DO NOT WASH RV We stayed at this wonderful RV park and enjoyed a quick overnight stop on our cross-country journey. I always read the park rules about washing the RV. This park did not say you can t wash so I hand time and wanted to clean up my rig a little.BAD MISTAKE !!! There is so much calcium / minerals in the water it left my rig with sheets of white deposits. It took multiple wipe downs to remove the residual effects of the water.I m sure it is just that part of the country that has this type of water issue.

We have stayed at Copper Mountain as overnighters on our way to California. We enjoy this park and how friendly and helpful the owners/staff are here. We arrived later than expected and they stayed and waited and helped escort us to the pull thru spot. Great customer service we appreciate so much! They have planted multiple trees and landscape here, it will be even nicer once those trees grow.We didn't get a chance to check out any of the amenities as we were traveling, but I am sure they are outstanding and super clean like the areas we used. Will return, great value and so clean!Nice to have a spot outside of the busy areas.

I must say that the pictures of the RV Park posted by the owners are right on the mark they are as advertised. Not just the best parts. People are very friendly we even got invited to a barbecue by our neighbor, it was great food and the people were very welcoming. The atmosphere in the park is upbeat. You can come and enjoy yourself even if you don't have a side by side 4 wheeler. We will definitely be coming back here again. They have very clean dog park runs as well as very clean and well kept facilities such as the pool, rec center, laundry room etc. This park exceded our expectations.Nearby activities: Open spaces for walking. Lots of room for off-roading.Safety: People were friendly and felt very comfortable. No sketchy people.

This is my second stay at this park. Biggest improvement was paved roads to every graveled site. Everything is super clean. The many extras offered to their guests is truly a step above many places. Small town shopping and restaurants are 12 miles away. There is a truck stop that can be noisy but not overly bothersome. Train noise is not to bad and the line is lightly traveled. Spaces are super wide and many have a large cement patio. Utilities are easy access with all types in one box. Managers are very helpful and most seasonal guests are very nice.

This is a large park with paved roads. Sites are wide enough to park your vehicle next to your trailer. Sites are level, gravel with a large concrete patio. Only con with the site is the sewer connection was above our outlet. Plenty of dog parks (one with real grass).Laundry was large and very clean.Park is next to a Pilot that is busy. There was constant noise but it did not bother us. There are also a busy set of train tracks. We would stay agai

I'll start by saying we generally avoid RV parks, preferring to use state, county, and national parks, or most often boondocking in out of the way places. We prefer the nature, space, and privacy. But we needed a convenient place on our way back to California, and we wanted hookups. We only planned to stay one night but it was so comfy we hung longer. This park is very well run, super clean, has a nice pool, wide spaces, clean showers, and very kind and helpful hosts. Thanks Gary and Lynette.

Enjoyed our one-week stay in December. Positives: military discount, paved streets, good WiFi coverage in our large pull-thru spot, hummingbirds in the palo verde trees, heated pool (for the first few days) and more for sure. Not as positive: Location! Yes, the RV park is out in the desert, about 30 minutes from Desert Foothills, so we were expecting quiet and dark at night. It is located off I8, so there is some highway traffic noise, but not bad. However, there is a Pilot station on the adjacent corner of the property near our spot and the commercial trucks come and go all night, think backup-beapers in a well-lit parking lot. The occasional (?) frieght train makes itself heard as well, but we got used to those after the first night. Overall, I would recommend this park, but bring your earplugs and shades for those North end stays.

From a generous accomodation for a late check in to a pleasent conversation. Hosts we're awesome, friendly, and helpful. The sites seem well spaced out and came with sewage, non-potable water, 50-30-120 connections. Our family really enjoyed the pool during the hot summer sun and it was quiet for being close to the highway. Also very Military friendly.

Great overnight stop. I will stay here again. Most of the pull thru sites (transient sites) are a bit too close to the truck stop. Sites 11 & 12 are the furthest away from it, The higher numbers in that row are closer. they are on the northern side of the park, closest to freeway, truck stop and trains. I expect the southern end of the park would me much quieter. Trains do go by very often but I never hear them blow their horns, and they are on the other side of the freeway from the campground. And there is also freeway noise. If you are a light sleeper see if you can ask for a site on the southern end of the park.

Our last one night stand (before our glorious five days in San Diego) is Copper Mountain RV Park in Tacna, AZ. Somewhat confusing as we have not seen any copper, and there are no mountains anywhere close to us. This place is a sea of gravel; 200 plus slips and NO grass! We got one of the 25 FH pull-through slips. Completely level, 30 & 50 amp at the pedestal, nice selection on cable channels and Atomic WiFi. These hamsters are either genetically engineered or the size of Clydesdales because the download speed is a crazy 125 Mb! There is a large clubhouse with clean laundry and showers and the folks that run it are friendly and genuine. 9/10 with a point deduction that was at the insistence of Max and Mf. Winston due to a lack of grass. $50 for the night (and $1.50 for the ice cream sandwiches in the clubhouse freezer).Even though it was a balmy 118 degrees when we got here, I decided to hookup every hose I could find and perform an RV cleanse. Do not try this at home at any temperature unless you have watched countless You Tube videos and read lots of conflicting blog posts. (No RV parts were harmed in the execution of the cleanse/flush/purge/whatever)Pretty easy 313 miles over here on the slab through mostly desert. We were going to take a local road through Sedona however the sign said nothing over 30 ft and we re pushing 50+ towing the Bug so back on the slab. The gas stop in Gila Bend reminded us where gas and oil come from and diverted our attention from the $4.94/gallon (with my five cent Shell discount) price for 87.Great sunset and great owners however our two small senior dogs are completely spoiled and could not handle the lack of any grass.

