Our MAN truck didn't start anymore, no workshop in Tucson could or wanted to help us. Luckily we found Reinhard's German Autohaus in Mesa!! Reinhard took care of us immediately and quickly recognized the problem. The new batteries were installed the very next day. Reinhard was able to solve all the installation problems - he's a great mechanic! We can wholeheartedly recommend this workshop!Service: Auto battery replacement

Called Reinhard's and told them the exact issue I had with a torn rubber bushing. Told me over the phone to bring it by as they could do the job. 30 min later I get a phone call saying that they need to replace an entire part over $1,100 because a $12 rubber part failed so my OTD price was over $2,000. I asked why, and she told me that "we can not get the $12 bushing separately and have to buy the whole assembly". I said, "That seams a little strange". She told me "The dealership would only sell it as complete unit".Little did they know I had the $12 bushing in my trunk that i had purchased directly at the dealer. I explained that I had already sourced the part and she rudely told me they would not install outside parts and the only way i would get my car back was by paying a $180 drop fee (similar to a tow service or impound lot).It shocked me that they were so quick to push me away and tell me to come pick up my car with out even considering building a new customer and still making money off the labor. For the record I was never verbally told their was a fee, I'm sure they have it on their boiler plate fine print at the bottom of their customer agreement. I have heard of shops doing these tactics, but usually only the lowest of the low. So I paid their ransom, and as a result the get a 1 star review.ThanksService: Transmission

I took my 2017 BMW X3 in for a diagnosis due to engine light coming on/off. I was expecting good service, honesty, and integrity. I will explain the diagnosis and the service and you decide if you want to take your vehicle to this shop. Diagnosis: need a new battery, mind you this is a service shop that specializes in foreign vehicles. They replaced the battery with an interstate brand not original BMW battery. Cost of battery $369, tax $32, LABOR $455, for a total of $856. Integrity zero, if you do not feel this is rip off than utilize this shop. I told the shop I was expecting a BMW battery and the owner stated that is not what we use. Just an FYI, I put this story on Reinhard's website, needless to say it does not appear on their review section. Apparently the owner only posts good reviews not TRUSTWORTHY. Hope this helps anyone who is just expecting service, honesty, and integrity.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

We had Reinhardt's German Autohaus perform the B service on our GLC300. Reinhardt is a great mechanic and does excellent work at a fair price. We drove up from Tucson and it was worth the drive. I highly recommend Reinhardt's German Autohaus for anyone looking for an honest and knowledgeable mechanic.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle safety inspectionServices: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle safety inspection

I'm late on my review. But I bought my 2008 BMW 3 series from them. It was such a great experience. The owner and his wife were truly honest and could tell their love for foreign vehicles. With making such a purchase I felt it was clean business and walked away very satisfied. Did not have to worry about emmissions or even getting my new plates they did it all for me. Less hassle is always a plus. I have already recommended a few to them. Thanks again...

Took my Porsche Boxter in thought the head gasket was blown and I let it sit for a while. Was happy to find out from Reinhard that it was NOT the head gasket but in fact the vent valve was clogged with carbon. He did a full tune up and replaced the crank case vent valve in no time at all. Showed me everything it needed before and showed me the parts he replaced after. Great pricing and very fair. I know some of the reviews show he charged for a check out fee well I think that is reasonable if he takes the time to look over the car and work up an estimate of what is needed. This is a great small mom & pop shop and I will recommend them to everyone. Don't be fooled by the other reviews. You can't believe everything that people write on the net anymore. Some people are just not satisfied unless its free and even then sometimes they still aren't happy. Thanks Reinhard for getting my little Boxster back on the road again. Oh and by the way went through emissions that same day with flying colors. You know your stuff man.

For years I took my car to a Mercedes dealership service center but not since I've found Reinhard's. I travel weekly out of state for work and they've always been able to accommodate me with same or next day service for a fraction of the dealership costs. I'm very happy they are located in Mesa and they've done such a great job keeping my CLK running like a dream

I brought in a 1998 Mercedes E320 that needed headlight wiring repair. The electrical shop won't work on foreign cars. The dealer didn't even have the part! They were able to insulate properly a good, used part. Thank you for fitting me into your schedule the same day without an appointment. Now my wife can get to work without an Uber ride!

Drove my car in for a check engine light diagnostic. Was given an estimate for repairs that exceeded the value of the car so I decided not to have any repairs done. When I went to pick up the car it would not start. Reinhard's would not take responsibility nor did they do anything to help to get it started. It failed to start and I had to have the car towed. Now I know that the car needed some service, but I drove it there and I have been driving it without starting issues. Reinhard's has ZERO customer service, they wouldn't even help to try and get the car started. Do not take your care here for repair. They create more problems for your car.EDIT after Reinhard's response: I've owned several Mercedes and turned a lot of wrenches in my time. Fortunately I am at a point in my life where I can afford to have someone else maintain my vehicles. I've seen my share of shady mechanics, like Reinhard''s, that do things like mess with the fuel relay and then want to charge you for a lot of parts and labor when all they do is re-seat the fuel relay and get it running again. So, yes, I'm going to check the fuel relay. Just seems like Reinhard's messed with my car to make more money.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I bought a car from them a couple months back which seemed like a good deal however when i got there to test drive they said i couldnt cause the car had no plates. Seemed kinda sketch anyway i drove around the parking lot and everything seemed fine however as soon as i got home the car started leaking coolant and it turned out the car had a bad head gasket that they tried covering up. Would not recommend avoid this place by all means i just lost about 3k my fault for not checking more thorough they seemed like trust worthy people however they are not.

