Good Works Auto Repair provided a fine experience in the office, but unfortunately one of their mechanics cut corners and didn't fully tighten my oil drain plug during a routine oil change. Later the same day, this resulted in the sudden loss of all my oil at a gas station 160 miles from home in Blythe, CA. It required me to get a 194-mile tow to my destination in CA, and to fix the problem myself before heading home.Good Works was willing to cover the cost of the repair & new oil and refund me for the service. They were very lucky that I was parked when it happened, otherwise we'd also be discussing a new engine. I am still struggling to get the refund fully accomplished with them, apparently because I booked through Groupon, and the check they wrote me for the new oil bounced.The whole experience was especially disappointing given that I was trying to be responsible before a long drive, and the main reason I needed to travel to CA was because a family member was about to pass away.I accept that the initial oversight with the drain plug could have been a fluke, but if you decide to book an oil change with Good Works Auto Repair, then be especially wary if your car is worked on by their mechanic Gabriel.

Love their Groupon deals! Check them out! They have a friendly and inviting lobby where you can wait for your car repairs or works. They have free coffee and water.They give a nice little Freshener for your car! Staff are so friendly! Be sure to make an appointment a week in advanced. They get busy! I can see why! They are the best I have gone to so far in Arizona so far! I would say this place is wheelchair accessible. Kind of hard to find but totally worth it. I will be returning again !

I received excellent service from this auto repair shop! My new (used) truck's steering wheel was pulling to left so I brought in for an alignment. They did a full inspection with pictures, which gave me a much better idea of the overall condition she was in. They let me know that my coolant was a bit acidic so I went ahead and got a cooling system fluid exchange as well. The person who helped me was very informative and helpful. Their prices are extremely fair as well. I will definitely be going to them for all of my auto repair needs.

Great experience at Good Works Auto Repair! Competitive pricing with fast & friendly service. Alan my service advisor, was knowledgeable and courteous without pressuring me to buy additional products and/or services. While the technician Robert was respectful of my vehicle and worked quickly to get me on my way. Will definitely use Good Works again!

Trying to find a good shop for car repair and found these guys. They were friendly and efficient. Provided photos of inspection along with recommended repairs listed in order of need. I appreciated that. My only small issue was that the repair list wasn t accompanied with pricing, that came separately on the phone.They worked with me to do what I could do now and in future.I will return for sure.

Blake and Jeremy have both been great to me but the rest of the team has as well. I trust them and only go here as the daughter of a deceased mechanic and race car driver, upkeep on my 13 year old hybrid car is of utmost importance to me and thus far, she's been in good hands with Good Works! I really like their office amenities and that they take the time out to show and explain to you what is or isn't wrong with the vehicle. Thanks guys, I'll always be back! :)

Honest and professional auto repair shop. I went in to get a wheel alignment and was kindly greeted, promptly checked in, and my car was taken care of in the estimated time frame.Additionally, they are true to their mission of providing honest service as they completed a very thorough and sincere inspection which I was appreciative of as sometimes auto shops don t have the best reputation for honesty. I recommend this place for your auto maintenance and repair needs.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! It felt good to walk into an autoshop that made you feel welcome. Very friendly staff, technicians inspect your vehicle from top to bottom and inside and out, no upsells and straight to the point. I will DEFINITELY be going back!

I have been taking my truck here for 4 years. When I first started, everything was reasonably priced and the work was high quality. Within the last year however, this place has become greedy.I needed a new starter & an engine cooling fan which they quoted around $3000. Seemed a bit high, but they have always been good to me, so I paid it. 5 months later, my AC started blowing hot. I took it in and they told me I needed a new compressor and suction hose. For this relatively minor job they quoted me at $1,700. For a second opinion, I took my truck to Greulich's in Chandler. They did their own diagnosis and found the same issues that Good Works had. For the EXACT SAME parts & labor that Good Works wanted to charge me $1,700 for, Greulich's did for $513.If I could offer 2 pieces of advices they would be:1. Make sure to research the cost of parts yourself (they wanted to charge me $800 for a compressor that I found brand new online for $130).2. This was for an oil change. The staff were friendly and very professional. They took pictures of each area of inspection. They explained the pictures and let me know what was good as well as what would should be addressed. No pressure, just making me aware so that I can make my own decisions.

