Been using this U-haul location for years. The store GM Victor and his staff consistently work to make sure I am taken care of. They do whatever it takes to help and get the equipment needed to get the job done, even with tough time constraints. I have been treated like family here. Thank you!

I am not much of a reviewer normally, but I am very appreciative of the service received in the last 2 days. Cameron was very efficient getting my 15' truck reservation ready and offered to bring it by the storage area so we could pack up! Cruz was super helpful with checking out of my storage unit after we emptied it out and made sure I wasn't charged an extra month even though the automated online system tried to charge me. Finally, Penny called this morning to verify that the actual storage unit was verified clean and that my rental was completed with no extra charges. I was able to verify this online, but it was nice to hear from the on-site staff as well and not worry about any surprise billings. Army Vet and Travel RN, so I've moved at least a dozen times over the last 15 years, and this was right up there in terms of best Uhaul experiences. Thanks!

The manager Rick checked the cargo van out to me. He seemed well trained on the process, and his customer service was top notch. All the employees were quite friendly. The van was very clean and the gas mileage was less than I expected. It only cost 55 dollars in gas from prescott to Gilbert and back. I was satisfied with how easy and timely Isaiah and Nathan returned the equipment. Overall Uhual made moving my items less stressful than I would have imagined. I also rented a storage unit from this location which added convenience of a one stop trip. Thanks Prescott Uhual, highly recommend for anyone needing to move their stuff for their move to Prescott.

I dropped off a trailer this evening and was assisted by Isaiah. I've rented multiple u haul trailers in the past but working with him was the absolute easiest it's ever been for me. Excellent attitude and customer service skills!

I moved from MN to AZ, reserving a 10 x 10 x 9 unit at 2122 Hwy 69. I had a reservation and confirmation number with a move in date of 10/24/23. Two days prior to my arrival I called the same location to get an access code, etc. I was told my unit wasn't available . I requested a call back on 10/22/23 from a manager. As of today 10/25/23 I have not received a call back. I found another business to rent from(I had to return my rental truck) and learned this is a common issue with Uhaul storage rentals at the above mentioned location . Beware...go elsewhere!

I read a lot of reviews on moving companies as I prepared for a full house move across the country. I had limited options and ended up with Uhaul. Our move involved car haulers, trailers, Uboxes and three months of storage. Every single engagement with Uhaul was flawless well coordinated and always on time. Every one of the dozen or so employees I talked to was professional and helpful. I was stressed about every aspect of this move. Thankfully, Uhaul never once added any stress to my move. They did exactly what they said and should do. Thanks

The manager Rick doesn't seem to care that I don't have 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. access to the storage unit I rented last weekend, not returning emails even though he's aware I have a code that doesn't work. so I've been driving around with a load on my truck all week!

Helpful each time even when they are understaffed. They do well with customers who have questions or concerns (some of who are unnecessarily aggressive). They have mostly all the boxes you need. They deliver quite often when they run out of stock. If you have questions about materials, just inquire. My experience has been all in person and is about ubox and moving materials. There are occasionally free boxes in the corner wall. If you call, expect a little bit of a wait as they are a busy location. Note, they have uboxes out in front for you to see. I do recommend asking for a copy of your quote or taking a picture of your quotes. Sometimes, the physical locations can't see everything on their end that the national offices can. Sure, you may have frustrations at times but this location does a great job.Entrance can be easily missed the first time and they have only a few parking spots to the left with the equipment rental. You can park further down along the ramp or on the back but be cautious as there are trailers/trucks/uboxes. When you leave, it's a right turn only.

I called to confirm availability. They said they would hold it. In the less than 5 minutes it took me to drive there they were hooking it up to someone else's truck. I asked if they had another, they said, No. They tried to sell me a different trailer that was too heavy for my truck to pull the load, I said it wouldnt work because the trailer was too heavy. I didnt think anything of my encounter. It was a normal interaction. I left and went down the street to Diego at the other uhaul (great experience with Diego). In that short time they put a note in the uhaul system that I was a belligerent customer and for other uhaul stores to be cautious when renting. There were no raised voices, no arguing, just a normal conversation about not having the right product. Uhaul is first come first serve. I understand. I'll be taking my business to Diego from now on.

I just want to give a shout out to say a BIG "Thank You!" to general manager Sherie Free and the friendly staff at this U-Haul facility. We are in the process of a rather protracted move that has so far involved three trailer rentals during the past several months. This last one was rather ill-timed and we were stuck at our departure point for almost a week due to storm conditions. Sherie waived the additional daily fee due to the circumstances. She didn't have to do that, but my husband and I so appreciate that she did!

