This place used to be good but it s not what it was. We stayed as a group. The rooms were musty. The floors were dirty. The pillows need to be replaced. The shower didn t work. There are roaches. The breakfast used to be cooked to order. Now it s powdered eggs, warmed up sausages, muffins, toaster waffles & toast. We told the owner that the shower didn t work and there were roaches. There was no apology or offer to discount the rate. If this sounds like a place you want to pay to stay consider yourself back in the Wild West, otherwise go somewhere else.

There should be a zero stars option for places like this. The first room we went to had a buzzing noise that we could not figure out where it was coming from, we pulled the middle cabinet out to unplug the clock thinking that was the problem and found leftover whoppers and other candy wrappers. So we started looking the room over and found mold in the bathroom, all the drawers were dirty including dead bugs. So we went and asked for a different room showing them pictures of the first room. Second room we checked and found potato chips on the floor and then a live bug. We went back to the front desk and told them their rooms were not clean and bugs were unacceptable. They told us we would have to contact Expedia for a refund. They had charged me an extra $40 for two extra people (they said a double queen was for 2 people and 2 extra was $20 each). I told them I would as least like the $40 refunded that I paid them at check in and they said they wouldn't do it. I told them, we did not stay there, how could they charge money for us not staying there. They said "we used the room". We were there long enough to know we didn't want to stay there and they consider that "using the room". When we said bugs were unacceptable he responded with "I don't care." My husband booked the room for me without checking the reviews. I hope more people read these reviews and stay away from this place.

Place was run down. Towels were sub par, bathroom floor was sticky and there wasa very strong perfume smell in the room. The worst part was the constantly trickling water in the shower. The water issue was not confined to one room. They should be ashamed of themselves for wasting so much precious water in an area that cannot afford to be wasteful! Breakfast was blah.

Genuinely the most dirty hotel I have ever seen. Not only was there mold in the shower, but LIVE BUGS crawling. Additionally, food in the room, broken window, stains on sheets, and the mold and bugs mentioned above. We were there for 3 hours trying to tough it out, and after we saw the live bugs - we were OUT. We drove way out of the way to find another place. DO NOT LET THEM TAKE YOUR MONEY BEFORE YOU SEE THE ROOM!!!!! They won t give you your money back. I worked at a summer camp for many years and this was way worse - I m not hard to please, lol!

Stayed there over a weekend went to are room the blinds and curtains had holes in them. They gave us another room which I thought was great but after the first night the toilet kept stoping up went to front desk and told them about it and they fixed the problem they gave me a toilet plunger to unstop the toilet. I silent know I was on the pay roll for maintenance. Won t stay there again.Rooms: Need to put new mattress on bed they were lumpy.

It's unfortunate, once upon a time I stayed here and it was great. It seems new ownership isn't doing much for it. Upon preparing to check in, another set of customers was upset because of bed bugs, that they had pictures of, in their room. The management refused to refund them as they were leaving.Well, my mother-in-law and kids certainly wouldn't be staying there either, and Arizona law states, "Arizona law states the following:A.R.S. 36-601 Public Nuisances Dangerous to Public Health: states that the presence of bed bugs in public sleeping accommodations is a public nuisance and dangerous to public health."management was rude about it and said to never come back, but he'll cancel the reservation. Unfortunately, this means my next trip to Tombstone will not involve The Landmark Lookout Lodge.Rooms: Unclean.Safety: With bed bugs, unsafe.

So many cockroaches in our room! Unfortunately the office was closed by the time they started showing up at night- in the bathroom, on the soap, in the dresser drawers, across the floor. The room wasn t very clean as well and the floor was sticky. When we complained (very nicely) in the morning the owner didn t even apologize and offered us only $7 back. The views were nice and the breakfast was okay but never coming back after that experience.

We arrived approximately 12:30 p.m. checked in went to the room wanted to make sure everything was in working condition and it wasn't. Is this also not a pet friendly hotel/ Motel you're not allowed to leave your pets in the room for any period of time. The TV did not work the air conditioner does not cool off the room even after 3 hours and the refrigerator froze up so food and drinks did not stay cold so my fiance went to the office the young manager was there told him about the TV he said he would be up to fix it 45 minutes later he's a no-show. He went back down to the office and there was an elderly manager he said the younger manager had went to lunch so they totally ignored our request and he said said he would be up 45 minutes he did not show. So my fiance went back down to the office couldn't find the elderly gentleman and he told him that we were hungry we wanted to go eat lunch but wanted to leave our pet in the room that we would be back in a couple hours the elderly manager said no pets are not allowed to be in the room unoccupied we thought this was a pet friendly hotel and it does say that on the website. He said he would be up to fix the TV 45 minutes later he is a no-show so I went to the office the man was very rude screaming and yelling at me wouldn't listen to me at all and said if we can't abide by the rules that we need to leave. So we left found another place to stay pet friendly and our dog was allowed to be in the room unattended. My first time just tombstone and this is the experience we had with this hotel. We also made friends with a couple at this hotel and they said their breakfast is not a hot breakfast that they had cold cereal oatmeal bread and fruit. We do not recommend this place

