Having recently relocated to Phoenix, we have been looking for a new shop. AAA PV team took care of getting me home and back to the shop during the repair, did the work in a timely manner, and for less than the quote I had in hand from another shop in the area. Staff were all professional and friendly. I will be back for maintenance and repairs. Thank you AAA TEAM!

I had my brakes replaced here a while back and they started to be a problem. I took the car in and AAA diagnosed and repaired the problem under warranty. Super grateful for their help. These guys always do a great job. I have been going here for many years, multiple vehicles. Highly recommend. THANK YOU!!

Well run organization. They work on older OBD1 cars as well. Shop is spotless - more than I can say about others I evaluated. Transparent in their charges and explained the bill thoroughly. A bit on the pricier side, but maybe in the big picture they are the best value for $. Like they say, you get what you pay for. Brian (my technician) determined my problem quickly and efficiently. I'll be back.

Been with AAA for 9 years. Had to have a new battery replaced. After installation Orlando took my money and split. When I got in my car to run some errands, my dashboard was lit like a Christmas tree. I went to the AAA garage on greenway and 40th street to see if they could reset. The manager came out telling me I didn t have an appointment. I told him my issue, which he could care less, and without even looking at my dash told me I had to take it to a Honda dealership. There wasn t anything he could do. Btw I m in a wheelchair and getting around is difficult. I left and went to my repair shop and they had it resolved in 5 minutes. The AAA manager was a self righteous arrogant human being. Don t take your cars there. You ll be sorry.

Car was serviced quickly which was great. When I made the initial appointment, the employee over the phone told me I could get a diagnostic on a squeaking rattling sound yet on the day of the service, it wasn't communicated properly and I was only set up for an oil change. The man who helped me the day of service, Gibson, was fairly rude about explaining why that wasn't possible. He even said something like "I'm not finished talking" when I explained I needed more help understanding the miscommunication. Later when picking up the car he didn't greet me or my partner and we stood in silence for quite some time and rude again when explaining all the things wrong with my car. There was an estimated ticket for almost 7k worth of repairs. Its common for me to experience this at mechanic shops where I'm not being treated with courtesy and respect, especially when being talking to about the way my car works. So far, my continued experience is something like "your mechanic doesn't know what their doing, you're dumb enough to fall for it, let me explain what's actually happening." It gets pretty old. I like AAA and have never had problems with their costumer service before, but this guy was cold (in his silence and lack of a smile) and a jerk in his tone of voice when speaking to me. I shouldn't have to be rich, well dressed, knowledgeable about cars, or a man to get just some kindness and general courtesy, especially when I push back about a problem I experienced with a miscommunication about services. I'm sure Gibson is nice to other people, but I unfortunately didn't get the best side of him today.

If you are looking for a great auto repair shop in Paradise Valley, look no further than AAA Paradise Valley Auto Repair Center. I have been a loyal customer of theirs for over a year and I can honestly say that these folks run a classy shop. They have a team of skilled and experienced mechanics with weird names, who can handle any kind of car trouble. The folks working up at the front desk are always courteous, respectful and transparent. They take the time to explain what is wrong with my car, what needs to be done to fix it, and how much it will cost. They also give me different options to suit my budget and preferences. The manager, Gibson, is particularly good at breaking down complex technical terms into simple language that I can understand. He never pushes me to do anything that I don t want to do and always respects my final choice. He also follows up with me after the repair to make sure everything is working well. I appreciate the informal yet informational nature of the shop. They make me feel like a valued customer and a friend. I trust them completely with my car and I would recommend them to anyone who needs a reliable and trustworthy auto repair service.Services: Transmission, Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, Auto exhaust system repair, General repairs & maintenance, Steering & suspension replacement, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Tire rotations, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Auto emissions testing, Auto maintenance

We took our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee here for warranty service since the dealer couldn't fit us in for a couple of weeks. They rapidly diagnosed the issues, effected repairs and even handled the paperwork with the extended warranty folks. Good customer service, good mechanical service and was performed in an efficient, timely manner as promised. We dropped it off and picked it up fixed! That's as good as it gets for auto repair! Thanks again to the entire team.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I had my car towed to this shop. They were very busy and it took me a few days to get a diagnosis of my problem because it was a major issue. Gibson, the store manager kept me updated of what the problems are, when they would be fixed, and the price as it became a myriad of other repairs necessary. From what I see so far the mechanic did an excellent job, and Gibson is a manager that I felt was honest and trustworthy. I would be very comfortable taking my car here again.

