I had an FAL built by Mr. Graham three years ago. Communication was excellent. The turnaround was five or six months (which was expected), so everything was on schedule. He sent over an invoice, I promptly paid it, and he quickly got my rifle shipped back to me. The rifle was perfect, and I couldn t have been happier. Excellent craftsmanship, and professionalism. Five starts all around.

Total five stars in every way. We sent a rifle to ARS that had excellent parts quality but amateur (dangerous amateur) assembly. ARS repaired than refinished the rifle far beyond expectations. Total satisfaction!I have to chuckle reading the poor reviews. You choose a craftsman, you communicate what you d like done and then leave him alone to do what you are paying him to do. In my opinion Mark Graham is the finest FAL gunsmith in the country. He lived up to his totally well deserved reputation. His company and work is recommended without reservation.

Extremely pleased with my FAL Builds at ARS.I stalked the business on Facebook and google reviews prior to choosing them. I emailed the proprietor, fast response with loads of info on what i would still need. Purchased the goods, realized the Owner/Gunsmith Mark was local, setup an appt to drop the stuff off and the transaction was smooth. Mark has a beautiful shop, wealth of knowledge and consistently shares at no cost. Both of my rifles fire flawlessly and have the look and function i was hoping for. Customer service and flexibility were nice to see. Bucket List Check, thanks mark i'm one happy customer!

Yuge complaint: I received exactly what I ordered, in a short period of time, WITH a bag of peanut M&Ms. I am so triggered that I can't even.I ordered a stoll for an STG-58. The stoll was perfect. My only real complaint is that I didn't go to ARS sooner, but that's my fault. Definitely 5 stars.

Mark is nothing short of an artist with the FAL. The assembly, the finishing, and the camo paint (if you choose it) are flawless. Having spoken with all the well known FAL assemblers, he was the only one who took my job without giving me some kind of grief about the project, I just had to wait for him to get through his backlog, which really wasn't that bad for me. Be warned, as others have said he is very direct in communicating with you. He will not hold your hand step by step. If something can't be done, he will tell you directly. If you are an adult and you know what you want and communicate it clearly up front, you'll be fine.

If you re looking for someone to coddle you and whisper sweet nothings in your ear then this may not be the builder for you. But if you re looking for a rifle that s going to be built correctly, he s good to go. What he lacks in social skills he more than makes up for in gunsmithing. The AK I received hasn t had any issues, everything is headspaced correctly and my rivets look phenomenal. I d rather have an A-hole build a gun correctly than a nice guy cobble one together. If you can find both somewhere else, why are you even here?

Does an excellent job and works to a very high standard. Parts descriptions are always accurate and shipping is always fast. The owner can be abrupt and he does ask that you don't ask questions that he has already answered on his website but the information there is more than clear and also serves as a good resource for those working on their own projects. The new store is much easier to use than the old one. Mark will always be my go to for FAL projects.

I should have read the reviews. Hoping to get quality work I overlooked Graham s initial rude and arrogant behavior. That was a mistake. When the final product was delivered nearly 6 months overdue it can at best be described as underwhelming. I have seen better work from LGS Smiths will no FAL experience. Overlooking Graham s arrogance and lack of people skills would come back to haunt when I questioned his less than professional workmanship. Bottom line DO NOT SEND your FAL to Graham. There are better options in workmanship, price, and hassle.

I can't speak on the attitude of the owner, but i placed an order late Friday afternoon, it shipped Saturday and was in my mailbox all the way across the country on Monday afternoon. The shipping time was fast, the parts ordered were correct, and the included stickers and pack of m&ms in my package were a nice little touch. Im sold on ARS and hope to order lots more from them in the future!

Mark is The BEST FAL GUNSMITH there is. Hands Down if you want Quality Gunsmithing This is the place to be. His work speaks for itself to all thease individuals who are Bashing Mr. Graham first of all Get A Life!, He is not a Rudd Man he is a Very Busy Man Because he is The Best Fal Builder in this Country and Dose not have time to answer a million questions as far as his Honesty If it takes 6 month's He will tell you Such and the reason it takes that long is Because he is only one man and knows His Trade Best and Anyone who has been around knows this to be true. So to all the uneducated. If you have a million questions go to a library or you Tube and watch is instructional videos.

I received the parts I ordered faster and in better condition than expected.Reading some of these reviews.. sheesh. The Guy spent an inordinate amount of time answering questions and compiling data on his highly informative website. Don't get bent out of shape when he gets salty answering the same questions over and over. Save yourself a pearl clutching event and spend some time reading before picking up the phone.Remember, He's a gunsmith, not a hairdresser for pete sake.

Mark is the leading expert on FAL rifles in the US. He knows his stuff. I have bought from Mark for many years. Always received what I was owed and anything that came up was fixed without question. You can usually catch him at SAR show in Phoenix for a chat. Buy with confidence!

ARS has done work on two of my FALs with excellent results. Yes he can be short but he is also very busy and everything you need to know about ordering is on the website. It's not hard to figure out at all.

Sent a Sig to him for refinishing that had been beaten up as an EDC for years under Texas sweat. I just got it back and it looks like a brand new gun. Absolutely beautiful. ARS was incredibly thorough and detail-oriented.

I keep seeing reviews saying how rude this guy is, but I had a perfectly pleasant conversation with him regarding a gun that he said up-front that he was unable to work on, yet continued to lend me his time and answer questions. He's apparently very backlogged and only working on FAL platform jobs right now, but that didn't stop him from educating me on the in/out of the HK barrel job I wanted done. Thanks for your help.

I try to contact this individual's through his website but it would not send. It just keep on trying to load after I hit enter submitting my information trying to get a respond, by sending him an email. Try several times but his site just keeping trying to load my sent message. Though he doesn't respond by phone and there is no way to contact him. Plus he does not have an email contact either. No phone and no email contact. Can not reach this individual for information. What kind of business is this when a customer is trying to reach someone for information and can not get a hold of anyone. Every time I try to send him an email all I see is the website loading icon, that moving circle. Pointless website

Owner needs to learn what customer service is. If you like to be talked down too, belittled, etc this is your place.EDIT: The response is just another example of the owner and his excellent CS.

Rude owner. Be sure to read every last word on his website before asking a question or risk being chastised. Customer service is clearly an afterthought. Avoid.
