The General Sales Manager started yelling and screaming at me after I make an offer. I understand getting upset about negotiating on a price but yelling to the customer without any respect. And after that he sends a text. See on the attachment. Good luck buying from this company

I wanted to wait a couple months before posting this review since it can be difficult to tell what you re getting into when buying a new car. ~5 months into owning my vehicle and here are my thoughts about this business..I found a 2011 GTI on the lot which on the surface looked like it was in perfect shape. The guys at Hermes were happy to give me the full CarFax report which includes all maintenance and repair history. Without much further thought, I jumped into making the purchase.Applying for a loan was a quick process given my history and I am overall happy with the financial aspect of it, even if the terms have been ever so slightly skewed for more profit on the deal. Overall, the car was sold to me at a reasonable price and I was not gouged so I am happy with that. The actual car itself has had no issues in the almost five months that I ve owned it. So far so good. Everything top to bottom runs well and I did not run into any unwelcome surprises with the small ins and outs of the vehicle. The employees here are responsive and I feel like they are good people who deserve more business. I think those who got a lemon are more of a vocal minority, because of course you ll hear about the few who s car stopped working and less from the folks who are happy with what they got.Remember to look at the history of your vehicle before making the purchase. Refer to common repairs your model may need before committing to a large purchase. I am happy with my experience overall and have not run into any issues this far

I recently had a truly awful experience with this dealership that I feel compelled to share. My little sister was kind enough to FaceTime me while she was at the dealership looking at a car. Little did I know that this dealership would turn out to be a complete nightmare. When my sister showed me the car, it looked nothing like the pictures. It was in terrible condition and clearly overpriced. I couldn't believe my eyes. As I expressed my disappointment on the call, one of the employees overheard me and rudely interrupted, asking why I had an issue with the car.I calmly explained that the car was an outdated 2006 model with a whopping 97,000 miles on it, plus it lacked any premium features. Instead of addressing my valid concerns, the employee had the audacity to belittle me by saying, "You don't know anything about cars." I was taken aback by his dismissive attitude and lack of professionalism. To make matters worse, this person then proceeded to light up a weed pen right there in the dealership and launch into a discussion about his political views. Not only was this highly inappropriate, but he also decided to involve my sister in his biased conversation. I couldn't believe the lack of respect and disregard for customer boundaries. As if that wasn't enough, he took the opportunity to talk negatively about me when my sister mentioned that I owned a fast car. Instead of maintaining a level of professionalism, he arrogantly challenged my claim and offered to take them for a ride in his so-called "fast car."It is absolutely unacceptable for a dealership employee to behave in such a manner. I felt disrespected, manipulated, and completely disregarded as a potential customer. The lack of professionalism, the smoking of illegal substances, and the unwarranted personal attacks made this dealership an absolute no-go for me.I strongly urge anyone considering doing business with this dealership in tempe to think twice. The unprofessional behavior, disregard for customer concerns, and the pushy personal agendas are clear indicators that this establishment does not value its customers. Save yourself the hassle and find a dealership that actually respects and values their customers' needs.

Class Act!Nice People!Great Cars!Exceptionally Clean! My son and I were looking for a sporty car for his 16th birthday. After going to a couple of dealers and getting pressured I started dreading this latest adventure for finding the right 1st car. We came to Hermes Auto Group on 501 N Scottsdale Road in AZ it was like sports car heaven! There were 7 or 8 cars we could have decided on. But the 2011 Mustang GT was the desired choice for our Basha High School QB. I told my son I would think about it and it magically appeared on the day of his birthday in the backyard by the pool.Thank You Tammy, Matt and Stela for this delightful experience and making my son birthday a life time memorable moment.Scott and Josh

The best dealership I've purchased from, hands down! Matt made the buying experience easy and relaxed, no sales pressure or tricks. He simply let us look at the car we liked, gave us plenty of space to make our decision and it was as easy as going to see him in the office to fill out the papers. However, this wasn't just the best buying experience I've had but the best customer service too! About a week after we purchased the car, we faced every buyer's worst nightmare. We got a warning light! Like most people I was preparing myself for the argument about who's responsibility it would be but to my surprise there was no such argument. Not only did they take care of the whole thing, but I was too concerned to drive the vehicle to the service center so within 30 minutes of speaking with Stella on the following Monday morning she sent a tow truck, no questions asked. It's sad, but I was genuinely shocked at their honest behavior, it was such a refreshing experience. We all see the horror stories about shady dealers posted in these kind of reviews, so it is my pleasure to share my wonderful experience with Hermes Auto Group. My car is beautiful, runs great, and we are very happy we bought here! We will definitely take a peek at their inventory first next time we are in the market. Stella has a great eye for beautiful cars.