I rented a storage unit here for a few months, and had a positive experience. Their access hours are convenient and they have carts available for use to move things, which made the move in/out process easy. Reserving and cancelling was a breeze, as it can be done online. I only had to go in once to speak to an employee when I first rented, everything else was done online. I had a question past office hours one time, and the general manager answered my call promptly and was able to help me.

Made a reservation for a storage unit online. Drove an hour with a full uhaul and they didn t have a storage space or my reservation in their system even though I had a confirmation email showing a reservation at this facility. Luckily the person working knew of another storage facility in town that had a smaller unit available - guess it s time to test my Tetris skills Online system definitely needs work, don t trust it for making reservations!

These guys are great! I rented a trailer today, Scott assisted me. I have worked with this location for years, rented trucks, trailers, had a storage unit...as always, they are professional, efficient and provide solutions to my needs. I love going in there, even if there is a wait, they greet people, and make sure the we don't have too long until we get service. Great ratchet strap downs too! I have used U-Haul for over 30 years, and this place is a top location with great friendly, helpful people!!!

I got to the store for a hitch install and the person no had spoke to never actually booked me (the call center). Despite a shortage on hitches, they happened to have the one needed for my car and got it installed. They were very pleasant, straight forward about the situation and ultimately got the job done!!

I like the location and the temperature controlled storage (other than the left hand lane turn issue). I have used this place multiple times due to these features and for various reasons. Setting up new contracts has not been without hassle and customer service has not met my expectations. The phones often roll to corporate and we have spent hours on the phone for simple requests. The response from local management seems unconcerned and insincere. If it were my business, I would add staff to make sure calls for my business are handled well. The facility itself seems well kept and I have noticed staff spending a significant amount of time with customers trying to explain things well. If there was a competitor with the same features, I would try another facility due to the poor response from staff, long wait times and watching customers served out of order of the line. Small town though so I ll try again and hope for a better experience next time to be treated as a more valued customer. Corporate customer service did do a much better job of listening and apologizing for short-comings which I appreciate.

I have had a couple great experiences here. They installed the hitch on my Subaru quickly, and I have done a couple pickups and drop offs with trailers for my motorcycle for when I return home for breaks between school years. All has gone smoothly, pickup and drop off is easy. Highly recommend making reservations online though, then when you go there in person, they pull it up, you sign a few papers, pay up, and you're off! Will come here again.

WAY to quick to throw people out for rental lateness. Doesn't work with customers at all on the matter. Times are hard, and we flip storage units, stored stuff for sale here. Several times locked out immediately, and couldn't sell stuff to even get their rent paid. Professional as far as corporate standards but in no way accomodating or helful to customers. We used to enjoy the freebies in the lobby, but now the guy living in his camper in back is accessible to everything first. Upstanding loyalty and ethics to the big wigs, thoughtless and uninterested in the customers. People living in the parking lot??? Totally GHETTO.

First time I have ever drove a big truck and I am so excited about this. Good price and the move is no big deal now. Hope I can get from point A To point B without any problems. The storage unit is ready for my delivery of my apartment stuff. I know I have some men around to move my apartment. So the cost is 20$ for 24 hours plus 79 cents a mile. U-haul place is 3miles down the road. The storage is 60$ for 3 months. Plus its next to the gas station so excited about that... Lunch time and some beers are great when you spend the day at a storage unit. Love my life. The only part that is missing is another place to live but it will be fine. I'm a survivor and that is the key to life.

Everyone was very helpfull, however the parking situation isn't the best, and you can only enter the parking lot if youre traveling west. so it made it challanging. but everyone was very helpful and friendly

Bit of a wait. I reserved a storage unit last week, and when I arrived it was not actually reserved and no units that size were available. The employee on the phone had told me it was reserved, while never actually reserving it in the system. On the other hand, the manager Jim did the best he could to fix the situation. He was nice and friendly. It sucks to have 2 separate 5x10 units instead of 1 10x10 unit, but there wasn't much he could do since that was all that was available. Not really the best situation after a big move.Update: Rented the storage units for a month. They're good people and helped me several times. I'd recommend them.

Went to U Haul on a Sunday morning trying to get a car dolly or car hauler trailer. Time was of the essence because my dad was stuck on the side of 69 in Mayer. Figured renting a trailer would be cheaper than paying a tow into Prescott. U Haul has the slowest process from walking in, to creating a contract in the system, then to getting the trailer ready to hook up to vehicle. And you know what on a Sunday morning and U Haul being the only open business of this kind, I can have patience and wait, but when the employees mess around with my time for 1.5 hours and I walk away with them telling me I can not rent a trailer because the computer system won't allow them to select the physical trailers that were on their lot. Very disappointed! I did not give only 1 star because I simply do not understand the computer system. If it were the employees choosing to make this transaction difficult (then same on them) or if the system is that ridiculous. I can't say I have any issues with anyone in particular at Prescott location but everyone seemed to lack the knowledge to override the system so I could drive away with one of the trailers they so clearly had available. My vehicle can tow 7,000 lbs, U Haul tested my electrical and everything was great and ready to go. Not sure what happened exactly, but I know I walked away upset and stressed.

