This would be the second vehicle I have taken to you people, and again I'm experiencing new issues that weren't occurring before my vehicle was brought to your shop.My truck literally died while I was in motion ON the freeway, do you people have any idea how dangerous that is, not only do I feel you sabotaged my vehicle again, but your terribly inept mechanics put my life in danger.I called and got excuses, shirking responsibility and claiming that my truck is just old and these problems were going to happen.I am going to repeat that the issues I'm now experiencing never occurred before I went to this so called "mechanic".My jeep was brought to you people 4 years ago and after you kept it for two weeks, I get it back and all the sudden I have to stop after every 50 miles to put water in my radiator, took it back because you're people claimed it was under warranty, lo a behold we have to drop another $2k into only for my jeep to die two months later and I'm forced to sell it.I dropped $3500 on my truck and now whatever you people did to it I'm now forced to sell this truck.I'm filing a complaint with the better business bureau, with adot, and I'll be reporting you all to 3 on your side until I am reimbursed in full for both vehicles, plus the mental anguish I had to go through because of your unskilled hands touching my vehicle.If anyone has a car at this mechanic, get it out now, do not let them go near it. The people working for this shop shouldn't even be touching their own vehicles.Go to an actual professional.And to the individual replying to these reviews, I suggest you choose your words carefully, because the instant you try passing the blame on me, like you've done to these other folks, I will come after you for slander.There is no way two vehicles worked on by you people immediately fail after because of non related issues

Most honest & knowledgeable repair shop Ive ever been to! Was told I needed a new transmission by other company. Turned out I only need a flush n conditioner.

Horrible experience! Car was dropped off at the wrong location and was not notified until they had to process my card multiple times. Tow truck had to go back and pick up the car from a random location. On top of that they lectured on what kind of tow truck I should have asked for. In what world would one know that? After speaking to a rude supervisor who would not refund the cost for the town and the mistake they made. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST They threaten to keep your property if contacting the bank about fraud. If I could go into negative stars for the review I would. DO NOT use them as they are rude, and discriminate against gay individuals.

Brought in my 2007 Acura TSX, with emissions light alarming. It's an old car with a lot of miles so I was expecting a ton of "you need this!" What I got was a fair price on quality work without the upsell. I appreciate respectful no pressure businesses. Thompson's made a usually stressful and unpleasant experience, easy and affordable.

Thompsons Automotive is a great place to go for excellent quality and service.They are fair on their prices and the work is always done correctly.They don't treat women like dummies. They are very respectful and pay attention to what you are saying.Joey and his dad are great. They give me rides home to wait for my repairs to be done. They pick me up when the car is finished.

Don't come here if you have the mycarcareplan program and are assigned this "repair shop". They will intentionally cause issues to give you reason to come back and use the vouchers that's provided by the program and thus spending tons of money to repair the issue they caused. It's happened to me and others; from other accurate 1 star reviews I've read from earlier reviews. Not a trustworthy mechanic shop, don't let all the awards they blatantly display fool you like it it did me.

We are very satisfied with Thompson's. We take all 4 of our vehicles here and have been coming for years. They don't try and sell is stuff we don't need, which makes us trust then when it's time to put some money into the cars. You can probably find cheaper but their prices are very competitive for a full service mechanic, and way less than the dealer. Even better, my wife trusts them. It's like a good babysitter you trust...you enjoy date night so much more when you know your kids are in good hands. That's how it is with our cars and Thompson's.

I am thankful for the referral from All City towing. I was stranded for 4.5 hours waiting on a horrible Towing company called Charity Towing to come pick my car up. I called Thompson Towing and was picked up 6 mins after scheduling services. 6 mins and half the cost of what Charity was charging!!! I am so grateful for this company. Tow truck driver Michael was very kind and helpful. I truly appreciate his help. Thank you so much for helping me out!

This place is the sketchy tow yard you hear horror stories about. They will do everything they can to put roadblocks in front of you getting the vehicle back from them. God forbid you have to do business with this company. They make a living off the backs of hard working individuals that are down on there luck.They will try to charge you "after hours" fees for no reason. They will tack bills and fees on to everything. The fact this company is in business is proof our system is flawed. I hope nobody gets their vehicle towed to this yard! Especially after an accident!! I feel robbed.

I always go to Thompson's for auto repairs. They do it right and if something is not quite right take it back and they will check it out. Joey has serviced my car for years. I am a cancer patient and Joey keeps my car in good repair to get me to the endless appointments associated with it. Every time I get it back it runs like a top.

