We have taken both of our cars in. They went above and beyond for us. They asked questions, ensure I understood everything and kepted me updated through the process.I highly recommend this shop! And I did, my best friend just took hism.panamera there and they took amazing care of him.

Was referred to them from Blackwells since they don't work on Audi s. John and Team took great care of me. Saved me some $$ and completed the job as they said they would. I'd like to have given them a better review, maybe even 4 . However, after much consideration & deliberation, amongst wise counsel, I've decided that one bad apple shouldn't spoil the whole bunch. Overall, my experience with the mechanic, was great. It was the front desk/service writer, whose attitude, technical-knowledge, lack of communication skills & professionalism which ultimately caused the 1-star rating I have given. Unfortunately, the front-desk/reception staff is responsible for making first impressions & in this case, I was unimpressed. On my first call, to find out if they might be able to help me, I was told they would be happy to take a look & to have it towed to them. I did. When the tow truck & I arrived, I wasn't greeted or even acknowledged for nearly 15 minutes. When I was finally addressed, it was with an attitude that didn't make me feel welcomed as a customer or like my vehicle would be in good & capable hands. The service writer asked me to explain my issue, which I began to, not even a sentence into my response, he rudely cut me off by talking over me. He said that "his" mechanics wouldn't be able to help based off of what I almost got a chance to tell him. We went back & forth a few times of me attempting to actually explain the issue but he never once allowed me to finish, cutting me off with an escalating level of condescension each time. Luckily, a mechanic had come up to see what was happening. He gave me a chance to explain the issue to him. He was kind & seemed genuinely interested in helping. He apologized for the receptionist, saying, "he doesn't really know cars." They diagnosed my problem, charged me what we had agreed upon, and gave me my car back promptly. If my experience had gone differently from the jump, I would have used them for the repair, but because of the receptionist's incompetence, I chose to do the repair myself. My advice, side step reception, if you can.

I love this shop. John has worked on my car several times throughout the years and each time they have gotten my car out quickly, at a fair price, and have always been open and honest with their communication. I've been a regular customer here for a while and I'll never go anywhere else. These guys are so trustworthy, get my car in and out quickly, and are patient and kind. They have taken such good care of my Volkswagen beetle. They never try to sell me things I don't need. So I own a cool old 04 Lincoln Aviator. It had some issues and Import Car was recommended. Seven days later, because of the scope of the work, I got it back. I could not be happier!! It was spendy but I really think it s going to be well worth it. Thanks John and TJ

What can I say about Jimmy and company over at Import Car Specialists? They are consummate professionals and know their vehicles. I m a rare Audi collector and these guys know exactly what there is to know about every nuance of these unique vehicles.They take their time, listen, ask questions and then explain, in detail, what may be wrong based on my description. Then they scan and diagnose the root cause and define a clear path to its resolution. They even arrange a ride from their shop while the work is being done.Their quality is superb. Their professionalism is unheard of these days and their prices best any shop or even mobile mechanic I ve had the misfortune of trying prior to finding them. My German ladies will NEVER see another garage.Just yesterday I had a small issue that they resolved on their own time primarily for customer satisfaction. Thank you Brandon.I received a welcome email from Matt the owner the day after I had my first appointment with them, and a text from Jimmy the next day asking how my service was.Keep it up guys. I'm from out of town, and since I've been in the Phoenix area I took my Volvo in for its first oil change at Cobblestone Auto Spa. When it was done, the message still displayed "Maintenance needed" and when I pointed that out to them, they still couldn't get the light turned off so I had to drive with it like that for months. Next time it needed an oil change, I wanted a place that would know how to turn off the message light when they were done. Brought it in to Import Car Specialists and they did the oil change plus recommended some other maintenance - air filter and brake fluid. When I picked it up and we ran into an issue, they worked with me to solve the problem. I recommend this shop!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Very friendly service and went over and above in servicing my 89 Volkswagen Cabriolet. They were fair on pricing and helped get my 33 year old water cooled VW sorted out. I had to bring the car back in for some further diagnostic work, however they were very helpful and professional! Highly recommend the team at import car specialists. Thanks again!

My Mercedes was completely dead last Friday morning, so I called Import Car Specialists since they did an awesome job last time I was in. I spoke with Matt and he said bring the car in and they would get to work on it right away. I had my buddy jump the car and we dropped it off with Matt. An hour later my was car was good to go. I really appreciate the quickness and efficiency. These guys do a great job and it wasn't expensive at all. This is the 2nd time I've used Import Car Specialists and I highly recommend them. I chose Import Car Specialists based on ratings and (mostly) location. Brought my car in on a Tuesday morning with a list of issues and things to check. John was a pleasure to deal with - and once we discussed what items to take care of, and what could be put off, he gave me a completion estimate of the end of the following day along with a price estimate.He called mid afternoon Wednesday that my car was ready (several hours before it needed to be), and the final price was within $10 of the quote - LESS than the over-the-phone estimate.It was an easy process and transaction, John is knowledgeable and sincere - the great reputation this place has is well deserved.I'll definitely be back!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

