Took my vehicle here after another shop attempted to fix a suspension/steering issue and were unable to. The people at Harker's properly diagnosed the problem, and presented me with two options for repair. The part was dealer only, but the dealer couldn't give an eta when one would be available, because of backorder. They took the time to find a used part from a low mileage vehicle and present that to me as an alternative, which saved me both money on the repair, as well as down time on my vehicle.They communicated with me from start to end, did what they said, and now my vehicle is driving like new.Definitely recommend, and I'll be back for any future auto repairs.

Definite 5 star review. I ran into an issue with my radiator. I called and got my car looked at immediately. The staff are so kind. So informative. So patient. I had to drive across country and they got my car fixed properly. My car is still running well to this day. Thank you guys SO MUCH! Would absolutely recommend.

Absolutely the best shop in town. They fixed the A/C in my moms car same day and it was a mess, they replaced so many componets. My Jeeps factory warranty just expired and this will be my go-to shop for that as well.

I've been trying to find a Great Auto mechanic!!!! And I found a Fabulous independent, thoughtful, truthful and Knowledgeable one in this Great company!!!!! I have a kind of rare special car. Another well known auto mechanic company told me that they wouldn't touch it but they highly recommended Larry Harker's to me!!!!!! I stopped by and talked to Bob, and he looked at my car and told me what he thought that my car needed. A month later I took the manual with the specs that he needed and they turned my car to the specs. I have been bent over before by mechanics in the past!!!! I dropped the car off at 7:30 am and received a call around 4pm. I was Plesantly surprised with the final bill !!!!! I truly Highly recommend this Fabulous company to fix my cars and Yours!!!!!!!! Others may have had a a good experience obviously from the high rating of this shop. My experience wasn't so pleasant. The owner was rude despite his employees being very professional. Back to to owner. Tried to quote me $400 for a key fob replacement and program. He quickly changed his wording when he realized I wasn't dumb enough to agree to that outrageous price. After that point I was very skeptical about getting work done being that they charge $126 for a diagnosis which isn't even applied to the overall repair cost. This owner needs to clearly take classes on good customer service from his own employees. What a joke this place is I definitely won't recommend anyone go here there's probably better places to spend your hard earned money.. blessings

I applied for emission 900.00 to pay for repairs and this place was amazing! Scheduled me for appointment right away repaid my truck and passed emission only 100 deductible called me and picked up my truck, everything one I made contact with was over the top!

Made an appointment to get my car's ac compressor looked at. Was warmly greeted by Ellen outside, offered water, and they have a portable ac outside while you're there. Everyone is super nice and knows exactly what they are doing. They even offered us a ride back to our place while we waited on the repairs. Bob called to ask us if we wanted a couple new parts they found rusty and quoted everything super fair and straight up, talked me through what they were doing. When we picked it up later in the day, Bob showed us all the fragments in the old piece. So thankful for them, their driver, the mechanics, highly recommend, great place that's been around for awhile, and 2 whoops to the mechanic that makes the metal butterflies they hand out. Larry Harker's installed brakes, sshock struts, belts, and a few other items on my wife's 2000 Corolla. Excellent workmanship and great people to deal with. It's a rare occasion when one can say that they love their mechanic...but I love my mechanic.Larry Harker has a long history of being a highly rated and an honest place to have work done on your vehicles. One of my cars is living proof of that, my Malibu has 325,000 miles on it and still runs like the day it rolled off the showroom floor. Occasional preventative maintenance and repairs that would have likely been a somewhat more expensive and work not done in a timely manner at a dealership has been completely avoided by using seeing Bob & Ellen at Larry Harker on Indian School Rd in Phoenix.Marty B.

Wonderful mom and pop shop. They took really good care of my 1994 oldsmobile cutlass supreme and even gave me a discount on the original quoted price. I'd definitely go back and I'm recommending them to anyone and everyone who needs a mechanic.

I ve been to Harkers twice now. I m very Satisfied with the treatment I have had by the staff. I felt the estimate was honest. The work was excellent. What more can you ask for in auto repair. Me and my mom have used Larry Harkers for close to 20 years. I keep going back because they care about the customer. Sometimes it'll be a year or so between visits but they always remember the discussions we had previously. They also go out of their way to help give cheaper alternative s when you are low on cash to keep your vehicle running. I recommend this shop to all my friends and family and always will. It's nice having a place you can trust to not rip you off and this is the place.

