Our Ford 6.0 broke down in Show Low in May of 2023. Based on Google Reviews we decided to tow the truck over to Power House. They turned the truck around in a couple weeks, which is very reasonable. Here's where the fun starts:-Never received an estimate, just a phone call when the truck was done-PHD charged me for welding work that was not part of the original problem. This work was not approved, and frankly I can't find any evidence of the supposed repair-PHD charged me 60% above retail for an O'Reilly's Fuel Pump and aftermarket IPR Valve-My Buyers drawbar went missing, and there was trash in the bed of my truck upon pickup-The truck demonstrated the same no-start issue the next day, after I made it home. I was able to resolve myself, after some basic diagnostic work; leaking standpipe and ball cupsJeff declined my request for a partial refund, and offered an oil change and discounted diag on the continuing no-start issue. Frankly, I didn't want them touching my truck anymore. Be warned.

I've been searching for a good mechanic since I moved here in 2011. I put a lot of miles on my truck and was recently told I had several things wrong with it while I was out of town. I was referred to Jeffrey at Power House Diesel. I expected the bill to be more around $1500. I had been told my brake pads needed changed and PCV valve was no good (whatever that means!) and they didn't need fixed after all! I walked out paying less than half that amount and I'm back on the road! Awesome! Very professional, honest and knowledgeable. Thank you very much! Char : )

This place was amazing in a stressful situation while moving across the country. I really can't say enough about this place and the owner. It's tough to find honest people these days but these guys are top notch!! They went FAR above and beyond with help/explanations why and how to fix my fuel dumping problem and it didn't cost me a thing. SERIOUSLY can't say enough. If you are traveling or local check Power House Diesel out. I wish them all the best!

I drive three hours up to showlow from the valley for Jeff to service my truck. I had a catastrophic failure and he returned my truck to brand new and assisted with getting it up to the mountains. He will take care of you and most importantly give you HONEST answers and diagnosis. He calls and explains everything and walks you through the process. Absolute awesome experiences with powerhouse diesel.

We can t say enough about the great work and awesome customer service we ve received from Jeff and his crew. They installed a remanufactured engine in our 6.4 Ford F-350. Everything we were told from beginning to end was honest and no surprises. Jeff always takes the extra time to talk with us about our truck and answers all our questions. It s hard to find a mechanic who you can trust and will always treat you fairly, but we feel blessed to have found this shop and will recommend to anyone with a diesel vehicle. Jeff goes above and beyond expectations. Thank you Jeff and crew!

Had a catastrophic failure on my F-350 6.0 while towing to Show Low. Local referrals from 2 separate sources (towing service and rental car company) both pointed to Power House Diesel. There's a reason why this shop has consistent 5-star feedback. Jeff and his team are excellent. Very thorough, high attention to detail and desires ensuring the repair is done right. My situation required an engine swap. A list of things could go south with a job of that magnitude, and Jeff made sure everything was good to go before releasing out of his shop. Exceeded my expectations in so MANY ways, including a trouble-free Ford I've driven for a week now for 500+ miles. Thanks so much Jeff for everything you've done. I may not live close by, but the drive to you is worth it. You have a customer for as long as I own a diesel truck!

Great reviews of this shop influenced me to bring my F350 6.0 L to have them fix an oil cooler issue. kind of mixed feelings on my experience so far. Jeff seems like a very friendly and knowledgeable person, but I just hoped for a little more communication on progress and issues for an estimated 3k repair job. My truck has been there 3 weeks now, but I was informed it would be a week before they could get working on it and parts deliveries have been unpredictable in these times. I call about once a week to see how it's going. I always leave a message to have Jeff call me back and he has once or twice, but last couple of times I've had to keep calling to find out what's going on. Turns out it will be a couple or maybe 3 more weeks. So, just a little frustrating. In my past business dealings I have always made communications with my customers the #1 priority along with quality of work, so maybe I'm too sensitive on the issue of good communication. I know business practices up here aren't quite the same as in the cities. I hope it works out well for both parties and would love nothing more than to provide a fantastic review for Powerhouse Diesel. I received a call from Jeff this morning (Monday 5/10) and he provided a detailed update about exactly how the job is progressing and what's going. Much appreciated, Thanks Jeff!Got the truck back a couple of weeks ago and everything seems great. Jeff let me know there is a 5 year warranty on parts and labor so that's reassuring! It looks like everything worked out fine and I would recommend Jeff and Powerhouse diesel. Thanks for taking the time to do the job right.

The Power House Diesel team came through for me big time when my 2000 F350 diesel truck lost fuel pressure on an elk hunt this past December. The truck was towed in the evening before and left in front of the shop. I was from out of town and waited for the shop to open the next morning when I met the owner Jeff. Jeff turned out to be a great guy, very passionate about his craft, and extremely knowledgeable. They prioritized my situation, replacing my filter and fuel pump and had me up and running several hours later. I don't easily give out a five star rating, but Jeff and his crew deserved it and I will be back in the future. Thanks again Jeff!