This place is in a beautiful setting. It has the most beautiful sunsets. There are thousands of acres right outside your door for ATV riding. The trains that pass thru do not blow their horns plus they are about 1/2 mile away. Owners are very nice. There is a brand new pool. What we loved most about it was the setting. Large lots, great water pressure, quietness, 55 and over, and a RO water station that is free for you convenience. You cannot beat the price. Do not pass this place up! We are definitely coming back!

Probably the best RV Park we've ever stayed at. It's for 55+ folks, it's clean and has super nice restrooms/showers and laundry room. Linda and Scott are great managers and maintenance staff; very helpful. The common area/recreation room is large and set up for having a fun time. We are staying for the winter and are looking forward to the scheduled events. This is an update... We've stayed for two winters now and are still very happy we chose Copper Mountain. The owners and staff were concerned for our safety during the pandemic so measures were put in place to protect us.The extra curricular events are always fun. I actually learned how to make bread, rolls of all kinds, buttermilk biscuits and more, thanks to Lynette. She's a great cook also and a lot of us have benefitted from the dinners she's cooked!

Great hosts! Clean facilities. Super level spots. Pool!! Came in for one maybe two nights to get out of windy driving. Stayed extra night because it was so comfortable and quiet. Mid-May 2022.

We are still at this lovely RV Resort at Tacna, Arizona. The sites are wonderfully large, room for our 5th wheel, a nice patio and room for 2 vehicles and you are not encroaching on your neighbour's lot! There are planned events and burgers, ice cream evenings, Taco night and this week St. Patrick's Day Dinner! The people are friendly and there are lots of activities, paved roads and a pool! Great dog parks and lots of desert in which to walk! The staff are friendly, helpful and pleasant! This is a 5 star resort, closer than you think to Wellton and Yuma. Highly recommend!

Friendly owner and people. Monthlies are cheap. Seems like a fair amount of activities. Dog friendly. Nice access to desert. Well kept for what it is (flat gravel property with few trees). Clean property and showers. Huge spaces, but you may need to back in. A heated pool and hot tub would improve this place immensely!

Stayed 2 nights as planned. Nice resort. Fairly empty. Some long term folks, but short timers are given pull through sites on north side. You do hear highway traffic and trains, but trains don't whistle overnight. Clean, nice bathrooms and laundry facilities. 2 dog run areas. Not much in the area. Yuma is 45 minutes to the west.

Have spent a month here and plan to come back next year for 3 months. It is clean and quiet. People here are all friendly. Have good meeting room - hold breakfasts and ice cream socials/bingo as well as line dance lessons. Quilters also use the room. The library is adequate and the laundry is quite adequate. Can't beat the price! $190/mo. They have shuffleboard and horse shoe courts too Several peoplr play cards too. Excellent location. Just 20 minutes from Yuma.

We have been here for 2 weeks so far, with plans on staying for another 6 weeks. This is a nice huge park, with very large spaces. This is a great place to be if you dont like all the hub-ub of being in a large overcrowded park. We have propane delivered to our coach on request, they have a mobile-grooming service that comes into park about once a month, and she is marvelous. (better than any groomer that i have ever used, in fact). The monthly rate to camp here, you cant beat..... See Ya

The best part of this place is the price and large RV spaces, but you have to deal with a smell that comes through from a nearby cow feeding plant if you're sensitive to odors don't chance it, gets pretty bad a few times a week. Also, the water is smelly and I had to flush my system to get the smell out. I did not feel welcome and was threatened by an employee for walking over a mound of dirt that separates spaces. The rules state no vehicles on mounds behind RV but the rules don't say you can't walk over them. The guy was rude and gave a bad vibe. I actually left a week early. The Internet is terrible and the TV signal they provide is poor. No Pool, no propane and interstate noise, as well as many trains day and night, not much around the area Yuma, is the closest place to find a decent place to eat.

I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Copper Mountain RV Park. We saw the ad and it said it was only $190 per month so we thought what the heck, let's go check it out, after we had been boon-docking for about a month. This place is awesome. It is fairly new; I want to say less than 3 years old. The managers were extra friendly and treat you like family. The rec hall is amazing; roomy and clean. They have a lot of activities such as bingo, cards, ice cream socials, exercise groups, pool tables, TV, an occasional breakfast and so many more, to many things to mention. The sites are the biggest we have ever seen in an RV Park. If you are in to ATVing than this is the place for you; with trails leaving right from the park. It is only about a 20 drive into the foothills for shopping, but Wellton also has some shopping and it's only 10 miles away. We would definitely stay there again!

Yeah, they support the troops as long as you're active duty. Called them as a passing bicycle tourist & identified myself as an army vet but since I'm not active duty they have nothing for me. I get it, they don't normally allow tent camping. And kudoz that they allow active duty personnel to tent for free. Still, rubs me raw that a vet on a bicycle in this desolate land gets no comfort here. I'm sure it's a wonderful place. I'll never know.

Nice friendly clean park near I-8. They take Passport America. Mostly Snowbirds in the winter. Mostly empty in the summer. They have a dedicated pullthru section for overnighters. It's the perfect overnight stop between our home and Southern California

We stayed one month at Copper Mountain RV Park. We found it to be a very nice park with friendly staff. The monthly rate was the best we've seen in years. It was nice to get out in the country away from Yuma and Foothills.Tacna is a bit rough looking but has a Post Office, Circle K, and small food store the Gonzo Market. Also Welton AZ is not far away, it has two food markets and a few other stores and restaurants. If you stop in Tacna try to visit the Dobson Museum which is just north of town. The campground has information. Some reviews I read mention the smell from the cattle feed lot (130,000 cows) about six miles away near Welton. We smelled the cows a few times at the campground as well as Tacna and Welton but it was only a few times and not a big problem.
