Their customer service was above and beyond what you get today from most car repair places. Prices were reasonable, appointment time was honored to the minute, and repair wait time was minimal. I have decided to start using them for more repair services other than just oil changes. I did not know that they did other mechanical car services.

They were incredibly kind and helpful. I had a flat tire and had called in about 2 hrs before showing up and then the tow truck caused me to arrive 12 minutes before close. I fully expected to drop it off and Uber home but they were super understanding and replaced my tire and had me out in 30 minutes for under $200. I will definitely return if I ever have another issue in the area!

just brought my car in, Nick was so helpful and efficient. fixed my fuse in minutes and I felt so taken care of and prioritized. if I ever have something come up with my car definitely taking it back here. thankyou!

Prompt and courteous service! OPEN SUNDAYS!The manager at this location was patient and courteous. I was pretty sure I knew what was wrong before I brought it in, and the prices were fair. I researched first. I am very satisfied with the work so far and I intend to return to this location in Tempe. Highly recommend!

Deleted my neutral review. Because well they gave me free oil as I was walking back to the shop to give them the correct cell phone number I saw him putting air in tires labeled nitrogen that were my tires. Alex told me that maybe I should go somewhere with nitrogen. So he doesn't know anything about customer service but he did give me free oil. When I got home my oil light came on and this morning I realized that they overfilled my machine. Do not go to these incompetent unreliable people. Got to go there again and have them take some oil out.

I visited Pepboys Tempe (Broadway Rd branch) just a day before the Thanksgiving holiday for the last online appointment schedule of the day.Upon reaching the store, it seems like my online appointment was not yet reflected in the system.However, my car was taken for repair as I showed the snapshot of the online appointment confirmation number.I visited for the frequent tire low pressure issue due to some nail and the person in-charge heard my observations and noted down as well and I was notified about the pricing as well beforehand. There's no hidden charges.only thing is, it took too long (was waiting for almost 1.5 hours) to complete this minor patchwork repair but it is totally understandable due to holidays and last appointment schedule of the day.It would have been better if the free vehicle inspection report is also explained by the person in-charge rather than just getting an sms about it later for a review.Overall, I can say it's a good place for car services.Planning to do my subsequent car services in the same store.

This Pep Boys location is truly whack. The only reason why I haven't given them one star is because my initial encounter was fine; Brandon and Alex didn't give me much resistance or friction, they were actually helpful. However, I brought my car here around late July/August for a fuel diagnosis. They popped my hood and told me what part I needed, ordered the part, and then it was pretty much radio silence. I don't want to take my frustrations out on this location because I know there is a shortage and back orders, etc with motor parts and dealerships, but be for real.My car still hasn't been fixed, I haven't been contacted. Any communication I have received has been initiated by me. I called every other week to check, and they weren't able to give me any information about the part order, yet asked for my credit card information for a deposit? Weird and strange. I wasn't able to find this part anywhere else except this location, and now I've essentially wasted valuable time I could be spending looking for and ordering this part from a 3rd party online. Instead Pep Boys wasted my time and energy and made me drive around and deprecate my car further instead of being straight up, because why did it take nearly 3 months and counting. Alex said he would call the dealer and get back to me, that was weeks ago.So, basically, thank you so much Pep Boys for wasting my time and playing around in my face about my car that I desperately rely on to commute to work and school. I truly appreciate it so much! I should have listened when my friends and family told me to go someplace other than here.

Made an appointment, they got me in and out of there within an hour. Gentleman who helped me at the counter was patient and helpful, I m not very knowledgeable when it comes to vehicles, but he even came out to my truck after they finished service and pointed some issues that could cause me trouble in the future. Highly recommend.

Overall happy but probably won't return. I wanted some cheap tires but still name-brand, within a few days notice. They were running a good promotion for 4 tires but the website wouldn't let me order 4 because this location only had 2. I called, they said they can still schedule the install and honor that price. When I dropped off the car, the guy at the desk had a really rough time trying to get their system to match the online price. Not his fault but still inconvenient. While I was there I asked if they fill the tires to the OEM specs listed in the door jamb. He said absolutely they do. Well, my tiny little truck calls for 26psi in all 4 and they inflated my new tires to 42psi. I also work with tires for a living and this is disappointing and unsafe. While I check my tires (and deflated them myself) most people don't and trust the shop to do it right the first time.

First Oil change since moving to AZ from CA and I found a PepBoys near me. The staff were very friendly and did both of our cars very quickly. The did a check of everything and gave me a list showing anything that might need work in the future. Loved PepBoys in CA and they are just as great here in AZ.

Went their on a Sunday 11/4/23 because of front end suspension issue, bumpy rough ride. They raised car up did an inspection supposedly and test drove my car and mechanic said nothing is wrong but offered me 1 tire for $200 bucks, crazy! I said no thanks and took my Nissan Versa to Brake Masters the next day and found after they raised my car up showed me a broken right axel and my struts were worn out. They laughed and said how was a tire they offered going to fix this after showing me, so I could see for myself the damage. Repairs done at Brake Masters and suspension issues resolved. Don't go to this Pep Boys, just laziness or unwillingness to do any repairs on my car!

