I LOVE the office chickens, having a chicken in my lap to pet during the stress pre diagnosis was so calming. Had an amazing experience here.... Almost a miracle... The day before Thanksgiving at noon my brake light went on. This team had brake hoses delivered from Cottonwood and me out the door for under $200 by 2pm. They are the nicest people and probably work to hard. Thanks for your help!!

Dependable, honest, and friendly. My husband and I were recently visiting Sedona and our radiator cracked. We found Village Car Care on Google and took our Jeep there. They quickly diagnosed the issue and took care of it. We are so appreciative of the staff here and will recommend them to others.

I really like the people but had my spark plugs replaced and a month later had to have coils and spark plugs replaced . Seems they were smashed and installed improperly. I will not be returning.

So thankful for this shop-they helped us with a coolant leak, they squeezed us into their schedule and didn't try to upsell, quickly and efficiently fixed our problem. If we lived here we'd go to them for everything!

Extremely friendly, family owned and operated! Our alternator went out as we arrived to Bell Rock and we couldn t park for risk of not being able to turn our car back on. We were helped by Jim, Jeannie, and Jamie and felt so welcomed. Since they knew we were there to see the rock, not only did they fix our car at a reasonable cost, they gave us a loaner car so we could still visit and hike Bell Rock while they completed the repairs. We are so grateful for their kindness!

I noticed noises coming from the water pump, belt area of my Lexus RX 350, and stopped by to ask if someone could listen to the noise and advise me. The owner jumped right up and checked the noise and asked to take it inside so he could do a better diagnosis It proved to be a bad water. pump and idler pulley. His wife and son immediately ordered the parts from an auto parts provider in a nearby town, and performed the repair for me. I was due to depart to go home to Minnesota on Sunday (this was Friday early afternoon), so you can imagine how happy I was to get such amazing service. Thanks to this family owned and run business, i was spared a real headache if this had left us sit on our way home. I want to recommend this shop to all!!

I had my timing belt replaced last January 2021 here. Cost $1092. It failed les that 20k miles later, February 2022. I had it then replaced a second time by another auto body shop for almost $1200 more. When I back in to Village Auto Care to see if I could receive any Reimbursement, I was told that the failure of the timing belt was not due to labor and instillation issues but that the parts themselves failed . I was told that it was up to the auto shop that fixed it to have reimburse me for the parts. Trying to understand more I went in a second time. I was told that essentially because I chose to have it fixed elsewhere, and that I did not reach out to them directly as soon as it occurred, it was at my own expense. Even if I had been across the country, that I still I. should have called them to let them know it had failed, and then maybe they could have done something. Really? That they could not reimburse me for neither the parts nor the labor. In the end I they blamed me and my new auto shop. Another local customer lost.Service: Auto maintenance

I was quite pleasantly surprised and pleased by the quality of the service. I took my aging Acura MDX in for various transmission related services, a brake fluid flush and engine coolant change, the better to keep it running for eternity. They conscientiously told me that it did not need all of the services that I requested. They only did what they thought was necessary and I followed the recommendations. A breath of fresh air. They replaced a couple of running light bulbs and gave me a fair and honest assessment about the condition of my brake pads. They were honest, competent and prompt. The prices were reasonable. Staff was polite and courteous. Can't ask for a lot more from your local auto mechanic shop. It's walking distance from my home. Thumbs up here.Service: Transmission

Car started to break down at the start of a road trip and this place was the only one nearby. They could have easily taken advantage of my lack of knowledge but instead quickly identified the problem and fixed it for no charge. Highly recommend this place as they seem Like very honest and knowledgeable people.

They have worked on our cars and pickup as needed for the last couple of years, all great. This week my Silverado had a starting problem. Took it in late Wednesday they had it back on the road by 9am Thursday starting better than ever for a very fair cost. Strongly recommended, a very good family owned garage.

The nicest people helped me figure out why my car was leaking oil and stayed late to.fix it. Both the tech who helped me and the woman at the front desk were kind and patient and helped me understand what was wrong with the vehicle. I STRONGLY recommend this establishment. Good people & reasonable service.

These guys are awesome! Friendly, competent, honest. Jamie is simply great and I trust them to work on my 2001 Jeep and my 2015 Camry. Having a good mechanic is golden!

