I ve been to a lot of transmission repair shops and I have never seen another like Tri-City. First impressions matter and right off its the cleanest and most welcoming shop ive been to. The team was friendly and even though it was my first time there they treated me like a long time friend.Their technicians have decades of experience diagnosing and every imaginable transmission issue. And the process that owner Dave Riccio has put in place is followed so meticulously by very time that that I trusted them at every turn. I ll be back for sure.

Dave and his team at Tri-City Transmission are top notch! They know how to repair transmissions and not just swap them out with a poor quality rebuilt unit. They diagnosed and repaired my transmission quickly and for much less cost than quotes I'd gotten from other shops. My transmission shifts perfectly and now it's fun to drive! Dave is honest and cares about his customers, which is very refreshing. Thanks for the great work!

This company is great! We worked with Joe and he was great at communicating timelines and all the work they needed to do on our van. They had to have our car for a few weeks but offered us a loaner vehicle in the mean time which really helped us out. They were very thorough and our car feels brand new! We will definitely go to them with any vehicle issue in the future!

I took my car in thinking it was the transmission going bad. Turned out it was a much easier fix, and they were able to make the repair since they also do general mechanical work as well. I am very happy to have taken my car there because I received honest diagnostics, OEM parts, triple quality control review on their own work, and even got my car back sooner than promised! Beyond exceptional work!! They were very polite and explained everything in detail!!

Joey@Tri-City was exceptionally helpful and reassuring when needing my Jeep repairs during a recent interaction. He listened to my concerns and reduced stress by explaining the repair process in depth. I felt safe in my decision-making to move forward. It's important to find a place you can trust & I'm grateful Tri City Transmission can be added to my go-to list (if needed) in the future!

Another great experience! I was getting a transmission error on my 2004 Chevrolet 2500 HD. I brought it in and Dave and his team had the truck for a few days. I was getting worried the longer they had it. I eventually received the call from Dave that there was nothing wrong with my transmission. In ended up being the ignition switch and the batteries. Still put my pocket book back a little but not nearly as much as it would have if it had been the transmission! They were thorough too, because they tested the new switch and it ended up being defective so they replaced it. They could have easily replaced the switch and sent me on my way but they didn't.It's service like this that will keep me coming back and sending friends and family their way!!

From start to finish, a positive experience with Tri-City Transmission. Most people will go their entire life not needing transmission work on their vehicle. but should the time come, the ONLY place to go is Tr-City Transmission.I was kept informed from the technicians as my truck was being evaluated, repaired, and test driven. their technicians are experienced in both the mechanics of vehicle maintenance and repair, and proper customer service. The shop is immaculate, neat and orderly. Ask to be taken behind the scenes and you will be impressed!Again, nobody wants to have to take their vehicle in for a major repair, like a transmission, but if you need transmission service (or any vehicle repair, they're not just a transmission shop, they do it all, the correct way!

I have to say the reviews online were extremely positive for Tri city transmission. I had taken my vehicle to two different transmission repair shops, and neither shop was able to determine the true issue. Tri city after a couple days, were able to pin point the issue and fix the it within a weeks time. I was skeptical at first, but after picking up my truck and driving now for two weeks, I am completely satisfied and it has never driven better. Tri city communicated with me almost daily, while being respectful of my time and resources. If you are in need of transmission service, I would highly recommend Tri city, you won t be dissatisfied or disappointed.Jay

UPDATE -Picked up the truck after they gave it a thorough look. It turned out that it's not the transmission but something else. I like the fact that even though it wasn't a transmission problem they were honest and didn't try to sell us a transmission.01/15/24 - Dropped off our pickup and the front office and restroom was very clean. I feel if a shop and the premises aren't clean then perhaps they won't pay attention to details regarding my vehicle. But that's just me.The guy at the front desk was very nice and professional, my husband and an employee went for a drive and discussed the problem. The truck spent the night at the shop and we should be hearing from them by tomorrow afternoon.

The owner, Dave, was extremely friendly and helpful. From my first moments panicked in a parking lot with my "check transmission" light staring me in the face, I googled transmission shops blindly and called around. Dave answered the phone warmly and reassured me that the shop and his mechanics were comfortable and familiar with my car's model and would be able to help. The rest of the staff was also very easy and comfortable to talk to. The service I received once I handed my keys over felt very personal and professional. They made sure every little detail was checked before handing me back my ford fiesta in great, smoothly running condition. Throughout the process I received regular communication on the status of the diagnostic and repair, which gave me some needed closure along the way. Overall, my experience was extremely positive and this shop has my loyalty until my car turns to dust.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

My radiator got busted while on a road trip. Joey understood the situation and was able to complete the work in a fast and timely manners. I was able to get back on the road on the day I needed to. They got the truck on a Tuesday started the work on Wednesday and got the work completed on Friday morning. I appreciate the time priority the took for my situation. I highly recommend. They did a great job!