I gave the Landmark 5 stars for the following reasons. A new family took over just 8 months ago and they have done wonders. The rooms has new flooring. The rooms are spacious. Each room has a refrigerator and a nice size tv. They keep the beautiful old tile on the walls in the bath and sink area. The breakfast would be $10 in any restaurant in town. The pool and pool area have been completely redone. They have a very nice path way to walk your pets or just for your own walk. And last but not least every room has a grest view.Rooms: Rooms are spacious and has a refrigerator.Nearby activities: Just minutes from Boot Hill and downtown Tombstone.Safety: Plenty of outside lighting.Walkability: Nice walking paths for you and your pets.Food & drinks: A great breakfast that would vost you $10 in any restaurant.

Stayed one night for a quick weekend trip, overall a good stay. Only issues were that the shower didn t get very warm and the sink faucet leaked all night but we understand that the lodge is under recently new ownership so i don t expect this to be an issue for much longer. It is in a convenient location and the room was quiet and comfortable. I didn t bring my dog but I could ve since there was a dog area just outside. There are super charming historic-type paintings on the outer walls of the building and by the pool which were cool to look at. The check in/check out process was very smooth and quick with friendly helpful staff.

MOLD!! I originally booked this hotel for 3 nights. After the first night everyone in the room fell sick, including a disabled individual whom fell violently ill vomiting and having a severe headache ache. After the first night we took a little time in town and just drive around and started feeling a lot better. We returned to the hotel later around 6 only to get sick again. At this point we had concern for some sort of mold in the hotel and after some light looking around we found a panel under the sink that hanging open (would not stay closed) and inside the panel was a plumbing access with a lot of water, rust and mold inside. We took video and pictures and immediately pack out stiff to leave. We got into out vehicle and went down to the office informing them we are on day 2 of our 3 day stay and found this mold that made us all sick. The staff did not care at all about the condition of the room (showed them the video too) and that it made us all sick and forced us to leave. He only refunded us the 3rd night and refused to accommodate us in any way, very rude and does not care about the health of their guest. I would not recommend.Safety: Room continued mold and staff does not care to resolve issues related.

The rooms are very clean. We liked that the floors are dark Pergo, not carpet. The shower towels are small but adequate. Our bed wasn't super comfortable, but not awful. The heater gets the room toasty very quickly. There is a beautiful view from the front, I believe every room faces east. There are nice paths in front, benches, and fun rock formations. There are several outdoor chairs to sit in on the balcony walkways, enjoy the breeze, and the view of Sheep's Head Rock across the valley. The continental breakfast was adequate; with yogurt, cold cereal, donuts, juice and coffee. We will stay here again when we are in the area.

They deserve 0 stars. This place was filthy, crawling with live bugs everywhere in the room including in the bed under the sheets and behind/under bed. The bathtub would hardly drain and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. This was our second room we were given because the first room was leaking water everywhere, including on the television in the middle of the room and in a corner. We were going to call the front office to report water everywhere except there was NO PHONE!!!! Oh and the pool was about 1/4 full and green with trash in it. Bags of trash was outside in the parking area as if it was just thrown out of the rooms. I would never recommend this hotel...

If you can stay anywhere else, do it. Their room AC is terrible. Had the most uncomfortable sleep on a bed that was rock hard. Room never did cool off... Nothin like sweating in your sleep. Asked the office if they had a fan or a portable AC unit, answer was no. He offered to switch us rooms which seemed pointless since it'd be moving/packing all our stuff to go to another hot room. Only thing that was awesome about this hotel was the mountain views and their breakfast. But for $100+ a nt, not worth it. Walls are rotted, and room was crawling with bugs. I won't be staying here again.

