We recently attended a funeral in Superior and stayed one night in rm#4. Friends stayed here before and said their room was ok.During our stay it was cold. After checking in at 5:00pm and going to dinner at Los Hermanos we returned to a cold room. I reported the heater not working. I was given a little electric heater which was in use in another room. It helped break the chill but the room never warmed up. I went across the street and purchased 2 blankets. The bathroom and shower were not clean and the shower did not drain, which I reported. The room can use some attention.

Stayed for one night there very recently. The website photos sold me on my decision and they re descriptive sounds good. Upon arrival Kind of a nightmare. If you need a bed to sleep in and make it through the night it ll do but it s double of what it s worth in price, so be prepared. I appreciate vintage motels very much, but this was not one by any means. Not sure if the photos that I saw online were stock photos but my room looked nothing like the room I got assigned to. Not even a cup in the room for drinking water , and was hesitantly offered a Styrofoam cup at the lobby which is shaky as well. I would advise to steer clear.

Oh good golly. We stayed here at the end of 2022, while working on moving to AZ to work for a while, and holy cow. We had a few days before we could move into our permanent place, and we ended up getting out of dodge and just killing a few days way down in Tombstone instead of staying here - as much as I like Superior. There were cigarette burn holes in the blankets, and there were little tree car air fresheners hanging on the walls that were so potent it was making us cough. The shower was tile, which was cracked with residue built up. The water was somewhere between lukewarm and freezing, so you were almost able to comfortably shower, and the water pressure was just about nonexistent. The heater in the room just blew outside air in, despite being cranked all the way up, so the room was freezing. Thankfully I had plenty of extra blankets for my toddler. The owner seemed nice, and made sure we had towels, so I'll give them that. And it's central in Superior, so you're close to the park and everything. But overall, wouldn't recommend.

Refrigerator never cleaned, bathroom exhaust fan doesn't work and no cold water to take a shower and middle of summer so you sweet before you can even get dressed. 2 rooms and only 1 window ac in one of the rooms so the room with no ac was really worm so I didn't get a good night sleep due to sweating. But to top it off rooms are infested with bed bugs. I got home after working out of town with little bumps on my body that itched, to find out they were bed bug bites. Don't recommend staying here.

The room was a partially clean room, the armchair and ottoman were stained, the comforter was also not washed before our arrival, the drawer inside the dresser also was not clean. The air conditioner was on which was a nice way to enter on a warm day. If you have a pet they will charge extra though they wanted 25.00 each night. It is not posted that there is a charge on their website, so beware. Since we were not aware they did discount the price per night for our pet. We gave it 2 stars because we did not have hot water. Make sure you test the water before you commit to the room. It is one of 2 places to stay in the area so not many choices. We would stay again for business but would check the room before we commit.

It was great! The owners went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel comfortable and make sure we had everything we needed. We found some great restaurants nearby and everyone we met there in Superior was friendly! The surrounding mountains are beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the little porch of our room watching the sunsets every evening. It was quiet and a wonderful overall experience. I recommend them to anybody who wants a nice, quiet, clean place with friendly faces and a great atmosphere!

Price was right! VERY nice owners, trying to do their best, and the structure is old.... overall, we had a lovely time and have no complaints.Shower had PLENTY of hot water, with good water pressure, bed was comfy (only 1 small pillow per person), no bed-side lamp...only the overhead light!

I am the founder and director of a nonprofit organization that provides backcountry camps for kids and special needs individuals. I spend a good part of the year traveling the state for various reasons with Arizona Outdoor Adventures. On many occasions, I have the need for lodging. I recently stayed at Copper Mountain Motel in Superior, Arizona. During that time, I became acquainted with Sam, the go-to person at Copper Mountain. She is a hard worker and a very welcoming lady. She has taken this older motel and renovated it with a lot of tender loving care.If you're looking for fancy, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for a very comfortable place to stay and a very welcoming lady you must get in touch with Sam. The beds are very comfortable and there is a refrigerator with freezer and a large microwave in the rooms. Even though the place is very old and still in need of some work, most importantly, the rooms are very comfortable. It's just a short distance to incredible places to eat and an upgraded convenience store is down the road a mile or so.In my travels, I don't find many places like Copper Mountain. It will be my go-to place whenever I'm in this particular part of the state. Enjoy.

Room was not maintained. No trim around door. Not able to get Wifi even though I asked for help. Door to the room didn t lock well very hard to get it to lock. Shades would not open . Curtain was not on a rod just thrown up on up on bracket for rod. Fan could not be adjusted or turned off when light was on. Missing bulbs in fan light. Table light switch did not work. Staff barged into room before I checked out didn t even knock.

I stayed her for work purposes. The motel is in good living conditions but if u are a luxurious person or ur house looks better than this place don t expect a fancy experience. I like it, cheap place compared to Magma Hotel that is also alright for $200 per night. I think Copper Motel is good for a night or two it has running water, cooler, refrigerator, microwave, tv, and it s clean! Staff there is very kind too!