Been going to Thompson Auto for 10 years. They have always been fair on price and done good work on several different cars of mine. I recommend Thompson Auto to anyone looking for a new mechanic.

My experience with everyone at Thompson's Auto has been very professional and courteous. I have taken 3 different vehicles in to be serviced and have never been disappointed. They go above and beyond every single time. The one and only time I had a minor issue following service, they had me in the very next day and fixed the issue with no questions asked, no hassle and very little wait. I also appreciate that they are very active in the community, helping other businesses and residents of Mesa. They have earned my business for a very long time.

Had a very good experience with these guys. They came highly recommended. Work was done quickly, and efficiently. Charlie even tried to help when it came to the costs. Auto repairs are never fun to have to deal with, but the guys at Thompson's Auto Repair made it a little bit easier.EDIT: A few weeks later, my AC started going out in my car. I brought it in. They found the leak, fixed it right up, and I was back on the road within 1 day. And they didn't try to charge me for it, since it was related to work they had done. Great integrity.

As a female who has been taken advantage of countless times over the years with dishonest mechanics, I am always quite reluctant in having to bring my vehicle in to any repair shop. Thompson's team, however, treated me both respectfully and with professionalism when I brought my car in for a free oil change (coupon received via Salvation Army's Christmas Tree Angels). Even when they got grease and residue on the front hood and bumper of my vehicle, they responded immediately and took care of it for me. They even went as far as to offer to have my entire vehicle detailed to rectify the issue. Although I kindly declined, I will remember the gesture and plan on being a returning customer for years to come!

These people towed my car and held it for well over a month. I reached out to them several times and it came across as if they wanted to work with me. They ultimately auctioned off my car without contacting me or my lender. My lender said that had they took the time to reach out they could have paid the balance and rolled it into my overall loan. Since they auctioned off my 2018 crossover with 3k miles I am now left with a $400 car payment and a $22K loan that needs to be paid off. Not to mention the fact that my personal belongings were in the car. Photos of my children that I will never get back. Thompson Towing has ruined my financial situation. I am paying for a car that I don't have and when I called them to get more information the lady had the audacity to get an attitude with me. I would stand clear of this business. With one call to my lender or even me they could have drastically changed my life. If they can't pick up a phone why trust them with your car?

My car s engine failed and I had to get my car towed and repaired ASAP. I wasted a bunch of time calling around but finally got Joey on the phone like a true professional. He went above and beyond to provide exceptional and professional services. Had my Ford Escape towed less then 3 miles from an auto body to my house, plus this towing company was within a mile of the pick up location where my vehicle was and i try bringing my business back to Thompson to have my car towed 4.5 miles and they can t work with me on their pricing(it s just crazy how simple the task is & how much a profit they will make off this probably 30-45 minute job, but can t shave $15-$20 off the regular price). I appreciate you not helping and am happy to give another company my money.

I deliver pizza for a living, so it's very important to me that my truck is maintained mechanically. I would not trust anyone but Thompson's to do the work. They may not be the cheapest shop in town, but they use skilled mechanics and are completely ethical in their work. They keep an eye on my truck and let me know when work needs done, but never sell me something I don't need. I have been sent away more than once when I think something needs fixed and they check it and tell me "it's not time yet". All of the employees are friendly and professional and I'm thankful to have found this shop.

So my husband and son purchased a used car and had Thompson's come tow it to the shop to get diagnostic on the car. They told my husband after a couple of days that the engine was all gunked up from sitting so they agreed that it was best to drain the oil and do an oil change etc...to the tune of $406. Oh and they originally quoted about $300 over the phone with my husband. so they did that and said that the car was ready. My son and I go pick it up and it starts right up and sounds good. Well we get about 2 miles down the road and the oil light comes on. So my son pulls over and pops the hood and it's smoking. So after some investigation, there was oil leaking from the bottom near the oil pan. Any good mechanic would have wiped that down.Long story short we call Thompson to come to where we were to tow it back to the shop so that there was no further damage because we didn't know what the issue was. After they get it back to the shop the next day they call my husband to tell him that now that the engine needs about $4000 worth of work on the engine. So not only did they not diagnose the problem the first time but they had the nerve to charge another tow charge when they picked it up after the work was supposedly done the first time. I don't recommend that anyone go there for service because they are not the honest shop they claim to be

These guys are so awesome! My car broke down halfway to Payson and after calling several towing companies, they all turned me down. I called Thompson and spoke to Joey. Great customer service and really personable. They said they would definitely come down and help me out. Mike was able to find us on the roadside and hitched us up no problem. He was so great and I would recommend them for sure!

