Randy and the team at Performance Automotive were absolutely amazing! I had no idea what I was really looking for in new rims and tires and Randy took his time showing me all of my options. They even had a loaner car for me to use while my truck was getting the new tires and rims done. A friend shared a coupon of $79.95 for wheel alignment so I decided to use that for my Nissan Titan.At the first place they recommended to do the wheel balancing as well with additional $166. I had done that a few days ago for only $15 from Sam s , so I let go on that part.They raised the truck and within a few minutes they sent me an inspection report saying that alignment cannot be done unless they replace the inner tire rod rack . The estimate was $2000. I said I can t afford , let me go. The manager said that you need to pay the inspection cost which is $79.50. I said that s the price for alignment, he said no it 45 cents less .Any how , I had no choice but pay that money to get my truck back. Later I checked the price of the ball joint rack from Rock auto, to my surprise it was only $325.With the above experience , I don t recommend going there . Thanks

Think twice before using this place!!The front end guys, Randy and Ike, are awesome and treat you great. You will even see that I gave them a 5 star rating on Yelp in December. But this time I had an issue and found that the owner, Tony, is worthless and unprofessional. They broke a wheel cover during a wheel alignment and Tony refused to accept responsibility and make it right. Instead I got to hear how he was a retired auto engineer and how they are making cars so much cheaper these days and out of plastic. Blah, blah, blah. So what..Not my fault and when I brought the car in that wheel cover wasn't broke and when they gave the car back it was broke. Don't have to be a retired auto engineer to figure that one out, but don't expect Tony to step up and be a real man to accept responsibility.(added after Tony's response) Well I think Tony did a good job of helping you all understand what I experienced when I raised my issue with him. Lots and lots of words, deflection away from the issue, and ZERO customer care. As a side note, it looks like Laura had a similar poor experience with the customer care after raising her concern - based on her review.Service: Wheel alignment

Brought my truck in here about a month or so ago to get an alignment done. They showed up on Groupon and it was a pretty good deal nowadays so I figured why not. I brought it in, they did an alignment and I was on my way. Right as I left the shop the truck immediately started pulling right. I called back in to have it looked at and told them the issue and Dave told me to bring it back and they will take a look at it. I brought it back in and they had the same technician do the alignment (Joey). They tried to Re charge me and I refused for the reason of this job wasn t done correctly the first time so I shouldn t have to pay again. Dave understood and they fixed the problem and everything has been fine since.Here s the reason I m writing this review. My other car needed emissions done for my registration renewal and it failed. So I called this shop and told them the issue and Randy told me to bring it down and they will diagnose it for 172 and some change is what it was after taxes. (I thought that was little high but it is what it is) I bring it down they have the same technician work on my car (Joey) that had previously done my alignment twice on my truck. They send me a list of things to replace and the total was gonna be just under 2 thousand dollars! I couldn t believe it. I needed to replace the purge valve, the thermostat, and the coolant and heater hoses. I of course didn t agree with that price so I decided to take my business elsewhere. I bought all the parts needed to from the Ford dealership and bought OEM Parts and had them swapped out as I was told but the service advisor Dave that if I swap out those parts I will pass emissions. The cost for all these parts was $473 out the door from a dealership which is of course more expensive. So they were gonna charge me 1500 dollars in labor. Unreal. Well I have those parts swapped and I go back to the emissions center and the old codes that have me fail emissions last time are clear and good but this new code shows up. Of course frustrated i start doing some research. It s a code for a sensor. So I lift the car up at my house and what do you know. The charcoal canister sensor is unplugged. The sensor or plug is of course clean and still in tact so it definitely has not been unplugged for long. This goes to show how shady this shop is. I plugged it back in and had the codes cleared at another shop and it passed emissions a couple days later. This plug was unplugged by someone at the shop. They unplugged it so I would fail emissions and of course I would come back and they would play the oh we will take a look and of course try to rip me off again. Shady places do this type of stuff for suckers who don t know anything about cars. They are very polite I will give them that. But don t be fooled. This is shady work. If that sensor is not plugged in you will fail emissions. I had to get my alignment done twice and they tried to charge me twice. Shady. Then they tried this. Again. Shady. Don t waste your time here. They charge an exorbitant price for the most simplest of things and that s not what an honest shop will do. Especially with things like this. I have never wrote a bad review on any business before but this is definitely worth saying something about. Especially in hard times like today. People taking advantage of others. I m sure the owner Tony will have something to say on here about this long review and deny all allegations. But don t be fooled by it. This place is shady plain and simple.

Dave and Randy are very friendly. I have taken my car there a few times for oil changes with the Groupon discount. This time I was informed of some engine problems. They worked with the warranty company I have. Their rental car came in handy for my drive to and from work. Dave kept me in the loop on what was going on with the repairs.

