I am very happy with the work done on a classic 40 Ford that I took to Troy Nelson Transmission. They were thorough and professional and it didn't cost me a fortune.

I dropped my truck off with no notice from the back of a tow truck on their day off, was lucky enough that they were working anyways. They were able to get it in and diagnose the issues within days and honestly quicker than I expected. The original quote was a about a hundred shy of what the final total was and am not surprised at all considering how much parts for my performance truck are. They got it fixed in a quick and timely manner. Troy personally went over all the work they did and showed me what exactly went wrong and explained with great detail the work they did. I think I found my new shop! These guys were Amazing and I have no complaints whatsoever! 5 stars two thumbs and one very happy customer!!Service: Transmission

Troy, of Troy Nelson s Transmissions treated my Veteran husband and I very well. They fixed our 2011 RAM 1500. It wouldn t start. They said it needed a new fuel pump. We couldn t afford the cost all at once but Troy had some financing options. We were able to pay it in two payments. We will be a loyal customer from now on and are grateful to have found a respectable auto shop. My hubby says THANKS FELLERS

We have had the opportunity to have our transmission correctly repaired by Troy and his Fine Mechanics. After of course 2 days and 500 miles prior Corona Transmission of Corona, CA "Fixed" our transmission and it had the exact same issues. Troy and his Team were quick, precise, and did excellent quality work. Me and my family not only made it home with no issues in our RV, but home for us was approximately 1,713 miles away.I highly recommend you use Troy Nelson Transmission if you are in the area and need work done. I know I'll refer my family in Phoenix and Good Year to him they need some one. Thanks again Troy from me, my wife, and my sons.

I live in chino valkey and the Trans. on my 2001 Ram 1500 4x4 Sport went bad in P.V..Troy was recommended to me and thank god it made it to his shop. He rebuilt it and replaced the converter for a Very Fair price, did a great job and had me back on the road in a few days. I have sent friends there for transmission and other work and each one has been happy and thanked me.Great guy, great service, great price !!.Service: Transmission

Second time I've been to troy this time i had my check engine light on they popped my hood found a loose hose secured it and charged me $0 then sent me omw. Great business

I can not say enough good things about Troy and his business Troy Nelson Transmissions! I have been taking my vehicles to him for many many years. Now my kids are grown and they take their cars too. I trust him completely and will not take my vehicles anywhere else. As a single mom, it is comforting to me to know there is a trustworthy and qualified mechanic willing to work with me and not take advantage of my lack of knowledge in cars! I highly recommend them

Troy does awesome work. Has been in PV for quite sometime now. We have outsourced work we can't do to him for years. Really good at what they do and are fair and honest. Don't waist your time double tapping your horn at the corporate places in town and buy local with one of the best in the biz!

Troy correctly diagnosed the cause of the vibration in my 1995 Toyota Tacoma as a bad output shaft bearing. He rebuilt the 5-speed manual transmission and it works perfectly now. His price was very fair and the turn around time was quite fast. I highly recommend Troy Nelson Transmissions.

I had a great experience at Troy Nelson's auto shop. And no, we are not related. I stumbled onto it by chance and Troy saw me looking at his shop, and we actually ran into each other a few minutes and Troy asked me if I needed help with anything. I brought my 2001 Mustang GT to Troy to have Flowmaster Super 10's welded in place of the stock mufflers. I kept all other exhaust parts OEM to avoid issues with smog checks, etc. Plus, the Super 10's are crazy aggressive. It is the perfect sound. Troy did an amazing job. I will be sending friends to this shop. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Recommended. -Car Enthusiast

We have brought 3 separate cars to Troy over the past 2 years to be worked on. The first is what won or business as we brought a Pacifica to AAMCO for some drivetrain issues. They quoted us the wrong parts needing to be replaced, and a huge price quote. We had Troy check it out and he found the real problem, replaced the correct parts, which were more expensive and labor intensive, but somehow had a much lower quote. After 2 years car still runs beautifully. Second car was a Cavalier with a bad fuel pump. They replaced it, even fixed a few other issues that were not known until the car got started again, and it runs prefect as well 1.5 years later. The third was a Rendezvous that my daughter owns in Phoenix. She took it to a local shop for it not switching gears. They quoted her over 6k for the replacement of the whole transmission. Low and behold, we had Troy look at it, towed all the way from Phoenix, and it was the differential that was the issue. He fixed that along with the whole rack and pinion due to it having a major leak, for less than half the cost of the other quote. These guys do amazing work, don't try to rip you off, and are strait forward with what needs to be done. Anything I can't do on my own cars, of which we own 6, Troy Nelson will be who I call for the rest. Awesome service, can't say more.

This guy knows transmissions!!!Troy rebuilt my 48re automatic transmission,that powers a 06 dodge 3500 .I have towed my dump trailer multiple times since ,Troy Nelson Transmissions rebuilt mine.i have had no issues,and it shifts great.anyone in northern Arizona, with a transmission problem ,needs to see troy!

