I have been a customer of Sun Devil Auto for many years. Their shop has gone through many changes in management and staff over the years, but their dedication to quality work and upkeep of technical knowledge is beyond compare. I have spent thousands of $s on repairs across four vehicles and found that the rapport technicians have with their customers is second to none. They make sure that their work addresses the issues and needs expressed by the customer. Their service excellence is what keeps me coming back, year after year.

This shop s service was so professional and friendly. Alex and John were very good at explaining the services they provide. I went in for an oil change and asked that the truck be inspected, like the breaks, shocks, and such. Once my truck was serviced, I received an email, text and phone call that my truck was ready. The visual inspection was thoroughly explained. I m very happy with the service. I highly recommend them.

Beware of this place. I took my car for an oil change and they informed me that my suspension needed 5,000 worth of repairs. I took my car to a Jeep Dealership where 3 mechanic advisors checked my car for two days, and they all stated that my car was fine. This shop wanted to scam me out of 5,000. Don't trust this place. I will never get my oil changed here and I recommend you never take your car to this shop, they are scammers.

I recently had my cracked exhaust repaired at Sun Devil Auto, and I couldn't be more satisfied. The team efficiently fixed the issue in two days, showcasing their expertise. Been needing to take in Timberland (my car name your car folks) for a quick fix, and was QUICK! Costly but also got a GREAT discount with the coupon I used, and it was worth every penny! Alvin was attentive and let me know every step of the way what would happen with Timbo, also letting me know the exact estimate, so that there were no surprises. Car is working so well, you d think Optimus Prime worked here himself. Couldn t recommend these guys more. Thanks for getting back on the road in a timely, but most importantly, safely manner!

I paid over $1600 on my Prius front end assembly and includes the alignment and a brand new front one tire they said.! However my front tires lasted only 3 months I meant completely worm out , the big O tires told me that I need an alignment on the car so I told them I just an alignment it doesn t seem like an alignment was done so I went to the Toyota dealer and they told me the same thing I need an alignment , I called the sun devil auto and the best they could do was arguing with me and that we recommend 6 months alignment instead of just saying we. Forgot! Sun Devil auto is the worst thing that had ever happened in my life.! I changed the front tires now three times already In last than 7 months.!!!

Was not very impressed with Sun Devil Auto. I have had multiple repairs done here in the last couple of months. For starters, you always end up spending more than you think you will and it will take longer than they say it will. The communication is not great, and it doesn t feel like you re really a valued customer. The diagnostic they gave me for my check engine light was wrong, so that makes me wonder about the validity of the other things they told me. I went to another shop who identified the problem as a completely different issue, fixed it, and my check engine light went away. Sun Devil Auto told me it was something else, which I actually ended up checking myself (and had a friend look at it) after and seeing no damage/issue with the part in question. To wrap up my review I will not be going here again.

My experience with Sun Devil was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I called to inquire and make an appointment, to the drop off and pick experience, everything was fantastic. Took my compressor and all other parts out, to fix my alternator and battery. They never ran my car system to make sure everything was all good. Came to pick my car up with no A/C .. The didn t do anything but give me another quote! I just payed $1300 and all of a sudden something else is wrong with my car. NEVERRRRRRRR AGAIN! Before coming to this place, make sure you have prior history for your vehicle!!!!!! Because you ll need something to reference dealing with these guys.

They recently did work on which they charged $800 for parts. Genuine manufacturer replacement parts would've cost half that; the aftermarket parts they used were likely even less. Their parts mark ups are ridiculous. I'm kicking myself for letting them do this job. Before you let them do major work on your car, get a second opinion from an independent mechanic. It likely will save you hundreds of dollars.

Very honest, great communication, first time using them. Loved how detailed they were with pics of all issues that needed to be fixed and explaining option while not pushing for work that wasn't necessary. Would use them again for sure. Thank you.

Went to get an oil change and spent an hour in the shop. My car was parked down an alley after completed but no one told me I was good to go. Then I notice the tires were switched from back to front which I didn t ask for. This somehow made my car drive differently, along with the brake inspection I never asked for. My tires look low on air and my car is driving different. I don t appreciate being taken advantage of my time and kindness. Definitely would not return or recommend going!Update: all my tires were low at 35psi, ontop of my nozzle being broken from fluid fillup.

My company gave me a different work vehicle and it was having problems starting. I don't get paid to work on my own vehicle so I took it to Sun Devil. They found out right away that someone had damaged the terminals on the battery connection and on the battery wires. Everything was repaired Within 30 minutes.

I just found my new mechanic! I drive by here all the time I m a valley native so have been aware of them practically my whole life (they ve been around 40+ years i think) but have never used their services. I finally decided to give them a try and was blown away by the fast friendly service! They were very clear in explaining the issues with my vehicle, and recommended different courses of action (instead of just presenting me with the most expensive option). They will definitely be my go to place for automotive repair in the future.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I've been a loyal Sun Devil Auto customer for 4 years, and this shop is simply the best.I knew nothing about cars when I started coming here, and they take the time to answer all of my questions and educate me on how my car works and functions. If they started a car maintenance class, I would sign up in a heartbeat!They have continued to build my trust by treating me like a person, not a walking wallet. There was this one time where I needed a new starter, new spark plugs, and a bunch of preventative maintenance. They educated me on each line item, and did not pressure me to buy it all at once. They helped me spread it out over time to match my budget. Another time, they personally looked up coupons for me to help lower the price. Who even does that these days???I could go on and on about their amazing customer service, but the sad truth is that I'm moving away from AZ soon. And let me tell you, finding a new place that treats me like Sun Devil Auto is going to be a challenge. Is it weird to say that I'm going to miss this place? My battery ruptured while I was in Phoenix for work. It also happened to be a holiday weekend. But Sun Devil got the battery replaced and a diagnostic check completed quickly. I also had the serpentine belt replaced. Took my car in to get serviced when I told them what the codes were. A cylinder misfire in cylinder 1. I asked to have my spark plugs replaced and was told they would have to diagnose it themselves for 175. I told them I just wanted my spark plugs replaced. I dropped my car off for them thinking I would have my car fixed. I get a call being told my engine needs to be replaced. I paid the diagnostic fee. And drove to the nearest Autozone, bought my spark plugs,replaced them and my car is running fine. After a few miles down the road my engine light went off. Don't trust their Technicians a simple scan tool is all you need to self diagnose and DIY repair. Thx for charging me 184.50 for something i didn't need. This visit did not go well. Sun Devil, diagnosed my hybrid battery is being dysfunctional and needing to be replaced $7000 in cost. I decided to go to a battery specialist for hybrids and they told me that there was nothing wrong with the battery and it didn t need to be replaced instead the fan cooling the battery needs to be replace, which is a part that Sun Devil installed. On top of this they charged me. $200 for this diagnosis which was incorrect. They would ve charged me $400 but I insisted that they had already replaced this part so they looked in their records and found that it was under warranty through Sun Devil. Great service. Had my car towed here on the 4th of July when my battery died and was so corroded AAA couldn t do anything. They were quick to update me, talk me through options and price points and get my car back to me. Would definitely recommend going here.Service: BatteryService: Battery

As a woman I appreciate being treated respectfully and honestly. This garage is close to my home - I have used them several times and never feel like they don t treat me honestly. Their prices are reasonable, they don t upsell me. The young man who waited on me was just a perfect representative. Stopped here because car began making a horrible noise when I left work almost 6 when the close. Ken was fantastic. He came out to car and gave me honest opinion on if I could drive home and go to regular mechanic. Left car there to be checked out first thing in the morning. He kept me informed on exactly what was happening and had my car ready in time to take it home after work.