Amazing experience! The full diagnostic that was given to go over every issue with my 1996 jeep grand Cherokee was very informative. Had new suspension and shocks done as well as fluid exchanges. Actually getting pictures from them of the issues rather then being told what needs fixed was a great trust build for me. I see myself coming back to this shop for any other issues I may have!Service: Transmission

I would highly recommend this auto repair shop. I went in for an oil change but to my surprise learned that a complete inspection was also done on my vehicle. Many pictures and details were provided for each area requiring attention. I will definitely be returning for further maintenance on my vehicle. I took my vehicle in for starter issues. Good works has very good prices compared to other places and they have your vehicle done in a super timely manner. 10/10 would recommend bringing your car here to be serviced. I'm so glad I found this shop for my cars needs. I needed a simple oil change and had a very bad experience somewhere else to the point it wasn't done. I called around to find the best price for the service and found Good Works. They got the job done in the time they quoted me and they kept me updated while i was in the waiting area. In addition they did a full vehicle inspection and sent it to my phone so I can go back and look at it. It has pictures and thorough descriptions of what's needed. They also printed out a full breakdown and quote of the recommended services. Also every employee I encountered was great. From when i called to schedule the appointment, when I checked in, and when I was leaving. Will definitely be a returning customer.

Called about a replacement taillight for 2011 BMW and spoke with Jeremy on the phone about it. He found a used taillight that was quoted at half the price I was facing elsewhere.I am very satisfied with the work done and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to have work done on their car.Thank you Good Works Auto.

They were communicative through the process. They are fairly priced and also flexible so you can still pick up/drop off your car if your schedule doesn't fit the shop's working hours.

I had an emergency with my BMW and Good Works Auto Repair was able to get me in literally right when I called. They fixed the issue same day at a fair price and now I don t have to be scared driving with my 1 year old. They even gave me a ride back to work! I am so thankful for you guys, and will recommend to family/friends and be back myself in the future. Shoutout to Tanner and Nicole for excellent service!

I called and told them exactly what needed to be done and they said they need to put it on the scope. I asked what it would cost for the things I needed done and wouldn't give me a price. I called a different mechanic and they gave me exact price and didn't feel like they gave me run around like this company. Went with other mechanic.

Had a lovely experience here! Loved the updates they send you while they are working on the car and I felt the pricing was reasonable and the quality of work was great! Will be coming back (but hopefully not too soon! ;) )

Had been a Customer for 10+ years.They had always been pretty reliable and fair prices but this most recent time I had a very poor experience.I had a problem with my car so I took it in without doing much research on the problem thinking it would be minor if anything.I was told it would be a $225 diagnostic before anything was done. They found out my problem was transmission fluid replacement which sounded like it could be the problem but was not. So now I m $400+ in total. Fine if the problem is fixed I guess No less than 5 minutes and 2 miles after the problem was Fixed I had the problem again!So I take it back tell them the real issue. They offer to fix it for a lot more than other options so I choose to pick the car back up.When I get back I ask if there is anything they can do about a portion of the diagnostic fee since it really didn t diagnose the right problem (which I was able to find pretty quickly without requiring $225).Feed me some line about how we re we supposed to know. Idk that s what I paid $225 for?Look I wasn t asking for money back for the maintenance but they didn t diagnose the right problem and I gotta say searching the issues on google instantly turned up results so what exactly am I paying that $225 for?

The best customer service ever! They heard our car concerns and addressed them along with giving us a plan for future services for our car. They even delivered our car to our work when we didn t have the ability to pick it up. Thanks Good Works Auto Repair!

I wanted to leave this review for the excellent service I received here today.My car suffered a pretty nasty collision with a pothole leaving me with a sever wobble and pull on the wheel. Good Works was able to set up an appointment for me first thing in the morning and took me in 30 minutes prior to that time as I showed up early.Tanner took great care of me, explained the process, and was upfront about timing. Initial evaluation took just under an hour and I was texted/emailed a very comprehensive list of items from the entirety of my car. Each item was categorized as either good, may need attention soon, or needing immediate attention. The report had photos and descriptions from my own car showcasing the issues found (not using stock photos, so I knew these were legit concerns).Tanner walked me through the items that were most pressing and didn't push back about me declining some of the services suggested due to cost. A nice change of pace from the more aggressive shops I've been to in the past.I will say it did take some time for the work to be completed (2 tire swaps, an alignment, and a brake fluid flush). Car was dropped off at 730am and not free to pickup until 5pm. But this was mostly due to them not having the tires in on site and was told to me at the get go, so no undue surprises.Tanner also applied a veteran discount without me even prompting, having just seen my USMC cover in the back of my car: so thanks for that Tanner!I was sent emails with updates on my car as it progressed and was able to pickup/pay and leave within 10 minutes of getting back after service was done.Overall, a very solid experience, I will be coming back for future service.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Brakes