This was by far the nicest (and coolest) little dealership I've ever been to! Tammy and Stella were amazing and I can't thank them enough. It felt like a family there. Car buying can be stressful, but they made my experience both pleasurable and memorable. I never felt pressured and Tammy was awesome at breaking things down for me. They made the process super quick and easy.It was sad to say goodbye to my old car, but I'm absolutely loving my new car. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a cool car and a relaxed, no-pressure car buying experience!

Stella was nice to show us her inventory, but the prices are way higher than other dealers. I found the exact same car for 8,000 less than what was offered to me, plus it was a certified used car. Hermes only offers 15 days of warranty. Nice customer service but vehicles are overpriced

I purchased a 2011 Lexus IS250C convertible from them. The first time I went, they gave me the keys and let me look over the car with no pressure or distractions. I told them I had to come back to have my husband look at it with me, and they didn't try to pressure me into buying then and there. I returned two days later with my husband and looked over the car. I purchased it, financing a portion of it. Finance was a breeze with no attempts to upsell on any service or protection products. This was my second experience with what I call a "mom & pop" small car dealer. After this, I will never purchase from a major auto dealership again. The major dealers try to nickel and dime you through every stage of the car buying process. Small outfits like Hermes offer vehicles for sale and do not try to tack on additional charges to wrangle more money out of it. Thank you for the easy and pleasant experience.

Was searching for a used car. Went to several places before going here. Met Tammy and she was super helpful. Honest. No pressure in buying. We left there as we were still wanting to shop around. After several weeks we reached back out to Tammy to see if the car was still available and it was. Once again Tammy was very helpful. Told her what i was looking for in price and they made it work. We went down and bought the car and was there maybe 20 mins as it was such a simple easy cash purchase. Would recommend and if i ever need another used car they would get my business. Thank you Tammy for being honest and helpful

They will sell you a lemon if you buy your car here. Very shady place very high prices and completely untrustworthy . My engine in my SUV blew so I went here to buy my next car a genesis coupe 2013 2.0t the car had 90k miles and the engine shortly after blew for no reason. I treated the car well and only had for 3 months. No response or help from this dealership after being sold a lemon . Want to experience something similar then come on down to Herms auto group!

Spoke with Stella about a 2014 MONOGRAM edition Scion tC. We went back and forth through emails and finally nailed down a price. Stella got me approved. Keep in mind I live over 250miles from the dealership. She told me to come down with the check/cash down payment. The check I had wasn t the right type so I was just told nvm that day, but to still come in and sign the paperwork. During the signing process Stella had emailed me one prove, but had a totally different car price and APR %. She rambled on and made something up to cover why the % and car price changed. I was questioning the purchase before this, but now I was really feeling scammed. I left the dealer and headed back home. Stella called me later that day and said that I could pick up the vehicle the next weekend. The weekend came, I spoke to Stella and she told me to head down to the dealer. I was just about to get to the dealership when Stella called me and she mentioned the bank couldn t verify any of my financial information that was provided and the car couldnt be purchased unless I had my manager get in touch with her. I reached out to my manager and relayed the story, my manager had called in to Stella and the bank. That s when I got a call back from Stella stating the bank and dealer denied the loan. That I had a friend call to have my financial information verified. Not to mention when I looked up the VIN, Stella had the car listed as something it wasn t, so they could make more money off the car. I questioned her on that, and she said it was computer error and continued to keep the listing as it was. A LIE. One HUGE lie after another. I understand they want to sell cars, but there should be a better way. Scams only last so long Hermes. STOP LYING ABOUT YOUR CARS!

Unfortunately, I bought a "lemon". I was told over and over while buying my car "its sold as is". I should have listened. In April I would have been paying my car off for 3 years! and out of these 72 months I have only been able to drive my car for about 5-7 months. Fixing one thing after another until just recently (Last week) been told my engine has now failed. Now I will be stuck paying off a car I cannot drive nor have 17,000 to replace the engine. Please be careful purchasing USED cars. Take to a mechanic of your choice if they allow before settling.