Good cars go bad one part at a time. Unfortunately for me I bought a very nice Jeep Rubicon that had recently been serviced with a new clutch and throw out bearing. On car fax this looked like a major plus, but turned out to be a major flaw as the work was done poorly and without attention to detail. Lazy technicians who performed the work right before my purchase didn't pay attention to details and it cost me big. No reputation shops who simply swap parts don't pay attention to details and take a very good vehicle and quickly turn it into a mess. Dave and team were able to diagnose the noise in my 6 speed manual transmission, identify that the input shaft bearing was pooched as it was affected by improperly replaced poor workmanship on the clutch job. The throw out bearing was not done right, the pilot bearing fell out into the bell housing when the transmission was pulled off for repair, an entire bolt was missing from where the bell housing joins the engine, and to not drag out the list of other details missed I had to fix the transmission due to a poorly performed piece of normal maintenance by a technician who didn't know what they were doing. Dave and team fixed the problem for under the quoted amount and were able to get me a proper shifting, smooth as butter 6 speed transmission fix that will have me driving my 2013 rubicon anniversary edition happily down the road for another 100k. I even picked up a few jokes from Dave that come in handy now and then. Thank You Tri-City Transmission for your attention to detail.

Highly Recommended Owner Dave Riccio and his team offer honest, reputable & reliable service. This was the 2nd time usingTri -City Transmission I took our 2008 Infinity M35 this week thinking may need a transmission rebuild after it seem to slip a few times, I immediately drove to Tri-City where Dave reassured me that an extended in depth diagnostic testing would be done. I received a call from Dave today with great news a traditional transmission service & complete fluid change solved my concerns. I saved thousands due to their integrity and spirit of excellence !

I took my truck in due to some unexplained noises and symptoms when accelerating and reversing. The staff was extremely professional and friendly. Shop was clean and organized, employees were smiling and didn't look like they worked at jiffy lube. Being that this is my work truck and it is needed daily, the first thing was they set the expectations that this is not something that was going to be done with instant results. I like that, some shops rush through things and rather than finding the exact problem they just start throwing a parts cannon at it.They diagnosed it for day and a half and told me it wasn't even the transmission like I was thinking but rather something different. I was expecting to spend a few thousand dollars. The vehicle has almost 200k on it so I know the transmission will eventually need major servicing in the near future. I'll definitely be back because I know they're not in the business of making fast inaccurate judgments and collecting loads of money for it.

When I had transmission/clutch issues with my car, I called my trusted garage, where I had been going for over 20 years. Even though they didn't have to, they told me that they were not equipped to diagnose transmission/clutch problems but would simply, replace parts until the unknown issue was fixed. They suggested I take my car to Dave and the Tri-City Transmission Auto Repair team. I am glad that I did!I was impressed with the team at every step. From the initial intake interview over the phone (they asked a ton of questions so their experienced specialists could really diagnose and pinpoint the problem), to telling me when they would call me with updates (and keeping to that schedule), to finally picking up the vehicle only after it was road tested by three separate individuals. Aside from their skilled team, and quality of work, the series of road tests really set them apart. The first test is to diagnose the vehicle's problem (usually from the intake specialist). Upon completion of the work, the second road test ensures that the problem was resolved/fixed (by the mechanic who performed the work). The third road test is from another mechanic/specialist who has been doing this work for decades to ensure that everything checks out. Let me add these road tests are not drive-around-the-block tests; they drive them for at least 5 miles (each time) to get the vehicle up to proper temperature, and in varying traffic conditions (stop and go, neighborhoods, freeway).Four months later my second vehicle (a truck) had reverse go out. Without hesitation I knew where I would take it for proper diagnosis and repair, Tri-City Transmission Auto Repair. Yes, you are reading this right, I had two different vehicles needing major transmission/clutch repairs over the course of four months! No one wants to spend their hard-earned money on vehicle repairs, but I knew that if I brought it to Tri-City, they would properly diagnose, repair, and stand behind their work, instead of simply throwing parts on it until it was fixed." I still respect and even trust my original garage for their honesty, but I am thankful that they introduced me to Dave and Tri-City Transmission Auto Repair. You are now my go-to garage! But hopefully, I won't be coming back with yet another vehicle in the next few months!

The guys at tri- city transmission were awesome. Took my 03 avalanche in for trans work thinking it needed a rebuild from leaking fluid. They found the leaks were from other parts on the trans and not needing a rebuild. They also did an all around inspection on it and found other issues that needed addressed. The communication was top notch, they didnt try to sell me something i didnt need, and they worked with me to stay on budget. Will definitely take my truck back to them

I drive 40 minutes for these guys to service my vehicles transmissions and have been for years. They are experts in their field and the owner Dave is even right there at the front line of the operation leading his great team... If you think you are getting a deal for a $199 transmission service at the other places, take a few minutes to call these guys to have them educate you on how their service compares to the other shops. Thanks guys! Keep up the great work!!!