I stayed here during a construction job. The manager Sam is wonderful and became a friend who loves to show off local hiking. Close to off road adventures and the price is right. They are continuing to upgrade and is worth it for the price. You should find trailer parking and Sam will help. Thanks for the great stay.

We have been traveling for 5 days. Each day a new place to sleep. I love this place. First bed that didn't hurt my back, hot hot shower, and the owners are very willing to accommodate with whatever you need. If your looking for a high dollar hotel, Vegas is a couple hours north. If your looking for an affordable place to sleep, that's safe, and supports small business - stay at the Copper Mountain. We will definitely be back!!!

The Motel was very nice. Very clean! The restaurant next door was delicious as well. The woman behind the desk gave us a great review for the restaurant and she was right. The only thing that could be added was in our room there was a tile floor and no rug. The floor was very cold in the morning. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay.

No working light in the restroom, communicated the issue and was never fixed on a 6 night stay. I talked to the front desk and told them my husband would be staying 6 days each week for the upcoming 3-4 weeks. They gave away his room so now he doesn't have a place to stay for work at the mine. The bed was also horrible. I will not recommend unless it's your last resort.

Basic accommodations. Bugs, termites, minimal sockets that worked. The mattresses were okay once we got into them. Old, old place of cinder blocks. But the family who ran it was wonderfully accommodating and friendly. I it served it's purpose.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I try to be honest and fair with my Google reviews and this may be the ONLY 1 star review I've left, but this place either needs to step up their hospitality game or change Management. We had friends that stayed here, so we didn't read any reviews and just asked them. They said it was ok for $60. We booked and showed up before dinner for check in. We were greeted with Staff and promptly told that it was "cash only" because their CC machine was down. I let her know we don't travel with much cash, but had dinner plans and needed to drop some things in the room and would visit a bank in town and pay upon our return after dinner. Over and over she told me this wouldn't work and she wouldn't check us in without cash payment and that the CC machine being down and lack of letting us know to prepare for cash only was "not her fault". So far, 0 in the Hospitality dept. I cooled off a bit, called another hotel to see about booking there while my Wife found every last dollar we had so that we could check in and keep our dinner plans. Coming back I have her the cash and then she tells me that because of COVID-19, there are no towels or toilet paper in the room and she'd bring it when she saw us return and she'd also collect another $10 cash for the pet fee. Dinner was fine and we grabbed a wad of TP in case she didn't show up... Which she didn't... Ever. So there's the lack of Hospitality. The room... As I said, no TP at all and no towels at all. Human hair found on the soap shelf, floor, and pillow case. Several burned out or missing lightbulbs. Pillows were terrible. Mattress was bad. Smelled like serious mildew in #9.All in all, stay at Hotel Magma for $150/night or go to Globe until this hotel gets its act together.

I would guess that the other reviews on this site are a scam. We went to the Motel. It was the worst motel I have ever seen. I cannot say that the bed was bad because we didn't stay long enough to lay on it. The floors are bare cement. The furnishings are worse than meager. The curtains looked old and like that had been pulled from a trash can and hung up with all wrinkles. This shows as a 2.5 star motes. I would give it less than half a star. This is not a place that you want to stay.

The people who run the show are ghetto. Expect to hear them cuss and yell in the back room while you're checking out. I'm guessing a 3day crack binge will do that to a person. The sign says open but nobody was ever around. You had to call a number and it always went to voice mail. We needed TP. However we had a great night sleep despite the heater breaker popping throughout the night. You get what you pay for, no complaints in that department. I just think the people running the show, well their 13 yr old daughter running the show was great and kind, but the parents need to tighten up their professionalism. We wont be coming back. Because of how they acted.

Toilet flooded the room, the management came buy and told us not to use the toilet, shower or sink at all. It seemed like they new about the problem and haven't bothered to fix it. It kept flooding for 3 days off and on. We had a cot in our room for a third person and management came by and wanted it for a friend that was staying over and said they wanted it even if it put someone in the floor. We didn't give it to them since the floor was nasty from the bathroom flooding, thats not something you should do to paying customers. Thy also tried to kick us out when we were gone for the day because they double booked, I saw a few people sleeping outside that night. Also not something you should do to paying customers. Additionally our room was not cleaned before we checked in and non-smoking rooms stank like smoke real bad, would definitely not stay here again and weren't compensated or discounted price for any of the problems.

I thru hiked the Arizona Trail in 2021 and stayed at this Motel. Owners very flexible and friendly. The motel is centrally located in Superior. Restaurants, grocery stores, hardware stores are all nearby. Rooms were clean, rustic, a little old. I believe they are new owners as of 2020 or 2021. If you are a hiker, definitely worth staying here. Owners picked us up from Picket Post trailhead and took us back there when we resumed hiking.

We were supposed to spend a night there as we had a reservation from booking.com but when we got there nobody was there so we called them and the lady told us we had to pay almost 15$ more than the reservation price in cash. We explained her about the reservation and the price we already agreed to pay but she got mad and hung up on us. Really unprofessional. She appeared a while later and told us to leave the property (parking lot) very rude. Worst experience I ever had with a Hotel.
