Had a transmission failure 1700 miles from home, worst case scenario. These guys rushed it for me and removed, rebuilt, and reinstalled a 68RFE in my truck in under 2 days. They called local tow companies for us, stayed late, and got parts there fast. So far so good, unit is working great. Highly recommend, very impressed with their service. Thanks again to Eddie, Calvin, and to everyone at the shop who made it happen.

Very unhappy. Took my car here because the transmission was slipping. Their assessment was it needed a rebuild at a cost of over $3000. So had them rebuild it. Now, $3k later the transmission is still slipping and it now shifts HARD meaning it clunks into gear with an alarming jerk. Bottom line is, it's still doing the same thing I brought it in for. Turns out the transmission valve body was the culprit. Not covered under the warranty, plus did I even need the rebuild in the first place?

Great service. Eddie and his technicians made it easy with an inspection that identified issues with transmission on my miata even though I had no Idea I needed a new transmission. They told me exactly what needed to be done. Fast and easy inspection! Thanks Eddie will come back and great customer service!

Eddie and the team working on the Golf links and Kolb AAMCO location did a wonderful job on my RAM 1500. Figured out the issue and took care of the problem. I am thankful for them.

Over the last year the AAMCO team on Golf Links have serviced and replaced multiple aging components on my 2nd hand 2001 Ford Escape with 125k+ miles. The work has been both effective and efficient, while faster and much less costly when compared to a dealer's shop (not cheap but fair). I've come to trust the work and advice from the leader, John, and when the next vehicle issue arises ... I be back.

Great customer service, came in for a vehicle inspection. Had to wait in the lobby, it was pretty hot and uncomfortable because the A/C wasn't working. They were able to give me a proper diagnosis and were very informative on what was going on with my car. Called for a transmission fluid change. They said bring it right in and we'll get it done. Took the car in and they took it for a test drive and came back saying the transmission wasn't working properly and needed approx. 5000.00 in repair costs! I then took the car to a ford service center the next day and they were able to change the fluid for 245.00 and that the transmission was working just fine! Just saying! To Luis who responded to my review. The tech who told me about the diagnosis said there were no codes that came up on the car. Also no codes came up at the ford service center as well! The car runs just fine! Save it Luis!

Manager is unprofessional, unethical and rude. Scamming warranted repairs for more money claiming the warranty didn't cover this or that. Only in it for the money and couldn't care less about the customer. TAKE YOUR CAR AND MONEY ELSEWHERE: EDIT IN RESPONSE TO AMMCO: you are incorrect sir. It's not my job to negotiate a price for a transmission repair. My deductible for a transmission replacement was $100. It's not my job to negotiate a better price for you to make money. Your manager told me over the phone that the price of programming was included in the price of the transmission. YOU had to hire a 3rd party to program it. Which cost YOU money. Initially you told me the cost of the repair including the programming was 375. I argued with you and all of a sudden the day of pick up it was 275? I'm sorry sir but it screams scam. You and your mechanics are a dishonest.

Worst place to go. I was charged $700 for them to take my transmission done take a look at it, they give me a ridiculous price of 6702 rebuilt transmission. They had said that there was a lot of metal shards throughout the transmission causing a lot of damage internally and had to be rebuilt. I told him that I wanted my truck back and that I was get a secondary quote. they then proceeded to charge me $900 for the towing and breakdown. They wanted to charge me$1,200 to put the transmission backup. They left the transmission in the bed of my truck completely disassembled. I called around got a secondary for 3000. This place is a rip-off and I wouldn't recommend taking your vehicle. We had the other mechanics take a look at the transmission and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the transmission it was just the torque converter

Every time I've had an issue with my vehicle, big or small they've been there to help me. Taking care to look into the problem thoroughly to make sure they have figured it out before letting me drive away. I came for TCm for my focus and quoted me $2600.They had the car for a month and replaced the TCm. After I drove it for 30 miles, I got the same error message that it s overheating, I come back to them again, the deceptive manager there told me it s internal wear and it will cost me another $4000. I tow the car to my state and took the car to the dealer for diagnostic testing and quoted me about $700 dollars. I call the Jesse who was the manager at that time and he told me if take the car to another shop other than Ford or Aamco , he will not honor my claim. We agreed that time he will refund me if it turns to be the TCm . After I got my repair at the dealer John who said he is the new manager told it s my problem and that manager doesn t work with us any more. I told him that I had issue with the store and the individual. Please avoid this deceptive store .Service: Transmission

Took my 2017 Nissan Rogue in today 08/25/2022 to check an issue with the car. I was thinking that there was an issue with the transmission, since the car seemed to have an issue shifting gears. Jesse and the rest of the awesome technicians were very nice and courteous. They ran a diagnostic on the car and found out that there was no issue with the transmission (thankfully). I really do recommend AAMCO on golflinks and kolb. They are a nice and awesome team. Very efficient and know how to do their job. :)Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

I wasn't sure what was wrong with my car but I took it in and was given the time and consideration to help me discover what I needed and got the repairs. The turnaround to get my car back was faster than any place I've been to for my car repairs. I experienced high quality service and genuine feedback as to what was being done. I have been going to repair shops for over 40 years now and have never had better service.They were so friendly and professional. I had to have my transmission rebuilt and a few other things done and although it was costly Chad worked hard to keep it to a minimum.Chad also called me several times to keep me informed of what was happening and very patient while explaining things. I had work done to the transmission in my car at a different AAMCO location who was extremely dishonest and did not complete the repairs they charged me for. I wound up at this AAMCO location on Golf Links to try and get my transmission repaired under warranty. Chad and his guys were exceedingly helpful and went above and beyond to help me with my car, keeping me very informed through the entire process. Keep up the good work men.Service: Transmission

I was told by another place that my transmission mount needed to be replaced. I wanted a second opinion and went to AAMCO Transmission to ask them how soon it needed to be replaced. They got me in quickly and took a look at it. They we're honest with me and said it could wait 6 months. They gave me great service and weren't out for my money. I highly recommend them.