Brought my Dodge to Troy's after a horrible experience at another transmission shop. Within a matter of minutes the problem was fixed. I have had Troy and his helpers fixing other things on my Dodge ever since. Will not go anywhere else. Thanks guys. Great work.

I am always am leery of going to mechanic's as a women because I have been screwed over before and told I needed something done when I really didn't. Troy helped fix my car quickly and was extremely helpful and kind to me and my 2 little boys when we got stranded in Prescott Valley over the weekend. I would recommend him anytime!

I'm a retired VET on low income. I was lured by some shops that cater to VETs with adds of almost free services. That may be cool but if you need heavy duty repairs the charges may be much higher than you want.Troy and Kevin at Troy Nelson transmission and full service auto shop went the extra mile for me and you can trust your vehicle with confidence that it will be done right by the mechanics working there with awesome customer service!

Amazing experience! I had some major power issues for quite a while, and had quite a bit of trouble figuring out what the problem was. I took it into Troy's shop and they were able to easily diagnose the issue and fixed it completely and quickly. I've had zero problems with it since! Thanks again guys! I 100% recommend this shop!

I drive a BMW 330i. Was in PV looking for a Christmas gift when my car s clutch burnt out completely. Troy and Don took amazing care of me and my car. They went above and beyond, and devoted their weekend into making sure my car gets fixed. Afterwards they explained what happened to my car s clutch and had my car driving good as new. I drove away feeling completely satisfied with my experience. If you guys ever have any transmission problems, see these guys!! They ll take absolute great care of you. Amazing work

My grandpa suggested I take my car here and it was a massive mistake. I took my 1978 mercury monarch in like a year and a half ago and the only reason I'm writing a review now is because I just found out about something they "forgot." I had them replace the carborator, they had my car for a month and ordered the wrong part at least once. I live around the corner so I walked over there and talked to them regularly. They kept telling me, "oh yeah it'll be ready by the end of the week we'll call you when it's done." Sure they were nice and friendly but no one that worked there was on the same page and they kept giving me different answers. Today I had a different repair going on at a different shop and they pointed out they didn't put a hose back. So my breaks needed to be slammed every time cuz of it. The lack of vacuum. Also they knew they had my car for a month. The day before my car was repaired they THEN offered me to borrow their loaner veichle. I had to get rides to work for a month and was stuck at home for a month. I haven't gone back since and never will.

I had previously jumped to judgement and left a bad review without considering all the circumstances.I returned to Troy Nelson Transmission and needed advice and then parts and service, Troy Nelsen came through. We have a 98 Lincoln Mark VIII with 50K original miles on it. It had a problem down shifting sporadically. When we took it in to the Ford dealership, they told us it needed a transmission rebuild, but they couldn't guarantee it because it is an older vehicle and OEM parts are not available. AAMCO Transmissions said it was a software problem and that the computer needed to be replaced.Troy found the problem to be an electrical connector that cost $25 plus labor. The problem is fixed and the car runs great!

Mr Nelson is indeed worthy of all the heartfelt accolades many other clients have posted. He was straightforward, professional and knowledgeable when we talked earlier today. Mr Nelson discussed my car's issues, reset the 'check engine' sensor and thanked me for coming by. Wow. No, thank YOU, sir. He explained in detail and in 'civilian', not 'mechanic', terms without a trace of condescension. Mr Nelson offered that since my car's problem being correctly diagnosed meant the difference between keeping or junking it, then he was willing to waive his quite reasonable $50 diagnostic fee. (By the way, that $50 is rolled into your total bill should you elect to have his mechanics work on your car; it's not a separate charge, then.) The good news is that my car is still roadworthy. Perhaps this is a bit wordy but when you find a good mechanic, you spread the word far and wide. As you can probably tell, Mr Nelson is now my mechanic. I am so very pleased to share my wonderful experience with everyone. Thank you very much, Mr Troy Nelson. (...and, no, we're not related )

Quick service, i went in there looking for help with a noise coming from the transmission area,Troy took 3 minutes to diagnose the problem. Everywhere else i took my car they said i needed a new transmission. This guy is the best in town by far! Thanks Troy!!

This is the only place to take your car. We took my avalon in thinking we needed a new transmission. Nope it was a few simple things and my car is running great. So glad he is so honest.. only place to go in my book. We even travel from Phoenix to have them work on our cars. Thanks troy for looking out for us.

Took in my truck to fix a leak coming from transmission. I can see they worked on my truck but sadly $800 later my truck is still leakingAlso left with a new dent/scratch on driver side door.Good people and workers but disappointed with serviceService: TransmissionService: Transmission

Rebuilt my 2003 Avalanche transmission in 2018 and it's still running strong with over 50k miles on it! Highly recommend!
