They do reliably great work, never gouge, and are incredibly helpful. This is the first place I bring my vehicles when I'm not interested in trying to fix them myself.I'm sure they can't do this in all situations, but they even found a buyer for one of my cars when its transmission went out, and offered great advice on a reliable make/model I might consider next. Interactions with them aren't just painless, they go above and beyond.Thank you American Five Star!

Eric and his crew are truly amazing. He is always willing to help his people by going over any beyond with excellence customer service. He is always very honest and does not try to get you to pay all these high fees like dealers and other mechanics to fix your car.Thank you for always being honest but most important taking care of my cars when I have to get them repaired. I am grateful to finally find someone I can trust with my cars.

My car's check engine light was lit. The code indicated trans problems. I knew that was often expensive. I took it to another local repair service with a number of locations in the valley. It became apparent they did not know what they were doing. I brought it to American 5 Star and had a completely different experience. Trans fixed. Fee was reasonable. Car drives completely differently now. It changes gears at the right times and feels faster because the rpms match the need. Kudos to this company. I would not go anywhere else.

I have been taking several vehicles to American Five Star for years now. I have had three transmissions rebuilt there and Eric completely rebuilt a 1968 Bronco for me. I cannot say enough about the customer service and the quality of the work coming out of this shop. I highly recommend and have recommended them to many of my friends and family members. Just a good/quality business with good people running it. Five Star gets five stars from me.

We take our cars to Chad, our mechanic, who does excellent work. He always treats us fairly, is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. Five Star keeps us informed of what's needed before starting work and provides an accurate estimate up front. My first time stepping foot in American 5 Star Auto repair. We have many choices out there. I chose five star because I had the pleasure being greeted by Rusty the service advisor. He reassured all the work that needed to be done they could complete and we're highly qualified to do so. He listened to me as a customer and did exactly what I expected to be done. He's very knowledgeable along with the technician that worked on the car. I was calling to check on progress he never made me feel as though I was taking up too much of his time. I knew it was a big job and I felt confident it would be done right the first time without missing any steps no regrets whatsoever. In American 5 Star Auto repair and transmission has been in business since 1993 30 years you've got to be doing something right. Be sure to call and make an appointment don't wait.

I was recommended this place by a coworker, my CEL and skid warning(tpms) had come on so I took it here to be looked at, while they did a full diagnosis, even holding it over night to find the issue, they gave me a high quote on parts and charged too much for a diagnostic only. Needless to say I won't be coming back :/

I took my car to different places for diagnostic to verify if they all came up with the same issue and some were dishonest. This place did a quick diagnostic with open availability and worked with my service contract. I was able to pick up my Jeep same day for replacement of my motor mounts. The waiting area is really unique, retro style with comfy recliners, cold a/c, clean bathroom, and some good old country music (at low volume in case you don't like it). To top it all off, they are all very friendly, even the mechanics.

Eric and his team at American 5-star once again saved the day by quickly repairing my classic Datsun 240Z. Even classic, upgraded cars are no problem for them. From replacing the starter, fan clutch and brake booster, they do it all. And their preliminary cost estimate is always spot on. And special thanks to Kathy for always being super helpful and polite.

Cool little waiting room. The repair was successfully accomplished.The Receptionist was super nice when we dropped our car off on Wednesday. Unfortunately they were quite a bit off on the estimate of how long it was going to take. We were told we would get our car back the following day. Thursday afternoon, we were told the repair would be done on Friday. But on Friday we were told they still hadn't finished it. This caused my husband to lose a weekend's worth of work, since we didn't get his car back till Monday.

My car is basically a bucket and it needed emergency repairs. Rusty and his team did AMAZING! Rusty was able to explain everything to me and made me feel stress free about my situation. They are a local business that definitely cares about the community and making sure problems are solved. Definitely was worth every penny! Never have I ever been to such a superb mechanic shop. So very knowledgeable, honest, and friendly, not to mention skilled. Their prices go beyond a fair deal, and they actually care about their many loyal customers. I'll be going out of my way to do business with them now that I live on the other side of town. And you know what? More than worth it.

So I bring my 2011 335d in to this shop for an oil change and then eventually I bent my rear control arm and then suspension work and over the year I ve probably brought it in 5 times for repairs and 5 for oil changes and regular maintenance. I absolutely love bringing my car here because I don t have to worry about something happening, it s well kept and locked up at night. I ve been to 10+ shops over the years. My only issue with this shop is they don t work on motorcycles so I have to go somewhere else for that. I don t really write reviews but after seeing a couple bad ones I felt like I hade to share my experiences. This place is an absolute joke! I took my Grand Prix GXP in for a simple fix. A wheel hub sensor. Threw my ABS control off. Had the exact same problem in a 2005 Bonneville GXP and proceeded in putting a new hub sensor in. Fixed it in less than 20 minutes. They supposedly ran a diagnostic test on it which is a lie. They lost the envelope with my keys in it conveniently around lunch time. It took them almost 45 minutes to call me back to let me know that they found my car keys. They also never touched my car all day until I physically showed up. The lady Kat that answers the phone bold face lied when she was confronted about it via phone. I took my car into a 5 star shop that has great reviews and is a very reputable company and very professional. I was informed that the Diagnostic Test that was supposedly ran was not that. It was as just a scan. Not even a real diagnostic test. I was charged almost $300 for nothing. Or shall I say I was charged $300 for them to not touch my car. Work wise. I m almost sure that they took my car out for lunch. I kept track of the mileage before I even dropped it off. Don t ever take your vehicle to this shop!!!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Took my bmw in to get my tire fixed and a few other things. Usually dealing with my bmw is stressful but they made it super easy for me and they were super quick. The front desk worker (can't remember her name) was really helpful and polite. Makes the whole process less hectic. Will definitely be back.

I brought my Pontiac G6 in for front wheel alignment, everyone was courteous and helpful. My car was serviced in a timely manor and the price was great! I needed my catalytic converter fixed/replaced I failed emissions. Five Star performed an amazing job in a quick and timely manner. I would recommend them to anyone in need of auto service repair. Kat is very pleasant and explains all in detail. Five Star gets 10 stars from me.

This place is great! Trustworthy, fast, and friendly. My Lexus failed emissions. I called them and they got me in next business day. They diagnosed my vehicle, made the repair, had it retested for emissions, and called me 2 days later to let me know if was ready to be picked up. I have no worry when it is time to take care of my car with American 5 Star Transmission! Zero worry. I have been a regular customer for several years now. Each visit there are helpful friendly honest staff to communicate to me what my car actually needs at a fair price and turnaround time. I came in with a transmission issue. They were friendly and knowledgeable. Every time they came to tell me what was wrong and what they're suggestion was they brought the parts to the lobby to show me the broken part/issue which bolstered my trust in them. One of the guys even walked me back to look at the vehicle to show me exactly what was wrong and explain what needed to be fixed and why. It's hard sometimes to find a trustworthy mechanic and one that goes to the effort to explain and not talk down to you (especially as a woman), but I definitely felt they were trustworthy and respectful. I will absolutely be coming back with car issues and for regular service. I was very pleased and impressed with their service today.

My second visit was welcoming and the mechanics did a wonderful job fixing my head lights and license plate lights for good price. I also appreciate the 5% back rewards on services considering maintaining a older vehicle can be very expensive. American Five Star auto deserves 5 stars and lives up to their business name! Thank you for your top quality service.

These guys gave me honest work and pricing. A couple projects I got done there in 2022: transmission oil & filters (2) change and valve cover gasket replacement. They communicated well and were willing to communicate, which is a bigger deal than many people realize.