They told me that they could align my 1965 Mustang so I made an appointment for the following week. When I got there they looked at the car and told me that they didn t have the tools to do the job. I called them out on what it takes to do the job then the manager told me his guy didn t know how to align the car. Also they pointed out that the strut rods were loose they didn t even offer to tighten them up. They let me leave the store with a chance of losing control of my car. I would stay far away from these guys if I were you.

Dave at the front desk was very pleasant and professional. Dave is fantastic!!!!Performance Automotive & Tire Center has a comfortable waiting area.Highest praise to Performance Automotive & Tire Center (EXPERT-MECHANIC) (Javier)!!!!!! Javier not only correctly identified important safety and mechanical issues, he carefully showed me the issues in photos and in person. We are very grateful to Javier, and we will (specifically) request (Javier) to work on any of our vehicles as he is a (Trusted-First-Class) (AWESOME) mechanic, and he is a terrific gentleman!!!!!!Thank you Javier and Dave!!!!! Performance Automotive keeps my 2004 Avalon and 2006 lincoln Mark LT in perfect running shape. With the cost of used cars these days, good and trustworthy mechanics are something we all need as a hedge against inflation. Why buy a new car when you already own a beauty? Performance Auto's Team of Randy and mechanic Joey saved my trip to Canada. I had coolant/ overheating issues and had taken my vehicle to a shop in Scottsdale twice and they could not find/fix the issue. I had used Performance auto before when I lived in mesa. I called them up they got me in the same week and found the issue and quoted the Cost and how long it would take to complete as some part had to be sent out . They gave me a free loaner car while repairs were being done.The vehicle was fixed and the cost actually came in $100.00 less then quoted. Thanks to Joey's auto expertise I did not have one incident the whole 16632 miles and back. Performance Auto, my go to Auto Team!!!!!

Randy and Ike are very professional. Made an appointment to have my brakes replaced on a Saturday. As it turned out, I needed new rotors as well as pads. I'm used to paying a small-town upcharge for mechanical work, so I was extremely happy when I saw how reasonable the cost for repairs was. Plus a lifetime guarantee? Thank you Performance Automotive & Tire Center!

Horrible experience. The manager tried to charge me $170 for an oil change. When I challenged the cost because I purchased a Groupon the manager said "I sick of talking to you, go to the dealer next time". The dealer still would have been half the price. Very condescending and disrespectful man! Will never do business here again, and I am thinking of filing a complaint with the BBB.

Went to them on great reviews and my Groupon was expired. They applied it to a full Synthetic and was very impressed with a full digital overview of things to get done or not. Glad to know shops like them can accept warranty work too. Just glad for the car review, the oil disposal and the on hand supplies I don't have to run to and fro an auto parts store. Not to mention drips on driveway and hands. I'm old-school DIY but it isn't worth doing on my own anymore.

Found my new auto repair shop. Switched from the dealer shop. Have been twice now and got 4 new tires that Randy recommended and are such a step up from my previous ones. Went back for an oil change and tire rotation. Quick time in and out. Randy is such a nice and friendly member of this store. Will be back

UPDATE: After speaking with the manager, they sincerely apologized for the inconvenience and explained that there was a new manager on shift. They promptly refunded the amount I paid on Groupon and emphasized that customer satisfaction is their top priority. I appreciate their polite and understanding approach, and I'm happy to revise my review to reflect this positive resolution. Thank you for addressing the issue promptly!WARNING POTENTIAL GROUPON SCAM:As outrageous as it is, Groupon has refused to refund me, despite the clear mistake and deceptive behavior from the merchant. Performance Automotive & Tire Center was shady, employing bait-and-switch tactics. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with their deceitful sales tactics firsthand. I was initially enticed to get an alignment done here due to a supposedly great Groupon deal I purchased. However, I never received the service and was refused a refund. I scheduled an appointment because it was a requirement in the Groupon description. They called and asked if I could change my 10am appointment to 8am, to which I agreed in order to be accommodating and friendly.Despite their initial friendly demeanor upon my arrival, I was disappointed to discover that they hastily redeemed my voucher without even bothering to inspect my car first. It was only after the inspection that they informed me of the need for additional repairs, which would cost me a staggering amount exceeding $1,000. To add insult to injury, they insisted that these repairs must be done before they can complete the ALREADY REDEEMED GROUPON service. I couldn't even afford to pay the full price for an alignment, and now they hit me with this? They should have taken responsibility and refunded me themselves, but instead, they told me to contact Groupon. They informed me that they would place a 60-day hold on the service and would proceed with it if I repaired the part on my car. However, at that moment, I decided not to continue doing business with them due to their shady tactics. The most infuriating aspect of this situation is that when I took my car for a second opinion immediately following this appointment, the mechanics quoted me $320 to replace the same exact parts, including labor. This indicated to me that Performance Automotive exhibits deceptive behavior, lacks trustworthiness, and prioritizes monetary gains over the well-being of their clients.It is truly disappointing to encounter such unprofessional behavior from establishments like these. This is not only unethical but also a complete disregard for consumer rights. Performance Automotive & Tire Center should take responsibility and rectify this situation immediately.

