Although he could not get in before we left town this place was very clean and the employees we spoke with were highly professional and understood our needs. They offered us to leave our vehicle for the coming week and they would work on it as time allowed but we didn t have time. Will definitely look them up in the future for our rv automotive needs.

My Jeep Cherokee kept randomly saying, check transmission and acting super weird. We were supposed to be moving to Idaho the next week so we were really desperate to get the issue resolved and quickly before our drive all the way up.. My husband took it to three shops before Desert Auto was finally able to tell us what the code was and how to fix it! A part had to be ordered then once installed, reflashed so it took some time and we left the night it was all done. I was super nervous for an 18 hour drive immediately after in the event it wasn t fixed BUT we made it to Idaho this evening and I m so grateful for Desert Auto finally diagnosing/fixing our issue. We don t live in SV anymore but we d highly recommend Desert Auto! Thank you guys so much.

I highly recommend this business. I kept going to other mechanics and business that were cheaper in price to find out the problems were not getting fixed. I lost trust in all mechanics in my area as well in Tucson until I found this mechanic right here in SV. From the minute I called to make my appt to the itemized price of things that had to be fixed to the pick up of my vehicle the experience was phenomenal. I felt safe and comfortable knowing my vehicle had been fixed. Yes the prices were somewhat higher however it was worth every cent knowing my vehicle was fixed and safe to drive. I now have a place and mechanics that I can trust and know my vehicle will be fixed when needed. Thank you so much for making my experience the best one ever.

Hate to do this because typically the shop is a great place. But after a most recent visit with my daughter s car that had a coolant leak I must be honest with this visit. I called spoke with a CSR, was asked if I could drop the car and leave it being we didn t have an appointment, being in the business I knew it could be a few days before I heard anything. A week goes by and I call to see any status and they had looked at it but was told I have been too busy to put an estimate together. Was told I get a return call, I did I asked if they had checked with the extended service company and was informed they didn t know I had one which my daughter had handed the form to the lady at the counter. She found it attached to the paper work, was covered I authorized the repairs. Car was ready on a Friday afternoon, the following Tuesday I received a new inspection showing the water pump leaking which I had suspected being my daughter sent me videos and pictures of that leak. They were very dismissive due to the fact I m an ex employee but trusted them to do the repairs correctly. So a misdiagnosis, misquote, and lack of customer service and professionalism from the owner and staff. I will not return for future repairs and will use shops in Tucson.

Just adding my review to the pile of positives. Desert Automotive has been a great find for us as we worked our Subaru very hard in summer 2023's hot weather. They started work on time, quickly found and fixed the cause of our electrical problem and -- shocker -- charged us less than we paid years back for a similar fix at a dealership. They've done other work on our car, but that electrical fix just blew us away. So glad to have this repair shop nearby. I had a great experience and feel very confident the work on my Toyota Tundra was the best I could hope for. I recommend Desert Automotive over a dealership. They have a very large and well equipped facility. I was impressed with the indepeth knowledge that they had when I explained my situation. I plan to have some follow-up work done next month when back from vacation. The staff was great and treated me well, I feel lucky to have found this location because often it is not a fun thing to have repairs on a vehicle, Martin

I have been a client here for several years. I have always been satisfied with the service to my vehicle, and how l have been treated. They always take time to explain what needs to be done or what was done.l feel their prices are fair, and feel confident the repairs have been done completely. I will be a client here for as long as l live in S.V.They have my complete trust. Automobiles are expensive, their upkeep is tooBut as long as you own one,have it maintained by an expert.

I highly recommend Desert Automotive in Sierra Vista! I have always been very satisfied with their services and I really appreciate the excellent staff there. Highly skilled, great customer service and a really nice facility. Very fair prices too. Thank you to everyone at Desert Automotive!

After getting fed up with our previous auto shop we asked for suggestions, 4 out of 6 of the answers were for Desert Auto and after working with them I can see why. 10/10 customer service, they sent detailed pictures and reports of the issues they found, kept us updated every step of the way, got our car finished days earlier than expected, and came in under their estimate. Also, these people know what they're doing and their experience is on full display, our previous shop simply told us to replace our transmission but at Desert we were told what the likely culprit was and within a couple hours we had pictures confirming their hunch, and 2 days later we had our car back in great shape.Service: Transmission

It is with a great deal of pleasure that I write this review for the crew and owner of Desert automotive. In this world of desposable cars...people....things in general, it is truely a great day when you get to do buisness with a group as talented and dedicated as the folks at Desert Auto. They have done all sorts of work for me from a complete engine rebuild on my 1 ton diesel after a head gasket loss to a restoration of a 1967 Mustang and everything in-between. I have always been satisfied and happy with the work. The work was NEVER over quoted. They didn't "up-sell" things that were not needed and in EVERY case no matter the cost of the job I was treated the same....as a Customer who mattered. Dealerships should take lessons on how to run a shop from Chelsea. Thank you all for all the work. Thank you for being honest . Mad an appointment for brakes on Nissan, the facility was very nice and extremely clean. The staff seems knowledgeable and kind. Seemed like a good place to patronage.i must still wait for actual work to be done and see if they overcharge or don't do the proper work, but I have a good feeling and their reputation is very good.