Very obviously wants older people to come in with minor problems to jack up their car and not be held accountable through insurance . Hopefully you realize what you re doing.

My husband and I are traveling between Showlow to Flagstaff when our diesel Ram 2500 sprung a leak from the coolant Y connector. We are not familiar with the area so I searched Google for a shop. I found this shop with 5 star reviews and we called them. The office staff was great. The owner-Jeff worked with my husband to get thereplacement part asap and completed the work in one day. The amazing part for us was he didn't over charge us or take advantage of our situation. In fact, we were amazed at the service and the cost. Now we are back on the road to finish our vacation. Thank you Jeff!!

Went here after arriving in town from a long trip. My truck is old and as that normally goes, it needs a bit of work here and there. Jeff rode with me, and then looked into my issues I was noticing. Then he told me the reality of what could happen if we started working on the rusted components that were connected with the issues. He provided honesty instead of a false hope and endless pile of excuses later. I appreciate that he considered everyone s wellbeing instead of just his own on this one. Based on that experience, I d continue to trust him with my business.

I want to give a shoutout of thanks to Jeff at Powerhouse diesel. Prior to my visit at powerhouse I have struggle with terrible exhaust temps for about 5 years and had visited one particular shop about 5 times adding an inner cooler and other upgrades to help alleviate the high egt's. A gear change brought the egt's down in the right direction, a turbo upgrade was supposed to fix the problem but instead made it drastically worse with a truck at the shop for several days and then a visit to a diesel specialist shop in Phoenix I was told by both shops the high egt'sd were likely a tune issue, thankfully the 3rd shop was the lucky charm, instead of thousands of dollars to fix the problem. Jeff actually took the time to troubleshoot and find the issues saving me thousands of dollars. It is rare to find someone with the initiative and desire to help the customer. I highly recommend powerhouse diesel for all your diesel needs. My truck now pulls better than it ever did before.Thank you Jeff,Scott Richey

This was probably the best experience I ve ever had at a mechanic shop. My family and I were on a staycation when the truck decided to have issues. Looked up diesel shops and power house diesel popped up. Was pretty skeptical since I know how mechanics can be and I have my own at home. Jeff, the owner took time with me helping to diagnose my problem and wasn t about to beat around the bush. It wasn t just, well your code was this so we re gonna replace it. He went beyond that and was hands on work. He was super honest and knows his stuff. Made me feel comfortable and welcome. This was for an issue with my truck that I had back in the beginning of June.I forget the name of the guy that helped me, but was told he was their Duramax guru . I was in town for a local event and had an issue with my truck about 30 miles outside of Showlow. I was able to limp it into town and get my trailer unhooked. Once I did, I took it over to these guys in the morning and they were awesome - friendly and professional. I was referred here by a friend that frequents the area. They immediately starting checking on and working on my truck. They were more than willing to help and went above and beyond to help an out of town we get back on the road. Thankfully the fix happened to be just a fuel filter(which I had in my truck because I knew it needed replaced just had been forgetting), but these guys took really good care of me and making sure my family and I could get back home at the end of the weekend. Thank you to the Duramax guy and the rest of the staff that was friendly and helpful.

BEST SHOP AND CREW ON THE MOUNTAIN!! I will never take a vehicle anywhere else these guys are amazing! I'm glad we have a shop like this on the mountain finally. Most respectful straight forward shop I have ever experienced. Figured out what was wrong with my truck in a timely manner and where more then fair on pricing. Thank you guys!

Jeff and his crew underpromised and overdelivered!! My 14 Cummins has never ran better!!! From a misdiagnosis to a $2k plus savings. I would have never known!! I drove my truck home tonight a whole 11mpg better than when I dropped it off!! I m talking 7 days later and 11mpg!!! Not to mention the detail work by Lopez Detailing!! Fresh as a Tommy Bahama VNeck!!!! Love this Ram and Love my PHD fam!!!

I bought a 2008 F250 (back in 2008). It has always had a hesitation when I tried to enter traffic. I rather disliked driving the truck. At the suggestion of a friend I took it into Jeff to see what he could do. He did his magic and now I LOVE driving the truck. HUGE difference!

Excellent service , very knowledgeable and informative about the issues that I was having with my 05 f350 6.0 superduty .... they only fixed the issues that I was having with my truck... no hidden charges or b.s. about things that might be wrong .... I was very impressed with Jeff and his techs ... superior customer service from a local shop here in the white mountains, I would highly recommend Powerhouse Diesel for any of your diesel issues , I will always use them for any future needs !

Nothing but great experiences with powerhouse. By far the most knowledgeable crew I've found- not just in the white mountains but anywhere. It's really hard finding someone that specializes and even harder finding someone that does so at a reasonable price. Great shop!

Excellent service! I was stranded nearby in my 96 F250 and Jeff the owner dropped what he was doing to come and help. It was an easy fix and he even took the time to teach me a couple of things.Highly recommend!