I took my car in for an oil change and had the "check engine light" showing on my dash, so I asked them to do the diagnostic. The cooling thermostat had to be replaced and they efficiently got it done for me. I am pleased with the prompt service, and customer care they show.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil changeServices: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

I went in for an oil change and some other items were discovered that needed repair. I was told the housing unit that holds the air filter was damaged and needed replaced. Among other things were shocks, brake fluid and a serpentine belt. I took the car to Ford for a 2nd opinion and was advised only the bottom of the air filter housing was damaged and could be replaced without replacing the entire thing. AAA quoted $900 for this. Ford was $240 for only the broken part. The brake fluid and shocks are fine. AAA missed that a motor mount was leaking and that my radiator hoses need replacing. Ford was $600 less to take care of the serpentine, the housing, motor mount and hoses than AAA. I suggest getting a 2nd opinion if this location quotes you on repairs. Not 100% accurate and seemingly overpriced.Service: Oil change

Gibson Daoud , Service Advisor, does not back up their work. Went in because AC was blowing warm. Left with Valve lifter adjustment, brake fluid, transmission fluid service and brake fluid exchange. Car now vibrates and lags when changing speed. Made appointment to fix and when checking in , Gibson told me it would have to stay over night and blamed the female parts driver that made my appointment for not telling me during the appointment. I made another appointment through Gibson and when I arrived for the appointment, he said it would have to stay overnight. He said they were just busy and "even dealerships" keep the car overnight. I live 30 minutes away. Don't know if this poor service is due to the fact I am female or they don't like to check their work or maybe both.Services: Transmission, Auto side window replacement, Auto A/C recharge, Brakes

We live and frequent the Gilbert location, but while in Phoenix this morning, I stopped by the AAA Paradise Valley location. Even though they were booked up for the week, they squeezed our car in for an oil change and saved us a ton of trouble. Both employees at front desk greeted me with a smile and were super pleasant, but want to shout out Gibson for helping us out, he's awesome... Thanks for saving the day!

It you like good customer service AVOID AAA auto repair paradise valley. I was told I was lying, told they could not try to diagnose my car since I asked for an oil change. When they made a mistake they blamed me instead of apologizing. GIBSON DAOUD needs lessons on basic human decency and customer service.Services: Battery, Oil changeServices: Battery, Oil change

Absolute best auto repair shop! I have been to many auto repair shops. Dealing with dishonesty and Mechanics lack of knowledge of their field, had me kinda hopeless about finding or trusting an Auto repair shop. I would and DO recommend this place to anyone in need of their service! Always respectful, Always knowledgeable. Always clean and well kept, I never have to deal with getting into my car and car grease or oil being on the interior of my vehicle. Pricing is affordable, Labor cost is an average rate. Every question I have is always answered. Having car trouble is stressful enough so it is absolutely necessary to have an auto repair shop you trust and isn't going to make the situation worse. I recommend service technician Mike, he's great!

Wow.. At my girlfriend's request I called to ask why they were putting a aftermarket non Toyota door mirror on my girlfriends Toyota Prius. The guy practically bit my head off and hung up on me? Really? This type of behavior is indicative of poor management and probably some deception.

I went to the AAA Auto Repair on 40th Street, they quoted $1285 to replace my timing belt and water pump for my Chevy Cruze. Midway Chevy quoted $800 for the same thing. I will not be going back to AAA.

