believed to be a fair resolution. I now have someone I trust to take care of my daughter.