I needed an oil change but did not want to pay an exorbitant fee for doing so, so I bought a voucher through Groupon to Performance Automotive. I actually rescheduled the oil change twice from its original appointment date and they were very friendly and flexible.When I arrived at the shop, which is a full service garage by the way, they had a welcoming waiting room with an assortment of drinks and snacks along with a promise from the man working the front counter at that time, that it would be a 1 hour wait.All of their oil changes include a 40? point inspection and tire rotation. Since this shop does everything, I asked the mechanic working the counter about some issues and concerns that I had about my vehicle. His responses to my questions were off-putting. He kind of brushed off my questions by giving me generic responses completely impersonal, magnified by the fact that he couldn t take his eyes off his computer monitor even though a live customer that wants to hire your company to fix various issues, is standing right there, waiting to be convinced that Performance Automotive knows their stuff and cares about each guest . It s funny because he told me they have these cheap oil changes to lure customers in so they can perform more extensive work on their vehicles.I would probably not choose this place unless I had to for service on my vehicle, plainly due to the fact that I felt I couldn t ask questions without being annoying and not having eye contact every time I spoke with counter guy made me feel so unimportant as a customer.Thanks for the oil change though guys!!

Had no choice but to use them for a new battery. Paid an extra 100 dollars for them to install it even tho it takes 10 minutes to do, but they won't just sell you the battery. "They have to install it per policy". I'd love to be able to use them in the future since I work across the street, but they've lost any chance of any of my coworkers using them.

Then first time I used Performance I left a glowing review. I thought I had found an HONEST repair shop. I must change that review. Warn people that Randy looked me in the eye & LIED THROUGH HIS TEETH! I trusted him. Costly mistake. I'm a disabled, low income senior that spent $1100 on brakes for my daughter's truck on Randy's assurance that the truck was worth it & the addition repairs were minor. Turns out $5,000 is minor to Randy. He told my daughter it was safe to drive home, to Globe. The rear suspension broke. It's now junk. I went to his shop he denied saying the additional repairs were minor & that he said the truck was safe to drive to Globe. I told him he was lair. He kept denying his words. I said I knew he would do this & started walking out. He kept denying his assurances to me. I then yelled as I was walking out that he was a F___ING LAIR! Not my proudest moment. He is successful. Didn't need to rip me off. BEWARE OF PERFORMANCE. STAY AWAY!!!

Awesome customer service, highly recommended. Bought a Groupon to have my 2010 Mazda 6 aligned, they were unable to align due to some worn out suspension components. I replaced the inner tie rods and rear lateral links and brought it back at no extra cost with voucher from original visit. They got me scheduled same week and alignment was quick. Ike and Tony and everyone I talked to were honest, straightforward, and knowledgeable. Also enjoyed the waiting area with snacks and a view of the shop.

have been going here for over a decade now and they always remember me. they communicate my repairs every step of the way. waiting area has free water/drinks which makes getting my car fixed less of a chore and more of a lil treat. the loaner car is a huge lifesaver when you need it. had to get a large fix recently and randy could tell it was an overwhelming situation to have a bill larger than anticipated (no fault to shop, they found a great deal on a new motor and overnighted it in) and he took the time to actually go get a quick car wash and remove leaves that were built up in the outside crevices. can t recommend enough!

I found a Groupon for a full synthetic oil and filter change plus a 40-point inspection for $49. Not only was that a steel of a price, I was impressed by Performance Auto's really great reviews. And now I can see why! They were extremely friendly, communicative, and made me feel comfortable from beginning to end. They also took photos to show what they inspected and any issues, or soon-to-be issues, with a detailed explanation on each area. I love that they show proof of any issues, so you know they're not trying to take advantage. There is also no pressure to get a problem fixed until you're ready to do so. Absolutely amazing. Ike and the team were great and got the work done with no gimmicks. I was scheduled for 2 days out but they were able to get me in immediately. There was an issue with my car that caused issues for the team with aligning but they figured out a way to make it work anyways with no additional cost. Because of this, my alignment took probably twice as long, but they gentlemen were great and had me back on the road in an hour and a half. Very hospitable, fast, and quality work. I highly recommend going here. I have never had a car aligned before, but now that I know their service quality, I will be going to them more often.Service: Wheel alignment

I highly recommend Performance Automotive. They did a four wheel alignment on my car. They told me it would cost me $90 or so. They ended up only charging me $49. Problem ResolvedMy wife and I developed a vehicle issue while on vacation in Mesa. 1600 miles from home and didn t know what we was going to do, until I took a chance and went into Performance Automotive & Tire Center and spoke to Randy McKenzie. He listened to our situation and worked us into their busy scheduled. They not only corrected our problem, he provided us a loaner car while they had our vehicle. The staff got us back on the road by lunch time, and the work was done at a very fair price. To Randy and his staff, Thank You for going above and beyond to help this out of state couple.
