Update: finally fixed after 5 visits. Their customer service is courteous, but I hope their QC improves. A lot of time was lost, but their responsiveness and setting me up with a rental we quick.Previous: After bringing in my car for insurance repairs after a tree damaged the rear, I've had to return twice ... Once when water poured into the back when going through a car wash and the second time when they discovered they had not installed the rear light correctly. It was cracked and condensation was building up inside the rear light housing. I understand they are busy, but now, after going through the car wash again, water is still pouring into the rear trunk ... Not just a little leak. Really disappointed in the QC at Gerber.

Ive never given a bad review to a place before but i Would give NEGATIVE 30 stars to this location if possible!!! Steer clear of this absolute joke of a repair shop if you dont want to lose money, time off work, and a migraine even with the great help of insurance. I had to bring vehicle back 2 times back to back for a total of 3 visits in a month on the same claim for a very straight forward repair. Every time the vehicle was brought back due to broken/missing parts or service not being completed or even checked for quality and it always ended the same . It was all my fault and i dont know what im talking about and they arent liable to repair things they dont want to and if i want it done right then maybe i should just go home and do it myself (which i could very well do and do better in half the time but insurance wouldnt have covered the work). All of this coming from the general manager and the onsite insurance estimator without a single apology or taking accountability for their actions and constantly questioning my ability to tell whether something was done properly or not. And when it was brought to their attention that ive paid over $200 in fuel just driving there and back 3 times and taken time off work and requesting compensation for at least unnecessary fuel theyve costed me i was told i was out if luck and they are not at fault and will not be helping. Apon returning the third time for yet another failed repair (A/C system) and a thorough conversation they made it very clear verbally that they do not intend to right their wrongs and give me any sort of decent customer service. As of right now they are under investigation by the insurance company for their actions and poor worksmanship

My car bumper was ripped almost entirely off. Completely bent and mishapen.Some reason this repair center thought it was a good idea to cheap out and try to just repair it vs replace it. I informed my insurance company that I did not want a repair and wanted a replacement part. The insurance provider clearly stated if I'm unhappy with the quality of work. They will have to replace/repair it at their cost.Well long story short they messed up on identification of other issues as well originally which lead me to have to come back and they had to reopen the claim. They then refused to do anything for the mishapen bumper that never fit properly from day one of repair and has been popping off since then.Have since tried multiple times to let them make things right and fix their original mess up. But they gave me every excuse in the world. Even trying to cite "I curbed it" on the right side, which has a tiny scuff mark bottom of bumper and, they claim that is which somehow made the left side pop off; even though I've had photos of it coming off since day one of car returned to me, which is where the original damage was. You can push the bumper in temporarily but after a short drive it pops out worse and worse which makes me feel like I got conned when I picked up the car, they had to of known this didn't fit right, nor did they care to fix it before giving me my car back.. Overall I have to get work done again to get this vehicle properly fixed as I'm selling it. So thanks for nothing besides annoyance. This occurred summer 2021 and I have given them ample opportunity to do right by this. I have contacted the front desk and my service rep multiple times, even tried contacting my insurance provider. Nothing besides telling me to make a new claim for the exact damage that should of been fixed properly in the first place.If they end up doing right after writing this, I'll update this review but until then this is the outcome.

No stars if I could, but unfortunately, that isn t possible. Don t come here if you want to leave with your car and belongings in tact. My brother brought his car here to get the paint fixed and left with next to nothing in his car because they stole all of it! Even down to his door projectors. How dirty and cheap! When my brother said to the manager that something needed to be done, in so many words she claimed she didn t need to be told to do her job. Clearly you do! You should have some common decency and integrity to make this right, and you don t because you are clouded by your own uncouth ego. You guys should be absolutely ashamed and embarrassed. Don t worry, if you delete my review like my brother s, you ll have plenty more coming! Absolutely abhorrent behaviour from this place.