I had an intermittent problem with an F350 the Ford Stores could not seem to fix. Desert Automotive was highly recommended, but 300 miles away. I gambled and got the truck there, glad I did. Great service as always. Everybody there is very friendly. I love the decor in the lobby, I don't feel like I'm in a lobby of a mechanic shop. They have a European car specialist And I am very happy to have found him. his name is Jason. I have been very pleased with all of their work.

Great bunch. Competent, friendly, make you feel welcome. They keep you informed on the progress of your vehicle. And, they explain what is wrong, what can be done, what should be done, etc. before doing the repairs. Great place for your automotive work!

I was looking into purchasing a vehicle and noticed it had some work performed at this shop. I call and to my surprise they were very courteous and went completely out of their way to assist me with finding out more details about the vehicle. This information became invaluable in my purchasing decision.If they are willing to go so far out of their way for someone who isn't even their customer, I can only imagine the high quality of service that they offer!

I have used to their services twice. They always do a great job at reasonable prices. This last time their service went above and beyond. We arrived in our motorhome and the engine light was on. The part to fix the engine was difficult to locate because of the backorders happening across the country due to shipping issues. They were able to pull some strings and eventually located the part. They allowed us to stay in our motor home in their facility for three nights. Tony McAbee and the entire crew were very professional. Five stars + rating.Service: Engine repair

They checked out our vehicle to get verification on whether we needed a repair done that the dealer told us we needed. Even before they looked at it, the price Desert Automotive quoted us was 1/4 of what the dealer quoted. Turns out after inspection and many pictures of the supposed issue, no repair was needed. They charged me nothing to do the inspection. We will be taking our vehicles to Desert Automotive from now on.

First-time customer and had an outstanding experience. The waiting area is comfortable, the shop area is clean and well laid out, and employees are meticulously attired. Plus the service is superb! Gary (Service Manager) meticulously checked me in for a front-end alignment on my truck. Arin (ASE Certified Tech) came back to ask if I did heavy towing or not (as alignment specs can be tweaked in anticipation of frequent heavy towing). That was a smart thing to do! Best of all, Arin found my front-end alignment within spec (how many shops are that truthful!) and his free, full under-carriage safety inspection found one side of my rear disc brake pads was getting thin and would soon need replacement (that's attention to detail and safety-first). And to top it all off when checking out, Gary said since there was no actual alignment adjustment, he DROPPED the price to an "alignment check" AND he also honored the full value of the coupon I had previously presented up front at check-in (how many businesses would drop the price and STILL accept the full coupon discount?). Per my request, I also got an alignment "printout" showing factory specs and my truck's alignment measurements (I am tired of other shops making excuses for not being able to do that)! I am a guy who does ALL the work on all my vehicles (2 cars, 1 diesel truck, 1 Class A motorhome, 2 motorcycles) which is why I hardly ever bring them to a mechanic in my 15 yrs residency in Sierra Vista. But given no alignment machine at my house (I have a lift and a fully equipped 1,880 sq ft "man-cave" workshop), I checked out Desert Automotive for the first-time and was incredibly impressed with every facet of their business. This is the ONLY place I will ever even begin to think about using as their great prices, thoroughness, and HONESTY spells indisputable , 5-star customer service!

This was not a good place to take an RV for an oil change. I paid 125 for and oil change and they did not top off the coolant neither nor told me it was empty. I asked for a tire inspection and they recommended to replace two tires but did not inspect the tire pressure. This place might be wonderful for other people. But it was not so much for me. I do not think all clients are treated the same way.

Desert Auto takes care of all three of my cars. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. If one of my cars need something they tell me, if I ask them to look at something and it's not a problem, they let me know and I don't pay for an unneeded repair. These guys are excellent at customer service and quality work. I brought my 1999 Ford Ranger in for maintenance before a road trip. My mechanic (im sorry i forgot his name) worked the day through getting it ready. I felt safe taking my truck to Salt Lake City.