We couldn't be happier with the service we received at Tri-City Transmission. Rebuilding the transmission on our Dodge Durango was a big decision. Dave's communication, professionalism, and knowledge helped us make an informed choice between the various options. It is now running as good as new, and we feel great that they are standing behind their work with a longer warranty than any other shop had quoted us. They have earned our business for sure!Thank you Dave and your entire team.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Transmission repair

I appreciate what Tri-city did for us by diagnosing the problem instead of just wanting to replace the transmission like the local dealer wanted to do. Saved 6k. Tri-city was very honest about the diagnostic time and they communicated well which is helpful during a stressful situation. Thank you Tri-city

H&I Automotive referred me here to Tri City as they were honest and said this is the best place yo have the work done to repair the Torque tube in my Corvette. Tri City did an excellent job! My car is running well and sounds great!!! I like the fact that they do atest drive with the car owners prior to discussing any work or guessing involved with the repairs. They did a great job diagnosing the issue, the staff there are very informative, friendly, courteous and honest in answering questions and explaining the service. I was highly impressed on how organized and clean the shop and work spaces are!! I hope I never have to have any major repairs again, however, I know I will return there if needed. Thank you Dave Ricci and Tri City Transmission!!!

I'm unsure how these people get good reviews, they have to be paid for. I left one on Yelp but figured I should warn other people before they take their business here.I took my vehicle here because I had some transmission issues, and they were noted by another mechanic that while they were unsure of the exact issue, that they needed to be taken care of immediately. So I took my vehicle to Tri-City and they had it for an entire week. They were very condescending about my concerns and said the issues didn't seem urgent told me at one point "you wouldn't get a knee replacement for a sprained ankle" or something dumb along those lines.About two days later, I drove on to the freeway and the entire transmission went out. It sounded like metal popcorn. It was terrifying and awful and thankfully I didn't have my kids in the car.I ended up having the buy a new vehicle which drained me financially. After trying to call these idiots three times I gave up, figuring they would probably be as condescending as they were the first time.DO NOT RISK YOUR VEHICLES HEALTH HERE.

Tri City transmission can t please a DIY er. Words from Dave himself.Scheduled to drop off vehicle over Holiday weekend. Mentioned to Cs rep Jason that I had replaced solenoids in Transmission and car would start to act up after an hour. Decided to drop off a day after Holiday so wouldn t be parked over long weekend.Tuesday morning was greeted by a rep at front desk. While explaining symptoms to him Dave came up and started speaking to his rep. I continued to tell rep symptoms then Dave rudely said I m still speaking can I finish talking I said go right ahead. Dave said if transmission has been tinkered with he can t do the $98 preliminary inspection fee. I told him I just need to know what s wrong with it and I can take care of myself.Dave refused to look at my car because I had already worked on vehicle.I mentioned to Dave I understand it s a business and he in the process of making a profit. He said one of the thinks he doesn t like is a DIYer cause he can t make them happy.I said I just needed to know whats wrong with vehicle and I would take and fix myself Dave said. We re just not a good fit for your vehicle Took my vehicle to them back in late 2009 or 10 and had different result.Stars on a review mean nothing when your not getting the service from a company that the promoted when they were starting up.

Car was stopping in the middle of driving, thought it was my transmission (common in my car). Took it here when they were closed, got a call as soon as they opened letting me know they received it and were taking a look. Turned out it was an issue with my battery not the transmission. They fixed right away and even foxed my broken door handle free of charge. Could not recommend this place more. Very scary time for me thinking I would be paying thousands and ended up paying $300.

I had a concern about a transmission noise from my 1969 Bronco's manual transmission following a transmission swap and called Tri-City Transmission based on their reviews online. I spoke directly to the owner, Dave about my concern. Since the Bronco is a heavily modified restomod classic Dave, being very honest, stated that they might not be the best fit to do the potential repair, but, offered to take it for a test drive anyway and provide a "parking lot" observation of the issue(s). I visited Dave a few days later and he put my concerns to rest stating that there was no need to do any work. Dave even gave me a tour of the shop and I was very impressed with the organization, cleanliness and professionalism of all the staff. I am a little OCD so the this was a big deal to me. Time is money but Dave spent almost an hour with me without any expectation. It is hard to find shops that you can trust and I have already recommended them to a couple buddies.Service: Transmission

Dave and his team were awesome. Great, prompt service. Phenomenal communication. I was kept up to date regularly on when I would be hearing from them and when my car would be done via phone and text. The amazing thing is that they were true to their word. Dave took the time to talk with me and answered all my questions. Everything was explained in detail. I appreciate that what I was quoted was actually dead on, no surprises. Exactly what I want when dealing with major car issues. I was impressed with how thorough they were and how many people are involved in inspecting the work done. You guys get two thumbs up along with the 5 stars.

Had issues with my manual transmission and the staff was very friendly and helpful! In the end it was a rock that had gotten in the wrong place and they called me back saying that they were so happy to give the good news! They decided to waive the diagnostic fee! I am so happy I trusted them with my car.