I'm surprised that these guys remain in business. After suffering some immense hail damage, we took our vehicle there per the suggestion of our insurance adjuster. The *first* go-around took them 16 days - only about 3-4 days longer than estimated. At first, the work looked good. They had to replace the hood and the windshield, and were able to pull out the dents in the roof and body.We got in the car and drove home, happy to have our car back. On the way home, we realized that there were greasy handprints all over the inside of the vehicle, several plastic pieces were missing from the roof and rearview mirror assembly, our steering wheel had gouges out of it, and our headliner had a rip in it. We also took a closer look around and realized that our front fender had not been properly installed and still had peeling paint.To summarize - we were happy with most of the body work at first, but were completely flummoxed by the amount of damage they caused to our interior while doing it. Utter carelessness.We called our adjuster, and Gerber agreed to repair the damage. They ended up replacing the entire headliner (which took them about a week) and fixed the gouges in the steering wheel, but they failed to repair the fender *even though I specifically pointed it out in person*, and had left our sunroof non-functional.At this point, I told our insurance adjuster that we would not be returning to Gerber, and took the vehicle to the dealership to fix the sunroof (it had been wired 'backwards') and the dealer-recommended body shop, Precision Auto, to repair the fender. Precision did a wonderful job (quickly), and I wish that I had taken my car there in the first place. After the fact, I've noticed a significant amount of overspray on my door liners, which again indicates lack of care and effort.I did complete a customer (dis) satisfaction survey for Gerber, and was surprised that nobody responded. I suppose that when you are a corporate chain who has contracts with major insurance companies, you don't really need to worry about pissing off a customer here and there. You'll get paid either way. If I had been paying out of pocket, I would have demanded half of my money back.

I had Brian Kelly come have a look at my front fender that wasn't put back properly after I had radiator work done at another shop. He had it fixed in 12 minutes , no charge. Great shop friendly folks.Service: Body & TrimService: Body & Trim

Horrible experience. Door got a little dented up in a hit & run. Had to have them work on my car 4 times and they still didn't get it back to it's original state. These clowns even caused extra damage while replacing my door and tried to pass it off as no big deal, ended up having to replace 3 different parts they damaged while 'fixing' my car. I will say they were very courteous and understanding throughout the process. But that doesn't change the fact that their work is garbage. This is definitely a shop that takes more of a "good enough" attitude than a "good as new" attitude. It shows.Update: Contrary to the reply below, their GM hasn't reached out to me at all. js.

I was referred there by Geico to get some repairs to my car after being rear-ended. They had my car fixed, painted and looking brand new within 24 hours! They staff was friendly, addressed all questions and kept me updated every min of the way. Highly recommend!

BEWARE OF THEFT!!!!Find it ridiculous that not only has my car been in and out of the shop 3 times in less than a week of it being finished . I got it back each time with more issues than I had taken it in with But the third time I take it in someone steals my $600 sunglasses. I went back the next day of dropping it off to get my sunglasses to prevent someone from stealing them and sure enough they were gone. Of course the manager is out of office till next week so I won t here anything back but beware of this repair facility. It was clear that theft is an issue as the response I got from the receptionist was it states on the paperwork you signed that we re not responsible for any personal belongings I understand the liability issue but does that make it okay for your employees to steal?

Wow! They went above and beyond. They had my car done and delivered to my house in Godspeed. Lol I had my back bumper replaced and they had new plastic brackets put on, and even buffed out a few scratches from the front end as courtesy. My car came back shining clean, smelling amazing and I 10/10 would recommend every day all day! Thanks guys!Service: Body & Trim

Was sent here by an old dummy that T-boned us insurance(geicko), my car was going to be totaled for minor dents, my breaks felt like they were loosened and a small oil leak, has now become worse since it went into this "collision center ". Receptionist told us "it's the same as it when it came in".Save your time and Go to AZ Collision Center instead, those are real professional with no mickey mouse work!

Brian Kelly and his team did a great job process was easy and smooth. They accommodated me in getting out sooner. Car looked brand new as when I bought it. Couldn t be happier would definitely recommend this place.

They fixed my truck. Welded a corner of the frame that had fallen off on a hunt. They stated the work the day I brought my truck in and finished it two days early. Update: My husband contacted them based on their response on this review. Said they will follow-up but nothing happens. Just ignored us. Based on this, I put another star off. Can't be trusted on their words. Take my experience as your lessons.Put our SUV to be fix on rear bumper. The insurance pointed this place. They put our car on regular parking and when we picked it up, the rear bumper was fixed but the front corner got all scratches. Irresponsible business. Look other way!Service: Body & Trim

Great experience at Gerber after hitting a dear with my van. Expected a long repair time being a Mercedes but the job was finished in a few days and ahead of schedule. Each day I reieved a morning text with a brief status update Finally, the quality of the work performed was top notch.