Pretty disappointed in the workers on Sunday February 21, 2021. I arrived at 455pm to return the trailer. Unfortunately a employee blocked the return drop off area preventing me from parking and dropping off the trailer. The other employee told me to wait for it to move. They locked the door and took off leaving me alone with the trailer to unhook myself and unable to return it that night to get some money back (I used cash) also the online return wasn t working. Waisted 20 minutes on the phone to figure this situation out the next day and have to drive back to this location to get my money.

A lady working here called me about a truck being returned late, I told her we had issues with the storage company and the truck would be a little late, but we promised to get it there before close.. She told me the truck was do to go out the next day, and as long is we got there before close we wouldn't accrue any extra chargers.I don't care about the extra charges that they already took out of my account, but to call and leave a message and say you didnt speak to me, and/or honor the employees word that spoke to me is dishonest.

Very poor customer service. The younger staff try their best, but the manager is a poor example. He left a bunch of people standing in line and literally ran out to get vaccinated."Someone in the back will come out soon as they are done." Really? Also, investing in new card readers would help. Often don't work. Too bad it's the only one in town. I'll purchase boxes elsewhere!

We stopped by this store a couple of weeks ago and purchased $75.00 in moving supplies. We realized we were going to need more boxes so we returned to the store today. As soon as we entered the lot there was a small traffic jam due to the poorly designed lot. We pulled to the far left of the lot to allow two customers to exit. We had our windows down and overheard the Manager (Jim Pena) rudely telling one person that they would have to back out since the drive around the building had no exit. Then Mr. Pena proceeded to yell at us! He asked if we were coming or going (dumb question since we had just pulled in from Hwy 69) and to stop and allow the other customer to exit. He was extremely loud gruff/rude! It would have been much easier for the customer to back out if we had been allowed to park first. I told Mr. Pena there s no need to be rude and he replied neither do you. Great customer service U-Haul!My wife and I decided we weren t interested in purchasing anything else from this store (or U-Haul) so we unloaded the supplies we purchased previously and returned them to the store. As luck would have it Mr. No Customer Service Skills Pena was at the counter when I returned the supplies. I told him I had intended to purchase more supplies but after the way he spoke to us in the parking lot, we wanted nothing to do with this store. I told him he acted like an **s and that it wasn t warranted. He replied keep on in a threatening tone. I told him to refund me so I could just get out of the store and he replied it would be the highlight of my day. I told him I intended to contact corporate and let them know how unprofessional he behaved and all he said was I ll just tell them my side of the story. I did contact the company President (Mr. Ashdown) but I suspect nothing will ever be done. My advice is to stay away from U-Haul if they are going to employ a person like this to manage a store. We were also planning to rent a truck & car hauler for our upcoming move but now we will go to Penske.

It says to to others why I hate this place. Hate is a strong word.So I'd rather not feel hate for this place.I do feel very disappointed with the people and place they all work in.In fact I will not want to deal any of my business with U-haul after been treated so unprofessional in my life by these folks.I ordered a part from them Tuesday they told me it would be rushed ordered and be in no later than Friday. Amazon told me it be here with in 2 shipping days.Don't want to point fingers or say his name. Other than it's only 2 letters and he told me he was the manager. So I'll use __ for his name.__ told me I would be called and kept informed as to when it came in. Guess how many calls I got? 0. Not one. I took time to speak to him personally Friday after noon. He told me they would call. No call. Before I called and spoke to a gal on the phone that as rude both times. When I talked to __ another employee from behind the counter spoke up and asked. Who did I speak to? I told them a rude woman. His reply was " We don't have women working here" and smiled while looking at the others.They were acting a bit hyper and possibly on something.Thanks for not taking my money in advance is all I must say. That is the only thing I can say possitve about this.I have always had good dealings with uhaul in my past in all the different states I've ever dealt with.I just wish they followed threw. Obviously they had no idea what this meant to me since I am leaving the area.Costumer service with a phone call would of changed everything. Even if they told me sorry we could not get the part.I hope u-haul reads this because I'm leaving this same review on many apps including U-haul main web page.

Made a reservation online without issue, got to the Prescott store and was advised it would be at least 7 days before a U-Box would be available. Staff was rude telling me 'any reservation takes 48-72 hours to be ready'