We were traveling through Tucson on our way to TX with two littles. Our AC stopped putting out cold air and it was really hot. We called ahead and told the guy (maybe the manager) what we needed. He assured us he would get us right in. We went there, he offered cold drinks and got us in and out in no time. Showed us where the leak was so we could have it fixed in Texas. He didn t have the part and it would be 4 days until he could get in. We paid a reasonable amount and went on our way. Ahhh cool air! Great friendly service! The best customer service and work ethic that I have seen in Tucson.They take care of you and your vehicle. They aren't a big brand name shop with outrageous prices with mediocre work. They do the job right the first time and they aren't there to try and take your money. I am glad I found this shop, and will continue to bring my truck here, no matter what the issue is. I would recommend everyone else to do the same. These guys are good workers, reliable, and professional. Give them a shot, and you will be glad that you did.

I have owned my vehicle (2005 Honda Odyssey) for 2 and a half years and have had little issues since I bought it. I have ignored them because the issues were consistent and predictable. Over a long trip with my family things got way worse; to the point I was concerned for my families safety.I went into AAMCO expecting to have to replace my Transmission. After an initial inspection the staff recommended a lower cost possible fix first, but wanted to ensure we were looking at the right thing. So, they had another mechanic within the shop ride with me to duplicate the issues.After the ride and the mechanic was clear on what was happening, he did a more detailed inspection, and the staff suggested maintenance that was low cost and could be done quickly. Not only that, they knew the quick maintenance would not be done at their shop.After a few hours of diagnosis and recommendations, the AAMCO staff saved me a lot of money and their recommendation was spot on. I would highly recommend anyone to the honest and fair work they do. Thank you AAMCO!

Until I went here I thought most companies gave up on the bait and switch tactic. I called these guys and asked for the highest possible estimate for a total clutch replacement. I was told 1700$. It's a little high but I figured these people are experts in transmission work so I brought my truck in and left. The next day I was callled and the person told me that the new price for the work would be 2500$. Then they tried to justify and double talk a reason for the nearly double price increase. I had my truck towed elsewhere and left with a newfound lack of trust in mechanics. They maybe experts with transmissions and have friendly salespeople but honesty is not a part of their mission statement.I have to update my review as I received a call regarding my review. I have to give the employees at aamco credit. They are very polite and friendly. They are courteous and when there was a problem Jake followed up the very next day. I appreciate their concern about a bad review. The reputation is difficult to shake when people think you're pulling a scam. I would like to think that they simply made a mistake and it won't happen again. But I took my truck to another shop and got a quote that was half what aamco wanted. Best part was that they did it for the price they quoted and it was 1200$ less.For what it's worth, that's my opinion.

I went into AAMCO when my gear shifter was not engaging to take it out of park. (I was afraid it was my transmission!) It was also making a very loud hum noise when I hit about 40mph. These guys checked it out, replaced a wheel bearing and a brake switch, they did not overcharge or give me a list of things that are broken. They have been honest with me I would recommend them to any of my family and friends!Service: Steering & suspension repair

I took my daughter's car here back in Sept for some noises it was making and that is when I was introduced to Steve. He is WONDERFUL. He called and told me what was wrong, what it needed, provided the old parts, and made sure it was in solid working condition before putting my daughter back on the road in it! Now just recently the A/C has not been working properly so again I took the car to Steve yesterday. He had it fixed and in and out in several hours. He is wonderful, knowledgeable and caring. This Aamco is also very reasonable. I would HIGHLY recommend taking your cars to this location.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Steering & suspension repair

Chad was honest with me about my vehicle and gave me legitimate advice on how I should go about maintenance on my vehicle. Took my evolution 8 here a couple years ago just for a obd scan... i left it there and when i came back the guy told me i needed a new clutch and he could do it now... i just laughed because i had just replaced my clutch a few mouths earlier with a performance stage 3 clutch, but when i got into my car my clutch was so bad i could barely drive it! It was perfect when i went in! He destroyed it! even had to tow it to a good shop to look at it.... they told me, it almost looked tampered with... They said my clutch was actually good and still looked new and any good mechanic should be able to tell... the did something to my car that took less than 15 minutes, and my cars been perfect ever since... this leaves me with only two logical conclusions about this shop on the east side of Tucson off golf links...A. They are total scammers, orB. They are so bad at driving manual they destroy things AND are so incompetent they cant even figure out a simple 15min transmission fix... my money is on them being scammers. Brought in a VW Beettle for a tranni fluid check. I was told exactly what theh did and told me the fluid look new and was within normal standards. They had the chance to sell me a new Tarnasmission services but they didnt. Their selfrespect and honesty impressed me!! Thank you guys.