Horrible place, go elsewhere!!! Front desk lady has horrible attitude and we Had an appointment scheduled for 5 days. We bought the needed parts ahead of time from Audi so we weren t waiting on parts to arrive and alleviate the down time, arrived at 8 when they opened to be turned away . They said we wont install customer purchased parts and they no longer had the time for us, they had other cars to catch up on im gonna assume they wouldn t use our dealership parts because they up charge for parts Service: Engine repair

Avoid this place. After many weeks of keeping my van and $16,000 in bills from Reinhard Autohaus, I felt like it was the pre-WWII era, because customer service was a travesty. Failing to fix my MB Sprinter van for good, I was forced to take my vehicle to the dealer where Mercedes Benz of Chandler determined the work completed was far over-billed, substandard and a total fire hazard; they were adamant that repairs needed to be redone for longevity of the vehicle safety of the passengers. Reinhard s even installed a new O2 sensor but it was fried by the time the dealer looked at it because it was wired incorrectly. Tack on another $3,500 just to redo the repairs that were performed here. Hard to believe? Yes but it s 100% true. This was one of the worst auto repair experiences you could have. Think twice before you go to this mom and pop shop.

Surely one of the most offputting service experiences of my 70 years. Drove 4.5 hours in from New Mexico to have a diagnosis on a couple of Sprinter issues. Had a bit of trouble finding them and was immediately denigrated for not being discerning discerning enough to have readily seen their name on the building. Mea culpa.Next, greeted by roughly 20 signs on the wall - all warnings about what you can, must, or cannot do (leave vehicle more than two days, etc). One sign says to enjoy their waiting room, but don't think of asking to use the toilet! They state theirs private.Lastly, they asked whether I was renting a car from Enterprise or was being picked up. I said I was staying, using their waiting room. I was told I was leaving! No waiting for my vehicle. Being from 320 miles away, I literally had no alternative. At this point, I told both owners I was extremely uncomfortable, with both their attitude and all their negative signs. The husband, in a loud and aggressive voice, told me the signs were necessary because customers were always falsely accusing them of things. These folk may be quite technically capable, but I will never know. I departed posthaste - wasting two days of travel but feeling a sense of relief.

I bought a used Mercedes with a rough idle. Reinhard's charged me for a diagnostic scan and told me the only fix for a rough idle was to replace the engine. I went home and poked around youtube for 10 minutes and decided to try replacing the MAF myself before doing anything drastic. The car has been running beautifully since then, over a year now. Needless to say, I'm not impressed with their diagnostic skills and wouldn't recommend.

I gave them a second star only because my car was fixed and no longer has the issue I took it in for. Unfortunately, you run into issues that I didn't anticipate when dealing with a mom and pop type business.I understand you have to 'pay to play' when dealing with BMW's and had no problem with the initial quote of $600 for a belt and tensioners. Coincidentally, I found out later that this was only $50 cheaper than Chapman BMW and I would have gotten a loaner vehicle in using the dealer too.A bulk of my frustration lies in being caught completely off-guard with an extra $100 tacked onto the bill for hoses that were supposedly broken during the work. I was never contacted during the day and when asked why, she said "What'd you want me to do, they were brittle so we had to get them". Being in customer service, I expect the common courtesy to alert a customer of an issue as it comes up or better yet COMMUNICATED AS A POSSIBLE ISSUE BEFORE STARTING THE WORK. Otherwise, I question whether they were really brittle or if the mechanic just broke them. Guess what? Mom and pop sure aren't going to pay for them, they just charge the customer. Maybe the dealer would have handled it differently? I guess next time I'll find out since they'll be getting my business in the future.

Bought a used car from them. It had a cracked gas tank and they tried to say it was not that way when we drove it off the lot. There was gas pouring out by the time we got home. They said they would not sell a car that they would not let their kids drive. I guess they don't like their kids very much.

The staff was extremely rude, will never spend my money at this establishment. The woman at the counter basically tried to insinuate I was sexist because I asked to talk to a mechanic. Laughed at me and said we don t have any mechanics available.....very very disappointing after driving 30 min to check the place out.

Rude front office staff. Refused work on my car because i purchased factory replacement parts and not their aftermarket products..hard to overprice things when customers are knowledgeable and prepared I suppose.
