I left my vehicle in good hands with Smith and Taylor! I drove away with confidence in their work, which I can honestly say has not been my experience at some other places in town for my vehicle! After asking for advice on where to take my vehicle for brakes on a moms social media group, many recommend them. I could not be more pleased and I would definitely recommend them as well! Vonda was also very helpful in the whole process! Please if you need work done, do yourself a favor and go to them, you won't be disappointed!Service: Brakes

Came to them after an engine overheat. They were able to check out my car on short notice and recommended me some major work that they were upfront in telling me they weren t prepared to undertake themselves. What makes them great is that the mechanic took the time to explain the complicated issue to me, told me what to expect as far as price from the work from other shops, and patched me up well enough to get me where I needed to go. Solid people and shop.

My serpentine belt snapped while driving on the highway at night, and Safford happened to be the closest town to get towed to. Smith & Taylor worked with my AAA service to get my car fixed and road-worthy very quickly! Very reasonable price. Super nice people also: picked us up at the motel when the car was ready because it was such a hot day, so we didn't have to walk across town. Will certainly recommend them to anyone in the area.Service: Engine repair

I definitely recommend Smith & Taylor Auto in Safford. When I started having car problems and needed to go to get them checked out, I researched all places nearby, and found that Smith & Taylor had the best reputation. I previously haven't had many good experiences with other auto places in the area, but it was important to me to find a local and reliable place in town.My experience with Smith & Taylor was better than expected! Not only were the prices reasonable, but I feel as if I saved money by choosing them over any other place. They were quick, efficient, and gave me helpful tips with my car and fixed things along the way to help me out. Vonda at the front desk was awesome! She was personable, kind, and knowledge. We have worked with Smith and Taylor for several years. We have always had a positive experience. There have been times we've been in for a simple oil change and others, for more serious mechanical problems.It is comforting to know that you can trust a mechanic to do the work they promise to perform and with the confidence and reassurance they are charging a fair price. They perform the work they promise on time and if there is a delay, they are in contact to let you know what's going on. They also offer options for what may need to be repaired. I've also been offered a ride back and forth to be able to leave my car for a long period of time. Coming from the big city, service like this is hard to find. It' is so refreshing to deal with local people on a local level that really care about you and their business.I would highly recommend Smith and Taylor for any of your automotive needs.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Our vehicle broke down on I-10. Luckily AAA towed us to Smith & Taylor. Great customer service!! The employees answered my husband's questions. Driving toward Safford, AZ from Duncan, AZ about 900 miles from our home in Texas on Sunday May 15, 22 the serpentine belt on my 2006 Dodge Sprinter motorhome shredded. It broke into numerous long strands and wrapped around all the the pulleys. While waiting 5 hours for a tow truck to come from Benson, AZ I Googled auto repair shops in Safford. I chose Smith & Taylor Auto Repair based on their Google reviews. Motorhome was dropped off late Sunday afternoon. Monday morning I was waiting at their shop almost an hour before they opened. My vehicle was the first one they worked on. Took technician 2 hours to remove all of the old shredded belt. I would say they went above & beyond to get me back on the road considering they have about a 2 week backlog of work already scheduled. I would highly recommend Smith & Taylor Auto Repair if you are in need of service in the Safford, AZ area. The price was fair and actually less than I expected. Good people. Thanks to the two people that stopped to see if they could help us as we waited on the side of US Hwy 70 with outside temperature of 100 degrees.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Smith & Taylor has always provided quality work for a very reasonable price on all of my vehicles I bring them. They're very honest and won't try to tell you you have problems just to make money. I've had another mechanic shop tell me a problem wasn't fixable and I had to replace the whole part for hundreds of dollars; I took my car to Smith and Taylor instead and they charged me $16 (for the time it took) because the part simply needed to be tightened, not replaced.

Smith & Taylor came highly recommended by many locals including mechanics, as I asked around for quality. I'll be patient and wait for quality, I live on the road. My vehicle is my bank.Once I arrived I notice a very calm demeanor and knowledgeable.Paul is highly recommended and is one of those pros the people know of.Next time I need something done I may drive a few States just to come back.

I have used Smith and Taylor for years on a number of older vehicles. Although I have never expected miracles on any of them, that is exactly what I get. I have never been disappointed even after taking my trucks to them after someone else has worked on it. For all they do for the community, the miracles they perform on my vehicles and just the great personalities of the people who work there make me want to say I want Smith and Taylor working on my vehicles.

When I first moved to Gila Valley, I needed to have my power steering repaired. I heard about Smith and Taylor and decided to give them a try. Before moving here from the Phoenix area, I received an estimate for the work but decided to wait til after the move. The quote I received from Smith and Taylor was far less than the one I received from the other place. Beyond that, the final bill was even less than the estimate they gave me. I was going on a road trip so I told them to do a complete check top to bottom on my car to ensure it was ready. They said that d take about an hour.After 2 hours they tell me it only needed the transmission fluid changed. Charged me $200 for the check up and fluid change. Right away I noticed a new rattle under the hood. A piece of the motor cover was loose. They snapped it down but it s never stopped rattling. Then I took my road trip. Now on the road trip my brakes are having the sensors sound. And I m having lots of steep grades to traverse.So I had to have an out of state mechanic look at them. I had no shoes or pads left and the rotors are warped.I called Smith and Taylor and left a detailed message with Vondas voicemail but she didn t even bother to return my call.So no please don t take your vehicle there you ll be sorry you did.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

I would not take my car anywhere else. Paul Taylor is honest and trustworthy and has never once suggested I make an unnecessary repair. His staff is great and I always enjoy the experience. His prices are fair and I feel that I am truly lucky to have such a fine place to take my cars.

We have used Smith and Taylor for everything! We have gone to them for the most basic oil change all the way up to transmission issues and everything in between. They have very professional and friendly staff! Their front desk lady Vonda is a diamond in the rough! Highly recommend them for any of your car need!

Far from home and with a suddenly dead battery, I found Smith &Taylor Automotive in Safford, AZ. Even though they had a shop full of cars in for repair, they moved me to the front of the line and had me in and out with a new battery in less than an hour. AND I got a discount on labor for being a AAA member. I'm a very satisfied customer.Service: Battery

Had Smith & Taylor look at our 07 Silverado. Always get great service and great customer service. You can trust any vehicle with Smith & Taylor and know that it will get fixed and no unneccesary work will be done. Wouldn't trust any other shop with my vehicles.

Actuator mechanism on drivers right rear door window failed and was correctly diagnosed by P. Taylor (owner).........the part was located locally, and installed in a timely manner. I was treated with courtesy and the price was as quoted......I am totally satisfied with the service rendered and would highly recommend their mechanics..Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

I called to see if they would work on a 2013 Chevy Cruze that was overheating. Whoever answered refused to even look at the car and said it would need to be taken to a dealer. I went to a different mechanic and it was fixed within the day the only issue being the water pump. I would not reccomend going somewhere they won't even look at your vehicle.

I have been using S@T for a number of years now in Safford and have been very satisfied. Prices are reasonable and service is great!! They have always made sure that I was satisifed and if not they rectified any issues that came up in an equitable manner. Would highly recommend them!!

Paul is very professional and knowledgable about auto repair,I own a 94 ss impala and he is the only I allow and hire to work on.Always has my vehicles ready on time when he is finished with them.He takes time to explain issues if there is any he encounters and how to fix them,I recommended his shop Smith and Taylor to anyone that needs and looking for a good mechanic and his team check them out!!!!!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brake service & repair
