My girlfriend and I have been taking our cars to Jake for the past 4 years whenever we need anything taken care of. We have always appreciated the fair prices and honest work done here. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle here !!!

Differs from the typical big name and run of the mill repair shop. Jake the owner/tech will qualify customer's vehicle thru estimates that includes diagnostics, labor and time required. He will not accept the repair if he can't do it within a time frame both agreeable to the customer. Furthermore, his estimates gives consumer the option if picking partsb categorizer as good, better, and best depending on customers budget.It's been 6 months since the repair and my old (17 yrs) low mileage 78K SUV is still running as it should and was repaired at a reasonable cost done in one day. Previous repairs made on my vehicle by a big name repair shop in Tempe AZ cost me $$$$ in repairs plus $$$ in car rental not to mention a comeback defective job that a tow truck had to be used for towing from my Mesa home to the shop in Tempe. The comeback cost me more $$ in car rental as it would have to wait as techs are busy with other job.Jake owner/tech gets my business and is highly recommended.

Can t speak into words how satisfied I am. Came to Jakob with my truck that needed a whole new engine. He was honest and extremely knowledgeable and worked overtime just so i could get the truck back in time. This guy is crazy good at what he does.

I have been going to Jake for almost 14 years. From user error to a full engine.He is honest, and fair with his quotes. I don't trust anyone else to work on my vehicles! I live in San Tan Valley and will always drive to Mesa

My engine light went on. I went to a different shop who had charged me $300 just to tell me I needed a new transmission. I called Jake who was busy, but told me to get the code from an AAMCO and he would help over the phone. He was able to do the same diagnosis over the phone for free. On top of that, his recommendation was to NOT get a transmission from him but to check my dealership for an extended warranty on my cars make and model, which it did. It speaks volumes to know that he could have taken my business and job without telling me, but went ahead and told me how it was and at the same time, saving me $5,000+ on a new transmission. Because of that honesty, it shows he is an amazing person and deserves your business.

I do my own mechanical work, but Jake is the guy I take anything I cant handle. He is also the guy I refer all of my friends and family to for going on 10 years now. Every time he comes through with fair and honest service. I was completely lost on what was wrong with my truck and unable to get it to start. Jake took the time to drive to me, get it started and then I brought it over to his shop. He had it diagnosed and repaired in less than 24 hours and at a great price. Great service, timely repairs and competitive pricing, I cant recommend Performance Motor Sports enough.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Jake was very pleasant, honest and accommodating when I called in despair about the possibility my daughter needed a new alternator. He ran through a few Q&A s and felt like we might have had her car issue misdiagnosed. He offered to look at it N/C. While there, he confirmed it wasn t the alternator, cleaned the corrosion on the battery terminals and informed us the battery needed to be replaced, noticing the date on the side of the battery was less than a year and suggested we take it back where purchased for warranty. Then he put air in her tires. We thanked him and got the battery changed out. The next morning he called (by accident) and remembered us and inquired whether we followed through with the battery. He even offered to look at my daughter s car the following day to make sure it would be ready for her upcoming smog. Even though we didn t need anything fixed at the time, he won us over with his honesty and kindness and he will be the first on our list when we need work done.

I highly recommend this place. The owner Jake is very fair and knowledgeable. He's a straight no chaser and will break down exactly what he did to service your vehicle and in a timely manner. Randy Was so incredibly nice to me. He is very patient and goes the extra mile. I had a lot of questions & he never once got impatient or irritated with me. I had some unexpected repairs that needed to be completed and the price to fix everything was very very reasonable. Im a single mom on a single mom budget. Apart from the price, I felt taken care of. Sometimes, you feel like your being taken advantage of when you go to get things done on your car, but not here. They are so thorough, and honest..:. they send you text updates - along with pictures to let you know what is going on. They call you back when they say they will and are easy to get into touch with. I will definitely be coming back for all my regular maintenance and any repairs. I would recommend them to everyone.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Cannot say enough about this owners, jake, honesty and fairness. I had an exteneded warranty with my 2017 accent from autonation hyndai brand new. He read all 5 pages of warranty and showed me where i was scammed by hyndai autobation service shop. Paid for things under warranty and things not nececcary. Etc. I have not a good thing to say about hyndai autonation service shop but i love my accent and its a good little car. Jake was very informative and helpful in explaining how my AC worked and why i needed a new compressor. He did all the extra paperwork and phone calling to do my AC under warranty out of network... working with my warranty people. I highly reccomend Jake and his shop... he is honest to a T and fair in his pricing. So hard to find an honest mechanic that does not take advantage of people. I give him 10 stars!

