We took our 2001 VW Eurovan/Winnebago Camper van To Joe Alvarado for a transmission repair. Parts for these utis are hard to come by bu they stuck with it until the job was completed and did a great job. The original orice qui=ote was honored and I know the had more hours into the repairs than they had quoted. As retireees, we appreciated thier honesty and integrity.

Ask for Joe. He took good care of my Nissan Maxima 2011. He replaced my struts and axle with an affordable price. The timing and service was excellent!

Could not have asked for better service! Took my truck in to have the transmission rebuilt. They even gave me a ride to work after dropping it off! Joe worked with me closely throughout the entire repair. It was clear they take pride in their work. The following week I drove cross country pulling a trailer and ATV and my truck ran beautifully! They are now working on my son's car. Good, honest mechanics are hard to come by so when you find one you stay with them.

I needed to fix the transmission on my old 1992 Toyota Tacoma so my daughter could get around, I called the manager, Joe, after a friend recommended the shop to me. Once I had it towed in for a diagnosis, Joe took his time to explain to me what needed to be done and answered all my questions, which is rare and a good sign. They had my daughter's truck for a week and half, during which they kept me informed on the progress being made, the Tacoma drove beautifully once it was finished, my daughter loves it. The price was right and the service was very professional, I'd recommend Transmission Center wholeheartedly, thanks Joe!Service: Transmission

Joe was very upfront with what he thought was going on. He tested it and gave us an estimate up front. He knew we needed the vehicle and worked hard to get it done as quickly as possible. When my daughter picked up the vehicle, she said it finally sounded the way it should have. It sounded much better than even after we had the dealer work on it. I wanted to add a review, for the team at the Mesa store, they just completed a full rebuild of the transmission for my 2001 Hyundai Accent - so far its working very well (1 month). The guys were friendly and even contacted me with an electrical issue that may have caused the problem in the first place. They took longer than promised by a few days- but correct is better than fast in my book. Being a part time mechanic myself I understand how much work is involved here. Over all I was happy with the work performed. Good job guys. If the car holds up I will be back with others when needed. And Joe has a great honest haircut too... Just saying, its same as mine.. that's got to be worth something. Great crew at the Mesa site.. Thanks Guys you made a big expensive problem a little less painful and easy to deal with, my vehicle is back running and dependable again. Plus the 3yr guarantee is the best I've seen. Joe was awesome! I took the car to him as a last resort while everyone was telling me to scrap it and he was able to swap my old transmission with a new one without any trouble. This place is legit! They tackled the whole thing in a professional and timely manner. I would recommend this place to anyone and would definitely be going back if I ever need any other work done on my car.

Joe and Carlos were excellent, and really did their best to put my kids 07 Escape back into service. The torque converter failed. They were very quick to tear-down, diagnose the problem, and provide a CLEAR plan on fixing the issue. Parts were ordered and on-site to perform the repair quickly, and completed on the day it was promised with no surprises! Joe really did a great job to make sure I was getting quality parts, and was very honest to recommend which to buy over those having lesser quality and reliability. The Escape drives great. Couldn't be happier! This shop really focuses on honesty and quality. Their efforts go above-and-beyond to not take advantage and provide a great service. They showed I was a valued customer and really cared to keep my job a high-priority and get back on the road. Thanks to you both!

My clutch stopped shifting on my s10 cheve truck so i was at another shop who s price had me thinking i was driving Lamborghini not and old truck. I called the office and the manager was very nice and welcoming. He had his 2 guys coming and pulled my car to the shop and started working on it immediately. I truly recommend it to everyone who s looking for fair prices and great work. Other than that They work with honesty and integrity. Thank you guys

Took my 2005 Jeep Liberty in to have a transmission rebuilt. This company was very professional, prices were more than reasonable and they were very quick in getting my car back to me. I give this company 5 stars and will definitely go back to them when the need arises. I would highly recommend this company!

I have an 02 stratus and was told the transmission was bad and needed to be rebuilt. this was going to cost me a pretty penny so i took it to this shop for a second opinion. It ended up being an output sensor and the wires that go to it. i was very happy to hear that and the manager Joe was very friendly and had my car done by the next day. I would recommend this shop to all my friends. Thank you Joe for saving me a lot of money. I'll be taking in my husbands Blazer next week for a service.Take care.Toni V.

I have been coming to Transmission Center for about a year now. They helped me with my transmission on my cadillac. They did an amazing job and there havent been any issues since the repair! They are completely fair and honest guys. I've been going to them for oil changes because its the only shop i know i can trust. I would definitely recommend them to anybody

I own a 2014 Corolla which had transmission shifting problems, I contacted 2 other transmission centers and they wanted to replace the whole transmission. I called this transmission center in Mesa, Az, then I talked to Mr. Joe which the the transmission center manager. He was a very polite and very good communication, and right away he set me up an appointment the next day. They took only 30 min to connected the scanner to read the codes, the results were 2 shifting cylinoids damaged and he kept the car for 2 days, and he order the part from the dealer. The car was fixed for under 1000 dollars with a year guaranteed with parts and labor, I highly recommend transmission center in Mesa,AzService: Transmission

The staff was very friendly and the work was completed ahead of schedule. Very good warranty and affordable! Joe and Arturo, y'all the alright with me!A year later I've been back 3 times. I was having intermittent issues with my transmission so I paid $1250 for a COMPLETE rebuild. The hard shifting and intermittent slips/studders are still present. Ironically, it rides alright everytime I've gotten it back, but always goes back to the issues I ORIGINALLY took it in for. Don't fall for the 3 year warranty! I was just told "there's something wrong with you" and on a test drive when I got a hard shift "it's a pick up, not a caddy". I'm done!