Went to get a flat tire changed a few months ago and was put in a bait and switch situation because they did not have the specific brand tire for my car and offered me a brand new tire at 350 dollars without including servicing . I left and went to Walmart and paid $75 dollars for a tire and $20 dollars for service. They care about making sales, not helping you out. Buyer beware.

These guys here are courteous, honest, and accommodating. They won t try to sell ya anything unnecessary, and they cooperate with the new tire game. Find the best deal online your on the specific tires you want, from the website you want. Have them delivered there to Pepboys next to Popeyes, and these guys will install em right for a fair price. I felt bad about scheduling my full set s install at 6 pm on a busy Thursday since they close at 7, but Alex assured me they would handle it, and they did. Flawless install. They re in my hood. If my wife, daughter, or whoever needs tires this is it

I was very pleased that this location was able to schedule same day. Upon arrival there was no place to park my vehicle so I ended up parking in back of building. I was very pleased with the experience with the exception of the checkout. My vehicle was done and I sat waiting for almost 30 minutes until I was checked out. Granted they were busy, but with the limited parking available I would think prioritizing completed vehicle's to open up parking would be the thing to do.

Tried to upsell me on wipers and belt which was not needed at all. I went to two other mechanics and saw the belt myself it was not cracked like they said. They lied straight to my face about two recommendations. Never coming here for an oil change again.

Place is a mess, lied about balancing my tire after flat repair. Marked the rim and put the old weights back where they were before the repair.

Alex is so helpful. I noticed a weird clunking from my shocks one night and the next morning I brought my car in fully expecting to leave my car there all day, but they found and fixed the issue (a loose bolt) in only 10 minutes. He didn t charge me anything as well because it was a mistake caused by another pep boys location. Just have to say their customer service is amazing!

Great Job (other than spelling my frist name incorretly, lol) Had a 10 am appointmet dropped it of at 8am (esaier form me) but it was finished by 9:15am !!

Update: After working exclusively with Alex, the problem was identified and corrected. He showed true concern for both my families safety and a job well done. I feel confident I can operate my vehicle safely now. Thank you for your courtesy, hard work and commitment to stand by the shop to ensure thereIs nothing but safe, reliable and honest work being done. I know the shop is short staffed but Alex made it worth the wait.went here for new tires and an alignment. They don't answer the phone when you call or even take care of your vehicle when you bring it in. I had an appointment and the whole day went by and they did nothing, I agreed to allow them to keep to the next day and I called all day nothing, went to go check and they had still done nothing. Whipped it out in the last 45 minutes and cut so many corners. They completely missed I needed control arms and didn't bother mentioning it. They had my car for 3 days and didn't even balance the tires. Now I need a new alignment. And it's only been a couple weeks. Such a disappointment for pep boys I've been using them for years and I needed a closer to work location. This was a huge mistake and after they fix my tire balancing I'm likely never coming back.

Avoid this repair center at all costs! Zero respect for the customer and their time.They won't receive calls or call you back to confirm the service.I dropped my car yesterday, waited an hour to get a rough estimate, which I approved at the time and left at closing. Called them multiple times from 11 AM - 3 PM, no response. I visit again and they add a $250 to the estimate, stating the AC needs to be drained for the alternator to be replaced! & That I didn't approve it! How would I if you never called me with it or answered my call!!!FYI, The alternator on a Jeep is located at the bottom, which is easily accessible when the car is placed on a jack! You don't need to remove the AC for it!

Flat tire Sat night. Jacked car up to put on spare tire. It was also flat. *Sigh* Owner of property where I'm staying had a pump so got spare installed and brought tire in to Pep Boys on Sunday. They patched up and installed tire, toped up air in spare tire, put it back in its place and had me going in about 15 minutes. Less than $30. Thanks Alex for the quick and friendly service.Bruce

Wasted my time.I made an appointment, 40 minutes went by, and my vehicle hadn't even been brought into the bay.Prior, the front desk rep (Jared) asked a coworker to take a look, and he said he didn't have the time.I asked if they maintain calendars at this location, since I made my appointment online, and Jared told me they were short-staffed, he had come in on his day off, and that he would take a look in a few minutes.I told him I understand being short-staffed is a problem, but that I also worked all day, and was on time for the appointment.I wish someone would have called me ahead of time and let me know that they were short-staffed and couldn't honor my appointment time.Had I not said something, I probably would have been sitting around for another 30-60 minutes.I was looking for a local mechanic, after this experience, I won't be back.

Avoid. I was told the reason for my AC blowing hot air was going to be a $7k fix to replace everything. They could not even tell me the exact point of failure. I obviously got a second opinion and it was less than $100 to replace blown fuses.

Best service on short notice. I got a wheel alignment service appointment with Alex when other local Pepboys could not accomodate me. They took care of me and completed the job sooner than I expected while eating next door at Popeyes. A little out of my way but will not hesitate to return if I need to!
