Red Flag Alert: Concealed Vehicle Damage at Payes AutomotiveI feel compelled to disclose my unsettling experience with Payes Automotive. Entrusting my 1966 Ford Thunderbird for critical repairs, I sought their expertise for power windows, air conditioning, and brake lights. However, the consistent lack of communication marred the process. Even worse, my vehicle suffered damage under their supervision. Shockingly, they not only failed to inform me promptly but also attempted to sweep it under the rug. Despite promises, I was left without timely updates or any visual evidence of progress. This ordeal not only disrupted my plans but also eroded my car's value. If you're considering Payes Automotive, be warned: the concealed damage, coupled with their communication shortcomings, casts a shadow on their credibility. I have known Kevin and Fonda since 2014. They are awesome and super friendly. They keep good communication with their customers, and are honest and dependable. I only trust Kevin and his crew work on my truck. I would recommend them to anyone who needs service or maintenance.

Brought my truck to replace alternator - it was done by end of day. Prices are on par with other locations. Fonda at front office was super nice!

I have used Payes Automotive twice now for some big repairs to mu cars. The service is amazing! Kevin and his staff are kind and honest. They diagnosed the problems quick and accurate and the repairs were flawless. Keven gave me options to try to keep cost down which was so helpful. I recommend Payes Automotive to anyone in need of car service.

Great customer service. Kevin and his staff have a genuine passion for cars and they devote an equal amount of effort into the customer service side. Most any shop can "fix" a car, but they often skimp on the customer service. You can tell that Payes Automotive cares not only about your car, but also about you. Kevin and his team excel at both and really make the whole repair process as seamless as can be. Would recommend.

I needed an alignment due to uneven tire wear. Great service, great price, and very knowledgeable. Will be getting all my future business for my automotive needs.Update 8/26/21. Cylinder 1 misfire in my truck. Diagnosed a worn cam lobe. Got my truck back today and it's a beast again! Thank you Kevin and gang!

Kevin and his team will take care of you, dedicated and honest service.They let you know what is wrong, quickly.In addition they will inform you of needed maintenance, to prevent future problems. Not like everybody else, it will be explained to which item should be a priority.I take all my vehicles to Payes, They know what they are doing and do it very well.Thanks, Kevin and Team

Why would I drive 40mi to Payes Automotive in Phoenix? Because I know I'm going to be taken care of! I do not know Kevin Payes super well but I am somewhat of a family friend. He and his wife would likely dispute the "somewhat of a family friend" statement because of their friendly and caring natures. My story is this: My car broke down in California about 4hrs from Phoenix. I was towed to a dealership and told I would need a new transmission at the cost of $4,000.00. I called Kevin and his wife Fonda for some simple advice. He told me "That sounds kind of strange to me Chris?" Followed by: "If you want, I can come out there and tow you back for the cost of fuel and see if we can save you some money because it just doesn't sound right." Kevin and his wife came out to get me for the price of fuel! (who does that!).....which incidentally is more than the cost of the repair which was a gasket on the transmission! I asked Kevin to do more to my 03 Honda Odyssey so the total charged is high but less than $700.00. The true total repairs came to $150.00 plus about $200.00 for towing. Well, that's not near the $4,000.00I could be out of today. Kevin, Fonda and the great mechanics at Payes Automotive. Thank you for your time. Your time to be honest and upfront with your customers. Your time to explain and tell your customers what absolutely needs to be fixed, what doesn't, what can be fixed later and what will save us, (your customers money). I'll always come back! Kevin and his crew were able to get my car (Honda Del Sol) in on short notice, and had it done early the same day. A "Big Box" shop not far from there tried to tell me it needed a radiator, thermostat and hoses to remedy the sudden cause of overheating. Not trusting that diagnosis I called Kevin with Payes Automotive to see if I could get his opinion before I authorize a repair, and also told him I would prefer he do the work anyhow, since he had done a great job for me in the past. Sure enough he was able to just do the thermostat, and hoses are just maintenance of course that needed to be replaced. My care did NOT need a radiator like the other place told me. It's been 3 months and the car is still running strong with no hiccups. The moral of the story is Payes Automotive is quick fair and honest. Saving me hundreds of dollars and I was back on the road in no time. I had been to Payes in the past, now with this recent experience, I will not go anywhere else. I encourage you to give them a chance to earn your business too.

Kevin (Payes Automotive) has serviced my truck for a couple of years now. He and his family have always been 100% honest and great to do business with. This is the only shop I recommend to my friends and family.

The folks at Payes Automotive are HONEST, FAIR and extremely KIND. I have an 03 Nissan Pick up Truck and my power steering fluid was leaking. He actually showed me where the leak was coming from and what needed to be fixed before giving me a fair price and doing the work. I went to Pep Boys and they wanted to charge me double the amount of $$ to get my truck fixed.Thumbs up to Payes Automotive. They deserve 6 STARS!!.Thank you Payes Automotive for doing such a great job with my truck and your customer service is OUTSTANDING. I will refer PAYES Automotive to all my friends and family!!

Kevin Payes is very professional and incredibly knowledgeable his shop redid everything on the front end of my 1989 dodge dakota and did my Exhaust system my Dakota Handel's better than when it was new and my new exhaust system sounds great I truly believe if you use Payes Automotive you will be incredibly satisfied with his honesty and thoroughness
