We had the very best experience at Stronghold Auto Repair today. Art is amazing, kind, honest, did a great job. We'll have Stronghold care for both of our vehicles and we drove an hour and a half. It's absolutely worth it! The mechanics at the shop cared and were knowledgeable as well. I can't say enough good things.

Art was phenomenal with helping us out and getting us back on the road when we were pinched for time with a 24 road trip ahead of us. Smart, fast, and incredibly reliable. He is the best service around.

Great 1st time experience.! Have been living in the area for over a year, but had been using a mechanic in Wilcox the prior 2 years off n on, before moving here full time. Had a coolant leak issue the other shop incorrectly addressed & didn't feel comfortable driving the 1 hr trip back there for them to re-address, so after reading the reviews for Stronghold Auto, popped in without an appointment, and all the 5 star reviews were spot on.! Met w Art, the owner - he got my truck in quick & diagnosed - ordered the necessary part, came back in the next day & he and his staff had me fixed back up in not time. Staff I interacted with all seemed to have the same 'customer first' mentality Art does, which is great, especially in today's day n age.! i am very secure in knowing I now have a local mechanic that is is honest, straightforward & has great pricing, on top of that. Thank you, Art, Cody & staff..!

Had my v10 engine replaced in my class c motorhome in Tucson about a month ago but it was never able to get to 65mph so I took it to Art at Stronghold Auto in Pearce (Sunsities), they diagnosed and fixed the problem in 2 hours, Art and his mechanics are awesome

My car had extra miles on it cause they drove it for their personal use. It was only an oil change, nothing they would have to drive to test. He also ignored my questions about other repairs, not that will go back.

New resident here to tell you this auto shop is just the best. I walked in just after opening and asked if there was time to get an oil change anytime in next two days and They got me in right then and there! Offered me a chair and turned heat fan on and an hour later, done and all at reasonable cost too. As I hung out, noticed all the keys on the desk and how busy they were but they were so kind. Art and also, the gentleman who did oil change, were so friendly and efficient! Just makes the car chore that much better and happy customer here- will definitely use and recommend Stronghold Auto . This is the only place I trust for repairs.Art and the crew are always helpful and courteous and get the repair done right the first time.Anyone new to the area? You won't be disappointed with quality of service you get here. Small town service you can't find anywhere anymore. We coasted in just grateful there was a mechanic that a couple of local people highly recommended. We left with our car running like it had never run before- the service was exceptional, and the prices were more than fair. They only took care of the real problem, instead of running us down a rabbit trail like the last mechanic we took our car to see if he could fix it. Instead, we ended up down a dirt road stranded. So nice to know of good mechanics who care, highly recommended!

Art, I hope you read this so you can read what your mechanic did to the trailblazer. I went to college for a year to learn mechanics and worked at a Johnson/Evinrude dealer for 18 years with numerous factory training classes. The one thing that stood out was the main wiring harness clamp on the top of the block, the large metal one was on, BUT THE HARNESS WAS NOT IN IT. The smaller plastic one was intact when the vehicle came in to your shop and was broken when I picked it up. With the smaller plastic wiring harness clamp broken and the harness out of the big metal clamp, that harness was really loose. That was hard to believe. That idler pulley was just replaced by me when I did the belt I inspect my parts carefully, he nicked the idler pulley up good. The alternator is a tight squeeze, you have to be careful about that. When I took it out myself to do the job again I was able to get it back in while protecting the pulley. It's not hard, it just takes a little more time. There is 3 bolts that hold the alternator to the block, 2 longer than the other one. One of the longer ones was so dirty with dirt and grease when I removed it a small amount of metal shavings came out with it. Needless to say I cleaned the bolts and the internal threads of the block before putting it back together. On a separate note Please Please if you care about the vehicles do not use Multi-Vehicle ATF in a Subaru. Even though that meets Dex3 it's thinner than Idemitsu HP ATF Idemitsu manufactures the OEM Subaru ATF) The difference in the way that 4EAT 2001 Subaru transmission shifts is night and day. The Idemitsu HP ATF is 5 quarts for 46 dollars at the time of writing this. That is a Bargain considering how the car shifts compared to the Valvoline Max Life Multi-Vehicle ATF at 18 dollars for 5 quarts. You get what you pay for.Service: Electrical repair

I had a tire going flat. They pulled the tire, found the leak and patched it on the inside. (the way it's supposed to be done....no tire plugs) All back together and I was on my way for 20 bucks total cost in about 1/2 hour. You won't find higher quality work at a better price anywhere!

I went in with a part I bought to have someone put in they went above and beyond to help me, but I had the wrong part. They gave me the part number so I could get it and come back but decided to have them get the correct part I would recommend them 150%

I had a flat tire and I was waiting for the staff in uniform to help me but they all just kept doing other stuff and it was another man who didn't work there but helped out who came to help me and fix my tire. He had me out of there in ten mins.. Kiddos to that guy

Charges reasonable but work was not the best. However, the diagnostics were correct. Next visit will request the most experienced mechanic.