This place is a scam, my car got hit and my insurance company recommended them so they had it shipped to their location. When I got the car back everything looked good, but when I went to install replacement parts, I discovered that the parts didn't line up at all because all they had done was use body filler over the damage and painted it, they didn't remove the headlight assembly to straighten out the damaged mounts. I removed the head light assembly and could see the damage plain as day which tells me they didn't go beyond the surface damage to further investigate. I can see about 1/4" thickness of body filler masking over the damage, don't use this shop they either don't know what they're doing or don't care.Service: Body & Trim

My car was hit by another vehicle which their insurance paid for the repair. I was told to go to Gerber collision for the repair. My first repair appointment was not at all the best they left a bolt inside of my door panel the was making noises like rolling around they fix the problem but caused 3 different problems with the vehicle my window was getting stuck rolling up and down that wasn t there before and my vehicle is a 2022, so there was no other problems prior to bringing it in so I had to set up a second appointment to get the other three situation fixed they decided to get into my glove box for what reason I m not sure the problem wasn t in my glove box, but I found all my glove box papers, thrown in my backseat. oil and dirt all over my seats and steering wheel they threw a bag that I had inside of my car without my permission. On top of that the first appointment I had with them they gave me a Rent-A-Car and told me when my car is done to drop the Rent-A-Car off to them which I did. I handed them the Rent-A-Car key, but didn t realize that my house key was hooked to the key ring, so I called, I even stopped by and nobody knew where my house key was which was really bizarre and I had to get my whole house locks changed due to them losing my key. Where is my key? I am very unsatisfied, and will not recommend this Gerber collision to anybody. This is the worst experience I ve had in my life , these people do not respect other peoples property and when I try to talk to a manager they re always telling me he s in a meeting or he left for the dayServices: Painting, Body & Trim

Went to Gerber Collison on Preist after an accident. With Gerber being affiliated with my insurance company, Geico, the process was very simple. Brian and his team are amazing. From appointment, rental car pickup, updates, and car being done was peaceful and hassle free. Thank you.

(For reference I got rear-ended and I took my car in on Monday and had my car back on Wednesday!) I love using Gerber Collision. I have been taking my car to the location in Chandler, and recently moved and decided to take it to the Priest location this time. Both locations did a fantastic job on my car. I will say, however, that the front desk people at the Chandler location are a lot more friendly, and make you feel a lot more welcome. The Priest location's front desk people are okay, being a receptionist myself, they were not very attentive or had a sense of urgency to help you, when you are already stressed out or in a difficult situation with your car. They seemed apathetic, and front desk receptionists (no matter your real mood), we have to be welcoming and greet people with a smile. The Priest location s front desk people could maybe use a smile every once in a while, but I know it can be hard sometimes in that role. With that being said, I got to meet the men who physically worked on my car and fixed it and they went absolutely above and beyond. They were standing outside when I picked up my car and asked me how it looked, if I liked it, and were so kind and friendly. I noticed a pretty bad black spot on the majority of my backseat (completely my doing, not Gerber's) but I didn't notice it when I had dropped my car off because it was hidden under some of my things. These guys immediately came over and looked at it and went to get their detail man and he came and tried to get the spot out of my seat!! It wasn't even their responsibility, their job was already done, and they were on their break! And they STILL helped me out and tried to make my car look the best that it could. They are an awesome team and I am so glad I got to meet them. Please give those men a raise! They deserve it!

Paint had orange peal, Trunk Was misaligned, Had to go over my way to return 3x. Won t return your call even if you gave contact info. Front desk did an excellent job but had no communication with workers. Trunk wasn t fix won t return. Take your car somewhere else don t recommend.Service: Body & TrimService: Body & Trim