No pleasure to leave bad reviews, but I rely on reviews myself and I guess I have to do my part and let others know my story. The people here are nice (maybe that is just part of the business?), the web site is attractive but that is not what I need. I need a car. I found a good (looking) Subaru XV Crosstrek for a competitive price. Since I myself cannot tell much about a car's condition, other that it is shiny, I like to have a professional opinion when buying a used car, so I took this one to a shop and spent $100 to have a pre-purchase inspection done. That was a good thing to do since the shop found (too) many issues and quoted over $3000 just for fixing few of the most important mechanical ones, leaking engine/transmission, leaking differential, CV axle sipping grease, arms torn bushings (not including clogged air filters, defective lights, poor AC performance, rust, wipers, etc.). I showed the report to Matt and, honestly, I was hoping he would offer to fix the problems and sell me the car. Unfortunately his answer was that this is what one could expect for a car with the mileage of the car in discussion. That is an interesting idea. I did not know that one should expect to buy a car at the fair blue book price and have to schedule right away an appointment to the shop for few thousands repairs. The moral of my story: don't be tricked by the shiny look of a car. There may be things that are not visible for the untrained eye which are more important than the doctored visible side.Bottom line, I spent $100 to find bad news about the car and interesting ideas from the seller. Not a good way to spend money, I would say.

I recently bought a car from here and stella was good at getting me a approved for the loan and so far the car is running great and loving driving my audi a5 quattro 6 speed manual. I have told a few people I know that are looking for cars to come and take a look at what stella has there in stock.

I stopped in at Hermes earlier today to view a Hyundai Genesis. When we arrived, Stella was quite friendly as she pulled around the car and allowed me to test drive it on my own. However, the moment I left the lot, the car showed to have significant issues. The air conditioning hardly worked even while moving, the car had a significant amount of aftermarket work done to it (as well as a clearly poor-fitted aftermarket bumper), and it had a variety of mechanical problems like the brakes being worn nearly to the point of grinding and cooling components were missing. The paint was horribly chipped, the wheels were severely curb-rashed, the tires didn't match, the lug nuts didn't match in the slightest, the car was dirty, and the interior was significantly damaged. All of those things are fixable and while the car itself was clearly in poor condition, I was willing to negotiate with Hermes on not only price but on the repairs before purchase. I returned from the test drive and asked about the issues I found while also acknowledging the fact that the car couldn't be perfect in totality. However, while I was willing to have a proactive discussion, the salesperson (Stella) was immediately rude and defensive. She not only lied to my face about the state of the air conditioning and the brakes, but she also became immediately heated about it. When I mentioned the abundance of aftermarket work to the vehicle, she suggested that it raised the value of the car instead of the industry standard of decreased value. I took it in stride and suggested that we negotiate repairs or price, however, I watched as she checked the car's selling point on NADA before she told me she "had no wiggle room" in price. I thought this was completely unprofessional and unethical. Clearly, the vehicle was not in selling condition and the asking price was FAR above it's value. I went into Hermes with the intention of a good faith and honest purchase of their Genesis but not only is it apparent by the state of their vehicles, but as well as their lobby and offices, that they are not in the market to sell to individuals that want to make a good financial decision. Had I been perhaps more naive or vulnerable, I feel I would have bought a defective vehicle that was deceptively overpriced. I was appalled by their unprofessionalism as well as the state of not only their vehicles but also their lobby. Please do not spend your money here. They will openly lie to you about the state of their cars while simultaneously trying to charm you with the vehicle's curbside appeal. Do not fall for it, please. You might like their prices but in the long run, they are simply looking for an easy sale. I was shockingly disappointed by their presentation and their clear lack of standards. You will have better luck at the dealership down the street. Perhaps there, you will find some respect and a not-so-sleazy price. And if you are interested in one of their cars, I HIGHLY suggest you take it straight to an ASE certified technician and have them do an inspection. I assure that their findings will NOT reflect the price of the vehicle. All in all, I left Hermes shockingly disappointed.

My friend got a good deal here I will say that but they refused to fill up her gas tank which left her driving off the lot with less than a quarter tank of gas. They tried saying no dealership fills up tanks for used cars (lies). We also had to ask for air caps for the tires due to them not having any.
