We had just had our battery replaced, however, the positive lead was not tight and worked its way loose leaving us stranded with a DEAD car in the middle of Montezuma Dr. Howard got us in asap, fixed the issue for a reasonable price. Great people, great service. Thanks Howard and team!

Brought my car in for a check engine light. I looked up the code and was expecting an expensive fix. Was recommended to just change the oil and the light would go away on its own. I did exactly that and the check engine light went away. Very grateful for their honesty, they could ve easily said it was something more expensive. Best to set up an appointment, I dropped off the vehicle, and got a call back to let me know it was ready. Service is good, communication is good, I would recommend this shop.

I have been taking my vehicles to Automax for years. I was not aware that it had recently sold before I took in my vehicle for service. When I was still having problems, I noticed that there were missing bolts, loose manifold bolts, and loose wires. It was a sloppiest job I've ever had done on a vehicle. I will never take another vehicle to this embarrassing shop again. Always had great service when Dan owned the business.

I had an amazing experience with this Automax! The customer service was top-notch. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for car maintenance and excellent service. Quick and thorough service & very trustworthy. The team and Automax was amazing to work with, they are informative and helpful.

I was very reluctant to deal with auto repair places but..... this is a legitimate place..The ownership changed hands and the new owner's name is Dave.I got to speak to him and I like him. He doesn't run a rip-off place.He's an honest person from what I've seen.. the staff is cool and friendly and knowledgeable.

All the advertisements I've heard on the radio are true! Dan, the owner, helped me set up an appointment however he diagnosed my car over the phone! This is not a man who just wants to take your money. As it turns out I didn't need to keep my appointment with him because of our phone conversation. But I will definitely go there want to have a real issue.

I had a great first experience so I decided to bring my car back for a second time to get an oil change. During that appointment I called to check on my car because it had been about 5 hours since I heard from them and I was told it would take an hour to get the oil changed. The owner (Dan) answered and asked if I had heard a clunking sound on the left front side of the car, I told him we were looking to get it fixed. He then cut me off in the middle of my sentence and said "Oh so I just change your oil? Great." I started to say "Well I was actually going to ask how much you'd charge for the job." Before I could get through my sentence though, he cut me off AGAIN and said "I'm eating lunch hunny, I'll call you when it's done." and hung up on me.I waited for a call until about 4:30 that afternoon before I went in to get my car because I had never received a call back from Dan. When I arrived, I was told he had left for the day. I then asked the mechanic who was there (not sure of his name) about the work on our car and how much it would cost. I told him we were pretty sure it was the intermediate shaft that needed to be replaced. He laughed at me and said "well I'm pretty sure its the strut tower" and that Dan will have to give me a call about pricing. Never received that call (not surprised).This shop was convenient as it is within walking distance of my job but I won't be back after such rude behavior from the owner and workers.We found a fantastic shop in Prescott Valley who were nice, respectful, and welcoming to my husband and I.Oh! and it was the intermediate shaft that needed replacing, so clearly they need to work on their mechanic skills.

Around this time last year, Automax replaced one of my 2 O2 sensors-- they normally replace two at a time but one of mine seemed to be in good shape. My car started acting up again this week while in the middle of moving cities, doing the exact same thing as last time. I called Dan this morning to let him know the same problem is happening. I asked when I could come in for a diagnostic and he said not until Monday. He was very abrasive when I explained what was going on and said "no, that's a transmission problem". Since I am in the middle of a move, I began to ask him if he knows of any other mechanics in town but he cut me off and said-- "you called right when I was getting my guys ready for the morning - let me know if you need me" and hung up on me. I did not appreciate that he didn't even listen to what was going on with my car as it was the exact same thing as last time. And regardless of what time I called him, if it's during open business hours, providing professional customer service should be your top priority. That's how you retain customers.There's no need to be a jack*** to your customers, especially if you want them to return.

It's been over 6 weeks & still no word on my husband's truck! Frustrating as hell. They do NOT keep their word & I sure as hell didn't mean to give them a single star ! Get my husband's truck fixed!!!

Been going to AutoMax for 15 years. Honesty and fair pricing has been standard operating procedure for Dan. I've tried three other shops in Prescott, but end up back at AutoMax because of the honesty and fair pricing!

Been using Dan at Automax for my delivery truck and several personal vehicles since about 2004. Work was always done right and on time. Easy to work with and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Automax.