This is to all existing and prospective customers of Transmission Center Mesa. I gladly write this review and encourage you all that this is the place to make your home for all your transmission needs. I have been a customer there coming up on five years now and have to say that this is truely an ethical shop with great management. You can t beat their prices or 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. I was approaching the end of my 3 year warranty and had to bring in my Saturn when it started to shift hard in all gears and Joe gladly took it in and addressed the problem of replacing the throttle position sensor which had to be purchased from the dealer. This fixed the problem and proved to me these guys back up their warranty as they claimed they would at no cost. I have been around for many years dealing with many shops and have to say this one is not out there to take advantage of anyone but truely operates to do what s best for the customer. There s a lot of crooked shops out there and this one is a rare find. Straight as an arrow. Tried and true. Can t recommend enough. Joe, Carlos and Transmission Center Team..... Thank you all, Jon

Brought my 700r4 transmission to the mesa location with Joe and his team to have a full rebuild. They moved the transmission to their Phoenix location where I mainly communicated with Carlos. I was initially told it would take three days to receive the transmission back but upon opening the transmission and inspecting the case they noticed a lot of wear. I recieved a phone call right away stating what they had found. Instead of having to buy a new transmission case, Carlos was able to get it to a machine shop and get it fixed the same day and finish the rebuild the following day. I recieved the transmission back in a very timely manner of 4 days. Upon installing the transmission into the el Camino, it felt as tight as a brand new transmission. I've waited 3 months to post this review so I could run the transmission through the ropes. Been using the el camino as a daily driver without a single issue so far. They whole process with this company was pleasant and painless. Carlos did an amazing job of keeping communication with me and being totally honest through the whole rebuild. I have enough trust in this company that I would not hesitate to send anybody else their way. The price of the rebuild was very fair and they even painted the transmission case before returning it to me. The warranty is pretty impressive and I know if I had any issues with this transmission, Carlos would promptly take care of it. Thanks guys for your hard work, your integrity and getting me back on the road!

Picked this place as the most reasonably priced to rebuild the transmission in my truck. They were very good at communicating every step of the way. And with a 3 year warranty for the transmission? Golden.

I normally go to the Phoenix Location on 75th & Indian School, but I was in the area of the Mesa location and decided to get my car looked at for a leak. Had various mechanics look at the car and couldn t figure out as to wear the leak was coming from. Brought it into Transmission Center where they found the problem in about 15 minutes at the most. Their prices are very fair and they make you feel welcome. I can definitely trust both locations with my vehicle. Thank you for the service!

Shopped around and they had the best price and warranty. Not only did they rebuild my transmission. But they took the time to figure out the cause. They could have just rebuilt it and sent me on way. But I would have been back with the same problem unless they took care of what caused it to fail. I'm glad I went to them.

I just wanted to thank the people that work here. They are very polite and help me get my car back ASAP. They have a very friendly service. They explained to me what exactly my car needed. And the best part is the there price was the best one I found here in Mesa.it nice to have a good shop to go to when you need it

I came in here because my 2010 Pontiac engine was starting to fail, these gentlemen were very polite and had very quick service. I recommend everyone to come here, I will be coming back if I have any more car troubles. The owner is so nice, really funny guy!!!

I took my car to get serviced and it was quick and easy. The mechanics here know what they are doing and were very helpful. At other places I had to wait for hours on end and they never really explained what was entirely wrong with my vehicle leaving me in the dark. I will gladly be taking my 07 kia spectra here next time I need it.

Go see Joe!!! Thought my transmission was going and thanks to Joe it was a cheap sensor!!! As a woman I am always worried about mechanics taking advantage of me but upon arriving I was helped by joe. He was fairly priced and most importantly honest. I scheduled the work and was in and out in the time and price I was quoted. Definitely recommend this shop

Please stay away for your own good. Learn from my 2400.00 mistake. Joe the owner is not a man with integrity. I was promised higher end parts for additional charges. Agreed and had my entire transmission redone with what I was told was all new parts. Went to pick it up and Joe wasn t there. The mechanic working had trouble explaining the service done (language barrier) so I picked it up and called Joe. He became upset when I asked for the part numbers he said had installed. He became extremely frustrated and loud, then just handed the phone to a mechanic that had no clue what was going on. I explained to the mechanic, all I want is to know what I paid for. What parts did you put in my truck? He said that sounded fair told me he would talk to Joe and reach back out. After a couple days I called back and Joe was still upset and I still didn t have any information about what was in my transmission. I called another location and spoke with Carlos (who I had previously talked to) and explained the situation. I let him know, if I went to Autozone I would have options on parts. If I wanted to pay more I could get better parts. Each of these parts have their own part number. So as if I didn t have access to the internet I was given made up part numbers. The term Super Duty was used as if it was the name of the part. I then explained to Joe that I m not knew to the automotive world. The term super duty didn t come on any parts. It s a Ford term to brand their heavy duty trucks and was in no way related to my Dodge. It s a made up word he put on the paper work to look good. He also put down that he replaced electrical components that don t even exist on my transmission since it s hydraulic (47RH) and only overdrive is electronic. Yes, I know the exact model of my engine 6BT and my transmission. At the end of the day all I wanted was to know what I paid for. Provide the part numbers that you say are new and installed in my vehicle. Instead I m forced to dispute through my credit card company. Something I m sure neither of us want.Please learn from my mistake. He talks a good talk but has no idea what s he doing.Buyer beware

Being a pool guy I rely on my vehicle to get around, so when i need something done fast and fairly priced I always go to Joe at this location!He's a family man with loads of experience.I highly recommend this place for anybody who wants honest service and reasonable prices.
