This place is a joke. I took my Toyota in here for an inspection and he said I needed 3 thousand dollars worth of work done to my suspension and other components. After doing my own full inspection and tests, come to find out all I needed was a tie rod and a tire balance. Shop owner named Porsche is a absolute joke. Dude only replies to voicemails and recommends work when it s not needed. He made my girlfriends dad pay for an oil pan when the oil was leaking from a oil cooling line. So after doing my the pan he said he had to do the oil lines. This Chinese dude is a tool. Don t take your cars here unless you wanna spend more money on things you don t need.

I can't recommend this shop enough. Best customer service I've ever experienced. The attention to detail and quality of work done to my car's modifications and maintenance were amazing. I will be recommending Porsche, Lucky, and his team to all who are seeking a quality shop going forward.

Porsche runs a great shop. Been using Akina motors for years. Nothing fancy, just honest repair work. Does everything from basic oil change to more advanced engine repair. Has worked on my car (2006 4 runner), my son's car (1998 land cruiser) and my grandson's car (Ford Focus). If looking for a quick cheap fix NOT FOR YOU. Quality work at a reasonable price. Well worth the trip to Tempe. Thanks

I had some aftermarket work done here at Akina and the quality of their customer service has exceeded any auto shop that I have been to before. All of this on top of their incredible job they did working on my car. Very few times have I taken my car to a shop to get exactly the repairs needed to keep it running strong. These guys are awesome and have taken great care of my 240SX and Prelude over the past couple years. Very friendly and caring, and excellent on pricing. They even offer a discount if your car is an import! I recommend this place to everyone for car care. From simple repairs to extraneous labor, they will definitely have you covered.

Honest and quick!!! I never leave reviews but this experience was worth mentionong...We met with Porsche when we needed a second opinion after receiving an inflated quote from the dealership. Porsche took the time to give a full inspection of our vehicle to correctly identify the true problem, and actually saved us almost $1000!!It is hard to find a trust worthy mechanic, if you are not familiar with cars, but Porsche will take to time to earn your business honestly, as opposed to trying to make a quick buck.We will definitely be taking all of our vehicles from now on!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I wanted to update my review that I have continued to bring different cars in to them and their still providing fantastic service and at great prices. They have done up grade work on my Mazdaspeed as well as precision bead work on welding. They provide on point recommendations on upgrades for performance and calibrations for more horse power.Been taking my cars to them for a couple months for some work done on the AC and they been AWESOME. Honest as well, they even showed me the old parts that was replaced and turned out my old mechanic robbed me and did not do the work as promised. Akina has even stood behind their service and warrentied anything that was wrong from their service and I have yet to have any issues. I'll be bringing my cars to them now far on. Fast service as well!

We have been taking our cars, Subaru and Tiburon to Akina for nearly 10 years. Our experience has been Wonderful! They are honest and reliable. We live in Florence and go to the trouble of taking our cars all the way to Tempe in order to have Akina take care of them. Our first experience with them was when they installed a rebuilt engine in our Tiburon for a very reasonable price--AFTER the dealership had screwed it up! Have never had a problem with the engine.since they began maintaining it.Don't know what happened with the guy who wrote the awful review here, sounds like sour grapes to me. If his car stayed there that long it's most likely because he didn't pay for the work and they had to get a mechanic's lien to recover their cost. I owned an auto repair shop in Houston years ago..."been there, done that."Strongly recommend these guys, Tell them John & Jo sent you.

I took my 1967 Mustang coupe into Akina for a tune up and complete once over. The staff was extremely professional and communicated the issues with my car very quickly. The quality and quick service was very much appreciated. Akina Motor Sportz is a very reputable shop that I will be going back to if need be. Highly recommended!

I took my car for a water pump replacement, it's a very difficult task, 6-8 hours job. So I was looking for a good shop that has experience with the job. I took my car to Akina Motor Sportz, Porche has done that before, so I decided to it with them. He gave me a very good price, and the he did an excellent. I'd definitely recommend the shop to anyone.

The guys at Akina are great. We needed our engine replaced. They gave us a good price ($1000 less than another local repair shop) and the work was done just as they promised. Porche was upfront with every step of the process. It's hard to find a good auto repair place that you trust but I felt like these guys were straight up. Thumbs up.

I have been going to Akina for many years and each time I have had the best experience. Porsche and all the guys at Akina are honest and extremely knowledgeable. They explain everything to me clearly and in a manner that I will understand so that I feel comfortable about what is being done. The prices are fair and service is excellent and efficient. I have recommended Akina to many friends and family members and they have all had the same great experience. If you are looking for a local mechanic that has ties to the valley and provides an excellent and efficient experience, than Akina is the place to go.

I bought an aftermarket VVT-i solenoid. They installed it very quickly and offered a 30 day money back guarantee. I felt the difference after 30 miles of driving, significant improvement to my acceleration. Give Akina Motorsports a try, they will not disappoint you.

I just moved out here and my radiator started leaking, I knew with 260k miles on my Tacoma it was due. I'm leaking oil and the front seal needed to be replaced as well. Porsche (Owners name) was sensitive to budget and took care of the most urgent items. He also took the extra mile and power washed my truck engine to identify a few more not so urgent leaks I will be taking to them to repair soon.Great service and delivered repaired truck ahead of time as it is my only transportation.Thanks Porsche!

