Great experience!!! Got my 4runners brakes estimated and done on a Saturday without an appointment. Hector was very nice and professional. Was honest about cost and there were no hidden fees/costs when I picked up my vehicle. Will definitely continue to come here for future work on my vehicle. Highly recommend!!

Had a great experience today at the BrakeMax on Thornydale . I called them and asked if there was an availability to have alignment done the day of. They were busy but made it happen.The manager was a pleasure to deal with. They got me in and out within an hour and a half on top of other work they already had.The technician John did a great job on my alignment. I will definitely let my friends and family know they are upfront and honest. 100% will be going back

Their quote for a new rack and pinion was better than the other two places I reached out to. they were able to get me in right away and had the work done by the next day. Great customer service and great quality of work.

These guys did more for us in one day then Firestone did for us in 3 years. They professionally addressed issues with our car, gave us a itemized list of issues that needed done and we're not bashful on being forward. Guys were honest and did excellent work.

I would definitely go back to this place. Mr. Acosta at BRAKEmax on Thornydale Road, was professional, friendly and kept me updated step-by-step with my battery issue. He explained things and had me on my way feeling safe. One of the best experiences with a car mechanic that I ve had in a very long time. 5 stars!

David and Hector explained the whole process, they we re professional and courteous. And the price was perfect! The work on my Saturn L300 was absolutely perfect. They cured my issues and it runs like the day I bought it. Cannot say enough good things about this location and the techs. I will use them for all of my repairs going forward. Finally a reputable repair facility.

a $59 oil change came out to $78 and add insult to injury. Made us wait two hours and 20 minutes to get it done. There was no update for any things they were supposed to double check my fluids completely ignored my son to give him updates of whatever it was going to take to get done Tell Hector he s lost the opportunity to get a lifetime customerUpdate: I spoke with Hector this morning he seems like a good guy I liked his offer to make things good going to give him another chanceServices: Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

It was good when he quoted me a price of 99 dollars plus tax for headlights restoration! I was like well the one location on Cortaro told me 80 dollars plus tax! The mgr honor that price right away and gave me extra 10 percent off the price! Hector was cool a mgr and I will definitely be going back to get work done!

If you want something done right and fast take it to these guys at BreakMax on Thornydale and Costco Drive in Tucson, AZ. Never had issues they re always friendly and I always get a nice discount. Big thanks to the guys over there. They got it down.

Wonderful customer service and honest work done on my truck. The prices for parts were reasonable (I looked them up and compared before I even went in to have work done).They took care of an overheating issue resulting from a faulty radiator cap from previous work done at no charge.I would recommend them!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto emissions testing

I had a good experience with Brake Max. They fixed an oil leak on my van, and also fixed a couple of other issues. Am happy with there work and they were very nice .

I would give 0 stars if I could. Rip off prices, incompetent staff. Was going to charge me $690 for a master cylinder for a 2011 Toyota Corolla. Plus their labor is $175/hr. When I went and got my car before they did anything, I asked why the master cylinder costs so much. He then said they don't get their parts from a parts store, they use WordPac. Then he said he could lower it to $499. After seeing that I still wasn't happy, he lowered it to $280 from a parts store.Don't go here. They don't call you back and they lie about when your car will be done.

Store manager, Hector, has been great to work with over many years. His customer service is top notch. This review has been edited from a 1 star to a 5 star to reflect his efforts in retaining an unhappy customer. I had an unpleasant experience with his assistant manager and ended up taking my car to another shop for repair simply due to customer service. Hector understands the importance of treating customers well regardless of the situation and I appreciate that. The guy deserves a raise :) I was planning on taking my business elsewhere, but I'll definitely give brakemax another shot next time I'm in need.

They did a phenomenal job on my car without taking advantage of me. I am Beyond thankful for David and his staff for going above and beyond including sending me will detailed pictures of what parts of my car needed servicing. DO NOT go to Precision Toyota of Tucson scammed me three time and overcharged me with unnecessary charges that did not required. Breakmax on Thornydale Honestly and whole heartedly is the best place in town to get services done!!!!!!Services: Transmission, Auto windshield repair, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

I went in as a last minute hoo-rah to get a family members vehicle aligned and 2 tires mounted. I believe the service advisor who helped me was named David, anyway, he was very accommodating, fair in the pricing and the service was top notch. I don't typically do business with chains, but they were so professional and helpful that they've earned a repeat customer!Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

I was very impressed with my vehicle pre purchase inspection. They were very thorough. It took much longer than I expected but they were very busy. Also. It would be unfortunate if you do raise the price to $60 from 40. Honest Review: Being new to Tucson, I was unsure of which mechanic shop to make my home. After having my car serviced here several times, I feel comfortable saying that I will continue bringing my car here for years to come.Their prices are honest and upfront and they get the job done very well. They help you get discounts when they can and they honor health/Frontline workers which is awesome.Overall, I am impressed with their honesty, willingness to educate/inform the customer, and how they make the effort to gain your trust. David was clear and made sure I understood the options and pricing before I approved. The team was great. they let David know if anything else was need and had a timely conversation on how to proceed. Also I had concerns about my A/C system. they looked into it and gave me a couple of options and pricing with which maintenance had priority. When I broke down outside the city I actually changed the place to be towed to based on the phone conversation I had with Hector. From the get-go, I appreciated his positive attitude & the fact that he would get me in that day - because I was traveling & literally stranded. The issue with my 2020 Subaru was a difficult one & one that should not have been, being that it only had about 42K miles on it, but Hector & his team of professionals did all they could to get us back on the road in a timely manner with the directive to get to a Subaru dealership as soon as possible. In the midst of a challenging time, they were courteous, helpful & friendly. I could not have happened upon a better place. Hector, the man who runs this shop, operates with a heart of integrity.

Would totally use them again on our way home to California from Mexico we broke down in Tucson .We got towed to brake max ,they replaced the started wire that was melted we were back on the road in 1 hour ! great customer service they took care of us ,you guys are awesome ! Thanks again !!

My car died in the parking lot of Brakemax. It was not a plan but fortunately that is where I ended up. I had planned on going to another site and was told they wouldn t help me for another 4 days. I walked in the staff helped me immediately. Hector and David were both extremely accommodating and helpful. My car had a new fuel pump and spark plugs within 18 hours.