Someone hit my car and there was some minor damage to my driver side door. The damage was mostly aesthetic, but caused the door to catch against the fender every time it was opened. I dropped off my car in the rain on Friday and it was ready to pick up before end of business the following Monday. They worked with the rental company and sent me text updates to up to date with everything. I would recommend this shop to anyone!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I took my 2017 Honda Civic in for a scratch. When I got an estimate and quote they said I needed to remove my grill and get the part "readjusted" to look factory. I honestly didn't notice until they pointed it out. When I took it in to get repaired, they called me because they also didn't notice the part was in need of being readjusted. I had to point out what I was made aware of by one of THEIR staff. They did the repair with a few extra charges claiming they needed to replace some clips. I did not mind the additional cost since it was to be covered by the responsible party so long as my car was back to factory condition. When I got the car back and after a week the part was loose and looking worse than when I bought it in.I let them know and asked for it to be repaired back to factory issued condition as they claim on their advertising and also asking that they honor their lifetime guarantee. They looked it in again and said it could not be fixed because it was a manufacturer's defect and asked me to "look at other Civics" because they all have the same issue. I have friends with the same car and it did not have the "defect". In short they were trying to pass the buck. When I refused to take that as an answer they begrudgingly tried to fix it again.When I received it again, the part had a big uneven gap and guess what? The original scratch was still there. They just masked it and did not fix it.I called their District Manager to let him know and he said I would have to pay to have the repair done the right way. So what did I bring it in for except for them to not fix what they were supposed to fix and on top of that make my car look worse?Ultimately they tried to get out of their responsibility by just trying to refund me instead of fixing what they did not fix the first time. Also they left the part looking worse than when it came in and simply tried to blame their shoddy work on Honda. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT bring your car here!!!Update 10/12/19Response to my review is completely false as the only damage that was on the car was what they quoted for, charged to fix, and what further damage they did. I have pictures and quotes from their other establishment in Mesa to prove they are flat out lying. Not to mention the fact that they are now not returning my requests to get clarification on what they did to try and fix their mistakes, which caused more issues.The fact that they intentionally misrepresented the issue to cover a bad review is enough to label them beyond shady at this point.@Gerber in Tempe take responsibility for what your company neglected to do at first and then what they did, haphazardly to try and fix it which caused more damage. If you fail to respond in reasonable time legal action will be imminent. Don't test me.

They said it would take 8 days to fix my car. It took 5 weeks. When my car was ready I found body panel gaps, a light fascia that was not installed properly and the seats stained with grease or oil. It took another week to fix those issues. When I finally drove the car there were several odd noises. When I asked them to fix it they said I needed two front tires. They then lied to my insurance company about how they isolated the sound. Something they never told me. These people are dirty rotten scoundrels. Total crooks. Horrible customer service. Never take your car to any Gerber.

Our van was vandalized and we had to get the sliding door window replaced, and we had a collision that needed repairs on the fender and bumper and side dents, as well. Our van looks brand new now! The attention to detail is outstanding and we appreciate the hard work and professionalism that Brian provided, and the front desk employees provided and the great job the repair people did. Thank you!

This place was recommended by our Insurance Company for our collision, so I read the good reviews and thought this was the right choice for our vehicle. Well, here I am 2 months later and have had the worst experience. A month ago they sent us an update saying all they had left was to paint the front fender and we should have our vehicle ready in a week. That week turned into 2 weeks, which turned into 3 week, then 4 weeks. I normally don't like to write bad reviews but this is insane to have to wait this long.

Update! This location is now under new management and contacted me after seeing my review. I'm happy to report that my truck is no longer making noise and the headlight and door are fixed too! Thank you Feryl and Brian K!My truck was "repaired" here after an accident. Even after taking it back TWICE I still have noise from the front end and my passenger side headlight won't stay plugged in. Just gonna fix it on my own because it's better than dealing with the clowns at this place.

Had my vehicle dropped off on 6/7 and was told my vehicle was going to be ready on 6/12. They actually completed my vehicle by the 10th and It looks like I was never side swiped. Great customer service as well as speedy but quality service as well. Thanks to Brian Kelly for explaining everything that was going to happen to my vehicle as well as keeping me updated with emails every time something was done.

They done an excellent job with my Lexus! I was a bit weary of the mixed reviews but I seen others saying that this location is being ran by new manangement so i gave it a shot. And I am very thankful that I did.. they seriously went out of their way to make sure that I was satisfied with my repair and they done it a bit quicker than the estimated time which was great because I was beginning to miss my car lol. Overall I would definitely recommend.

Had to take my car in there after being hit. Within 30 min of arriving they assessed the damage and I was on my way. The staff was friendly a quick. I got regular updates on the progression of the work. When I got the car back, the repairs were done well and they blended the paint well. No criticism here, great job.