Dishonest company that does not stand by their warranty. I had a reputable shop install the engine in my daughters car. When it failed 2 months later I took it back to the shop as they instructed me to do. Josh and another person came to the shop and said it was not anything we did wrong. He told the shop they would send another engine and also called me to tell me the same thing. The next day Josh calls and says the decided not to warranty the engine. Don't waste your money at this place.

Everything from the service to the people all around Excellent! I didnt have much trouble with any process like most auto shops quick and easy! If you want a fast build on your whip I highly recommend coming here. They get shipments weekly so anything you order is fast, in your car and ready to roll. I highly recommend coming here for any maintenance or performance on your car.

I needed a 98 Forester 4:11 ration transmission for a project and Akina had one at their warehouse with low mileage. I placed half down for the order and picked it up the next day. It had a warranty, but did not need it as the tranny has worked great. They were very helpful and honest.

Akina Motorsportz is the place to take your vehicle for ANYTHING!! From my car simply needing an oil change, to needing more serious work done, Akina can take care of it all. They have great friendly and honest staff, are quick at their flawless work, yet they take the time to explain all the necessary things your vehicle needs. It is obvious that all the mechanics truly enjoy being at work, which makes for the best experience from a customers point of view. I have been taking my Scion TC here for the past few years, and I wish I had been taking it longer. Forget the dealerships, or any other shops around town... Akina Motorsportz is the place to go.

I cannot thank Josh and his crew enough for helping me out of a jam! My AC went out on my 2003 TAHOE (yes they work on domestics as well!!) and another shop tried to tell me it was going to be 250 to fix.. Not the case at Akina!! A good friend recommended I bring to them so I did and was not disappointed at all!! Everything fixed and 2.5 lbs of R34 filled up and she now blows cold!! All for 70!! Thanks again guys! I highly recommend this shop and will continue to bring my Tahoe to Akina!!

I bought an old beat up 1997 CIvic HX about a year ago. Before I bought it I had my vehicle inspected and was told that I would eventually need a new clutch and transmission. I drove it that way for a couple of months while I started searching for a reliable shop that could do the swap professionally and stand by their work. One day I came across the Akina Motor Sports website and I knew I had found the right place.I had my transmission, clutch, rear main seal, and oil pan gasket replaced at Akina a couple months back and couldn't be happier and all for MUCH less than the local Honda dealer had quoted. I know a lot of people go to Akina for performance parts but by old HX has the Vtec-E lean burn motor and was only purchased to be a gas mileage champ. Unexpectedly after all the work was done my average mpg went from 33 up to 36 mpg a 10% increase! I am very happy with the service I received at Akina and plan to take my old Toyota 4Runner in to get a new 22re and tranny when needed. Thanks Akina!

I have been going to Akina for about 2 years now, and I have nothing but the best experience everytime. It is a true father and son shop that loves each car as it is their own. They are always helpful and are willing to not only find me the cheapest prices but are trustworthy when fixing my car. I would reccomend anyone who needs basic car work or someone who is looking to turn a steet car into a track monster. A+++++

I was really happy with the purchase of my engine from here. The price was excellent and the motor ran great. They even helped with some advice when I got twisted around on the wiring. I will definitely recommend using them if you need a new engine.

I bought a transmission from Akina and got treated well. The transmission was as described and I received it when I was told. They delivered it to the shop. And it seems to work great. I brought the core back and was refunded the core charge immediately. Why is it that the people that write negative comments don't leave their name?

Great guys to talk to, very knowledgeable. Easy to work with on figuring out what needs done; especially on difficult Engine swaps. I had an RB25DE Neo placed into my 87' 300zx. The work included: All Custom Exhaust, Engine mounts, and Drive Shaft. Even the AC works. It took a little longer than i had wanted, but i was happy with the results. I am very pleased with the work done. it even looks like the RB25 was the original engine. Nice job!.I highly recommend them..

ive been going to akina for the last 4 or 5 years. ive never had an issue. they will bend over backwards to do what it take to fix your vehicle, and make you happy. i have never trusted a shop so much after being screwed over by so many others. i dont trust anyone else but Akina to work on my cars. always have and always will. the prices are fair and the quality is great. they are upfront and honest. just the best people to be around to, they make you feel like family. thanks guys!

I've been going to akina for about 5 years now and have never had an issue. they are always willing to go the extra mile and are very fair priced. i haven't found any shop that i trust as much as them, be it with my track car or the family car.

Pulled in my girls 99 4Runner 290k for timing belt, water pump, cam/crank seals, tensioners ect. at 10am and picked it up at 5pm same day. OEM parts, good warranty and great knowledge and service. Now she's good for another 100k. I will throw more work this way and I recommend Akina to everyone I know. You get what you pay for. Thanks you guys!!!

Bought a h23a vtec swap,mounts to swap into my eg hatch axles dropped a grip of money here everything seemed cool till I put swap in had oil prime motor before starting an soon as fired up had horrible rod knock. So I went to him nicely told him issue an he said I don't warranty high performance motors.I had just bought it haven't even put axles in yet haven't driven it at all.at the time since akina screwed me performance 1 heard about what happen an hooked me up with same motor for a steal.just know if motor has vtec from factory they will not warranty an is shady business.wasn't happy at all.I'm sure he done people good but not me.this happen a long time ago like 10 years ago but still shady is shady an people should know.

Super cool knowledgeable people! If you want to know how to make power the right way this is the place to go to. Currently building a nissan RB series engine and these guys usually have or can get the part I'm looking for, if not they point me in the right direction to find it.