I found Import Car Specialist about 2 years ago, when my 2009 Volkswagen cc had a fuel problem. They are friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. They diagnosed my cars problem, ordered the parts and I was back on the road again. They always let me know what needs to be done to keep my car running in good shape. My air conditioning in my vehicle was not working properly. I took my car to Import Car Specialists. I asked them to service my air conditioning. After dropping off my car with them and went home, I received a call from their shop and was informed that my cabin air filter needed replaced and the shop manager recommended that I not waste my money on servicing my air conditioner. He told me that changing the cabin filter should fix the problem. I took his advice and my car is blowing hard and cold. Living in Phoenix, this was great news and I really appreciated the professionalism and honesty these guys displayed. They had every opportunity to take advantage of me, but they didn t and they earned a customer for life. I just had them change the oil on my vehicle and they did a great job and they did so very quickly. Take your vehicle elsewhere, do your due diligence and don't support these people. Took my vehicle in to be inspected. 4 days passed and I had to call to get a response from them. 1st red flag, secondly they couldn't figure out what was wrong with the car. In the end they didn't do a thing except take my money. Avoid them, save yourself from a headache and stress. Really bad customer service. You will think the price you pay for parts and repair you ll receive a better experience but that s not the case here. I ll suggest to spend you hard earn money elsewhere

I have an Audi Q5, needed the in between Oil Change, as Audi recommends every 10k, and I am a 5k changer. So after doing my research found out this facility is owned by Matt Allen of @virginiaauto and the Saturday KTAR bumper to bumper radio show. My appointment was at 8am, I arrived at 7:30am. I immediately was impressed with the cleanliness of the office area. Looking out into the bays they were clean the mechanics were all in uniform. A bit after 8am Mr. Allen came in he was personable and polite. He even let a homeless person use the phone who walked in off the street. My car was done after an hour needed a cabin filter and nothing else. Provided me some recommended preventative service for a future visit. The cost for my service was about 1/4 of what it would have been at the dealer. If you need a good job at a fair price come here its worth the drive conveniently located of the 51 and Indian School road.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

Jimmy is the man!! My Chrysler van broke down just off the 51 and luckily in the parking lot of Import Car Specialists! It was 112ish outside and he had a tech checking out my ride within minutes. It wound up needing an altenator and he said he could get the part first thing in the morning. Sure enough, he was calling me at 10:30am the next day letting me know I was good to go! Great service and reasonable price is hard to beat!!

Im super happy With Import car Specialist They managed to fix my Bmw Witch it hadElectrical problems , They are Very super clean and honest and friendly people, the don t try to steal money from you they go straight to the point on what is wrong with you vehicle , they even explain what s is the issue . I will bring my car on the future to this guys :)

I took both my vehicles (Toyota & Volvo) in the past week and both times the work performed was excellent! Jimmy & the rest of the team at Import were great! The price quoted for each repair was very reasonable and I'll definitely be back!

My battery died on me about a mile from the shop. I had a Dr.'s appointment and was going to be late. I walked into the shop and asked if he could drive me to my car and give me a jump. He did so immediately and I was able to make it to my appointment on time. I offered him 20 dollars for his trouble, but he said forget about it and do something nice for someone else. I thought it was a really nice gesture and I appreciate the assistance and not being late for my appointment. THANK YOU.Service: Battery

The gentleman here are kind and professional. I didn t mind paying the 1900 to fix the ac compressor and drive belt tensioner. They even let me know the possibility of the radiator and hoses busting during labor, which they did. I couldn t afford the extra $900 that would cost so I towed my car home. I bought the new parts and had another mechanic come over to install them, however he wasn t able to finish without the bolts that were removed when ICS took out the busted radiator and hoses. I called them to see where the missing parts where but they re no where to be found. After a few attempts of calling to check if theyve been found, my calls stopped getting answered and voicemails unreturned. I wish I could alreast compliment their service on the ac compressor but I have yet to get the new bolts for the radiator and hoses, therefore my car is still parked.Service: A/C installation & repair

I paid them $520 to fix a sensor and when I get my car back it was worse than when I sent the car in and they tried saying it was the fuel pump witch is a $700 fix, but in reality they are just gonna fix their mistake and try to con me out of more money I recommend finding another European shop. On top of the fact that their prices aren t reasonable for the results of their work, now I am outta $520 and still don t have a working carService: Electrical repair

Lucked up and found the guys when I moved here was at the DMV spot across the street and noticed it!! They always take care of me and give good advice!!! This is an add on to what I posted before, I have been going thru some medical issues the last few months, been outta work and really struggling financially, I m not gonna say exactly how they helped me out, but without them I would not be able to be on the road to recovery that I m on right now!!!!! I can t even explain much I appreciate what they did for me in my time of need!!! I will never go to any other shop while I m in this area, they Forever have my business, and even more importantly than that, my gratitude!!!!

I was very impressed with the service I received today. Clean and professional, my appointment was early and Jimmy was ready and expecting me. I've been going to Jim and Ray since I could drive (1994) and will not go anywhere else. Honest, great pricing, and will give it to you straight. Out of curiosity I've tried other places over the years and have always gone back to Import even though they are now 30 miles away from where I live.At this point there probably isn't much they haven't seen. They are the type of guys you hope never retire.

Very satisfied with the friendly, low pressure service. Jimmy (Manager) was very personable and thorough. Also, don t let the name fool you, they did an excellent job on my domestic Jeep Liberty.

Took my VW GTI as my engine was shaking and losing revs from time to time (EPC light on the dashboard). Matt was very professional/helpful and found the culprit to be my water pump leaking causing a malfunction on a sensor. Replaced with a whole new metal cast pump + sensor. Drove the vehicle all weekend with no problems, thx guys!