I've been taking my car here for years now. Jake is fantastic to work with...he's responsive, reasonably priced, and honest about his work. He won't try to pressure you into getting extra work done that you don't need. I'd recommend him to anyone.

The owner of this shop, Jakob Menke, is the most honest, reliable, and dependable auto service professional which I have ever met in any automotive repair shop. This has now been the third vehicle I have owned and brought to this shop, and this outstanding shop owner has not only discouraged me from making less-than-ideal vehicle purchases at times, he has even discouraged me from making changes to my vehicle which would benefit him financially. For me, this type of up-front, voluntary, factual and honest feedback is unknown in the industry.Besides providing his customers with informed, truthful and accurate information, Jake seems to go out of his way to explain to his clients exactly what he has done to the vehicle he just serviced and why he has done it. I have never seen type of thorough explanation given to automotive customers, both male and female, as Jake provides to his valued and normally very loyal and dedicated clientele. In the same way, he is very quick to notice if someone is already experienced in automotive repairs and will automatically adjust his feedback to their level of experience.Because of bringing my vehicles to his shop for some years now, I also know that Jake is extremely careful in hiring people who are also as proficient and thorough as he is. If he is unable to find anyone who is as dependable and knowledgeable as he requires, he will operate the shop alone, on his own for a time, rather than hire someone below his rather demanding standards.If someone has recommended this facility to you, I would not hold back in thanking them greatly in one way or another. You will undoubtedly receive whatever that reward is back many times over from going to this shop, as so many of his grateful and happy customers do on a regular basis. I have gone to no other auto shop in years in spite of the fact that there are numerous other, sometimes highly recommended places, quite near to my home. If you find you agree with my assessment of this outstanding place, I won't be offended if you are able to add some details to this review which I have undoubted missed!

Owner is attentive to the customers needs. I had a power steering leak and he immediately found and fixed the issue. Before that I had him replace my Timing Belt which could have not gone any smoother or at a lower rate.

Jake is a great mechanic, treats people well, has reasonable shop rates, and always explains what he did for you. I am very happy that I found his shop and this is the go-to place for me and my family whenever we need repairs or general maintenance

I took a couple of used cars into Performance Motor sports to have them checked out. They were very honest and thorough and pointed out anything wrong with the cars. Because of them I was able to get my car at a lower price because the breaks and the timing belt needed to be replaced. I took the car to them to have the work done and will continue to use them. These guys are amazing and I highly recommend them to any and everyone. The work quality is great, they are honest, and have fair prices.

The guys are wonderful to work with and was able to get me in earlier than my appointment date. They actually listen to the issue and help to resolve it. Not expensive, but I would be willing to pay more for this great service I had. Jake and Jesse your the best!Thanks Jesse ... for all the help.B

I called to schedule a repair. He listened to my issue, and gave me some suggestions on what to do, and how it may be an easy fix. Walked me through the steps over the phone and I got it to work! He could have had easy money, but, instead, helped me, for free! Next time I do need a repair, this is where I would go. Super honest & friendly! Thanks!

The air conditioning on my Honda CRV had died. I took it to Jake after having received two quotes of around $12-$1500 Jake did it for half that. I trust this man I trust his people

Took my truck into Performance for a check engine light displayed on the dash. I spoke with jake who seemed to always be in a bad mood. he mentioned that my cluster or gauges were malfunctioning no check engine light was coming on. he then proceeded to take my truck to another shop where they would rebuild it for $275 and jake charged me $350. Jake then pointed out that my truck had a bubble on the driver side tire but still proceeded to drive it on the freeway to emissions where the tire blew out and he smashed my driver-side mirror. then without calling me immediately, jake also failed to check under my truck where the spare had been and instead, called tow truck that i had to pay $65 for. only after he had gotten back to the shop he told me about the blow out and never mentioned the mirror. after picking up the truck 3 days later i noticed the mirror and complained because the wheel well was also missing and my power windows no longer worked. jake then told me that my new total would be $450. the original $350 was for him taking the truck to replace the gauges, another $65 for the tow, $10 for putting on the spare tire that he never said he'd charge for, and the final $100 for labor. LABOR FOR WHAT? the other shop rebuilt the cluster. all Jake's tech performed was a check engine diagnostic. AutoZone performs those checks for free. I read the previous reviews on this shop before bringing my truck in and all i can say was this seemed like Jake was squeezing me for money. I am VERY DISSATISFIED and will complain to the BBB. how did my truck come out worse than it went in?! please AVOID this poor excuse for a auto mechanic and save yourself the trouble and money.