I am a local to a small town so when I need a job done like a clutch I look forward to going to shops within a small town. Village car care was super respectful when I First walked in and spoke to the "owner. " They quoted me the job a very reasonable amount of money and they also let me provide the part, in this case a clutch set, to replace for me! That's the 2 star positiveThe 3 star negative starts when they never called me when the job would be done granted it takes all day. When I arrive to retrieve my car to go to work they tell me last minute that they BROKE the transmission seal that holds the fluid for the gears to change smoothly. Okay wow why? You're a professional.. Then after not hearing from them for Four days with having my car. Repeat. I didn't have my car for four days and when I asked for a discount they scoffed in the customers face.. My face. How about a discounted oil change! Free tire rotation.. Anything but a scoff.Okay no biggie whatever this place is just unprofessional I can deal with that because I won't go back but later down the road I find out that this shop didn't replace the clutch fluid for the clutch job, I was confused.. Why would you put the old fluid back in on a new job?? Why...?Then it continues and this is the reason I'm writing this amazing review is because I take my front left wheel off and the cv axel boot has no clamps on them there for I'm slinging grease from the suspension and tire rods... Why would you not put the clamps back on... And not tell me.. I mean come on.So don't go here! Never.. Ever go here. Unless you want an undone job, no car for four days with no type of discount or professional courtesy. If you don't want that type of service then proceed over else where

They charged me $100 to "fix" the coolant system... After driving the car that was supposedly fixed, the engine began to bubble and coolant began to pour out all over my driveway. I took it back in for them to check it out, and according to them their "fix" didn't actually fix the problem with the coolant system. They made no apologies and offered no return for the $100 they charged me to apparently solve no problems. Their integrity seems out of alignment, as they blamed the issue on one of their mechanics by saying he doesn't know much about mechanics. I recommend staying clear of this company. No customer service or responsibility taken whatsoever.

Village car care was recommended to me, when a suspension componant broke, while on vacation. They are a solid, mom and pop store, and go out of their way to take care of you. Excellent service, it's done the right way...period.

Went in a couple month on a camping trip. A hose broke off and this place was the only place open. Without a doubt a real humanly feel. The mechanic wasn't worried about making business but it felt like he was helping a friend. He found the problem fixed the hose on my Suzuki forenza and also gave me coolant. My car would have been broken down if it wasn't for this place. God bless this place!

Just had a great experience, I went in with a complicated evaporative emissions leak which can be hard to diagnose, and Village car care charged me a very fair diagnoses charge along with a reasonably priced oil change. They were off on the diagnoses at first but it was logical to replace the gas cap with a stock Toyota part. Afterward they did another smoke test on the evap system and found the leak at no charge and hopefully it is fixed for a long time. i will definitely be going back with any future problems

Like others, I went to a local shop to support the local business.Good: Replaced ball joints. Any shop can do that.Charged me for 5+ hours. I can believe that, it's a rusty vehicle.Bad: destroyed the ABS sensor with a torch. OK, unpleasant, but I can kind of understand that due to rust. I'm out $120 in parts, if I can even replace it without the whole hub ($500).Worse: They tore the boot on a brand new tie rod. Why? What professional mechanic uses a pickle fork??? Now I have to replace the tie rod (boot not replaceable) and pay for alignment. Village Car Care told me that the boot is unnecessary and they won't pay for a thing. They'll install a new boot (which can't be done in this case) if I buy my own! A professional mechanic tells me that a tie rod boot is unnecessary and that they are not responsible for their mistakes?Goodbye.

I had an indicator light come on and the rep was kind enough to use his computer fro diagnosis, tell me the problem, tell me that vehicle is drivable back to Phoenix and how much it will cost to fix. No charge. Impressed with this rep and garage's caring and honesty. Highly recommend.

My first road trip to Sedona, my car's engine light came on. I took her to Village Car Care and Jamie ran a diagnostic to let me know what exactly the issue was at no charge. I recommend their service to any out of Towner who may need auto advice in Sedona. Thank you Jamie!!

Don't bother coming here unless you need something super standard done in your car. Didn't have a good experience - had to bring the car back to them more than once to fix what they had worked on. Ended up having the car overheat 100 miles away from home and had to get flushed somewhere else due to this shop not being thorough enough.

Great experience from Jamie, Jim and his team. Honest people. Went above and beyond taking care of me and my Jeep, especially for someone being from out of town. Thanks again for all your assistance!