So happy I went here. I was told by another mechanic that my car had many issues one of which being that that my tie rods were loose but guess what? Bob had his team check my tie rods and they are fine. My car was also over heating and they found out that someone poured stop leak in my car and that it was low on coolant. They resolved the issue and not only that...THEY FIXED MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW AND DIDN'T CHARGE ME FOR IT! My window wasn't going down but now it does. That totally made my day! I had to bring my Jeep Grand Cherokee in recently because it started making horrible noises on a long road trip. My car is now blissfully quiet and fully functioning. These people are very kind, experienced, honest, and quick and I highly, highly recommend this mechanic to anyone in the Phoenix area for their auto needs!My experience:When I came in to drop of my Jeep, Bob came and listened to my car immediately, told me what he suspected, and then looked in more detail over the next hour. I was then showed what the problems were, the likely causes, and different price points depending on what ended up needing replacement and whether I wanted them to use after market parts or new factory-made parts to repair the issues. The repairs I needed were a new pulley which attaches to my water pump due to cracking and warping from missing and broken bolts, a new water pump due to a bolt from the pulley breaking off into the pump, and a new fan clutch due to play in the large engine fan (or whatever it's called). Bob was very clear about what was likely to happen depending on what I chose, and was very transparent about factors influencing prices and realistic outcomes. Bob and Ellen set me up with a ride home from one of their very kind mechanics, and also sent him to come pick me up from where I live when I needed to pick up my car the day after.Service: General repairs & maintenance

We took our Toyota Corolla for a diagnosis on transmission problems after careful research suggested this shop was the best place in the transmission business in the Valley. The prognosis wasn't good and we elected not to make repairs. The woman in the office was super haughty and while we were discussing the car in the lot with one of the mechanics, minced across the parking lot, waving her WAY over-priced bill for the diagnosis at us, as if she thought we were trying to drive away in a car that wouldn't drive. Super humiliating and totally unnecessary. And while it was fair to pay a fee for the diagnosis, the $127 we were charged for NOTHING was way out of line. I think the mechanics and Bob (don't know where/who Larry was) were great and thoughtful and up-front with us, but they need to get rid of the woman in the office with the super bad vibe. Even when we dropped off the car, she was totally snooty when we tried to give her our phone number, because it happened to be written down on a piece of paper from a competitor. Gouging a 19-year-old for $127 for a diagnosis that her car was terminal is just not cool. Next time we have transmission problems, we'll just go to Sun Devil Auto.

Fantastic honest service.. arrived around 8:00 am for a rattling sound in my front end, turned out to be loose nuts, re-torqued them was out in less than 2 hours.

No BS this place does you right. The prices are fair and the place is family owned and operated. If you are looking for a trustful place to get your work done this is the place, and I'll tell ya how I'm certain....My husband (12 year veteran) has worked at Larry Harker for a couple years now. He likes the management, and they treat us as family. He has worked a few other places, I won't name them, but let's just say he wouldn't work at a place that he wouldn't want his name associated with! This place is about Honesty, integrity, and customer service.

I've been using Larry Harker for 13 years now and they have serviced many of mycar/trucks over the years. Ellen is very nice to chat on the phone and Bob always called and gave me step by step info and costs when he finds the trouble areas.they are not Cheap but fairly industry priced. If your looking for Cheap/ low cost auto repair that may not solve your issue than they are not for you, but if you want to get your car/truck problem solved than the can help.

Buying a used car can be very stressful, but the team at Larry Harkers provided a very thorough inspection. There services saved me $6,500. They did a detailed inspection and explained clearly what was wrong with the vehicle, which helped to make the decision clear. Thanks for great shops like this.

I had to be at work on a very important day when my started gurgling. I got there when it opened and I was told I needed an ignition coil and ignition module. I was also told I would have it by 10:30 am after a diagnostic ended at around 8am. I was out of the door by 9am and made it to work and saved most of the work day. Amazing ! Some may complain about price, but in a pinch it is the fair price for getting your life back on track with one of the most vital tools that everyone must use. I highly recommend this shop to anyone.

Amazing service. Bob and Ellen are the sweetest couple. Jeremy my tech was very knowledgeable and super friendly. Ive been here twice for two vehicles and Bob was straight forward with repairs. My vehicles will come here for now on.