An incredibly charming hotel that is quiet, comfortable, and features a stunning view of the vast landscape. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they are very welcoming to pets. Hotel is located in close proximity to the sights and destinations of the town. You're never more than 4 minutes from the attractions. Nice hot shower and working a/c. The rooms have beautiful Spanish tile and these amazing antique bathroom doors. We also loved the homage artwork to the Old West theme. The parking lot is well-lit and we generally felt very safe. Property is clean and well taken care of. This is officially our go-to hotel.

So back in March we made reservations online for the past weekend's Tombstone Redemption event. We never got a confirmation email and never got charged so we decided to call about a week before our reservation and asked someone working there if it had in fact ever gone through. They told us no, we do not have a reservation under our name and would have received an email if we had a reservation. We made plans at another hotel since in a different city because they were all booked in town.Well, two days after the event we were charged for the reservation we were told did not exist. So they must have had our card number and the name on the card on record, meaning the person we talked to made an error. Now they are being very rude on the phone and refused to let us finish a sentence. The guy we talked to wouldn't even calm down long enough to listen and when we finally said, 'fine, we'll take it to the bank' he laughed and told us they would never give us any money.I get when someone cancels or is a no show you still charge them. You explicitly told us we did not have a reservation and charged us anyways. How hard is it to look up someone's reservation when they call?

Horrible hygiene and service! Not The Landmark, but the LOOKOUT!!!BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!! This hotel s stars are not accurate. According to locals it is under new ownership. If we had not arrived very late to town or had and another option, we would not have stayed here. I guess the only hotel in town with vacancies should have told us something: room was filthy, hair in bed and bathrooms (including private hair), filthy bedding (we actually brought in our own stuff and slept on top of the bed), tv didn t work, and we were told twice that they would fix it, but nothing. After we complained about the room, not so much as an apology. Horrible service and very unclean. Once in town, locals knew very well the bad reputation of the hotel as many tourists have left bad reviews.Read less

This is a nice hotel. It's quaint. The rooms are comfortable. I stayed for 2 nights and I am glad I did the view from my room was lovely. It was very quiet in the evening. It had a pool, and a small walking path, plus a nice quaint courtyard. They served continental breakfast from 7-10 am. I will stay here again on my next stay. One suggestion maybe a fresh coat of paint for the room, otherwise my stay was perfect. Thank you Landmark Lookout Lodge for a nice stay.Rooms: Very quaint, charming Spanish tiles in the bathroomNearby activities: Tombstone Arizona. Sightseeing, restaurants, shopping, gunfight shows. Great place for a trip, plus Bisbee and Sierra Vista are day trips as well.

Avoid avoid .Where do I start? Apparently this hotel has been recently bought. It needs a complete overhaul. Definitely need to revamp the website as the breakfast is not a cooked breakfast. The pool is filthy. I'm not sure it was really open. Unfortunately there had been water leaks so the water had been turned off for 5 hours minimum. When we arrived our room had not been cleaned except the beds had been changed I believe. I had to have someone come back and clean. Hard to do with no water. Our room had not been ready so we were sent to a different one which was also not ready. Our room and our friends room also had parts that were in disrepair. The heater didn't work in their room. The sinks dripped through the night. Unfortunately, the price should reflect the service going on there and it should be about half of what you're being charged. No discounts were offered. Great location and view but unfortunately there's a lot of work to be done to get it up to speed.

Horrible beds if you stay here, sleep on the floor it would be more comfortable!! Woke up numerous times with back killing us, we could barely walk when we got up!! Toilet ran all night, the room stinks, Toilet seat kid size!! My phone screen is bigger then TV in room!!! We asked for a better room and they wanted to give us the deluxe room which was a running faucet and harder beds!!! We went to a different hotel and paid more money for a wonderful room. We asked for our money back for the 2 nights we WONT STAY HERE AND THEY SAID NO!!! RUN RUN RUN DONT STAY HERE EVER!!!!!!

This is a very nice hotel, and located right around the corner from historic Tombstone. The main thing that drew us to it is that it is PET FRIENDLY!! I put that in caps because it s one of the only places in Tombstone that allows animals. All of the buildings have their own names based on Tombstone celebrities, and all of the rooms face a very beautiful countryside which allows for views of a stunning sunset. The lady the works at the front desk is super nice. She was very accommodating and a very good guide. There is plenty of parking available and a large area behind the lodge, great area to let dogs run around. Breakfast was good. The room was nice for the most part, my only 2 gripes are that it smelled a little stale, and we weren t able to connect to wifi. However, the best shower pressure that I ve ever had at a hotel. Comfortable beds, nice layout. Highly recommended!!