I was exiting the 202 freeway at Power Rd, southbound, when my car suddenly stopped and the engine died.I contacted my insurance who contacted Thompson's Towing. Within 15 minutes, much to my pleasant surprise, Mel was there, pulling my car on to his truck.The amazing thing was at the drop off pint, my repair shop, a considerable amount of extra work was required to get the car into my mechanic's shop because the right rear axel was seized frozen. Mel went out of his way to help the guys get my car into their shop. It was amazing to watch. Did I mention it was 110� outside? This service was amazing!!!

This review is soley based on the staff member who helped me today! His name is James! He was SO HELPFUL, accommodating and kind. He even got out of his truck to help push my car in the driveway.He was very efficient as well. Definitely will be coming back for his help when I need it; I will 200% be recommending his services! Thompson's is lucky to have such a wonderful member!

After a horrific experience with Ford Roadside Assistance's first towing company, Charity Towing, Ford sent Thompson's. I was given a 45 minute eta, and they were there in 30. The driver, James, called me and let me know where he was and how long he'd be. James was very helpful and very nice. Great personality! Tow drivers are many times the angels in disguise, helping us when we need it most. Thank you James and Thompson's for helping me!

My friend came in soo he could get an oil change with a coupon. Now, he just needed to do a routine oil change, his car was perfectly fine beforehand. Afterwards his car started making a noise and running stiffly. Very soon the engine gave out and started smoking! This completely threw us off guard since everything was supposed to be right with his car (he has taken it to the mechanic to make sure everything is right). Shortly after he took it to the mechanic and they told him that the engine got damaged due to lack of oil. Now, this happened too soon to be a coincidence.Worst part is they are trying to play it off and not take responsibility. Saying they are unrelated when consulting with someone else they can tell it is.Do yourself a favor and absolutely avoid this place.

Great service overall, especially the driver Danny! Couldn t be happier with the experience. Even though the phone got disconnected after waiting on hold for over 5 minutes, they made up for it with their speedy service. Danny rescued my car from the 202 Freeway in less than 25 minutes. I hope I don t need a tow again but if I do I will most certainly be calling Thompson s!!

I've been working with Thompsons for over 15 years and now take my fleet of plumbing vans here for all my service and routine maintenance. Joey, Brian and Thelma know how to run a family operated business and take care of people plain and simple. Getting your car repaired is never a fun experience, especially when getting towed is involved but the crew at Thompsons helps you through every step to make it as easy and fast as possible. Thanks guys for all the years of quality work and customer service!

Our jeep patriot was with you for almost 2 weeks. You kept changing the day on when it would be ready. My husband and I just got married yesterday and a repaired truck was paid for by my father in law as a wedding present. As we both work nights the the truck was finally supposed to be ready and it wasn't till this afternoon. So my husband didnt sleep. The truck almost overheated on the way home. On our way to work it completely broke down and died on us. We were lucky enough to pull it into the parking lot of my work, as my husband bused it to his work. Thank you so much for not bothering to test drive the vehicle ok r fix it or let us know if we needed additional repairs. You can expect a call Monday. And again thank you for making an important moment in our lives a nightmare.

VERY BAD experience at Thompsons Auto repair off Main and Stapley. I'm not very experienced at dealing with auto repair shops mainly because I've been using the same guy since I got my car. But they seemed honest and the tow truck driver was friendly enough. Boy was I wrong. Their tow truck driver misled me to believe that diagnostic/estimate would be free as well as the tow to my own mechanic should I choose not to use them (which he did not honor). After refusing to pay the "you should have known" diagnostic fee, the owner referred to me as "you people" and accused me of wanting handouts. I could not believe the audacity of the owner's self-righteous insult. The driver even admitted to not giving me all the proper information before taking my car to their shop. Without even an apology, or offering to honor his promise to tow my car to my own mechanic; the owner proceeded to preach at me about being a person who wants everything for free! I work 6 days a week and pay my own rent, car, bills, food, etc. I couldn't believe what was happening. Also, I didn't see one single female or person of color working there...that's a big red flag for me because I'm Asian American. Curious what the EEOC would have to say about that. Never again Thompson.

Called them to see if they had someone available to tow my mom's car. They had a gentleman out within an hour. He was so courteous and helpful. He also called when he got her car to the auto repair shop to let us know it was delivered and locked up (it was after hours).
