Bob is a passionate VW mechanic with unmatched local experience in classic VWs. You won't find a better guy to work on your classic VW. If your looking for a place with a fancy office and free water while you wait, this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for a no frills shop that is simply interested in getting your classic running in as top top shape as possible and a mechanic that is upfront, fair, and very detailed, then look no further.

Bob's bug Barn is the best place in Tucson, iv tried the other places and this guy beats them all.He has a very calm aura and he's an absolute gentleman he doesn't over price and he always does a perfect job his customer service is outstanding thank you Bob your a star

The best. My "new" 68 Bus was in sad shape, especially after a bad mechanic worked on it. Bob has a great way to teach one about what he will do, possibly, and what to expect. Then he asks you to come back after he determines what is happening and what he will do. He showed me the parts and what was wrong. I am so happy he fixed my Bus. The engine purrs, well sort of. It's a 68 Bus. Excellent work and extremely reasonable prices.

I went to Bob's Bug Barn to see if he had a used door to replace my beyond repair Beetle door. He had a lot of doors and took the time to check each one to make sure I got a good one that didn't have too much play in the hinges and that it was a good solid door. He then washed it prior to giving it to me. He could have pointed at the doors and told me to pick one (I wouldn't have checked the hinges, etc.). He is a real down to earth guy that is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and has very fair prices.

I met Bob when I took my 1979 VW Bug, Upon meeting him his VW mechanical knowledge / expertise was evident, when done with my car I immediately could tell the difference on how it performed, in short If you have a vintage VW Bob is the person you need. Bob is the Volkswagen Guru in Tucson, no kidding. If you want someone who can fix your aircooled obsession the first time, not the 2nd or 3rd time ( I hate that). He is very knowledgeable about aircooled technology and and knows what makes these cars, buses, and trucks tick. Bob's Bug Barn is a little hard to find location (right by the TEP generating station), but believe me, you won't be sorry. When you're tired of the other guy's games and high bills, go see Bob. He does it right and reasonable.

Amazing Company and Bob is great. He knows his stuff and has reasonable prices. I would recommend him to anyone that owns a bug.

Bob's bug barn one of tucson's gems the quality of the customer service was over the top Bob fixed my sandrail when other shops said it couldn't be done I guess Bob showed them what a real mechanic can do thx you Bob and Pete you are AWSOME !!!!!
