Came in Saturday when they first opened to see about getting an exhaust installed. It was right when they opened at 8am, went inside to a small pitch black office with a guy sitting in a chair with his pants pulled down to his knees. Not sure what he was doing but was startled and pulled his pants back up, I don't think he knew I saw him sitting there. I told him what I needed and he said he had to get someone from the back. Another guy came out who I had to repeat everything to and he called someone on the phone to tell them. After a 10 minute phone call, he said they'd be able to do the work but it would be a while because they were really busy. There was no one else there so after waiting 20 minutes I decided to go somewhere else. I explained to the new place what just happened and he said he knows the techs there and they are really weird and shady. He also said he's heard of multiple customers having uncomfortable experiences as well.

Came here from a referral from J&J Tire and I was not disappointed. I needed a simple exhaust tip installation. Chop the old ones, weld the new ones. Other shops around needed appointments, wanted the car for hours, and wanted to charge well over $100. I pulled up here, told them what I was looking for and 20 minutes later I was driving away with my new exhaust tips on. Appreciated the no-nonsense approach and speed with which I was taken care of

We've been coming to Surprise Mufflers for over 10 years. We bring all our trucks for exhaust upgrades. Fernando and his boys do a fantastic job. Great work and reasonable prices. We recommend all our family and friends.

So I m giving Surprise Mufflers 4 stars instead of 5 for one specific reason customer service, or lack thereof. My experience here was very interesting to say the least. I won t go into specifics, but the one guy that spoke English, there s only two guys at the shop, needs work on communicating with customers. He made me feel very awkward, to the point I almost left and didn t have them work on my truck. I only brought my truck here because they had good reviews. I didn t need work done, I wanted to get work done, and I like to give my business to local shops and not national chains. I will admit, the work they did came out awesome! Very clean and nice welds, and my truck sounds amazing now, and that s worth the 4 stars.Unfortunately, I won t go back here because of the communication.I had asked for a quote for some work on my son s truck. They said they need to see the truck to know about spacing and hangers??? I told him that I know exactly what we re wanting done on it and just want a quote, but he couldn t give me one. I will go somewhere else where I know I can call ahead of time and get a quote before making an extra trip just so they can see the vehicle. I know other shops can quote over the phone, I ve had it done before. Sorry, I don t have time to make a separate trip, again, just to look at it, then give me a ballpark quote before ordering parts, then give me the final price right before the work gets started on the second visit. I did this with mine and it was a pain. I waited a week between visits to fit it into my schedule. And to top it off, right before they start the work, they tell you the price, and oh by the way, it s cash. And if you use a card, it s $30 more! What? I don t carry several hundred dollars in cash around with me. I would ve stopped to get some before, had I known.Oh yeah,PS don t take photos of anything on their walls!

Don't waste your time with this place. I had to get another shop to do what I wanted and fix what these clowns screwed up costing me more time and money. This place is a joke.

Got catalytic converters on my 86 F150 awhile back and it was cheap and quick and quality work. Just got complete dual exhaust on my 2000 Tundra and I was not expecting it to sound so amazing! Very happy with the price and work!

The exhaust manifold on my 2004 Mini Cooper S broke at the forward seam of the pre-cat. I brought the part in, and one of the gentleman welded it back together for a very reasonable price. They saved me more than 350 bucks - the extra cost of me replacing it with an aftermarket part. They did this at very short notice on a Saturday. I literally called them 30 minutes prior to dropping off the part! Great job! I will use this shop again if need be. I will also research the smaller shops in that same plaza for other vehicle needs in the future as well.Service: Exhaust

I m from Illinois and I needed some exhaust work done to my diesel while on vacation. I went to 4 different muffler shops around Phoenix before I found these guys. They got me in same day & out within 2 hours. They were confident about the situation and did a really good job. I highly recommend

Our muffler in the 2003 Suburban was rattling so loudly I almost refused to drive it.We drove into Surprise Muffler and my husband asked me where he should park because the lot shares quite a few different shops.I told him to pull right up in front of the door and leave it running so they could hear it and they'll be so annoyed they'll want to fix it right away.Well, I was partly right- they did want to fix it right away- but he wasn't annoyed- he was laughing. Haha. It was nice to see someone who could add a little humor to the situation.He pulled the beast in and welded the hanger back on. $40 and we were on the road again -quietly- in just minutes.I'd go back for sure but hope I don't have to!

These guys did a great job on my 2005 Ford Mustang Roush. Clean welds and solid muffler install. I'm going to bring my 1987 Muatang GT after 4th of July for new tail pipe install.

Fantastic experience. Very professional, low cost, excellent weld quality and placement. Got me right in with no wait. No glitz or gimmicks just excellent work at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

I read some good reviews on this place - Not seeing it. I'm restoring an old car and removed my own pipes and drove them down. Asked them to duplicate them. One front pipe and one rear pipe. They charged me $150 (a bit steep but I didn't feel like shopping). They made the bends wrong and gave me the wrong size rear pipe. When I returned to have them fix the piece they screwed up, They just cut the pipe and turned it (not a 2 piece set anymore). Then he wanted to charge another $100 to remake the piece. Now I have $150 of scrap metal and I will pay someone else to do it correctly.Poor communication!Poor customer service!Poor craftsmanship!Poor Ethics!

Does an excellent job, makes sure you know and understand what you need for your vehicle and shows you what they need to do, to make your vehicle right again. Would highly recommend! Thanks for the work on the nissan pickup!

I've been to several places and Fernando is the best. He not only does a great job but explains and understand exhaust systems. There is a guy in Tolleson M&B or something like that. The guy has a lot of customers and wells well but I hate the fact they do not tell you what your options are. Most importantly very expensive. I now take my Audi S4 and Mercedes to Fernando.

Best muffler shop! Staff is friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable! I highly recommend Blake who was able to advise and direct me to the exact sound I was looking for. He is very meticulous with his work and it shows! Would highly recommend!

If you are looking for a honest man and the best value for your dollar, this is the place. They really take time to explain the differences between mufflers and treat you like family. Thank you to the guys that work here. This will be my only spot for any exhaust work

They fixed a problem with my rattling exhaust in just a half an hour. I'm very happy with how quick and easy the process was and he even helped me out with an issue that was unrelated, will come here for my exhaust needs!

We had an issue with the wrong catalytic converter getting replaced since my vehicle had two of them. Took the vehicle back and told them. They were willing to work with me to get the problem corrected. I would highly recommend them if you need work done.

I've had all my cars and trucks done here. They did my performance exhaust years ago as well. They listen they help I highly recommend them.