TakenI own a 1997 Camaro SS (VIN 2G1FP32P2V2118888) with a 5.7 L / 350 cu in V8 LT engine that I had serviced from time to time at Blackwell Automotive. My car wouldn t start when I was trying to leave from a friend s house and I called AAA who send a tow truck taking it to the AAA Paradise Valley Auto Repair Center. I also told them about the problem with the coolant level light turning red intermittently, although the fluid in my radiator seemed alright and the engine temperature did not reach alarming levels. I was told that it was probably a sensor problem. Because I was scheduled to return to my summer residence I picked up my car to park it in my garage to address the red light issue upon my return to Phoenix. Numerous other issues were addressed and I received a bill for $1,609.36.A week before my return to Phoenix I contacted the AAA Paradise Valley Auto Repair Center to schedule a follow-up visit to fix the light indicator for a low coolant level. After delivering the vehicle I was called and told that a whole host of additional issues needed to be addressed. After these services were performed for $2,225.95, although the reason for the red light was not resolved. Later, I received a call that my head gasket was blown. In support of the diagnosis I was shown a photograph taken by a mechanic s cell phone.I told AAA not to fix the head gasket as I intended to drive across the street to Blackwell Automotive where a new refurbished engine from Jasper had been installed on 11/26/2018 at 71,167 miles giving me a warranty of 3 years or 100,000 miles. Since that time several other services had been performed (see Camaro 1997 Service Records at the end). Also note that the car was driven a mere 2,200 miles since replacement of the engine and other vehicle services.Blackwell performed two different block tests which showed no issue. Having been given two contradictory test results, I purchased my own testing kit from Block Tester, which showed no evidence of exhaust in the radiator system (see pictures 1 and 2).Blackwell also replaced the thermostat, because - in disbelief - they had found a disabled one in its place from which all functional parts had been cut out (picture 3). A normal thermostat from Autozone is shown in picture 4.MY CONCLUSION about the AAA Paradise Valley Auto Repair Center: A service pattern emerges which does not address the issue for which you bring your car in. Instead a lot of costly services are recommended to you. Don t do them but have them verified by another garage. It seems to have become industry standard to add unnecessary services like oil change, air filter and chassis lubes which could not have been possibly justified given the few miles since the last service of these items.Bogus issues are reported which an unwary customer would want immediately fixed like a blown head gasket. Again have it confirmed by another facility. But most concerning is the tampering with the thermostat by an ignoramus (see pictures 3 and 4). While I am not able to point out the exact time when this occurred, I can unequivocally claim that it happened either during my first or second back-to-back encounter with the AAA Paradise Valley Auto Repair Center in April or November 2021.

I scheduled a regular oil change on my truck and the services was great, they even reviewed the 31 point checkup which provided me with what had fail the test and the parts and items needing my attention. This gave me an indication of what would be needed most to the least, so as to scheduling of which to be fixed immediately down to the last item on the list. The crew at the shop were very professional and courteous as the work progressed. I would recommend the service to everyone out there.

My family and I have been scammed here for years! I took my Jeep Commander in to replace my brake lights and get an oil change. They told me they had tried to replace one of the lights and that it looked like an electrical problem. I was charged $150. For this and advised it would cost another $150.-$300. For exploration into the electrical with no idea what the total cost would look like until after the exploration. I suspected I was being scammed or by the very least over charged. As it turns out, I took the car to Auto-Care on Bell Rd. They confirmed I was lied to, and scammed. There was nothing wrong with the electrical, both bulbs were burned out and I got my oil change all for $100. This place is horrible. I suspected this scamming was going on , as the last few times I had work done here, there were missing parts, things that weren't broken came bake broken and always there were high and higher priced problems turning up after I brought my car in. So unprofessional and underhanded! Hate this place 2 thumbs down!!!

AAA is extraordinary! I had car towed last night. Phone call from service advisor by 9:30 this morning revealed what I had feared - alternator needed to be replaced. Tires were balding too. Mike took time to help me determine what tires I needed based in driving habits without overselling. I will be going here for all my maintenance from now on!

David and Mike at the shop are excellent and take care of both mine and my husband's cars. They consistently provide speedy service and the technicians are skilled at solving problems and keeping the cars running at peak performance. I value the AAA shop because the prices are listed on the wall and I know that they aren't taking advantage of me or my husband. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for anything from routine oil changes to complex repairs.
